Good morning. Well it was not a good night of sleeping and my back is hurting a lot so today I won't be doing much. Yesterday I helped Bruce with moving plants in the trailer out front so he could clean out all the leaves, so I got rid of a bunch of temporary pots and some other things. And since the temp was 90 it was more than I could handle.

I see that the Carnival Freedom is in Grand Turk and one of it's funnels has a big fire. And from the photos they were not making people get off.

All have a great day.

Good afternoon, gang! Things have been pretty busy here these past few days, so please forgive me for not posting more often. Now today I have to go to the wound care doctor in advance of going to the vascular doctor tomorrow. Fun, fun, fun!!

Our hearts have been broken over what happened in Texas the other day. Years ago, we stayed in in that town on one of our trips to Texas and before we crossed into Mexico. The people were so friendly. This incident was just so horrific and unfortunately, happening much too often.

Nancy - I can't even remember when I last had a good night's sleep. I so hope tomorrow will change that. I keep having nightmares and really weird dreams. Poor Bert gets wakened multiple times during the night.

Lee - Sorry the rains came to spoil your outing yesterday. I hate when that happens. It's been so dry here and we really do need some rain.

Bill - Sorry for the not so good cribbage night. How often do you play?

Dave - You have to get a permit here too to put up a fence. The rule here is it you are doing something inside the house, unless it's major structural/ plumbing/electrical you don't need a permit, but if it's anything outside, you need a permit.

Kathie - You really made me laugh the other day when you suggested we should get an adjustable bed. Unless you're buying, that ain't going to happen. They are too d*mn expensive, as great as they are.

I just noticed the time. No wonder my belly is talking to me. Time to feed the inner me. Bert's complaining that I lost a few pounds. I think he's jealous that I can lose weight but he can't. I probably won't be back for today. After the doctor visit, we'll have about 10 people here for a small graduation party for Elaine's son who graduation high school today.

So until I wander pack in here, be good!

That certainly is an attractive chicken house. More attractive than some human habitats that I have seen. If contented cows are responsible for great milk, the eggs that the chickens who live in that house must be fantastic.
Cribbage league meets every Tuesday for 16 weeks, with the week of July 4th off, so our last night of cribbage will be August 30th.
One more win is all that the Celtics will need in order to advance to the Championship series, where the Golden State Warriors are the most likely opponent.
Unlike some of you, I think we are getting too much sleep and it seems we are getting up later almost every day despite going to be at approximately the same time every night. Probably not a restful sleep though as I frequently feel more ready to go back to bed once I am up than I feel at night at bedtime.
I really get upset at those who oppose reasonable gun regulations by saying that no matter how someone secures their weapons, criminals will get access to them. Seems that they have so much more faith in the abilities of criminals that they believe we should just give up and accept it. If that is the case there is no reason to have any laws about anything.
Sunny but with a cool breeze today. Hard to believe it was in the 90s only a few days ago.

Hi ya all!
It wants to rain, but the sun is out right now. MUGGY as all get out.

We have been busy today.
I went and got the last of the flowers I needed to plant on the side of the garage area.
Put in a load of laundry, got it dried and folded in between making lunch ( I usually never make lunch. Ha ha.

Then we got down to the business of hanging the new dining room chandelier. Lordy what a job! Thank goodness Art is a patient Electrician. And his HELPER (me) actually was able to be useful!

Good evening. Well at one time today, when Bruce was coming back to the front yard his right arm caught something on the gate and he started bleeding bad. I bandaged him up and he rested for a bit. then he went back to working and after a bit it was bleeding again bad. but with what he was doing he just took a semi clean rag and wrapped it around his arm. We got the tree straight and he finally came in and I redid his arm this time with 3 gauze pads and clothe tape and so far no more bleeding. He was supposed to do a job tomorrow but since it is a lot of gardening work he is not going so now will do next week.

All have a good night.

Nancy I feel so bad for Bruce. He has to be extra careful when take the blood thinner meds. Hope all is still good.

MAMA BUNNY…wishing you all kinds of good luck tomorrow with the stents! PLEASE promise to come home and REST. Stay out of the kitchen. And God forbid your don’t feel right hi you the ER ASAP. Hugs from all of us!

Lee: Hope that Lu-Ann had a fantastic Birthday! Love the pictures.

That light fixture was a major pain in the Butt to hang. Sure tested my heart meds at one point.

Suppose to rain (90%) tomorrow. Bummer.

Good Friday morning Bunnies!

I sometimes have the memory of a gnat, so bear with me BB. I have it stuck in my head that this is the day that you are having some stents put in your leg. Am I close? If so, how'd it go?

I'm on blood thinners too, Nancy. So I'm guessing that a lot of Bruce's bleeding was due to that. There's a running joke here that "no job is complete until the bleeding starts".

Art's braver than me, K2. Ain't no damn way I'm getting up on that aluminum and wooden pyramid. But thanks for the pictures.

And thank you too Lee, for your posies picture. I thought of you yesterday after we got back from the grocery store. I went off the grocery list and got a box of frozen, precooked, boneless hot-wings. (Just reheat them in the microwave or oven.) Thought I'd give them a try.

I was surprised when I was opening the box to find out they were made in Canada. I'll be honest, only rarely do I see things marked as "made in Canada". Usually they just say "China". Since you guys are one of the biggest trading partners of the U.S., what is your country's biggest exports?

Oh yea, the hot-wings were real good. And I'm picky about my hot wings. Most suck. The brand name was "Yummy".

Jack didn't have a good day yesterday after he got multiple vaccine puppy shots. Once home he was having a negative reaction. Crying, yelping, and just in pain. So back to the Vet he went where he was given a pain shot and an injection of Benadryl. Within a short while, he was OK.

Since he's so small he can be prone to accidental overdoses of medications. Speaking of size, he was only 3 pounds when we got him, he's double that now.

Wish I could get away with that kind of weight gain.

Time for a very quick good morning as we head out the door for the doctor's office. Just barely getting light here! I'll try to stop back later to give you a full report! ;)

Pat, sending good thoughts on your stent procedure, hopefully this will help a lot in the pain & healing problems with your legs!

Dave, Poor Jack ...glad he is feeling all better now...and hopefully won't have to make any more trips to the vet for a while...

Kathie, that is a fine looking light fixture...but no way in heck would I be up up a ladder that high trying to balance & install that thing!! I can only imagine how much $$$$ it would cost if you had to hire someone to do that...

Lee, sorry you missed out on cupcakes the other day...hopefully you made up for it with Birthday cake yesterday....nice posey pics too!!

Nancy, good idea for Bruce to hold off on any more landscaping projects for a while...

Bill, nice of the lawn crew to start in another area of the complex this week & give you a break....I can relate to being more tired when I get up than when I went to bed....Scooter is just getting so she cries & fusses more & more at night...I love her to bits, but I need some uninterrupted sleep!!

Got some pool time in the last couple days, the water is finally warm enough to be really comfortable....

Got some bad news from my brother in West Palm the other day..his wife has been in the hospital since Sat. and they just found out she has Liver cancer...this is the lady who has cerebral palsy & has been in a wheelchair for the last 30 yrs or so....she's also had another liver disease caused by some of the medicine she's had to take over the years....they haven't determined what stage she has or if it's spread....so they are trying to remain optimistic...
Out of here for now...want to get a few things done outside before it gets steaming hot...

All the best today PAT! Hope it went well for you.

Dave: Poor JACK having a reaction to his shots. Bummer. Glad he has good people to take him right back to get some help.
By the way Chicken Wings use to be considered cheap eating back in the day. They were NEVER the KING of PARTIES. Who would even think of serving Chicken Wings back in the day. Now-a-days, around here anyways, Chicken Wings cost more than ground sirloin. :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

OKAY.... the sky just opened up and we're in FULL RAIN MOOD. This is supposed to last all day on and off. MOSTLY ON!

I'm off of this thing until the weather lets up a tad.

Be safe and pray for Uvalle and especially those 4 kids that not only lost their mother while she was in the classroom, but also their father from a grief related heart attack. 2 dead parents because we can't pass assault gun control laws. How did the USA get so wrong so fast? Sick country we live in.

Later gang.

Karen: So sorry about your SIL. How sad that she has been through so much and now this. Feel bad for your brother too. Not easy for the caregiver to have this added to his already full plate. Prayers she can be helped.

I hope that Scooters crying is just wanting attention and that it's not pain related. Hope you can catch a Nap this afternoon. If you were here in our area it's a perfect day to crawl up on the couch or bed and start to read a book and fall asleep. I wish I could do that. But I can never fall asleep during the day. Hate that.

Speaking of KITTY's. We think the neighborhood BIG CAT got into a few garbage bags up and down the street last night. Art had to RE-BAG our trash after he saw it was all over the lower driveway. We usually don't put out our trash until the morning, but Art wanted to avoid getting wet from the predicted rain! So much for that idea.

Thanks for liking the new light fixture. It's not a high as it looks. We just needed to put all those ladders and a board across them to hold the WEIGHT of the fixture while Art wired the guts of it in the box up in the beam. If it were a regular ceiling he could have done it from the attic and it would have been a breeze job. But the original electricians did a different approach when the house was built on installing a outlet in the beam.
I must say I do like the fixture " I " chose for the room. Nice and updated compared to the Brass 12 lite chandelier. Three decades back I liked the shiny Brass.... not anymore.

Take care folks. Be back later.

Good morning. Well the third bandage was the charm as Bruce had no more bleeding, so will change the bandage in a bit. Supposed to rain this afternoon, but will see.

Last night I fixed Goulash for dinner, now if only I can figure how to make less, as we have enough leftovers for probably 3 meals.

Pat hope all goes/went well with the stints.

Karen, sorry about your SIL, hope it has not reached a high stage and the Dr's can help her.

All have a great day.

Talked with my brother & Sil...it is stage 4...they think it started in her colon & then spread to her liver....the are trying to schedule a PET scan to see if it's anywhere else in her body...but they are running into problems as she is not mobile and cannot help move herself at all...and the tests & treatments will be done on an outpatient basis...which means they will have to pay for medical transport from their house to the test/treatment site every time she has an appt.
I never realized how difficult & challenging it is for a person with a disability to receive even the most basic medical care...

Karen........so sorry to hear that stage of your SIL cancer. And I wonder if there is a local group or association that could step in and do the transporting at No Charge to her. There's a name for them, but I can't think of it now. Maybe their local Kiwanis Club or Chamber of Commerce could give them names of societies that help with medical transportation. Prayers to all.

Wakey, Wakey, Bunnies! It's a weekend. Which to us is just like all other days of the week.

Talk about bad timing.... In the mail yesterday was a 4 page flier, with pictures and sale prices just like the grocery stores do. Except it was for a local gun store. Hey, save $100 on an assault rifle.

But I'm going to give the owner of the gun store the benefit of the doubt. The scheduling of this sale and the printing of the fliers and the dropping of them off at the post office probably took place prior to the Texas gun massacre. But damn, it sure was bad timing to be sending them to people now.

So sad to hear about your sister-in-law's condition, KC. They might want to call Hospice about their thoughts on transportation. They deal with serious cases daily.

Needing an update on your Stent/s, BB. When I had mine done they went in through a large artery, so I had to lay for hours and hours in a hospital bed so that the incision sealed up enough so I could go vertical.

Happy that you like your new light, K2. After all the messing around to get it installed it would have been a bummer if you looked up at it and didn't really like it.

We had talked about all the different flavors of breakfast cereals and ice creams, now they are messing with Hershey Kisses. A friend of Kathi's gave her 3 Hershey Kisses and said, "You've got to try these.".

So Kathi brought them home not knowing what's different about these Kisses. I took the tin foil off of one of them and it was white. So I figured that it was just a white chocolate Kiss. Then I took a bite. Nope, not white chocolate.

I could feel and taste a different taste and texture. Tasted a bit like a cookie. Plus it also was pinkish on the inside. What the heck flavor is this??? Then I looked closely at the tin foil. On it was the picture of an ice cream cone. A waffle cone. That explained the flavor of a cookie, but not the flavor of the candy. It was good, but Kathi couldn't figure it out either.

But after rooting around on the internet, Kathi found these things on Amazon. It's a strawberry flavored ice cream cone Hershey Kiss.

Try some, I think you'll like them.

Make the most of today........tomorrow is not promised!
(I think I remember reading this at some time in my life) So true.

I have NOTHING for you Wrabbits this morning.

I talked to my dear friend Elaine yesterday. She gained 6 pounds. FANTASTIC. I suggested to her daughter to ask the doctors about giving her an Appetite enhancement med. Stacey asked about it and they gave her something and she is like the OLD ELAINE I knew before she got sick. The change in her voice, attitude and of course the fact she is eating more is fantastic.
She gets to go home on Wed. And yes, poor Stacey has to fly from California again. :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:
Last week she flew from Cali to Naples, FL and BACK in one day. Some type of
mandatory business meeting. CRAZY if you ask me.

Pat's daughter, Missy, posted on her Fbook that Pat was home. I'll leave it at that. Don't want to get into trouble for posting without total permission. Hope she is RESTING and NOT COOKING. :chef:

Have a safe day. It's nice outside here. Sunny and 65F right now and climbing. Next week we will be in the 90's. Lord help me then! Ha Ha. I'm a big fan of 74 degrees and sunny and no humidity. Fat chance I'll find that in PURE MICHIGAN.

Later.

Good morning, bunnies, I may as well start off with the good news part of my experience Right? So the good news first is that I'm home and still kicking. The bad news is that they weren't able to do the stents yesterday after all. Seems like all the arteries in my pelvis are also filled up with junk and that's the way they need to get in to the leg arteries. I didn't find this out until 2 hours later after them spending the time taking pictures inside my leg. Then to add insult to injury, I had to be in the recovery room for 2 1/2 hours before I could
go home.
While I was in recovery, the doctor was busy figuring out how to proceed now. Bottom line is that now I have to be at the hospital 6:30 AM. They will actually do 2 procedures - Clean out the pelvic arteries and then put stents into BOTH legs as needed!! I have no idea how long this will all take, but do know I will b in the hospital for 3-4 days. So now you all know as much as I do !!

Karen - So sorry to hear about your SIL and her battle with the big C. I hope hospice is able to make her comfortable at least.

Karen - You need to find out the name of that appetite med thatyour friend Elaine is on. I could use something like that as I have no appetite these days,

I'm going to get off here for now as my fingers are not typing what I want typed and I have to keep going back correcting typos. I guess I';m still pretty tired as I didn't sleep rll again last night. Now go play nice and behave.

PAT: Good to hear from you and thanks for the UPDATE! Wow. Lots going on!
And be REAL HAPPY that they kept you for 2.5 hrs in the recovery room. Last thing you need is to POP a CLOT girl! I'm so glad to hear that they will be keeping you for 3-4 days after your procedure. It's important and we all know you will be an EXEMPLARY patient. :)
What day do you have this done?

Off to plant some of those plants I bought the other day.
