So happy to hear that Scooter had a bounce back from the way she was feeling, KC. We so, so worry about our furry kids. Yes that 30 minute drive to the Vet is worth it since they treat you and Scooter so well.

So BB, what's your verdict on your new chair?

Single digits here this morning, but later in the day the sun should come out. It'll still be cold, but the sunshine helps everyone's mood.

Looks like Kathi's turn to help the dentist buy a boat. She had a crown come off. But for her it can't just be glued back on. Tooth under it is cracked, and unfixable. Implant time.

Sure need to hit the treadmill today. Lately I've missed more days than ones I've used it.

Breakfast this morning is heating up a new "5-layer" burrito from Taco Bell. Why's it called "5-layer? It took me a while to figure that out. It only means that there is 5 items in it. (Marketing at its' best.)

Good morning.
43F here but it could be worse. Oh wait. It will be tomorrow. But not the single digits you’re seeing Dave.
What are the odds on Art mounting his winter bike and heading out for a ride today Kathie? Did you find out how your friends from church are feeling?
Is the new chair everything you hoped for Pat? Can you adjust the speed that it rises you up?
I‘m sure that you have a little smile on your face seeing the conditions at home Bill. If you don’t have an email from me with my address in a bit I must not have the right email for you. Please send non sequential unmarked bills to the address I provide.

We have a second fridge at home as well Nancy. Like you and Bruce it’s primarily for the freezer but it’s good to have if we ever have a bunch of folks over again after this silly pandemic winds down a tad and need to refrigerate food and beverages.
How‘s our little patient doing this morning Karen. More to the point how are you doing after another vet bill!
I do hope that you all have a fantastic day. Everyone stays happy, healthy and warm!

Quick check in before I head to the grocery store to stock up on essentials before the REALLY cold weather hits...also going to swing by Jane's for a hair cut since I'll be in the area...

lee, Scooter seems to be feeling a bit better this morning...and the vet bill wasn't as bad as it had been...they didn't charge me an exam fee since we had just been there monday...so $60 for meds....any time I can leave with a bill in double digits I'm happy

Dave, have you had the taco bell breakfast burrito? They are really good...but I imagine that's to "normal" of a breakfast for you :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Sorry to hear about Kathi's dentist trip...
I think it was you who asked about the soup...planning to make a big pot of vegetable beef soup

Pat, sounds like the B&B is up & running full force again....I never did figure out why G&E sold there house....but I'm guessing they are in the market for a bigger one?

Bill, I thought it was odd that Sheri had to do the jump, but it was right on the clue when they read it...she is shorter than him, maybe that had something to do with it?

Kathie, sorry to hear about your friends from church...hope they will have a speedy recovery....

33 degrees here this morning & the furnace is just chugging away...it's not to bad in the house right now...but it's going down in the 20's tonite....at least the sun is out...time to get dressed & get moving if I want to beat the crowds at the grocery store....stay warm all!

Good morning. Well it did not get as cold this morning as they thought but will tomorrow. I have one sheet that has to be fixed as it blew off during the night so will have to somehow anchor it with the pots.

Yesterday we got a letter from the county that we need to replace the culvert, so I called a neighbor that had to do it a couple of years ago and were happy with the guy they hired. So I called him and since he lives in the neighborhood he came right over and gave a good price so I gave him his deposit so he can start as soon as he can get the permit. Bruce asked how long we would have to park on the road and since we don't have a concrete driveway he said probably only the one day of the work.

Am trying to decide if tonight will be chili or beef over noodles. both easy.

Since bending hurts my back a lot and I had to do a LOT of bending yesterday with taking plants to the garage I think today will be sitting in the house.

For some reason the smoke detector decided to start chirping this morning and so Bruce changed the battery but it still kept chirping so he has taken it down so he can see why the chirping.

All stay warm and have a great day.

Good afternoon, all you chilly bunnies! The sun may be shining, but I definitely do not like this weather!!

Dave - Ouch and $$$$ is all I'm going to say about Kathi's tooth problem.. Bummer!

Karen - Glad that Scooter got a decent report form the vet.

Kathie - So what are you going to bake today to keep warm?

Bill - Better cold in Florida than snow in Mass right?

Lee - Once again you're covering more territory than us.

I love the new chair and plan to get lots of use out of it.

Time now for some lunch.

The Weather Channel has been our source of information about the blizzard that is hitting the Northeast, especially Boston. You just know a big storm is expected when they dispatch Jim Cantore to the site. It also gave us an opportunity to catch up with Misch Michaels who was a weather forecaster on Boston TV for several years. We talked to both Lisa and Kevin and reminded them that they could go to our house, which has a generator, in the event that they lose power at their homes. The only problem would be getting there during the storm.
Frost alert and high winds around here but safe and warm inside so, so if we wander anywhere today, it won't be far or for long.
Wonder of wonders, neither Magnum or Bluebloods were repeats last night.

Good afternoon, folks!

Dave: Bummer on Kathi's crown needing big replacement. I'm wondering how much Art's front teeth work is going to cost us! You just have no choice unless you want to move to Tenn and live in the hills without teeth! Ha Ha.

Pat: Yippee, so happy to know you like your new chair. You'll have to get somebody to take a picture of you in it!

No BAKING today. Big basketball rivalry game about to start here.

Karen: Sure hope little Scooter is doing better today.

Off subject, but interesting: I watched the Animal hour on TV this morning and they were showing how they make 'braces' for animals with leg issues. Just amazing what they can do these days. I can just imagine how much one of those tiny leg braces cost!

Nancy: You need to have a wagon or some type of cart low to the ground with wheels on it to move those pots to the garage.

Lee: I really feel bad that you're not enjoying the usual 75-80 degree temps of the past visits to Florida. Just not fair after you waited so long to get there and after all you've been through the past year or so. BUT.....it is better than waking up to 1 degree weather here back home! Hang in there the HEAT will be back soon. Just imagine those people who paid to rent directly on the Gulf and can't get into the water because it's so cold. Brrrrrr

Bill: We've been watching the FAMOUS WEATHER CHANNEL and it's giving us amazing views of BOSTON and other snow-covered cities up the coast. Boston is doing a bang-up job on keeping the snow off the roads. People are actually staying home. No matter what the temp is in Florida you sure don't want to be back at home right now. Keep reading your books.

Okay, I need to get ready for the game. I'm knitting away as I stay bundled up under a blanket.

Later gang.

Good afternoon folks.
Ah geez Dave. When does Kathi go to the dentist? Will she be invited to the christening of the dentists boat?
Folks are just beside themselves with the colder weather Kathie. We feel fortunate that we still have some time down here. Lots of visitors who only had a week really didn’t get good weather at all. There was a family at the clubhouse today trying to change their flights on line AND find a place to stay for another couple of nights. They were headed back to Boston Logan airport.
Better your smoke detector chirped in the morning and not the middle of the night Nancy.
Any word from your family at home Bill. Hopefully they are all safe, sound and warm!
Pretty classy move by the vet to waive a second office visit fee Karen. Glad to hear Scooter is doing better.
With the cool temps Pat I think we’re venturing further afield than we may have if it was “sittin’ around the pool” weather. If that chair has a massage feature make sure you’re not holding a glass of wine when it comes on.
Time to feed the beasts. Again.
See you all tomorrow! Stay warm my friends.

Good Sunday morning!

Besides our furry little tails, all of us Bunnies have another thing in common today; It's damn cold wherever you are. I can't remember the last time that happened. Crank up those furnaces, and stay inside as much as you can.

Son-in-law is out of the hospital and home, with his oxygen bottles. I too doubt he and his family will, even now, get vaccinated.

Delighted to hear that you like your new lift-chair, BB.

Can't say that I've ever had a Taco Bell breakfast burrito. What's different about that burrito than a regular one?

Is Art's fix on his front teeth holding up?

Nothing much planned for the day. Depending on my feet, I may get on the treadmill again today. I sure love watching recorded movies while on there.

Today's breakfast is the other half of that "5 layer" burrito topped with some of my hot and spicy chili.

It'll be interesting to see of today's NFL scores will be as "interesting" as last week's.

Good thing we all have fur coats.

Not much to say so far this morning. (Insert collective sigh of relief from The Bunnies here.)
As the day starts to dawn on this COLD Sunday I hope you are all safe and warm.

OK, I lied.
Lu-Ann just saw that Pat is back in Celebration hospital. Hopefully it’s just a blip and a vert short visit.

breaking news trinity GIF

One of our BUNNIES escaped late yesterday and they found her at “Celebration Hospital”.

Pat: Hoping this will be a VERY SHORT VISIT.
Prayers going your way on this Sunday morning!

Good morning Wrabbits.

Dave nice to hear that your SIL is home, but if he’s still on oxygen he’s still has a long way to go. And to think this could have been avoided. Hope he gets better.

Our dear older friend from church is still in the hospital and NOT doing well at all. My heart breaks for him and his dear wife. They are glued to the hip and a perfect couple.

Hard to believe that we are able to get FREE vaccinations and there are people too stubborn to take advantage of it. If you can’t get vaccinated due to “health reasons” then they need to be even more pro-active with double masks that protect better than doing nothing.

DON’T FORGET TO REPLACE YOUR MASKS. THEY DON’T LAST FOREVER. If you can’t find the N95 (expensive ones) double up on the blue or white ones.

I hope you all have a good Sunday. Be safe and STAY WARM! We’re going into a heat wave here in PURE MICHIGAN! Suppose to get as HIGH as 23 degree today!
14 degrees right now!

Later gang.

Good morning. Well it did not get as cold as they thought this morning, so the plants outside are uncovered to get sun and warm up.

"

Nancy: You need to have a wagon or some type of cart low to the ground with wheels on it to move those pots to the garage." We do have a wagon but it is one those with the seats so not really good to move plants. At least moving them only happens every couple of years or so.

Watching the end of the Rolex 24.

All have a great day.

It is more than ironic that while our kids back home in Massachusetts are warm and comfy despite getting more than two feet of snow and outside temperatures in the teens and below, it was Rita and I who awoke this morning at about 8:30 to find the power in the condo was out. Not sure when we lost power but fortunately it came back on about 10am.
We did hear from Kevin last night that Jamie is in the hospital. She had a colonoscopy the other day and it appears that something happened and she is in serious pain, so they admitted her, have her on antibiotics and will keep her for at least a few days. She can't even have visitors due to Covid restrictions.
The new watch needs to have a few links taken out of the band so I went back to Walmart the next day to have it taken care of but was told that the person who could help me wouldn't be in until the next day. So I went back yesterday only to be told that "the machine" that is needed to perform the task "is broken". There is a jewelry store in the Vero Outlet Mall so I may go there tomorrow and either get that taken care of, or to purchase a new band for my old but more expensive watch.
Guess I will be rooting for Joe Burrow and the Bengals in today's contest.
Hope that family trying to get back to Boston found a place to stay for a few days,Lee, because I think it may be a few days before Logan is back to operating normally.

Bill hope that Jamie will be okay real soon.
Good that your power got back on so quickly. It’s been very adventurous for you with that WATCH situation. Hope the jeweler can help you out!

It’s Sunny here right now.

I watched the church service from our Orthodox Church in North Canton, OHIO. Said a prayer for all of us and for the man at our church.

Watching the animal program on TV. It’s always so interesting. They were in Africa today.

Time to reheat my coffee.

Sorry to hear Pat is back in the hospital...hope she feels better soon...

I'm going to be off board the next couple days...Scooter is not doing that great & if things don't improve in the next day or 2 , I will be making the call to let her go....will be back once the decision is made or she has a miraculous recovery...

As always our thoughts are with you Karen. I know you will what is right for Scooter.
Hoping Taylor is OK Bill and it‘s nothing serious. Good that your power came back too! At home we could start the fireplace for a little extra heat.
It’s been pretty sunny here all day Kathie. It was 30F around 6:00am and is 57F now at 5:00 pm. Really pleasant to walk the pups.
I was glad to see Helio drive the final stint for the team and win The Rolex 24 Nancy.
Keeping fingers crossed that someone hears some good news about our Momma Bunny.

Karen you and Scooter will be in our thoughts for sure. Keep us informed. Take care.

Great Football game and so fantastic that LA Rams won. Our transplant "Matthew Stafford" deserved to be able to play in the upcoming SUPER BOWL GAME. Something that didn't happen when he was in Detroit.

Hope EVERYONE GETS HEALTHY and out the various hospitals.
TAKE CARE FOLKS. WE can make through these hard times. :emoticon 0100 smile:

Good night from Macomb. Suppose to get 6 inches of snow late Wed thru Thurs. Joy, Joy!

Time to get on the case and get some details, you Bunny detectives. We all want to know what's going on with BB.

Our thoughts are with you KC. Never an easy call when deciding whether or not to send our pets to Rainbow Bridge.

Sorry to hear that your church friend isn't doing well in the hospital, K2. When I talked to my Arizona daughter last night I did ask her if she and her family are now motivated to get a Covid vaccine shot. NO. They are clinging to this idea that they are protected now that they've had Covid. And some nucklehead convinced them that it's harder to treat Covid in vaccinated people. GEESH!

Hope there was good time-keeping at the Rolex 24, Nancy. :)

Bill; Hoping that Jamie will get sprung from the hospital soon. And pain free.

So Lee, which team are you now rooting for in the Super Bowl? I'm just happy to see, after many many years, an Ohio team will be there.

My big goal for the day is picking up 4 prescriptions at Walley-World. I really like it that they bring it out to you in their parking lot. Less chance of catching something from all the unmasked customers. Including cooties.

Good morning.
35F to start the day. A tad chilly on our morning “pee walk”. For the dogs Dave.
There’s just no accounting for some people’s decisions is there. For the Super Bowl I’m going with “the team that beat my team becomes my team”. KC beat The Bills. The Bengals beat KC. So I’ll doom The Bengals and go with them.
Temps are headed up here Kathie so I’m not expecting any snow this week. ;)
Stay well my friends. I’ll check back later.
