Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good evening again!!

Rita, so glad to hear you & Bill have arrived in Florida safely....I think we all feel the same about our families...we are very lucky & blessed to have them!!

Kathie, sorry....can't tell the tale of the glass slipper...what happens in the castle...stays in the castle.....did you feel a bit like Mrs. Claus making your rounds delivering all the food? I'm sure it was much appreciated by all!

Dave, sorry to hear the bones were talking this morning...maybe it's time to get things checked out just in case?

Pat, I've been drooling over your turkey soup all afternoon....it was a perfect day for it, at least it was up here...grey...damp & cool for most of the day....enjoy your visit with Brian & Sara....I don't envy them spending that much to get into the park....and I'm sure that doesn't include any goodies the kids will just "have" to get...

Tony, safe travels back home....that cabin sure has been a great investment for A&A and all the family!

Lee, I appreciate you not looking for any more information on my NYE misadventures....but hey...2020 was a rough year...sometimes a girl just has to go out & kick up her heels a little bit....

Well....hopefully this time next week all the nonsense in Washington will be over with & we can look forward to a fresh start with our new president....I am worried about just how far t will go to keep from leaving the WH....sadly I don't think he is above calling for violence....
Did some more puttering in the garage today....sorting stuff that has been in a bin since April 2017....decided it was either time to put it in the house....or in the trash...and did some of each....
Tomorrow I go to Jane's to put her outside Christmas decorations away....and Tues. I have an appt. to take Ginger to the vet...she woke me up about 12 am Sat. morning making a noise that I thought sounded like she was licking herself...when I turned on the light I saw puddles of foamy white stuff on the floor...when I got her into the bathroom I saw she was foaming at the mouth...and the noise I was hearing was her tongue....like she had something in her mouth she was trying to get out....I felt around but didn't find anything...and a few minutes later she was ok...apparently the same thing had happened Tues. morning, cause I had seen streaks of the same kind of stuff all around the bedroom floor...I thought someone had thrown up...but didn't know which one....she has seemed fine yesterday & today...but I want to get her checked out just to make sure.....she's had all her shots....so I'm sure it wasn't rabies or anything like that...just really freaked me out...

On Interstate 5 about 100 miles north of Sacramento. We got a later start. A and A always make the cabin ready for their next trip North. It was again spotless!

I believe what Rita said about family is part of the glue that holds our group together.

Happy that Bill and Rita got to their happy place safely.

Darn Karen, I thought that once you left Southern Plumbing you would slow down on doing everything for family. Guess it’s all in your big heart.

It feels good to use everyone’s real name on here, not jus initials like before.
Hope you have a better night, Dave

Hope Ginger is OK Karen. Do you think it’s caused by something stuck down her Throat?

Angeline is helping with the driving. I will take back over when we get to Cordelia on I 80 for dinner.

She has her favorite station on XM on. Signing the words and Annelie singing along in the back seat. Kinda special to see and hear.

Tony, I don't think it's anything in her throat...she's eating, drinking & acting normal....I did a google search & one of the things I read is foaming at the mouth can be caused by a respiratory infection....and she did sound a little raspy at the time...but I'm also wondering if she got a hold of a leaf or a bug on the porch that would have been bitter tasting...I don't think it was anything toxic cause she bounced back so fast... I just want to cover my bases & get her checked out...and I did take ALL the plants off the back porch for just in case....
Sounds like a fun drive home...enjoy!

Rita....Thanks for your lovely post about how your family helped you and Bill make it to Florida. We’re all lucky to have family help whenwe really need it.
Enjoy your Winter vacation. Try sending a few pictures of your view of the water. I’m thinking if it’s like a lot of properties facing the water it’s a long stretch from the bldg to the waters edge. Be safe and keep in touch.

Karen: Hope all goes well at the Vet with Ginger. Scary to wake up to see her like that.

Tony: Thanks for the posts on the way back home.

Dr’s appts for both of us on Monday. Let’s hope this isn’t going to be a 2021 trend with us.

Dave....hope your old bones are doing better for you.

Hows about those Bills and Browns!

Sorry BB and K2. But hey, at least the Steelers get another shot at the Browns, maybe with Roethlisberger playing this time.

"Happy New Year to all from Sunny and warm Florida.........." And I'll give you 2 weeks Rita before you start wearing a jacket when it's 70 degrees, like the natives do.

Yes Lee, this past election just gets more bizarre by the day. And the Buffoon getting recorded trying to strong-arm a Georgia official into falsifying election returns is just the latest. Oh how I dream for an honest, boring, and competent President to be sworn in.

"I had a ONE GAL TALK SHOW". So this is the beginning of your new "podcast", K2? All celebrities seem to have one.

Sure hope that Ginger's foaming is just a fluke. But it's good that you're taking her to the Vet to be checked out.

By now, you have to be safe and sound and home, San.

ZIP again for any plans today. But at least it will be dry. (Wiping down dogs when they come back inside when it's snowing or raining is a pain.)

Quick GOOD MONDAY MORNING GANG!
You all have a fantastic day. As if that is anything exciting these days! Ha ha.

Cloudy, damp and 35F here right now!

Good morning to you all (or y'all if you speak southern. LOL)

Busy day around here for us today also. Now that all the decorations are down, it's time to vacuum and dust this place. I also want to make a pot of gravy for tomorrow. That means also cooking the sausage and meatballs. Plus we need to make a quick run to the store for a few things we need to finish up dinner.

Had a fright this morning. I got up to use the bathroom and when I decided to go back to bed for a bit longer, I couldn't catch my breath. I realized I wasn't getting any oxygen! I had to wake Bert up. Seems like the air hose had broken. He did a quickie repair with some duct tape and I was good again. Scary to have that happen.

Welcome home, Tony. Sounds like you all had a lot of fun over New Year's. That's great that Annelie was singing and signing. Kids pick up things so quickly. Nathan & Jennifer have been taking Spanish via virtual school. Jennifer loves, if she happens to be around anyone speaking Spanish to speak to them also in Spanish. It's still very basic Spanish, but they're off to a good start. Schools reopened here today also with a lot more being required to actually attend brick & mortar school due to not doing well working at home. Good luck to your crew as they too return to school.

Karen - I hope Ginger is ok and the trip to the vet is just to make sure. You don't ever slow down, do you? This is supposed to be your relaxing years! Slow down, girl!!!

Kathie - Good luck with all those doctor appointments you have today. Nothing like hitting the ground running to start off the new year.

Lee - So what's on tap for you and Lu-Ann today as you continue your house confinement and after the pups go for their morning walk?

Dave - I didn't see the game yesterday and just saw the score after the game was over. Packing away Christmas stuff took priority around here for a change.

Hard to believe someone in his position would resort to trying to get an official to "find" some votes for him, but lil t is just corrupt through and through. Inciting his followers is absolutely disgusting. Our neighbor across the street, a repub just put up security cameras all around he house. One is about 10 feet away from the house up on a 15 foot pole facing towards his driveway. Another is right next to the driveway and faces towards his front door. This guy no matter where he's going will tell you he's always "packing". How sick is that? Oh and his wife lives for faux news. Surprise, surprise!

Time to get to work. I've socialized long enough with you all for now. I'll be back later when I need a break. Ditto my usual message! :)

Good afternoon.
Tony, it seems that I too misread that you were home. Well, you are now so that’s all good.
Not much on (in?) my mind today.
We did go to a honey farm about a half hour away to pick up some raw honey. I hear it’s good for allergies.
You all be as good as you can. An wash your danged hands.

Lee, is there such a thing as cooked honey?

Pat, I too love watching how quickly young kids pick things up. Spanish would be something really useful for kids in California. Joseph has picked up Spanish from friends. His accent is the same as the rest of the family, but when speaking Spanish he changes to a Mexican accent. He calls it “Going all Ethnic”.

Got just about everything done that we wanted to today. Right now the meatballs and sausage are cooking away in a big pot of gravy and the smell is amazing. Smelling like this and tasting a delicious gravy, I know for sure I don't have COVID-19!!

All has been going too smoothly around here, so you knew something ha to give ... Bert noticed this afternoon that there was water under the washing machine! Wasn't sure where it was coming from, so he had me throw in another load. Lots more water. Now he's trying to troubleshoot what the problem might be. As Kathi says - It's always something!!

Lee - I love raw honey. I just had Bert pick up some honey with the honeycomb in it. That's great on a charcuterie board along with fig jam. He actually found it at Publix. Go figure!!

Tong - Back when I was teaching in Dunnellon we had a lot of Mexican students in our school. I had made a suggestion more than once that we had to start teaching Spanish right from kindergarten. Unfortunately at that time there were no workbooks or places you could use any kind of a program. You had an ESOL specialist working with those children to help them learn English, but there was no program that helped English language speakers learn Spanish without spending big bucks. It's basically the same way here, but there are a few people who are willing to help others for little or no cost.

Time to check on that pot of gravy. :)

Plugged drain or either of the water supply hoses. Hope it is the hoses, but it could be the pump underneath. Bert’ll figure it out though.

trump is scaring the hell out of me. Wednesday is going to be a bad day in the country. With the idiot egging on his followers to riot.

I would like to think that after January 20 Congress will come up with some way of stopping a future trump from destroying everything that the US stands for. But I think there are too many republicans that will stay with their current ways. I just hope that trump pays big time for what he has created. It’s looking more and more like trump is mirroring the way Putin runs Russia.

Nice chatter on here today..Monday. WELL NOT ANYMORE. It’s Tuesday.

Got a GOOD REPORT CARD from the Nuero-Doctor. I drove 50 mims to get to the West side of town and had my temp taken at the door, sat down in the room and got my blood pressure taken and the waited about 6 mins for the Doc to come into the room. Nice looking guy, soft spoken. He looked at the MRA on a screen and turned around and said “You have NOTHING to worry about”! Said a few more things and that was it. All of 5 mins. This should have been a ZOOM medical CALL . The nice doctor said no need tomcome back for 2 YEARS unless I have issues. Ha ha....my big issue would be to still be ALIVE in 2 years. Ha ha.

Art‘s aneurism of his eye did not get better since the last shot. It got a tad worse. His lovely female doctor started a different type of shot today. He said it was like having someone throw a handful of Glitter into the eye. It didn’t hurt because the numb the eye first. It was just all this GLITTER type stuff moving around that he said was crazy. Next thing for Art is a visit to the Dentist this Wednesday then the Podiatrist next week and then the following week the Cataract surgery.
So he’s got me beat so far......but whose counting! H ha. THAT’S IT FOR OUR HEALTH ISSUES.

Karen: How did Ginger do?
Pat: I am going to be making a big pot of Spaghetti sauce today. (Tues) Making to freeze!

Lee: How lucky to have a honey farm close by. I watched a show about Honey Bees and how they all get around the Queen Bee and fan their wimgs really fast to create enough heat to keep her and then Honey Hives up to a certain temp. The honey farmer has to keep track of the heat temp and VENT the Hives so not too much humidity builds up. It was really interesting.
If I find the video again I’ll make sure to pass it on to you.

Tony: Sorry to say, but if the T-man was mirroring Putin that poor Sec of State from Georgia would be with Jimmy Hoffa by now after that “ Perfect phone call”!

Okay, it’s late and my tooth is telling me it wants a Tylenol before I call it a night. Amazing how you can get use to distant pain .

Later gamg.

Dentist-Day for the 2 young ladies in the house. Kathi and our 4 legged daughter. But Fuzzbutt will have a more pleasant time since she'll be asleep during her tooth cleaning.

Since they are both scheduled around 8:30 this morning Kathi will be dropping off Fuzzbutt at the Vet's on her way to her dentist.

So tell me Lee; Is a "honey farm" where our spouses get their Honey-Do lists? Although I like honey, I can't remember the last time I ever had some.

You mentioned that your oxygen hose got a leak in it early Monday morning, BB. Do you solely use that oxygen generating machine or do you keep around a tank, just in case? And lucky you, getting a water leak under the washing machine. Hope the fix is/was simple.

Other than a poop-patrol in the back yard, I've got no other gotta-do projects for the day.

Mid 30's,calm, and dry for the rest of the week. Some neighbors are still lighting up their outdoor Christmas light.

I'm sure that there is sun somewhere! Sure as heck it's not here. We're bouncing right around the 32F mark as we have been for a couple of days. Very foggy this morning. Best part is hearing the fog horns from the freighters.
is there such a thing as cooked honey?
Yep. Only if we don't get our "honey do" list completed Tony. Did you know that honey is the one thing that NEVER goes bad? I bet Benjamin does! ;) There is raw honey and if you pick the jar up and move it from left to right in front of your face it becomes "past your eyes". (Pasturized for those who weren't following along) Yes, one can only hope that things are put in place to deal with future t's. It's going to be a rough couple of days politically in the US.
You've had your fair share of leaks and the such over the past couple of days Pat. I hope that the washer fix was as easy as the oxygen line! The honey place is one of the largest honey producers in the province of Ontario! They have all kinds of honey. Including containers of comb honey. The lady suggested raw because we had heard that local honey is good to help with allergies. Comb would be great on a charcuterie board! While at Public Heath Lu-Ann was involved in the ESL program to explain the health care that was available to families who's first language was not English. As you said, big bucks for us to learn a second language but we teach new Canadians English for free.
I hope that all is well with Ginger Karen! I promise not to share that police report. With ANYBODY.
Kathie, I'm so sorry that your tooth is still acting up. You are right. There is a case where a zoom call with the doctor would have benefitted everyone. You'd save time and gas and he'd still get paid! Here in Canada we call stuff that makes you see lots of glitter "marijuana". All kidding aside I hope that it's nothing that a change in Art's meds won't take care of.
Hopefully both ladies will do OK at their respective dental appointments today Dave. I keep meaning to tell you that the folks who moved in two doors down have two long haired wiener dogs. They were so glad when we got the fence done for them because they could let them out to roam without being on lead.

Is a "honey farm" where our spouses get their Honey-Do lists?
Um, Dave, a "honey farm" code for a brothel! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: At least that's what I've heard them referred to in the state of Nevada. I suppose they have lists there too so that you can decide what you'd like your "honey" to do.
I should be off.
All of you fine folks have a great day!

Time for a quick post only this morning. Brian & Sara will be here shortly and I have to get lunch ready for them. I may or may not make it back today. If I don't, I'll see you tomorrow. Have a wonderful and safe day no matter what you're doing today. :)

Good afternoon...it's still morning...but barely & I know I won't get this finished before the clock strikes 12....

Pat, enjoy the visit with Brian & Sara....did Bert figure out what was causing the water leak on the washer?

Lee, aren't you quite the pun master this morning...:D sorry about your gloomy skies...it's a bit nippy here, but bright & sunny!

Kathie, hope the new med's do the trick on Art's eye...your year is not getting off to a very good start medically speaking...did Ashley have any luck with the job search? I believe you mentioned she had an interview with the firm she was going to intern with?

Tony, I think you are right....so many of the senators going along with t are only doing so thinking they can tap into his "base" of supporters....I would love to see the FBI or the US marshals waiting on him to come out of the white house & slap the cuffs on him....wishfull thinking I'm sure...he has gotten away with so much crap all his life I doubt it will change now...

Dave, are you feeling any better with the aches & pains yet? Hope the ladies do well with their dentist visits....

Not much going on around here...I will need to leave about 2:45 to take Ginger to the vet...it's clear on the other side of town...and I'm sure she will not be a happy traveler....
Got Jane's outside decorations down yesterday & then she trimmed my hair for me...tomorrow I go to Barb's to take her lights down...that won't take long at all...back later with a Vet update....so far she has been fine, so I doubt they will be able to tell me anything today....oh well...ka-ching ka-ching....
