Dribble of rain on and off here. Suppose to get better each day from today on through next week. I'll believe it when I see it happen.

Had our friends, Marie & George, stop by this morning. Marie wanted to see the dining room paint job. Today is their a Patron Saint Day and they were coming back from morning church services. Nice to chat with them.

Now I need to pay some bills and then go GROCERY shopping.

Dave, bummer that the ICE CREAM you wanted was gone. Hopefully they will get another supply in for you.

Nancy, good that your hands felt a tad bit better today. Careful on mixing all those sleeping pills. I can see why you slept so well!

Pat: The one nice thing about your GANG living with you is that they CLEAN OUT the refrigerator really well. You might want to put a "TIP JAR" in there to help with the grocery bills.

Hope the rest of you Wrabbits are doing okay.

Later.

Good afternoon...it's HOT..HOT...HOT here!!

Pat, hopefully they can get the circulation improved for your legs & the toe & leg will start healing....I think the next batch of "renters" you get need to buy groceries while they live there...with teenage boys I can well imagine how expensive feeding them is!

Dave, were you able to get a rain check for the ice cream? It's a bummer when you get your mouth all set for something & then t doesn't happen...

Kathie, we are still eagerly awaiting a pic of the new dining room paint color...hint...hint...

Lee, hope the eye is feeling better today....and even more so I hope you are at the end of medical procedures for a good long while!!

Nancy, that was quite a sleep concoction you took last night...glad they helped though...

4-1/2 more days to go on the eye drops for me...I will be so glad to be done with that!!! Putting them in isn't a problem...but the antibiotic drop burns like crazy when it goes in...

Well the never ending bathroom remodel continues....I went down to paint the 2 walls & the closet and when Barb was on break she came in to look at it...she likes the color...but has now decided that we should have replaced the panels that are one the wall above the beadboard....probably 10-15 yrs ago we had done a make over on Barb's bath to add the bead board wainscotting...my dad had taken 2 4x8 sheets of paneling & ran them length wise on the wall above....we covered the paneling with paintable wall paper....well...over time the wall paper had gotten wet, torn and other wise in not so nice looking condition.I had suggested to Barb when we started this project that maybe she should have the top of the wall over the bead board replaced too...but she thought it would be ok once it was cleaned up & painted....today after I had already done a primer coat on all of it...and was doing the trim out at the ceiling she decided that it didn't look that good after all & she would regret not fixing those walls after the rest of the bathroom is done & looks so good...I don't disagree with that decision...I just wish to heck she would have made it before I made 2 trips down to her place to paint & spent all the time painting...so...off to Lowes I went to pick up 2 sheets of dry wall....Wes is going to be thrilled to find out he's not done after all...NOT....I could "probably" do them...but it would take me longer & not look half as good as what he will do...at least this will not interfere with the plumbers setting the fixtures next week....so maybe it will finally be done in another week or less....the good thing is I can paint while Barb works from home...

KAREN..........time to SLAP BARB over the head a few times. Next time she even THINKS something MIGHT need re-doing..... just do it and have it done with. You are one FANTASTIC and PATIENT sister is all I can say. Glad that you'll have Wes do the dry wall job.

The dining room paint picture will have to wait until the light fixture and the window curtains are in. It just doesn't look like much right now. :emoticon 0138 thinking:

Paid the bills online and now I need to get to the GROCERY store. If I wait much longer the dinner time crowd will be coming in. Those are crazy rush shoppers.

Printed off a $4 buck coupon for Art's Gel Eye drops he uses at night. Every penny counts these days.

Have A Good Day GIF

Not much going on here today.
A stroll with the pups in the rain, a trip to COSTCO, another stroll with the pups, pick up Xarelto at the pharmacy and laundry.
It’s 10 to wine o’clock.
Everyone be good. No “Gibb’s Slapping” sisters. Or other family members…

Some of you on here might want to READ this entire article. This doctor is one of our better guys here in the Detroit-Metro area.

Got the shopping done and let me tell you when MILK is $3.29 a gallon we need to start to worry. Thank goodness I don't drink too much milk to make it an issue. I spent way more than I usually do. I had a $7 off coupon and got $4 bucks off on Arts eye drops. All together with my Kroger card I save $35 bucks. But just think of how much I spent to save this much.

GAS prices have climbed again over-night. $4.39 a gallon. Crazy. People that work and drive to an office haven't seen INCREASES IN THEIR PAYCHECKS to cover these hikes. It's just wrong.

And then you have BP gas stations that hike their prices even higher. $4.89. SAD.

My knees are barking after all that time in the grocery store.

Dave: I did buy all the ingredients to make a KEY LIME PIE! Even the good 'Nellie & Joe's' Key Lime Juice in a bottle. I can thank you for all the chatter about Key Lime Ice Cream! Haha

Good Saturday morning Bunnies!

It's time to grab a mint julep, place your bet, and ladies grab your big fancy hats.......It's Kentucky Derby Day. The horse I'm rooting for is Smile Happy.

KC; When a project is almost done, and someone wants to make changes, I'd just hand them a hammer or paint brush.

For me, celery is only good when there is peanut butter on it.

Not much on my schedule today. It's suppose to be soggy all day.

But after I get off the treadmill this morning I hope to make a quick stop at the grocery store. The "Ice Cream Guy" there said that there'd be another delivery of ice cream before the weekend. But he couldn't guarantee that there'd be any Key Lime Pie in the delivery.

Good morning.
We’re off on a walking tour of an old part of Windsor this morning.
Celery is also good for stirring Bloody Mary’s. Just adding one more benefit.
Have a wonderful day and we’ll see you later.

Good Derby Morning to you all.
I'm going for #10! ZANDON.

Dave: I made that Key Lime Pie last night and it was yummy! I made it in a rectangle pan instead of a round pie pan. It will be the death of me since I love Lemon or Limes so much.

Lee:
What's going on in the OLD PART of WINDSOR? To me ever part of Windsor is old. Haha.

The SUN is out here right now and it's 49F right now and climbing. :clap002:

Have a good day all. I'll be back.

Happy Saturday, bunnies! Beautiful morning here, but rain will be moving in later. We had a rousing t-storm during the night with torrential rain for a few minutes. I hope that primed the grass and flowers for more rain later. We certainly do need it.

I forgot all about the Kentucky Derby being today. When we lived in Ocala, you read much more about the horses as many get trained up there. After all, Ocala's motto is "Horse Capital of the World"!

Lee - Enjoy your walking tour of Windsor this morning. O bet it will be very interesting.

Karen - I can't imagine what your sisters would do if you weren't around and willing to take on these home improvement jobs.

Kathy - All this talk abot key lime everything has me debating making a key lime pie too. Only thing I don't Have is the condensed milk, If I get that, I'm good to go. I know they all love it in this house.

Nancy - Glad the pain meds are helping a bit with the swelling in your hands. That was one wicked batch of pills you took. They would make anyone sleep well.

Sorry I never made it back here yesterday to tell you about my ultrasound. I've had one before, but nothing as complete as this one. I didn't think the tech was ever going to finish! Only thing he would tell me is that some of the veins have a lot plaque in them. Now I have to wait for 2 weeks before I can see the doctor again for the results and how he plans to proceed.

So tell me, does anyone have anything special planned for tomorrow? I want to get out today and pick up a little something for our girls. Bert made me laugh when I told him this. He says to me "I guess you want me to buy you a plant". I told him no, and that a diamond would be nicer! I don't need to tell you that went over like a lead balloon!

I want to get outside before the rains come, so I better get off the computer now. Have a fantastic day!

Good morning...been awake since about 5:30 thanks to Scooter...she is getting worse & worse with the yowling & crying...I really do think she has some form of pet dementia going on...

Dave, hope you are able to score some Key Lime Ice cream today...and I hope it's as good as you are expecting!

Kathie, thanks for the reminder on the Derby today...I haven't checked out the entry's yet so need to do that before Post time...

Lee, enjoy the walking tour! How's the eye feeling now?

Pat, hope the Dr. visit went well ...I see you posted as I was typing...good to know the tech was super thorough with your ultra sound...
Poor Bert...wonder how many stores he will visit today looking for a "diamond plant"..

Well, Wes got the new walls up yesterday...and installed the new light fixture Barb had picked out...everything will be ready for me to paint tomorrow and other than putting up her shower curtain rod & building shelves in the closet my part of the remodel will be done...Wes told her the plumbers & him would be there bright & early Tues. morning to set the fixtures...
Took today off to get some much needed chores done around my place...changed the sheets & cleaned my bedroom & both bathrooms...need to clean the kitchen counters & vacuum the living room area rug...and then I may just head to the pool this afternoon...although it will probably be cool again since we got some heavy rain last night....guess it's time to get back to work...Later gang

Hope the Ice Cream man comes through with a supply of Key Lime pie ice cream and that you find it as great as you imagine it will be, Dave.
Rita is off to a baby shower for our niece (Rita's sister's daughter-in-law.
Not even close to 95 degrees here today or in the foreseeable future and the winds are ferocious so I hate to think of what the wind chill has done to our temperature.
Tomorrow the whole gang will be trying out a different Chinese restaurant for a Mother's Day luncheon. Everyone will be in attendance including the two grandkids who arrive home from UMaine Orono today. Yesterday we attended a school play in which our youngest granddaughter had a lead role. She has been in this drama kids group for the past several years and has progressed from playing a frog in a much earlier season, to the lead this year. She is also in the school band and a soccer player and works part-time at a local Dunkin', so a very busy teen.
Pat, I have been meaning to ask you for you opinion about the most recent Janet Evanovitch book. I have been struggling to get interested enough in it to get through it, which was never the case with her previous novels.
On another note, just when does anyone think that "The Blacklist" actually 'jumped the shark'? Was it when Elizabeth was killed, or Tom, or when Huey Lewis appeared, or was it this season? Where is the "Cabal" when we really need it?

A very late good morning. Sleep was not great last night. We are supposed to get the last of the rock for the driveway today but after talking with Orrie I don't think it will happen.

Tomorrow we are going to Benihana's for dinner. Yesterday I got a nice bottle of red wine and a flight of a different red wine from Jennifer for Mother's Day.

All have a great day.

Absolutely beautiful outside today. The weather channel says it's 62 F, but with the sunshine out there I think they are wrong. In the car I had to put on the A/C! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Love all the chatter on here. Keep up the good work.

Too bad I didn’t have any money on the horse!

Such language the day before Mother’s Day Kathie!
Which brings me to this important message…
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all of the wonderful Mom’s who are part of our lives. Come on guys, let’s spoil them all more today than other days.

Happy Mother's Day Ladies!

And yes, you are all very good Mommas. Around here it should be nothing but sunshine and blue skies for their day.

The grocery store was loaded with all kinds of ice cream yesterday, but not a bit of the Key Lime Pie they advertised. So much for special trips there to pick some up.

Feel so bad for Scooter. Us humans can understand our ailments, but animals only feel fear.

And all I needed was a brain-fart.

Did you ever have one of those things that you know you know, but can't think of it. Like a name. If you heard someone say it or read a list of names you'd say "THAT'S IT!"

That happened to me yesterday. On the boob tube they mentioned the book/movie, "To Kill a Mockingbird". Great story. In it the attorney Attica Finch had a daughter with an odd name which I just couldn't remember. And I knew I knew it. Do you remember the girl's name?

This drove me nuts for hours.

But, FINALLY I got a brain fart. Scout.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, LADIES, BE YE A PARENT OF A 2-LEGGED CHILD, A 4-LEGGED BABY, OR ONE WITH FEATHERS! HAVE A FANTASTIC DAY!!

Good morning, everyone. Another pretty day around here.

Dave - Pick me! Pick me! I know the answer to your question ... Scout. That really is an unusual name, especially in those days.

Bill - I wasn't too impressed with that Janet Evanovich book either. It was such a change from her usual writing. I did finally get into it when I was about half way through the book, so hang in there.
You said that everyone likes everything I make. WRONG! Gary and Bert hate two things I make - linguine with white clam sauce and potato pancakes. Don't as me why. Bert will grudgingly eat the white clam sauce, but Gary can't stand it. Go figure.
Enjoy your family lunch at the Chinese restaurant.

Never did get to watch any of the race, as M&J stopped by with food. Seems like yesterday was the fishing club's annual potluck. They had so much food left over. They brought us 4 containers of food, including enough of Jimmy's famous baked beans that we froze 2 containers of them!

Got Laurie & company coming for the day. Of course that means Momma's cooking. Going with everyone's favorite peppers, onions, and sausage sandwiches. Now I just need Bert to get his butt in gear and pick up the rest of what I need to make this.

Time for a cup of coffee and to give the newspaper a quick read before I get involved fixing anything for lunch. Have a wonderful day and make sure all the ladies have a very special day.

Mothering Sunday Happy Mothers Day GIF
To all mom's be it human or pets.... Wishing you a very Happy Day!

Dave: Bummer on not getting that ice cream. Keep trying.

Pat: Not right that you have to do the cooking on "Mother's Day". But we know you love it, so enjoy your day and family.

Lee: I really only wrote the letter "F"! You must have miss-understood what I was trying to convey. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen: I hope you take today off and just sit on your patio and chill out. Maybe even go to the pool for a while. How is Scooter doing today?

Hope all the rest of you good folks have a nice day.

We'll be eating at Maxwell's around 5'Oclock. Ashley's making her Volks Pasta! Nice treat.

Later gang. I need to get outside and check out my Perennial plants around the house. Love all the White and Pink Flowering trees everywhere. Wish they would last longer.
