That’s pretty much how I feel some days Kathie!
A very good morning to you all. Not much new at this time in the morning. There could be a couple of showers in the forecast for today. Better than
snow. I thought I’d whisper that four letter word.
We'll try to check in when we get home from MI.
Time to take Ava for an early walk.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Wednesday morning all you cute little furry creatures!

A beautiful sunny day here yesterday, and for this area, nicely warm with the temperature right around 60. It made you smile just looking out a window.

Normally Kathi never has a problem printing labels or buying stamps through the USPS website, right here at home. She's getting a refund for the package label that did not print, but still charged her postage.

K2, you're the most baking person I know. You must love it. Great cartoon.

I too BB have never been given the choice of what kind of music I hear when on hold. I don't know what type Kathi picked. "Shopping like a man" sure speeds things up, doesn't it? Less chance to spot something else to buy.

Have a safe trip to Michigan, Lee. Fingers crossed for your bride.

At the moment, nothing planned for today. But hoping it's the day the Buffoon gets indicted. So I can party like KC.

Good morning. The temps today will be in the 80's, nice. Only think planned for today is PT this afternoon. I will tell her she can't be pressing so hard when she does the manipulation.

All have a great day.

Good Mid-Morning Wrabbits!
I think it's time for us to do a SPRING CLEANING of the HUTCH! Too many "dust-bunnies" floating around the place lately. Negcs are is the cause of it all since he's been gone on vacation the longest. So lets do our best to SHINE the place up a tad! Thanks.

LEE: Safe travels and sure hope that the program is one that Lu-Ann wants and can get into. I give her all the credit in the world for researching opportunities like this.

Dave: Good to hear that your Bride Kathi got her refund. They wasn't a doubt in my mind that she would! My kind of woman.

And YES, I do like to bake. As soon as it gets warmer and I can get outside I do a lot less baking.

I managed to get a appointment with the Orthopedic doctor for next Tuesday and it's at a new office that is only about 10 mins from our house. Yippee. The other one is like 40 mins away and there's always so much traffic getting there. I'm hoping he will be able to give my LOVELY KNEES the injections he did last year. I was good for a whole year and just don't want to take the time to get knee surgery right now. Hopefully the insurance will approve the injections like they did last time. We'll see what the good doctor has to say! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: Depends on if his Yacht has a payment coming up if he just does the injections or wants to do the knee replacement. Ha Ha. Well, I'm not ready for the knee replacement just yet.

BB: How is the SALE of the Spool House going? Any traffic in and out? Do they do OPEN HOUSES in that area? Hope you get another nice quiet couple, but with all that PARTY stuff you could be in for a lot of music and singing going on!

Karen: Hope you got a little rest yesterday. Do you look up at your new roof and LIKE IT? We need a picture!

Nancy: Good luck with the
therapy today.

I'm out of here for now.

DENTAL CLEANING for both of us today at 2:00 pm.

I need to get over to Costco this morning and cash the REWARDS check before I loose it.

Happy Hump Day, everyone!

Looks like lots of appointments scheduled for today, so I guess I'll join in. I have an appointment with my pulmonologist as a follow up from my short stay in the hospital. I'll be glad to see him because I still have a bit of a cough and have mucus at times. I know part of it is due to allergies, but it concerns me that it's hanging around this long. I need a good dose of meds to knock it out for good.

Lee - Good luck to Lu-Ann that she gets accepted into this study. Safe travels getting there and back.
That team of engineers that was needed yesterday were already scheduled to do some repairs on the dam, but in April. Now it's getting done that much sooner. The lake actually dropped about 2-2 1/2 feet. Looks strange to see the boats so much lower than the docks.

Dave - Glad Kathi set the post office straight and got to listen to her type of music. That's a win/win in my book. By the way - Shopping like a man is downright BORING! I like to see what's out there and available. You never know when you might hit on something really good.

Kathie - Good luck with your doctor visit today. Hopefully, he'll give you the shot to make your knee feel better. Just how long are you planning to put off this knee surgery?

Karen - Glad you and your friend had a nice visit. You don't realize how tiring it can be to have company at times.

Nancy - Good luck with your PT today.

Bill - Us Florida Belles have ordered this perfect weather for you as our fond goodbye to all snowbirds for this year. Hopefully, a bit of heat will tag along with you, so it won't be so cold when you get home. But please do not take all of our heat. We had enough cold weather this past week!

Almost time to get my butt in gear to head off to the doctor's office. We have to allow at least an hour to get there even though it's less than 20 miles away!

have a good one, everyone!

Hope to take some of this warmth back up north when we leave here BB, but will try to leave some of it behind so that you thin-blooded rebels don't freeze.
I think that the companies that play music on your phone while you are on hold, deliberately pick the most annoying music that they can find in the hope that you will hang up before they have to hear or do anything to resolve your issue.
My regular complaint about TV programming. Last night all of the FBI programs on CBS were repeats. Made for an early bedtime so I guess that was a good thing.
Have to make one more trip to Walgreen's today to refill three prescriptions before we head home. Next year I will definitely be looking to find another pharmacy.

We have booked a Celebrity cruise for October, 2024. It is a 10 night repositioning cruise from Boston to Ft.Lauderdale that stops in Bermuda, Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire on Celebrity Eclipse. It is on Celebrity Eclipse, so, Nancy, we may be asking you for any thoughts or insights about the ship.

Just checkin’ back in. There was nobody crossing in to The US and nobody crossing back in to Canada.
It was a thorough visit to Quest Research culminating in good news / bad news. The news being that Lu-Ann is too healthy for their clinical trial. The nurse practitioner was all apologizing because we had come so far. We weren’t even an hour! I told her we were “old so it was like a day out”. We all had a chuckle.
Before we came home we stopped at Panera Bread for lunch.
How did everyone else’s appointments go today?
We’ll see you all in the morning.

Negc: Did you talk to your Pharmacy and ask if they would be able to give you 3 month supply or even more since you're going on vacation? Hopefully, your doctor writes out prescriptions for 90 day supplies and not just 30.

BB:
Today was DENTIST for both Art and myself. Knee doctor is next week! :);)

Both of us got teeth cleaned. That was a good thing.

As the (wife) Hygienist was cleaning my teeth I mentioned to be careful in the one area. Of course, just as she was poking around the filling pops out! JOY, JOY. It's a tooth that was filled decades ago and we had been watching it, but I just didn't want any grief with it at this time. WRONG. I get to go back tomorrow 8:45 a.m to get something done. Most likely a prep for a crown. That would be the EASY FIX.
Art gets to come along and have the dear dentist work on one of his teeth. Then he has a appt with the specialist to have a nerve KILLED (the dentists terminology was much better).
I get the feeling we're paying for the repair work on their Florida home after the hurricane blasted it. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: They're going back down for another 10 days starting next Wednesday. Sure, they can afford to go down again since we're having so much work done! Ha Ha.
ALWAYS Something!

PAT: Any takers on the house next door that is For Sale?

Lee: Hope you were able to get to Farmington Hills and back into Canada without too much traffic or delays at the border.
Just saw your post LEE. Bummer in one way, but good to know Lu-Ann is too Healthy for the study group. Glad the border was a easy cross.

Out of here for now. I'm mentally exhausted.

Good evening. Well Pt today was good. I told her about the pain I had last week from the manipulation so she decided to not do any today and wait a couple of weeks, so I was out of there in less than 30 minutes.

Lee, yes that was good news/ bad news. But getting that good news has to feel good.

All have a good night.

A warm, for here at 61F, but foggy start to the day. But Ava and I headed off on our walk. No armadillos here but we did see three large rabbits and a cute little black “kitty” with a white strip down it’s back.
Kathie, I would ask for an engraved brick on the pathway to your dentist’s FL home. You know. The kind that refer to your “donation” towards his vacation home.
So many PD, as well as other clinical trials, never get off the ground because they can’t get enough “subjects” that fit their criteria Nancy.
I think you’re right about phone music Bill.
Almost time for coffee.
You all be good today!

I just do not understand the appeal of living in California. Almost every day there's some news story about floods, fires, drought, mudslides, and homes ruined. Although I understand that recently more people were moving out of California than in.

Well, that blows Lee that Lu-Ann got turned down for a PD clinical trial because she's too healthy. To me, it's the perfect time to have her in a trial.

I was going to ask you how your and Art's dental exams went. The usual; Them grabbing for your wallets. I see that you are still delaying getting surgery done on your "LOVELY KNEES". They aren't going to fix themselves, young lady.

BB; I hope your pulmonologist can clear up that coughing & mucus buildup for you. Does he still have you on breathing exercises?

Gee Bill, we're just in the beginning of 2023 and you're already booking a cruise in the fall of 2024.

The only cruising Kathi and I are doing is cruising down to the grocery store this morning.

Good morning. no plans for me today. Just trying to figure how to fix a leftover steak for dinner. Last night I fixed a box of quinoa and did not really like it, it was so dry.

All have a great day.

Good morning, everyone! Another beautiful day here.

We were originally planning a trip to Sea World today, but I goofed and took a water pill this morning. Bad move! I keep running to the bathroom. That would be no fun at Sea World. I think Bert's mad at me as he wanted to go today to use up more of out Seven Seas food samplings. This runs through the beginning of May, so it's no big deal.

Lee - So sorry to hear that Lu-Ann was turned down for that research program. They have such a fine line when picking those qualified to take part.

Dave - So how did the shopping trip go? Find any special new goodies?
My visit to the pulmonologist was ok, but the gal at the front desk really screwed up. She never put my file into the place for patients in the order they came in. We sat there watching one person after another being called and we sat. Finally Bert went up to the desk and that's when the gal realized she hadn't put the file in place. We had been there for an hour!!! Needless to say, we were next and I got to see the doctor quickly. He wasn't concerned about the cough & mucus as long as it didn't have blood in it. He wants me to have another CT scan the end of next month so he can do a comparison with the last one. I;'ll see him again on my birthday, so I told him I expect a birthday cake! :emoticon 0136 giggle:

Nancy - When we have leftover steak, I slice it very thin and quick heat it in melted butter. We then have it on a sandwich. It's very tasty.

Now thaT we're not going out for the day, I have to find something easy to make for dinner. Too late to defrost anything, so we may go with snow crab and a salad.

Lee, you understandably have mixed feelings about the diagnosis you and LuAnn received but in a way it may be better than them telling you that her health is so bad that they want to start her on the trial immediately.
It is only one of my prescriptions that the doctor has written for 30 instead of 90 days and I will speak to him about it when we get home and I see him next month.
Couldn't resist the cruise in 2024, Dave, even knowing how far away it is. It sails from Boston, goes to four ports which we especially like, and ends up in Florida so only one flight is involved and knowing how popular past repositioning cruises out of Boston have been, I suspect that the price for this one will only go higher and will likely sell out quickly.
We are taking our next door neighbor out to dinner tonight to show our appreciation for all that she has done for us while we have been here. She is originally from Cape Cod and worked at a restaurant near our home though we didn't know her then.

Hoping that writing in GREEN will help our SPARTANS PULL OUT A WIN. :clap002:
We had a early morning Dental appt. Yes, 2 days in row.
I think a KEY to the dentists florida home would be better than a Brick. Ha ha.
I got a temp crown put n and Art got a nerve worked on. Still have more in a few weeks! Joy, joy!
Then we went to breakfast at the Pancake Pantry. Back home to make a chicken soup for our dinner later.
Then off to the HEARING APPT for Art. He hd a hearing teat and the man is REALLY DEAF. I feel badly for him. Ordered new hearing aids that will help a “ LITTLE “. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:
I’m tired from running in circles on the freeway and neighborhood streets Today.

Back to the game. NECK TO NECK! :cheerleader:

Good evening. Has the steak and herb rice and peas for dinner. it was good.

Pat fixing the steak that way sounds good but I don't keep bread in the house.

My right shoulder and upper arm are hurting so in a bit will have Bruce rub some gel on for me.

All have a good night.

Good thing my cardiologist's office called yesterday to remind me that I have an appointment this morning, because I totally forgot about it and it wasn't put on our calendar. OOPS.

Oh BB, I'd bet that Sea World has LOTS of bathrooms.
1f601.png

As for yesterday's grocery shopping; Kathi got some lemon flavored Kit Kat bars. Yummy! I grabbed a can of Hormel Chili. I think it was you K2 that recommended that brand. I'll give it a try sometime in the next week. Sorry to see the Spartans lose in overtime. You just weren't yelling loud enough.

On our way back from the doctors we're stopping for some Eggs Benedict. We got hooked on it while on cruises. Problem around here is, fewer and fewer restaurants serve it.
