No wonder you’re tired Dave. You were up at 4:30. Rest up.
Stupid cold again here this morning. As good a day as any to go and get sweaty at rehab and come back out into the cold…
See you all later friends.

Good Morning Wrabbits!
Yup, it was 6F degrees here with -2 F WIND chill out there. Crazy cold. At least it’s SUNNY.

Dave: Hope your day gets better for you.

Lee: You’ll be one HAPPY CAMPER come Thursday morning. It’s been a long time coming for sure.

Our Big Beaumont Hospital system is FULL to capacity with SELFISH COVID PATIENTS that haven’t gotten vaccinated. All elective surgeries, lke knee & hip replacements, hernia surgeries, etc are on hold. Not enough nursing staff to do the surgeries. God forbid if you have a HEART ATTACK in this area…. Lord knows what will happen to you. I’ll stop for now.
MASK UP AND STAY HOME FOLKS.

If I didn’t have to go to get my knee injections today I’d be staying home. Same with Art and his dental appointments. Scares the h&ll out of me that he has to go through the procedures the next few weeks.

BB: You and Bert be really careful with your family coming and going in your house.
Okay, I need to get ready to head out of here.

Extra HUGS to you all.

Lee & Lu-Ann…make sure you WIPE AND SPRAY DOWN EVERY INCH OF THE ROOMS you guys stay in on the way to FL.

Later gang.

Good morning. Well yesterday and today no Coumadin for Bruce and back for testing tomorrow. Today will be moving my dresser, Bruce is taking the drawers out right now, so I have to go move the tv and some furniture.

I will call the insurance company today to ask about tier 3 drugs and how payments go, since we don't qualify for help from the drug company.

All have a great day.

Still cold here but we should be back to 32F tomorrow. A regular heat wave!
We have a flat pack of 84 Lysol wipes that will be in our hotel bag Kathie. Like when I went to FLL to get Ava and Latte. I wiped down everything. Some things twice! I hope your shot went well.
Nancy, did I miss it or are you still waiting on your dishwasher?
Photo time…I graduated from Cardiac rehab today. Yep, we have had to wear masks AND shields for the past 3 weeks. I’m not good at “selfies”. Can you tell? LOL

Nice chatter on here!

I did good with my knee appt. I get one more series next Tuesday.

Lee: Congrats on graduating from Cardio Rehab. Judy in time. Nice picture!

Are there any requirements to crossing into the USA from Canada?
We are being told to NOT TRAVEL INTO CANADA since things are spiking there. Ha ha. Like they AREN’T here.

We had another choir member who was totally vax’d get the Covid. Might have been from Serbian Christmas festivities. She is quarantining at home. Says she’s just tired. She tends to move around a lot from Detroit to Chicago, California. Could have picked it up anywhere.

Nancy hope you are able to get the meds at a less expensive rate.

Pat: That was one long phone visit w/the doctor. I’m lucky to get 15-20 mins tops at check up’s. Nice that the Nurse showed up.
Hope you get some help with the sleep issues from the lung doctor.

Negc: If you have to wait until March for your surgery do you think you should just wait until you get home and have it done closer to home?

Okay, I’m going to try and go to sleep. Seems like I wide awake! Darn it.

You all be careful. You know the drill.

Good Wednesday morning Bunnies! A chilly one here in Massillon, 29 degrees. But at least there's no snow in today's forecast.

Thank your lucky stars for your Canadian health insurance, Lee. Hospital bills and prescriptions are so much better than here. Cute picture. Good thing you mentioned it was a selfie, because I would never have identified it as you. Only one more wake-up and you'll be on your way south. My money says you're not going to be sleeping all that well tonight.

That power chair looks like a dandy, BB. They are a bit pricey, but well worth the money. I don't know a single person that has one that would go back to a regular Lazy-Boy type of chair. I thought those 2 cup-holders were a hoot. TWO glasses of wine at a time. Woo-Hoo!

K2; That's scary when when your hospital system is full-up. Car accidents, heart attacks & strokes don't stop happening. People working in the medical field never imagined these conditions when they originally signed up for the job. Feeling any effect yet from that knee injection?

You never did mention Nancy; Did you ask the doctor to get Bruce off of Coumadin, and all that testing?

This morning Kathi takes Fuzzbutt to the groomers. (I can no longer lift Fuzzbutt into the car.) Same routine, there. You pull up to their shop and wait in your car. Then they come out, masked, and get your dog. They have TV monitors of the parking lot inside their shop.

Try not to be fidgety today, Lee.

Good morning folks.
I’m glad to hear that your shot went well Kathie. Hopefully you will feel a lot better when the series is finished next week. At this point we only need proof of being fully vaccinated to cross into the USA via a land border. Flying is a whole different bag of cats. At this point, for now, we will need a negative PCR test 72 hours or less before we cross back from The USA into Canada. Who knows what will change by mid March.
I feel bad for your church friend who, in spite of being vaxed, got this danged virus. Does she have any underlying conditions that could contribute to her getting sick?
Dave, I don’t even want to begin to guess what the bill would have been for everything that they have done for me (to me?) since April. The original stress test, ambulance rides, hospital stays, surgery, rehab (cardiac rehab…still like to be specific :p) and medication. I haven’t had to spend a penny or even fill out a claim form. And we can throw in a month of butt radiation and the associated tests and doctor visits.
You need a doggy ramp for Fuzzbutt to get in and out of the car. I do reckon Lu-Ann and I will sleep just fine tonight. We’ll be busy tidying and doing laundry today. I‘ll have the van all packed up later on so tomorrow morning we only need to toss our “hotel bag” and the pups in to be on our way. Hopefully my biggest decision tomorrow will be Starbucks in ON or Panera in MI for breakfast. Maybe coffee here to tide us until we get to breakfast there.
Back later gang.
You all stay safe and sound, OK?

Good Morning! Another COLD wake-up here. 12F It’s suppose to creep up to 28-30F later today. Wow, a regular HEAT WAVE

Dave: My knee is feeling a little better. It still let’s me know when I stand too long. I did ask the Doc about a MRI to make sure he isn’t missing something and he said “Let’s finish the last of the injections and then if if things aren’t to your satisfaction we’ll move on to getting a MRI”! Okay, that’s fair.

I had our fireplace on yesterday and it was amazing how it made the room so cozy and warm. Wonder how much that cost us!

LEE: We’ll, it’s FINALLY time to do that last minute packing of the van. I bet you thought it would never happen. I’m so happy for you guys and know you will be careful. YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER TO CHANGE OUT YOUR MASKS. I just washed all of Art’s last night. He has the kind that have Velcro on the wide straps that go behind his neck. Helps avoid his hearing aids and glasses.
This will be Ava’s first Florida trip. Lucky girl.

If you can please e-mail me the address where you will be staying and a GOOD CELL number too. If I need to mail you something it is so much cheaper to send it to Florida.
Lee the choir member that has the Covid is very healthy. She just takes more risks going out in groups than I would. Her adult daughter is NOT vax’d. But she lives in Pittsburgh. St least she is staying home and following the quarantine rules.

PAT: Hope your appts all go smoothly for you today! Have you asked the family to help take the sectional apart so you can HOPEFULLY get that cool Lift chair?

Sure wish ALL our Bunny family members were on here. Missing them.

Out of here for now. Need to do some cleaning of bathrooms around here.

Later gang.

Yes we did ask about changing but as of now no change and if there is one it won't be to Plavix rather to Eliquis.

Good morning. I slept a bit this morning so it was a bit later to get to the Dr for Bruce's testing and it was GREAT, hopefully he will be told good quantity of Coumadin and not retest for at least a week. One thing we were told the other day was a small salad every day or every other day will be good for Bruce, so will be doing that, and today is salad day.

Yesterday we got my dresser moved to my bedroom and got the drawers lubed so they move easy, have one drawer that was not taken out so will unload it today so it can be lubed.

Lee, yes still waiting on the dishwasher, it is supposed to be delivered next week and we should get an email later this week or Monday about the delivery.

All have a great day.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone! Lots of chatting going on here since I popped in yesterday.

Lee - I bet you and Lu-Ann are getting all excited for your trip to finally get started. Congrats on your completion of rehab. Nice that you get a certificate for it too!

Dave - I agree that that chair is awesome. Missy was here yesterday and she pointed out that the cup holders would not hold a wine glass and would cause it to spill. I reminded her that there is no law that you can't drink with out of a 7-11 to go cup!! LOL I think I won my case. Bert & Jimmy did manage to get the sectional apart, so that makes me one step closer to getting that chair! Now we just have to find time to go to the store to check it out in person.

Kathie - Glad your shot seems to be helping. All my appointments yesterday went well., but with little results. Pulmonologist wants to talk to my primary for suggestions on what to do about not sleeping and the legs hurting so much. Nurse was right on time this time and was helpful. Now today I will have a therapy person here this afternoon.
Sorry about your choir member having covid. It's running through our family & friends too. Laurie, Ron and the kids have it, as does M&J's son in Texas. Also some friends here. All of them are fully vaxed and are suffering with very mild (mostly tired) cases. Needless to say, we aren't going anywhere near any of them.

Nancy - Glad you got the dresser moved. Bert was just waxing the bottoms of some of the dresser drawers in the bedroom where our "guests" will be staying to make them easier to open. The drawers that is and not the "guests" !! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Time to get Bert up and get his day started. Once he was sure I was all set for the moninr, he went back to bed. There's still no sound from the bedroom, so now he's going to get the roude awakening when I use the intercom. Hee Hee! That would wake anyone up.

Have a wonderful hump day, gang. Be good, stay safe, and stay warm.

This is Ava’s second trip to FL. She was there for six weeks until I could get to FL in October 2020. That was after her flight from Beijing China to JFK in NYC after stopping for fuel in Anchorage AK. Then she travelled by van to the rescue folks farm just outside of FLL.
Thanks for the safe trip wishes. We’ll check in later on from Lexington.
You all have a great, safe day!

On the road again today for Dudley Do-Right, Nell, and their trusty steeds. Safe travels for you guys.

K2; Sounds like a good idea to finish all your injections before moving on to another solution to your pain. The way you described your fireplace makes me believe it's a fire from gas jets and not firewood. Is my guess right? This highly transmissible new variant of Covid sounds like everyone will be come into contact with it in the air. Lots of luck to those people not wearing masks. That Baklava looks yummy. The mother of one of the kids I grew up with was Hungarian and she too made it.

Eliquis is another good medication, Nancy. Does Bruce have AFib? It seems that Eliquis is aimed a lot toward people that do.

One step closer to getting that lift-chair, BB. And great thinking on your part for how to use it's cup holders and still be able to drink wine. Always the teacher, using the intercom to get the attention of your "class". Hoping you survived yesterday's therapy.

With Lee on the way Bill, you too will have to share your warmth.

Hiya KC! How's about stopping by and telling me how much you still love me, Sugarplum.

Grocery shopping day. Should go pretty quickly this week. Not much on the list. I really like those Halo oranges, but I wish you could buy just a few at a time and not a whole bag of them. I don't eat them that fast.

Good morning, one and all! It looks so nice looking out the window at the lake with the sun shining brightly, but looks can fool you. Temp is in the 50s, so not that nice outside. Cappi is sitting on the bench under the window and soaking in all the sun's rays. Good for him!

I bet Lee and Lu-Ann are eating up those miles as they dream of warmer weather. Too bad we have a cold front moving in by the weekend. I guess to them the 60s will still be very pleasant.

Dave - Happy shopping. More and more people are complaining about the shelves being empty. I hope you don't run into that on any of the things you wanted to buy. I need to send Bert to Sam's to pick up a few things I need. Hopefully, they will still have them.

Kathie - Your baklava looks delicious. Very professional looking too. Enjoy it!!

Home health yesterday was pretty good. She said that she might come back again tomorrow. We went through a lot of exercises I need to do, which will really keep me busy.

Might get out this afternoon to go look for one of those chairs. I was talking to Rita last night and she told me something I didn't know - They have lady size ones and man size ones. I'll definitely keep that in mind when we go looking. There's a furniture store near the Mall at Millenia in Orlando that claims to have a number of those chairs. We shall soon see, if I get my way! I can only hope that there isn't a shortage of them or their parts. That would get me mad!!

So Bert made a pot of chili last night, under my direction, of course. It turned out pretty good, but I found out one thing - spicy food just doesn't agree with me the way it used to. Bummer! Guess I have to tone things back now in my old age!! LOL

Speaking of Bert, he's back in bed again. I wish he would just go to bed earlier, but he insists on staying up at least an hour after me. I have to let him sleep for another hour before he's ready to become human. Than it will take another hour for him to shower and get ready to face the day. What a waste!!

Time for me to get off the computer and take my collection of meds for the day. Then do some of these exercises. Have a fantastic day, everyone. Wear your mask and stay safe!

Good morning. Plan today is to help Bruce with a job in the back yard and to call the company we bought the Royal cruise with and tell them to request a full refund.

Yes, Bruce had/has AFib. The number yesterday was so good he has a decent way to take the Coumadin and not have to get another test until Feb 2.

The chair I got for Bruce does not have the cup holders as I felt they took up too much of the arm rest and he has a table next to the chair for any drinks.

The one thing I found with the dresser and the tv being on top it is high enough that the lights from the ceiling fan reflect in it so I unscrewed 3 of them and still have a decent amount of light in the room. So Bruce will se if he can find some 5 watt LED lights which should help and if that does not really work we will look for a different light fixture.

All have a great day.

Good Morning Friday GIF
Enjoy your morning coffee Wrabbits!

Dave: Happy grocery shopping. I made sure to buy enough the last tome I was shooping some can skip a week for sure.
Our FIREPLACE is GAS LOGS! Easy click of a switch and we have warmth. We had a real wood burning fireplace in the other home. It was nice, but messy to clean out the ASHES!
The gas one is nice if the power ever goes out in this house.

Pat: Hope you’re keeping up with those exercises. And sure hope you find a Lift Chair that you like. Don’t forget to ask about Medicare coverage of some of it. The Medical Supply Shoppe here in our area says with a prescription from the doctor you can get about $500 bucks off. Not sure if that works for furniture stores.

I wish I could go back to sleep like BERT does. Once I’m up it’s over for the day.

Lee: BY now you are in the USA! Welcome!
Hope the highways and freeways are snow free and not crowded with tons of “Snowbirds” rushing to Florida! Keep looking for this SIGN!

Art is off to the Heart doctor for a 1 year check up. He was told he had a “enlarged atrium” a year ago and is just following up today. ( that visit last year was from when he hit his chest with his bike handle bar. Funny that he did the SAME THING a few weeks ago. I see a pattern here!

You all have a good day. Come back and fell us how your day went! And remember we always ”leave the LIGHT ON” for our roaming Wrabbit friends!
