WELL, I thought TODAY was SUNDAY! Good grief has it come to that already. I'm losing my mind!! (Dear Tony, is laughing his head off over that sentence). Reminds me that tomorrow Feb 1st is one year since he left us for greener pastures. :(

We had ACTION at 8:30 a.m. here in front of our house. A HUGE lumber trailer truck pulled up with a huge fork lift on the back and had what looked like 25 foot beams and another stack of wood on it. It was for our next door neighbors kitchen project. (lordy) Well, without moving 2 cars that were in the street this guy picks up the stack of 25ft boards and moves it up to their driveway and the machine does an amazing turn and gently lays it down their entire driveway and I think some of it is in the garage area. UNREAL. This part of the project to get a "OPEN CONCEPT" look from the kitchen into the family room has to be costing over $10,000 plus! Yet alone the rest of the project. How they get those BEAMS into the house will be more than interesting to hear someday when this is all over. You have to cut into walls, and go through rooms, etc, etc. ART just SHAKES HIS HEAD! He said if they wanted that look they should have put the house up FOR SALE and found a new one.
The sad thing is that we're suppose to get 6 inches of Snow on Wednesday afternoon and into Thurs morning. All that nice wood will be buried!

DAVE: I think we all knew that your SIL and daughter would NOT be getting Vax'd. The folks out in Arizona just think differently than some folks. I hope for the best for them and will keep any other comments to myself.

I will be cheering on the LA team because of the Quarterback coming from the Detroit Lions. He deserves to be in the Super Bowl and if he WINS it will be just FANTASTIC after sticking it out with the Detroit Lions for so many years of defeat.

DAVE: I will NOT be doing any "detective" work on trying to find out what is going on with BB! I've learned my lesson regarding that issue. All I can do is WISH HER A SPEEDY EXIT from the hospital. I pray that she will be alright.

I looked at our desk calendar and the ENTIRE WEEK IS BLANK! WOW....that's like a MIRACLE!

Karen, thinking of you and Scooter. XOXO

Out of here now to continue knitting. The kitchen floor will have to wait until later and the bathrooms too. Ha Ha

Later gang.

LEE: I hope your weather gets up into the at least the 65's real soon. This is not what you were expecting.

Good morning. Well the temp here is at 64 and supposed to go up more.

The last few hours of the Rolex 24 yesterday were very good. Am glad the Helio won and the racing in the one GPD class was something especially on the last lap.

Tonight on FS1 Race Hub comes back, all talk about NASCAR and I am ready for it.

Hope to get at least some of the plants back outside today. But even though they say don't I will be pruning a wood rose plant.

I really don't understand why people think the vaccines for Covid make it harder to treat the person if they do get Covid when all the hospitals say completely the opposite and all the reports are that getting Covid does not make you have less of a chance of getting again.

Yesterday evening a lady whose husband had worked for Bruce came by hoping that I would go with her to the ER for her to get a Cat Scan. It took a bit but I was able to convince her that it would not do any good for me to go with her. She told me she was mad at her regular Dr because the Dr would not see her in the office because she has not gotten the vaccine, I did tell her that all over Dr's are refusing to see people if they aren't vaccinated and this surprised her. She said she has a
friend that most likely will go with her to the Cat Scan but of course she barely remembered the ladies name and of course can't remember where exactly she lives or what her phone number is, so I don't think she will get this lady to go with her. and I am not sure that she will actually go and get the Cat Scan. When Bruce saw who I was talking with he went and hid, he has as big a problem with Peggy as I do. When her husband died we helped her with some things and so she thinks that we are real good friends but I just can't handle all of her real and perceived problems, so just can't be around her. Oh well.

All have a great day.

Two excellent playoff games yesterday and one of the two teams that I was rooting for actually won. Both teams in the Super Bowl certainly deserve to be there and if the games the past two weekends are any indication, we should be seeing a great game on Super Bowl Sunday. I'll likely be rooting for the Bengals but Stafford and the Rams are worthy opponents so I wouldn't be devastated if they pull off a win.
Hope Scooter can rebound KC and definitely hope to hear soon that BB is back home and on the mend.
There is no fixing stupid, Dave and at this point nothing surprises me when I hear some of the stuff that the
ant-vexers are spouting.
Hard to believe that we have been here a whole month and have yet to visit the pool. Hope that the weather in February is more conducive to outside activities.

We went for a nice drive to Port Huron to pick up some YARN I need to finish my project. I could have had them mail it, but we wanted to go to see the ICE JAMS on the LAKE and it was worth the drive. AMAZING what WIND and WATER can turn into when frozen. HUGE pieces of ICE that look like glass. And with the sunshining on them it was even more amazing.

Nancy, right when that lady told you that she hadn't gotten vaccinated I would have said, "I'm sorry, but I have to close the door right now. We are vax'd and I don't want to take any chances". "Thank you and good luck!" I don't blame BRUCE for hiding. I really don't understand how she thinks she will even get into the hospital for the test. Crazy.

I stopped and got my car washed on the way home. It's a darker BLUE color and it looked WHITE from the salt and dirt of the last storm. Looks so nice now that it's clean.

Then I ran into the Kroger grocery store for butter and eggs and a box of pasta. Well, there's now a RUN and SHORTAGE on PASTA. A few boxes of spaghetti, but that was it. CRAZY.

Price of MILK has doubled since the last time I bought some. UNREAL.
I wore my mask and most folks did too. BUT as always there were many that didn't bother.

By the way, Art and I ate at a famous Chicken place in Port Huron and we were the ONLY ONES in the place. Yippee. Now that was safe! Had the best
Boasted Chicken Lunch. They cook it to order so you do have a slight wait, but it was really very good. So that was our OUTING for this week. It was nice to eat out for a change.

Bill: It's suppose to be getting into the 70's very soon by you and by Lee. Just been a bad season so far.
Normally it's not like this. But you know that from past trips.

Did you hear that the JERK who use to be president said that if he runs and wins in the next election he'll be PARDONING the people who were convicted in the Jan 6th, 2021 event at the White House. Lord this man is REALLY NUTS.

Later folks.

Good Tuesday morning, Bunnies. And welcome to February.

Yesterday was chilly, but sunny all day. That sun sure cheers people up. Today it'll be partly sunny and up to 40 degrees. And then the "fun" begins. Rain late on Wednesday, turning into freezing rain and then snow. Some areas in N.E Ohio could get a foot of snow during Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It'll all depend or where the warm and cold fronts settle in.

Survey says; So far, 3 Bunnies will be rooting for the Bengals in the Super Bowl, and one rooting for the Rams. I still thing the only reason many people watch the game is to see the half-time show. "Who are these people?" I asked myself when they announced who was performing.

The Buffoon will just not go away. Every chance he gets he jumps up and down yelling this saying that just like a 5 year old craving attention.

It's crazy the amount of money people will spend on remodeling their house, instead of buying one that has what they want or building a new one to their specs. Half the price of remodeling is tearing out and hauling away the old stuff.

The plan is to go grocery shopping today. Or at least it was the plan last night. Tomorrow morning I've got a doctors appointment with blood flow testing. And we want to get things done before this round of a winter storm warning starting late Wednesday. Freezing rain scares me the most.

So have a good one, and play it safe, you cute little Wabbits.

Made it through another month. Now to make it through February!

Good Morning Wrabbits! Sunny here too DAVE. 25F right now and suppose to CLIMB to 40F.
That beats Florida's lows the past week. Hopefully, they'll be in the 70's this week and forward.

As for getting ready for the now 8-10" of snow predicted..... I only need to go to the butcher shoppe and have them grind me up a pound of Chili Meat. It's coarser grind and makes the Chili a little chunkier. I have everything else to keep us very comfortable for at least a week. Glad we made the drive to Port Huron to pick up more yarn. That should keep me busy during the storm.

PAT: Not sure you have your cell phone with you or if you are reading along, but ALL of US BUNNIES hope you get out of the hospital soon and get back on here. YOU ARE MISSED!
There are better ways of getting away from your family and cooking than checking into the Celebration facility!

Karen thoughts are with you and Scooter. Take care.

YES... I am going to be the one rooting for the LA RAMS! After all that Quarterback came from the Detroit Lions and deserves to WIN a Super Bowl game. He paid his dues putting up with all the BS the Detroit Lions head office dished out all those years.

Bill: So did you get that watch band fixed yet? How's Jamie doing? Have they managed to dig out of all the snow yet?

Lee: How are the Pups and you and Lu-Ann doing? What's on the adventure agenda today? Hopefully the SUN and HEAT will be better today and through the week and you two can get in and enjoy it. Hope the place left you some floaties!

Okay, I need a cup of coffee. If the temps actually get up into the 40's later today I'd like to get down the Christmas lights off the Sargents Crab Tree and house.

Take care and stop by and let us all know what's going on in your neck of the world!

Good afternoon. Well the dishwasher was delivered this morning and even though it was stated install since it is hardwired the delivery guys could not do that as that means you have to be a licensed electrician so Bruce is working on installing it and has run into a couple of problems but I know he will get it done.

Almost all the plants are out of the garage and back where they belong except for some of the hanging ones as Bruce wants to reenforce the poles, so they will either get done later today or tomorrow.

Temp is 73 and I think we have hit our high for the day but it is very nice out.

Everyone have a great day.

Good afternoon.
A special thank you to The Florida Belles for a picture postcard perfect day. Bright, sunny and the low 70’s. It was a perfect morning to take the water taxi from The Springs to Port Orleans have a walk to Riverside and catch the water taxi back to The Springs from there.
I have to agree Dave. Freezing rain is just plain tough to deal with. With the so-called half time entertainment these days it’s a good time for me to do something useful.
It sounds like you’re getting some nasty weather your way too Kathie. You have the right attitude. Sit tight, stay warm and stay safe. I got a winter weather advisory on my watch. For The Burg. No 8” to 12” of snow in our forecast here in Ki$$immee.
The dollar signs seem appropriate as we’ve noticed everything has gone crazy price wise since our last visit! Fuel jumped about 30 cents a gallon overnight. Glad I filled up yesterday. :)
Seems dishwashers are a real pain for the good folks in our hutch Nancy. Bill could write a book on his still ongoing tale of the dish washer. Nice that Bruce is able to get it connected and up and running.
So it’s official Bill. TB hangs up the cleats. Like him or not he put up some pretty memorable performances.
Thinking of you Karen.
Best feed the pups. Have a fantastic evening everyone.

It was a bit of a challenge, Dave, but I finally have two fully banded and functioning wrist watches. First I went to Kay's Jewelers in the Vero Outlet Mall only to find that they didn't have a wrist band for my Movado watch and if they ordered one for me it would take about a month and a half for it to be delivered, It also turned out that they didn't have the tool that would be required to take the links out of my inexpensive Walmart watch. They did tell me that there was another jewelry store next to the Publix which was very close to where we are staying so I went there and they were not only able to attach a new wrist band for the Movado but also remove two links from the band on the other watch.
Last night we were able to see, from our living room window, the contrail of the rocket that was launched from Cape Canaveral. A few other folks were out on the golf course watching the launch.
Glad to see TB retire while still at the top of his game. While it would have been wonderful if he won still one more SB before retiring, it is still better that he knew when to call it a day. He has set many records that should hold up for many years.
As far as the half-time entertainment during the Super Bowl it has mostly been my opinion that the performers have been picked in order to appeal, not to NFL fans, but to those folks who have little or no interest in football but will watch (and increase the program's ratings) because of the appeal of those performers.
Jamie is still in the hospital and did not have restful night, but hopefully things will improve over the next few days.

Quick check in from Belleview...Scooter is still holding her own...Sat. night was touch & go for a little while but she's eating & drinking well & spending time on the back porch now that it's warmed up a bit...so I'm still holding off on making the call...

Bill, sorry to hear Jamie is still in the hospital...hope they can figure out what is wrong & get her feeling better ASAP!

Hard to believe a year has gone by since we lost Tony..even after all this time I still half expect to see a post from him pop up....

And in the theme of could things get much worse for Wendy..her daughter's husband had a massive stroke Sunday night & is not expected to recover...they advised his wife not to put him on life support as it would only prolong the
inevitable...he is 71 years old...his daughter flew in from Texas last night to be with her Mom & they have a son here in Ocala as well...I'm not sure whether the kids are allowed to be at the hospital or not, but I know his wife is...they called in Hospice yesterday...so hopefully they are all able to be there with him...
Hoping to hear good news soon about Pat also!

Karen: Good to hear that Scooter is still hanging on and improving. It might have been the CHANGE IN THE WEATHER. Who knows.
And poor WENDY. She's had a heck of a time and it just keeps piling on. Prayers they will all make it through it.

Bill: Glad you got the watches taken care of. Amazing how much running around you had to do. Nice you got to see a glimmer of the launch.
Hope that Jamie will be improving soon and be able to go home.

I really think that TONY reads along from above and just SHAKES HIS HEAD AT US.

LEE: Finally a little warmer. Sounds like a fun day running around Disney Springs. They really should make you two TOUR GUIDES! Any chance of getting into the pool?

I went to the Veggie Mkt and at one end they have a fresh FISH area. They had Wild Caught Salmon and although it was expensive I got use some. The man cuts exactly how much you want from a big piece. I used the Cast Iron skillet to grill them. Of course, even with the hood fan on #5 the kitchen smells, but not a ugly fish smell. I put a candle in there now to help clean out the smell. Dinner was YUMMY. I found our favorite Red Wine and we were styling.

I put a sign on the tree in front of our house that said:
SNOW PLOW ALERT!
Park in the driveway.
And guess what the family next door that parks in front of OUR house ALL year actually moved their cars into their driveway. WOW! I hope the snow plow man appreciates my efforts to make it easy for him to clean the STREETS tomorrow & Thursday.
Now I just have to hope that the guy (Eddie) that does our driveway and sidewalks doesn't dump all the snow in the street.

The family next door that got the LONG HUGE piece of wood and a bundle of 2x 4's moved all that wood into the garage or house or someplace. Smart move since it would WARP outside and be covered by the 8-10 inches of snow we are suppose to get. Art just wonders if they are crawling over those huge long pieces of wood in the house!

Off to watch some Michigan State Univ basketball.

So GLAD that Tom Brady called it quits. Smart Move. Although he DID NOT thank the owners, the organization or anybody. I'm thinking there's more to him LEAVING that meets the eye! Hmmmm.

We went grocery shopping yesterday morning. At first I couldn't figure out why there were so many customers. DUH, there's another winter storm heading for this area starting tonight through Thursday. It's still not clear how much rain, or sleet, or snow we'll get here in Massillon.

Sounds like it's your turn to get clobbered with snow, K2. That sign in your yard seems to be the nudge the neighbors needed to not park in front of your house.

Something tells me KC, that Scooter has just been waiting on some warmer weather to perk up. Wendy sure hasn't had any good luck recently.

I bet you had shorts on yesterday when it was only 60 degrees, Lee. Sure sign of a "snow-bird".

You sure make finding a watch-band sound difficult, Bill. But it was an adventure for you.

Nancy; Hit the wrong button on your new dishwasher yet, causing it to run 3 hours?

Thinking of you BB. How's about getting Bert to bring you one of your devices that will get you on here.

We'll be leaving in a bit so I can get my circulation test. After which I'll talk to the doctor to see how it went. It sure is nice getting a test and finding out the results all in one office visit. He's the doctor that cleared out one of my carotid arteries, not that long ago. Usually his office is pretty good about running on time.

Are you kidding DAVE.... We know that LEE had his shorts on when it was in the 40's. Ha Ha. I'm just glad it's finally getting warmer for those Canadian Snow Birds! They deserve some nice weather.

Snow Day GIF by GIPHY Studios Originals
Well, it rained through the night and now at around 9 am it started to snow. A FINE straight down light snow right now. Suppose to do this ALL DAY and NIGHT!
The weather people cut down the inches from 18 inches to 8-10 inches in our area. That's still more snow than we've had in years.

Dave, the sign I nailed to the tree worked. All the neighbors next door and across the street and down the street have moved their cars into their driveways! It's like a MIRACLE! Ha Ha.
It's funny to see NO CARS in front of our house after all these years. Actually amazing.
Hope everything works out okay with the TEST and the RESULTS today. Nice to know ASAP how things turned out. That's a good doctor to not make you wait. Keeps his SLATE clean too not having to have patients come back just for a result. Take care.

Karen: I hope that Scooter is continuing to do better.

Lee: Where are the 'adventure plans' for
today taking you guys? You need to venture EAST and go see the Atlantic! Not sure how long the pups can ride in the car, but then they handled the long ride down to FL very well, so I bet they would do just fine on a day trip.

BILL/RITA: How's it going in your area? Do they have movie night or Bingo in that complex?

PAT: If you are reading along, which I doubt, WE MISS YOU GIRL. Get out of that place before they make you go back to Rehab again. I hope you are walking around. Gotta keep moving.

Nancy: So does the dishwasher work??

Later gang. I see that the snow is barely falling right now. Wonder if it's being collected in a big net up in the sky and then Mother Nature is going to PULL the STRING and let it all fall at one time. Ha Ha.

There is another rocket launch scheduled for today, although I'm not sure of the time. This time, if the time is right, we will probably step outside so that we can get a better view.
It was more than a bit of a challenge getting the wrist bands, Dave, but I got tired of looking at my wrist when I wanted to know the time and seeing a bare arm.

Jamie's situation is getting better. They gave her toast this morning and she seems to be tolerating it better than she did the other day. Next they will try her on solid foods and if that goes well, she may be going home tomorrow. Her birthday is coming up towards the middle of the month and I know she doesn't want to be celebrating it in the hospital.
Weather promises to be warmer today so we may actually go and sit by the pool for a while. Other than picking up a prescription at the pharmacy today, nothing special is on the agenda.
Hope Pat's situation is improving and that she, too, will be heading home soon. News Flash: it's Groundhog Day, and it is being reported that Punxatawny Phil saw his shadow, so bundle up, folks, we're in for six more weeks of winter.

Good afternoon. Well we ran the dishwasher and there were no leaks so it is being filled but since it is just the two of us it takes a few days, but that is okay.

Had to go to the grocery for a few things and ended up at two but got the things I needed. One thing I do at Publix is weigh myself and when I did it today I found I have lost another 3 pounds, so slowly but surely which to me is the best way. And to think it all started with having my gallbladder out and having to cut way back on fats, and really it has been pretty easy.

Everyone have a great day and if you are in the cold stay warm.

Good afternoon.
Two quick semi true stories from the pale hairy legged snow bird.
At 7:25 we watched Punxatawny Phil choose a prediction. The forecast is for 6 more weeks of Covid. ;)
Yesterday at The Springs I stepped in front of a guy who appeared to be a former POTUS. Being a polite Canadian I said “Pardon Me”. The response was “wait until I’m re-elected“.
Back later friends.

Good for you and your weight loss Nancy. You are spot on saying it’s better to slowly drop the pounds! Always a good feeling to fire up the dishwasher and it runs as planned!
A good sign from home that Jamie is doing a bit better. Now Bill, I thought The Second Amendment protected your right to “bare” arms which I would think extends to your watchless wrist.
The power of a simple sign Kathie! In this community on street parking is allowed. The parking sides are switch every month. We played about an hour of pickle ball with our friends from “The Burg” this morning. That was fun! Yes, the shorts have now been in play for four days now!
How did the trip to “The Bones” go Dave? Hopefully all was a great result for you. Was this the big grocery or the Mom and Pop place?
Good news from Belleview about Scooter Karen. We’ll hope that she continues to do well. I know I know I’ve said it before but poor Wendy. Every time she turns around she gets kicked in the head.
I think that tomorrow we’ll head to The Springs and catch a bus to another hotel area. Maybe even throw in a trip on The Skyliner.
You all have a dandy evening everyone!
