Good Sunday morning, gang. Feeling a heck of a lot better this Sunday than last Sunday for sure. Read back over all I missed and have proceeded to forget 99% of it all, so forgive me if I don't make a comment. I'm also still pretty loopy from all the meds I'm still on. Oh, to have Tony here to make a comment about that line. I'm sure he's hysterical laughing!!
Karen - Glad Scooter is one strong cat , after all. Good for her. Sorry to hear about another loss in Wendy's family.
Sorry for all the snow and freezing weather some of you up north have been getting. Also glad us southern belles were able to provide a few nice days once again to our snow bunnies spending time with us right now. We may be in for a few hilly days (sorry Lee, that you need your big boy pants for these early morning walks right now), but it will get better.
Lee - How long will you and Lu-Ann be here this year? Still hoping for our trip to True Blue before you head home.
So now for the tale of my problems ... Seems like a little over a week ago apparently I started to retain water again and my oxygen level kept going down every time I even took a few steps. By Saturday night I was really struggling for breath, even while wearing oxygen. I finally admitted that I needed to go and get checked out. Of course, it would be freezing outside and I have no winter coat, so I had to go wrapped in blankets. So glad Celebration Hospital has valet parking, so they met us right at the door and in I went. It took until Sunday to get me into a real room and then they started testing for blood clots, heart problems and anything else they could think of. It all came down to keeping my O2 level up and they found that the best way to do that was for me to wear a breathing gizmo overnight. It was similar to a Cpap (I think that's what it's called) It really works. O2 is way up and and I feel so much better. They made me stay an extra day in the hospital until they could order a unit for me to take home with me. It arrived Friday, and so I came home.
Now I have to deal with follow up appointments and lots of home health appointments. For sure things will be busy around here in the coming weeks, but that's good. I need to get into the best shape for our cruise the end of this month, because, hell or high water, we are going on this anniversary cruise.
So now you have the whole story and it's time for me to get off here for now. The rest of the family are just showing up in the kitchen (except Bert, of course!), so I can't wait to see what they're making for breakfast today.
Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone, no matter what you have planned. Be good and stay safe!
