Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good MONDAY Afternoon everyone! (Just doesn’t feel like Monday to me.)

I’ve been on hold on the phone for 9 mins to just confirm a lousy Dr’s appt Jan 4th. Yup....staring out the New Year with a bang and going to get results from the latest MRA of the head. I feel that this could have been a PHONE conversation. The Dr is a surgeon, now what does that tell you?? He’ll want to do some kind of surgery or explore to keep his “Yacht” payment up to date. Not going that route without a LOT more opinions.

Got a call from Arts Ophthalmologist Office to go over his health report. Since he can’t hear very well on the phone I got to answer all the questions. Joy, Joy! Need to pick up a prescription at the annex office just 5 mins from our house for the expensive drops. The nice lady had them send a sample bottle to save us $45 bucks. Like I told Art ....”if you don’t ask for them....you don’t get them“. I happened to remember getting the sample eye drop when I had my eyes done. The cost has come down considerably for that one drug since I had my eyes done. It use to cost over $225.00 without insurance.

Dave: Hope you and Kathi are not too sore today.
I think Kathi is taking things downstairs early because she is retired this year and has more time to do things. Good for her FoodSaving some of the HAM.
I diced up some of our Ham for future Quiche makings! Love my FoodSaver machine for things like that and sauces, chili, stews, soups, meat, etc.

I’m going to attempt to put in a small order at our Kroger store sometime today for Curb side pick-up. I’ll report back on how that works out if I do it.

Rita/Bill: You guys busy packing up a few months worth of clothes, medicines, paperwork etc, etc. Amazing how much you have to get together for a Winter vacation. I often wonder how people that FLY to Florida, Calif or Arizona manage it with the cost of luggage fees these days. Good thing you have a car going down That you can fill up. Don’t forget to pack Toilet paper and sanitizer. Who knows if they have any in the stores in tourist areas.

SAN: Are you and Nancy still planning on driving to McCloud for New Years?
Looks like it will be in the 40’s with some rain for the first few days of the New Year. Bring warm clothes and boots!

BB: Hope your plants are okay.

Going to make a big pot of Beef Stew today. I got one of those roast last week...Buy one get one FREE. Going to make both and give Marie & George some. Poor Marie is still traveling back and for and staying with her daughter in Ann Arbor. She can use a break from cooking. I’ll get it to her When she gets home on Wednesday. The daughter got 3 transfusions and has a new Oncology Team after her latest week long stay in the hosp. Good to know her Mom said she looked much better. Amazing what a transfusion can so for you. Keep her in your prayers folks. She’s young and a good person. Shouldn’t have to be going through this crap.

It drizzled rain here last night and the snow is gone for now.

Toothache is much better, but it’s still in the background if you know what I mean. Dentist isn’t in his office until the first of January. Can you imagine how many people like me he will be hearing from? Yikes.

Out of here for now.

Lee show this picture to Lu-Ann. I tried to message it to her and she said it didn’t come through. Your PUPs need this for their walks down by the water. Ha ha.

Not much going on here today.
We took the pups for their walk in the park. It looks like the path through Fort Malden is closed for the winter.
The snow we got on Christmas Day is all gone Dave. It was 38F at 22:30 hrs last night. It’s 34F now. I can’t help but think that Our Marcia, like Karen did, would have been after you to get Yak Trax for when you go outside.
How‘s Art feeling Kathie. Trying to misdirect your lack of compassion for that poor ailing man of yours by posting a puppy picture doesn’t work on all of us. Hope your tooth is nothing serious. So sorry to hear about your neighbour. He wouldn’t be allowed out of the house for 14 days if he lived here.
Your post popped up after I hit “post”. I showed the dog suits to Lu-Ann. Problem is, well, I wouldn’t send our dogs out in their underwear!
Pat, I thought that there weren’t any fireworks allowed in the community? We didn’t know what the paths in the other park would be like so we left the pups at home. Because we were walking together we masked up. Better safe than sorry!
Karen, we had a package take four days to get here from the sorting plant three hours away. What ticks me off even more is knowing how the transportation networks operate. Our tree usually stays up until New Years too.
Are we good with my Bills being 7 point favourites tonight Bill?
I’m glad somebody reminded us what day it is. With Christmas on Friday and our “mock down” starting Saturday it’s really quite mixed up.
You all stay extra safe. Seeing what happened to Kathie’s neighbour just goes to show that we never know how close this damned virus is to all of us.
Stay well friends.

Good morning.

Good comeback Kathie.

Yesterday, Matthew, John and Anthony installed a new hot water heater in the garage. Nancy and I are so blessed to have our kids looking out for us.

Wednesday we leave for McCloud and return on Sunday. Masks etc. will be worn.

Hope all the injuries in this bubble will get better quickly.

Trump holding out until the last minute to sign the relief bill is just another way to screw with all the American People (Republicans and Democrats) for not electing him to a second term. Pathetic little moron!

Break time for a minute.
Toothache update: Started to hurt again and I took a chance and called the dentist’s office. They WERE ACTUALLY THERE!
Dentist ordered me 2 different meds to calm the dang tooth/jaw ache. I was so glad he was working today. Now to see if the meds I picked up thru the drive-thru window work!

Always something.

Art is still hurting when he gets up and walks up and down the basement stairs.
Time to put your MONEY DOWN that he’ll go on a Bike Ride tomorrow.

Back to the movie series.

Only 22 more days of the Buffoon trying to mess things up, since he lost the election.

"ham, eggs, and French fries all cooked together in the same pot." I've got to admit BB, that's one combination I've never heard of. Sounds like one of my mystery-brews.

K2; Kathi is not sore anymore, but I am. But it's slowly getting better with each passing day. Hope your Kroger pick-up goes smoothly. All of our grocery pick-ups have gone well. And we wonder why we didn't do this before. No dodging carts, being near maskless people, or long check out lines. Not to mention that they load your car. Great picture of the 3 doggies. Feel for you on that tooth acting up again.

Did you send your doggies out in Christmas outfits this year, Lee?

With a new hot water heater, San, you no longer have the excuse to only take a bath on Saturdays.

After Sunday night's warm temperatures and rain, there is no more snow on the streets, driveways, or walkways. And only a small amount on people's lawns. PLUS "Fuzzbutt" is no longer afraid of the 3 backdoor steps. A whistle or just a look gets her right inside.

Good morning, y'all! I hope it's as pretty where you live as it is here. Not a cloud in the sky! Plus temps are getting back to Florida normal.

K2 - Glad the dentist was able to send you some meds to help ease the painful toothache.

Dave - "ham, eggs, and French fries all cooked together in the same pot." I've got to admit BB, that's one combination I've never heard of. Sounds like one of my mystery-brews.
Not really weird. You can order ham and eggs with a side of french fries anywhere. Difference here is that I bake the fries first while peppers, onions and diced ham are cooking. Once baked, I put the french fries into the pot with the other stuff and then add 18 eggs and scramble it all together. Takes a bit of muscle to keep mixing it until the eggs are cooked. I guarantee that when G&E's gang are here, they will eat every drop! For some reason everyone in our whole family loves this and we all make it a bit differently.

I have been going nuts here this morning trying to get through to the health dept. to make an appointment to get the vaccine. Today is the first day they are giving shots and by the time our neighbor gave me the number last night, they were already closed. So I have to keep redialing the number to only hear a busy signal each time! I may be at this all day!!!

Time for a cup of coffee while I wear out the buttons on the phone. I'll be back later. :)

Woo Hoo!!!! Got through to the Health Dept. and we have a 1:00 appointment to get vaccinated. Plus we don't even have to get out of the car! Step #1 to becoming a human again instead of a car seat warmer!! LOL

Roll up your sleeve Pat. This won’t hurt a bit. That’s some concoction you make! Sounds like a Kitchen Aid stand mixer would be handy to have.
since he lost the election.
Um, Dave. Are you gonna tell him or should I? I couldn’t believe how quick our snow got away the other day. Yet, just a couple of hours up the road they have a ton of it! All the pups have coats. Right proper coats. And hats because their ears can and do get cold.
I always wonder why it’s called a “hot water heater”? If it’s already hot why do you need to heat it?
It‘s not often I get to ask this question but, Bill, “Are the Patriots you know and love going to show up for last nights game?” ;) Alas, another season ends in a draw. But I will consume a pack of M&M’s in your honour.
I’m amazed that the dentist was there too Kathie. Now, normally I’d be concerned and offer up some sympathy. Especially when it’s a danged tooth ache. But considering how you’ve treated poor Art and his injury, well, I just have to say “suck it up buttercup”.
That is what you wanted me to say, isn’t it Tony?
When can you get the vaccine Karen? Will you and your sisters all get it at once? I heard that the line forms behind Rubio.
We took the pups to a different park today. Katie and Ava seemed to enjoy the change of scenery. Bear, as usual, waited in the van for us. At 12 1/2 if he wants to wait or wants to come that’s OK by us. Then we popped over to Starbucks drive through for a free sandwich, a couple of coffees and a soon to be gone slice of gingerbread loaf.
I best be off. I sincerely hope that you are all well and remembering to...

Hello all.
Lee: I’m still laughing over your post. I see SAN has you doing his diety work for him. Great come back regarding NO SYMPATHY for my Tooth Ache!

BB: Good for you getting the Vaccine. Now that doesn’t mean you go around without a MASK. I must say both Art and I are amazed that ALL the First Responders and folks i. Nursing Homes have already gotten their Vaccine shot! Seems almost impossible. But hey.....if they told me I could get it tomorrow I’d be in line ASAP.

Dave: I didn’t do the grocery ORDER/Pick-UP Yet. Still have a good supply of food between the cupboards and 2 refrigerators.
Nice that your pooch will climb the 3 steps. Saves a lot of time.

NEWS FLASH: Art did go biking late this morning. He stayed in the subdivision to avoid any ice on the trails. And he is now sitting on a heated Gel Pak for his sore Hamstring Muscle. Ha ha.

Sunny and bright and dry outside. Soon to CHANGE into rain, sleet, Ice and then snow the next 3 days! Joy, Joy.

Back to chopping veggies for my Beef Stew. I used the Pressure cooker to tenderize the meat. Did a good job.
Be safe everyone.
Later

K2 - Of course, you don't go around without a mask on, even if you've had the vaccine. This was only the first dose. We have to go back in 4 weeks for the second shot. Then you have to wait another 4 weeks before you are safe, but should still wear the mask around others.
So many people were trying to make appointments today, their whole phone system crashed! I'm glad I called early this morning. I told my friend to make an appointment, but by that time the system was down.
I would have loved to have beef stew tonight. Instead we're just having fish sandwiches. They're ok, but beef stew sounds so much better!!

Lee - A Kitchen Aid stand mixer would only be good to scramble the eggs before they go in with the other ingredients, so I just scramble by hand and keep mixing it all together on the stove. Actually, the Grille has something similar they serve for Sunday brunch, but with the potatoes on the side.
That a-hole Rubio did nothing but deny the seriousness of the virus and followed his leader's directives, but wasted no time in getting in line for his shot. O sure hope the people of Florida remember this, but as Bert pointed out, he has an R after his name and the stupid people will reelect him again!

After we finished getting the vaccine, we took a quick run into Sam's, or I should say Bert did, to pick up a few things we needed. He said he was amazed the was people were buying multiple cases of water. Why? There's no hurricane coming. Maybe they're the people still mixing and drinking the Kool-Aid!!!!:D

I still need him to take a trip to Publix to pick up my meds that are ready and also get a few other things we need for NYE.

I think it's time to get some snacks ready as it's almost happy hour here! ;):emoticon 0137 clapping:

Good afternoon...

Lee, no plans at the moment to get the vaccine....I'm not one for getting the flu shot either so unless they require it for travel I'll pass...not sure about Jane or Barb...but since neither of them are out in Public very much I doubt they will either...

Pat, that is an interesting food combination...but it does sound good...I may have to give it a try one of these days...

Dave, glad Kathi is feeling better after the recent tumbles...hope you feel better soon as well...I don't blame fuzzbutt for being cautious about the steps...he seen how you & Kathi have been ending up lately...

Kathie, glad you were able to get some meds from the dentist...now hopefully they will work quickly!! Nice that your brother was able to spend some time with family over the holidays!!

Tony, since you will be heading to McCloud tomorrow I will go ahead & wish you an early Happy New Year now....have a great time with the family!!

Well...2 down & 1 to go....the package I mailed to my niece on Dec. 7th was finally delivered today....I filed another report on the last package...so "maybe" someday they will find that one & deliver it as well...
Got an email from the Ohio lawyer yesterday & I had missed signing one of the forms in the 2nd batch I had sent him....I told him about the original packet showing as delivered & he checked and I had signed the form in that set...so finally everything is there & filed...
Got most of the Christmas stuff packed up & put away....will change the sheets on Thurs & wash & put away the Christmas bedding...Friday the tree comes down...it appears that raising the tree did the trick as far as keeping Ginger out of it...even with no presents under it to block it she hasn't bothered it....I may try having it a little lower next year to see if she will still leave it alone...
Made some potato corn soup out of the last of the Christmas ham...not to bad...but I forgot to get some shredded cheese to put in it...oh well...I can add it later when I take it out of the freezer....enjoy the rest of your day all!!

Happy New Year to you too Karen. I wish you would get the vaccine.

I took Nancy to Walmart. She wears gloves and a mask. Afterwards, I went to Costco to fuel the Silverado for the trip North.

Pat, I am jealous that you have already received you vaccine shots. I believe we have to wait for quite a while for ours. Our population is 39 million, so we have a lot more first responders and medical people.

Lee, we never heard anything from Kathie, so I think that we’re good.

STUFF IT SAN! I can see the small print just fine. After all that's the only way you post on here! I guess it goes with the territory.....Cold Showers....Small Print....etc, etc! Ha Ha.

Gave some Beef Stew & Noodles to the Covid Neighbor next door. Called to check on him and he said just ring the doorbell and set it down. He didn't want me to get the virus.

Delivered some more Beef Stew & Noodles to George & Marie....up 24 Mile Rd and some Homemade Rice Pudding that was actually still hot! Marie comes home tomorrow if the SNOW/ICE/RAIN doesn't get in here way.

Drove to Jill & Marks and delivered more RICE PUDDING to them. They though I was nuts for driving all that way with reports of snow coming. But they liked what I was bring them. Ha Ha.

Got off I-75 exit and it started to snow and by the time I was on the main street towards home it was really coming down. YIKES........did I time that right or what!!

Now I get to stay inside our nice cozy house for the next few days and look out at the snow, rain, Ice, etc.
I bet there was a run on Bread & Milk today at the stores. Ha Ha

KC: I hope you RE-Consider about the Covid Vaccine. It's a lot more important than any Flu-Shot. This VIRUS can F-ing KILL you if you get it. Don't be a hard-head now. Please!! :emoticon 0140 rofl:

BB: RUBIO is second to Trump in the A-Hole category.

Lee: If you go out to walk your PUPS be extra careful. Hope you know where your Yaks for your boots are kept!! Wear them!!

SAN: If you're leaving for McCloud any time soon I want to wish you and Nancy and Happy New Year!

RITA/NEGC: Same to you guys........if I miss saying it....safe trip and Happy New Year.

Out of here for now.

Hold your cards, we have a BINGO!
Congratulations BB on being able to get the Covid vaccine.

And congratulations to you too Lee on the Bill's win.

K2; I'm hoping that your luck is better than mine when I've gotten a toothache in recent years. For me, it always led to a root canal.

In my never to be humble opinion KC, if you get a chance to get the vaccine get it. I wouldn't be surprised that poof of getting it will be required for all kinds of travel in the near future, including cruising.

Safe and fun travels, San.

The weather forecast has been changed. A few days ago New Years Eve was suppose to be a snowy repeat of Christmas Eve. Now it's just suppose to be rainy.

Only thing I have to do today is pick of another bottle of a liquid medication for "Big Foot". It's for his occasional muscle spasms. At the Vets they bring it out and hand it to you through the car window. Hell, it's like a drug deal.
1f601.png
Especially since everyone is wearing a face covering.

Lee, we never heard anything from Kathie, so I think that we’re good
Um, I think that somebody pulled out the magnifier and we’re busted! We are being told that it could be late summer or fall before we get our turn with the vaccine. Safe travels Tony...
We have a little snow here too Kathie. It started coming down about 22:30. As I write this the snow turned in to rain. Sounds like a line from the Dan Fogelberg song “Old Lang Syne”. Good for you doing the meal run for friends and family. I bet they all appreciate it. Hows the tooth today?
Thanks for the reminder Dave. I have to go to the vet today for Bear’s pills and Katie’s gastro food. You call from the parking lot and they put it in the drop box for you to pick up. Everyone is masked of course. It looks like a wet New Years Eve here too. The only thing I can say about Buffalo for sure is they are headed to the playoffs.
I’m happy to hear your postal woes are falling, finally, in to place Karen. Your soup sounds like just the ticket for a rainy, snowy day. I will echo the other folks who hope you will reconsider the vaccine. You mean too much to all of us and others and we don’t want to see you get sick. I giggled at your observation of Fuzz Butt watching Dave and Kathi’s escapades before he decides to use the stairs.
Officials here are trying to decide if one shot of the vaccine will work Pat. They figure that way they can gI’ve more folks some protection faster. Problem is they still don’t seem to know if that will work or if we’ll need “booster” shots.
Holy cow! I was supposed to get somebody up by now. Better run.
If you’re out and about please be careful.

So I got thinking after I read Tony's note about the population of the state of California. What is the population of Canada?
Now, Canada is approximately 3855102 sq. miles in size. The US 3796742 sq miles or roughly
98.5% the size of Canada. According to your president that would make The US larger. But I digress.
Tony said, correctly, that California has a population of 39 million. Actually 39.7 million. Canada, the whole country, has a population of 37.7 million. It boggles my mind that there are 2 million MORE folks in California than all of Canada!!
And there is today's fun fact.

Wow...I was listed as the “FIRE FIGHTING TEAM “Leader” under my picture on here! For a person that hates the smell of backyard fires this might not be the best position for me on here! Hmmm...
I do like that Lee is the Dance Instructor! If he puts on his Charity Too Too, that we have all seen pictures of, I can see a lot of happy Grannies asking tombe in his class on the next cruise! Ha ha.

DAVE & SAN share ....Jr Purser assistant.
KC is also a DANCE Instructor with LEE
BB you currently are a ABLE SEAMAN !

Seems we only got about 1 inch of snow here in our area last night.
Our lawn man, Ed, must have thought it was enough for him to come over and shovel off. Unreal, I would have left it alone. Oh well, better ED than Kathie!

I get the pleasure of calling Apple Help and asking why Art’s e-mails are showing up on my phone! He’s not getting any e-mails right now. A message pops up about a incorrect password. I tried to put in every password he’s ever had and not working. Art said he was glad I was going to have to call Apple because he would never understand (or hear) everything they will make me do on this side over the phone! Joy, Joy. What I don’t do for this man!

Waiting for RAIN TO START around Noonish! Sure glad I have nowhere to go.

Have a safe fun day. Be back later.

Good luck with all the PUPS SUPPLY PICK UPs.

NOT LETTING ME POST this. DUH... ??? There we go....whew.
