Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Had a surprise visit from M&J and the kids. They brought me biscuits & gravy that Jimmy made this morning. He definitely knows the way to my heart!! They're out shopping now for a decent set of silverware after all these years. I sent them to BB&B to start. They will be back later as they are still collecting up their stuff they left here.

Dave : Art’s 3 teeth are basically each on his pointed sawed down own teeth. Then somehow together in the back. All I know is he’ll be getting fitted fir a new mold so they will fit better. I guess your gums recede as you get older snd the dentist says he needs to have this done. I wonder how much this will cost over and above our dental insurance. Ha ha

I’m binge watching a movie series on Netflix and it’s soooky but good. It’s called STAY CLOSE.

Good thing we have been staying home and being very careful where we go. 2 more families from church have had POSITIVE Covid tests. They go to our church. Can you even imagine how many other people we know or don’t know are getting this virus?? And these people have all been triple vax’d.

BE VERY CAREFUL FRIENDS. Don’t be screwing around with this darn Covid. It is the ENEMY.

BACK to the movie.

Stay Close is the Harlan Cobin one I mentioned the other day Kathie. He has other mini series on Netflix. They are all excellent!
We watched “Queenpins” on Amazon Prime last night. Loosely based on a true story. It was a fun little movie.
Temps are still above 32F here Nancy. But if I opened the front and back doors they’d cart me off!
So, does Jimmy deliver his biscuits and gravy Pat? I’m askin’ for a friend. ;)
After our river walk we headed to Starbucks for a warm beverage and then to Costco for chicken fajitas. They will do us for two dinners. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. We also have a couple of pieces of fish and a couple of sweet potatoes that I will cube and roast. The potatoes, not the fish. :p That means only one take away dinner before we leave.
Tomorrow I will start looking ahead to the weather in MI, OH and KY For the first leg of our journey.
Time to get the pups out.
Bills play in a little over 1/2 an hour.

Managed to make it out onto the lanai this afternoon to take advantage of our delightful temperature today. Once the sun went down though, it got chilly in a hurry. Bert's making fish sandwiches (under my direction) for dinner. One more thing cleaned out of the freezer.

Lee - Definitely sounds like you have this leaving town down to a science when it comes to food. Good for you guys.

Time now to shut down the computer for the evening, so I'll say good night.

STEELERS WON!!!!!!!

Lee- congrats to your Bills. Looks like they will not only win and take the division but they are going to beat the 16 1/2 point spread to win by 1/2 a point. Those guys who set the spread must be thrilled because I am sure that many off the folks who bet on games were enticed into putting their money on the pathetic Jets.

Can you believe those Detroit LIONS.... they actually WON today! LOL

Lee: Stay Close was really GOOD!
What are the names of the other series by Harlan Corbin?
I don't get Amazon or Amazon Prime movies.

BB: So when do you get to go over and see M&J's new house? I hope it won't be too long.

It's darn right freezing outside and WINDY as all get out.
Lee.....stay home in the morning. Hate to see you catch a cold right before you leave for your vacation.

Nite Wrabbits. Stay warm.

Good Monday morning Bunnies.

I see Lee that we both take Xarelto. So now it's a good time to see your Canadian prices. Around here, quite a few people go to Canada to get their prescription drugs. For a 1 month's supply, with my insurance, I still pay out of pocket $120. So what would you Canadians have to pay for the same thing? (I'll be so glad when they come out with a generic for that name-brand drug.)

How lucky and nice that you got homemade biscuits & gravy delivered to you yesterday, BB.

K2; Even with your excellent dental insurance, I'd bet that 3-tooth crown will still cost a bundle.

I too would have been tempted to bet on a team who's spread was 16 1/2 points, Bill.

For us, from yesterday's rain to a high today of only 20.

Is it just me, or is Cruise Addicts now really jamming the top and bottom of each page with more and more adds?

having not been her for very long, yes top and bottom ads, ads and ads.

Good morning. Well today Bruce's test was that his blood is way to thin so he has to get Vitamin K1 and take right away. I will have to call back to the Dr's with what the Mg is. And Bruce is going to do a few jobs today. I have to get a few things at the grocery

All have a great day.

Good morning, everyone! I sure hope your day is off to a great start.

I bet Lee is already out walking his fur babies and thinking about what all still needs to get done before they hit the road. Am I right?

Dave - I too agree that there's a lot more ads on top and bottom here now. I guess that's how they pay for the space, so we really should just ignore them for the most part. I don't think any of us wants to have to pay to chat with friends, right?

Nancy - Sounds like both you and Bruce have a busy day planned. It's going to be busy around here too. I have a phone conference annual physical scheduled for 1:30. Then at 3:30 that nurse that never showed up the other day is scheduled to stop by. I'll believe it when I see him. Then Bert has to pick up the kids from school as it's supposed to rain this afternoon. It's so nice that he can just drop them off at their house as Jimmy will be home in less than an hour. And the final thing on the to do list is to decide what we want for dinner tonight. And they say retirement is easy!!!

Kathie - I can go see M&J's house any time I want to. The rest of the family has already been there and Bert goes quite often dropping things or kids off. (See above!) I just haven't made it yet. I want to be more mobile without needing the walker. I'm in no rush, as they aren't going anywhere.

I found a chair that I really want, so now I have to go on a campaign to convince Bert this chair, or a similar one would be perfect for me right now. It's a power lift chair with massaging motors! Here's what it looks like -

Bruce needed a new recliner and the one I got him is a power lift with heat and message, we were only looking for the heat and message and it seemed like all with them also was a lift chair. I will say it is nice just pushing a button and being reclined or sat up.

Good AFTERNOON ALL!
It’s Sunny here….thank goodness. But earlier the WIND CHILL was 2 degrees here! Brrr!

Pat: That chair looks like it would be great in giving you that “lift” to get up and standing. I’m thinking Bert MIGHT just give-in and get you this chair.
Good luck with your phone physical and nurse check-up today.

It seems like this is a DOCTOR VISIT WEEK FOR US!
I have the knee appt on Tues.
Art has Dentist on Wed
Art has his one year heart doctor CHECK UP appt Thurs.

ALWAYS SOMETHING. HA HA.

Dave: I’m thinking you’re so right about Art’s dental work costing a few BUCKS! But you can’t go around with 3 missing teeth. Ha ha. At least the dentist was able to glue that gizmo back in temporarily.

LEE: So did you get that WALK in at the park this morning? Brrrr.

Negc: How are you doing today! Hope all is good with both of you. Please be careful.

Nancy/Dave: I use to be on Xarelto. And got changed to Eliquist blood thinner. The cost for 3 month (90 days) supply is $45 bucks. Same for both brands.
The Xarelto just made me feel tired.

Karen, not bugging you, but you SURE ARE MISSED ON HERE!

Later folks.

Lee -Looks like you're giving us the evil eye temperature wise here in Florida once you arrive. Our beautiful touching 80s days will be falling back to the 60s and 70s over the next few weeks. Nice and comfortable for you, but nippy for us Floridians! I'm sending Bert to Publix in a bit to pick up all the fixins for a big pot of chili!!!

Kathie - Definitely sounds like you have a busy doctor week ahead in your household. Y'all take care with all that scooting around you're doing.
I'm sure Bert would get that chair for me, if he could get the sectional sofa to come apart. He needs some of our big strong young men to have a go at it.

Almost time for this wellness call. Guess I better get off the computer for a while.

BB: You need to BRIBE YOUR STRONG Younger MEN by saying you'll make them their FAVORITE DINNER or DESSERT if they HELP get that sectional apart. I'm sure they'd
find a quick way of doing it for sure! HA HA!

Just got through paying bills online. Such a breeze to not have to write out checks and use STAMPS to mail bill out.

Dinner will have to be VERY SOUPY and soft. Art's GLUE JOB on his front bridge (teeth) is loose again. He might as well just take it out. We called the dentist, and he didn't want him using Dental Glue from the drug store. He said if Art wanted to drive over he'd glue it in place for him. Well, that's just too far to drive when you have to go there on WEDNESDAY. The old boy will just have to deal with it being loose and hopefully not choke on it.

I must say it's FREEZING here in PURE MICHIGAN. Hate it big time. You Florida gals enjoy your 60's & 70's........... we're at 16 degrees and at 2F with Wind Chill.

Lee: You got all your STUFF ready to pack into that sweet Van??

I can see you two vacuuming as you BACK OUT THE DOOR!

Good afternoon gang.
TOPPING THE HEADLINES…No, we didn’t take the kids for their walk today. With the windchill it was just too cold. Plus, Doug and Brenda came over (with Peachy) to pick up my tall ladder and share a morning coffee break. Then we started to pack dog kits and our big FL bag that stays in the van until we get to Emerald Island on Saturday.
I had to check that Pats score a couple of times Bill. Like you I couldn’t believe it either.
60‘s and 70’s until we get acclimated is OK by us Pat. As long as it’s sunny it’s all good. I know of a big strong young(er) man who could help with the sectional…
We should all be playing “doctor appointment bingo“ Kathie! Harlan Cobin’s series from books are on Netflix. The Stranger, Safe and The Five are three others that come to mind. All excellent binge worthy series! I’ll pack the van Wednesday night except for our “hotel” bag. We‘ll pack our meds and stuff in the bag and it will be the last thing o go onboard on Thursday morning.
Terrible thing to say Dave, but I don’t know what the Zarelto would cost. It’s one of the drugs that is 100% covered by OHIP. Are you saying that in his hay day The Master would have jumped on a spread like that? I couldn’t see all of your post for the ads…
My Dad had a lift chair Nancy. Made it much easier for him to get up and down when he needed to. No fancy heat or massage in his chair though.
Last visit to rehab tomorrow morning. Cardiac Rehab just to be clear. ;) See you all later!
Oh ya, you know the drill.

Both of my appointments worked out today! Surprise, surprise!! The phone one lasted about 45 minutes and was a lot of the same stuff you talk about at the doctor's office, so I learned nothing new.

The nurse actually made it on time today, once he found our house. He made a few suggestions, most of which I am already trying. He did tell me to make sure to tell the pulmonologist tomorrow about how terribly I have been sleeping and thinks I may need something to help. Time will tell. I will definitely talk to the doctor about this tomorrow. How long can you go not getting a good sleep due to pain? He also suggested getting more potassium as my BP is running low. Bananas, here I come!!

We are going to be really bad tonight and actually get Chinese food. I know we shouldn't, but I have been tasting Lo mein for days now, so I've gotta have some.

It's raining here now and we're getting some thunder mixed in, so it's time for me to shut down the computer. You all have a wonderful night and I'll see you tomorrow when, hopefully, the sun will be shining. I have an appointment with my pulmonologist at 11:15, so I might not catch up with you all until after I get home. In the meantime, take care, all and stay safe!

Looks like some M&Ms will cross the international border after all since the Patriots will be playing the Bills again this coming Sunday. Should we up the bet to 5 M&Ms, Lee. "Are you feeling lucky punk?"
25 of the 34 people in my football pool will be getting some, all, or more than the fee and I will likely have writer's cramp after writing all those checks.
Appointment with the doctor this afternoon so will sign off for now.

Correction: Pats/Bills game will be this Saturday night in the comfy confines of the Buffalo stadium.
Saw the surgeon today and have an appointment on February 14 to schedule the out-patient hernia surgery. Due to Covid the hospital has been cancelling elective surgeries so it is likely that it will be sometime in March before it can be done. I don't have a problem with the delay and it will be day surgery, in and out of
the hospital the same day.
Wrote out all the checks and need to go to the Post Office tomorrow to get the balance of the stamps I need and to send one check to our lone Canadian player.
Wish I could just make all those payments on line.
US Post Office has yet to deliver any forwarded mail. If memory serves it didn't take this long to begin getting it. Hopefully the new car issue of CR won't go missing as it has the past three or four years.

Sure, this “punk” is feeling lucky
Fingers crossed that your procedure goes as scheduled.
Seeing as your appointments went off without a hitch there Momma Bunny, I’d buy a lottery ticket too!
12F here on the old thermometer but the wind chill leaves it more like -3F. Yep, those 60‘s and 70‘s are lookin’ pretty good right now.
G’nite from The Burg.
