Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

I goofed Lee, it was a chocolate cherry cake. Fay just adds cherry pie filling to a store bought chocolate cake mix. She got a chocolate pie.
Wonder ful news for your nephew Kathie. I hope that bite gets better pretty soon.
It was a cool 92 degrees today, down to 91 now. Our 2nd daughter is very allegic to mosquito bites.
Will Alaska still be part of the US after today???????Have a good evening.
Fay and Pattie went to Costco this morning. Fay came home exhausted. I sang "The Old Grey Mare She Aint What She Used to Be. The doctor said I should be out of the hospital in a few weeks. :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

Cracking Up Lol GIF

From one dinosaur to another Mike, THAT was funny.
Chocolate Cherry cake sounds OK too! Can you eat it through the bandages?
G’night my friends.

Tv Show Television GIF by Happy Place

Gosh, I remember a long time ago when Saturday mornings meant great kids tv shows.
Quite muggy already this morning. If it’s gonna be a muggy start to the day I want that to be a “muggy” of coffee!
Behave today everyone.

“The WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE“ GOING ON TODAY. Art just left to get a good parking spot to see his BELOVED MUSTANGS in “Mustang Alley”.

Bel Air Chevrolet GIF by Off The Jacks

Mike how are your bruises coming along from your beating?? Ha Ha .

Lee: I looked forward to the cartoons on Sat mornings. Oh to be young again.

Have a good day and be careful of the HEAT & HUMIDITY.

LATER GANG.
I’m off to the Orchards to buy some more of those “pricey” Peaches. They were SO GOOD! Worth every dollar! It’s only a 15 min drive from us! I must say every time I drive out to the farms and country there is another subdivision popping up and another farm GONE. I think it’s because the original Farmer most likely has passed away and the “grown children” don’t have a interest in farming and sell the ACRES off and divide up the money.

I hope Art has a good day on Woodward! Does Ford still give the model kits to their retirees? Is Eric going with him? There is so much for Ashley to see in Venice. It was one of our favourite stops on our Med Cruise.
Only 6 red hibiscus blooms today Mike.
We got a lot done this morning. I just finished 2 1/2 miles on the treadmill. Both Canadian weather services are reporting the humidex or “real feel” at 104F! Not a soul on the street.

We got up to 92 again to day dowm to 90 now.
That is 6 hibiscus more than we have Lee.
K2, we used to go to the antique car parade every year, had to look for my old T bird.
Fay has been buying large sweet cherries, they are very good. Krogers sells out of them as soon as they get them.
Fay picked few more cherry tomatoes this evening, they aren't very sweet but much better than they were a week ago.
Have a good night.

No Ford Model Kits anymore. No T-shirts either. They were giving away those rectangular towels that you get wet and wring out and put around your neck to keep cool. Better than nothing. Both Mark & Eric were there.
He said it was a nice cruise, as usual, with lots of cool cars cruising and people watching. :crazy01:
Mike I got my new batch of peaches and they’re perfect. Also bought a cabbage, yellow peppers for stuffing with meat, cukes, lettuce, 3 large
tomatoes, a sweet onion, a small dark green watermelon, a green pepper and 2 corns. We can gwt corn real close by from a farm fresh picked everyday so I don’t buy more than a few.
Anyways, all the veggies cost $12.25, and the Peaches were $12.00 for a
1/2 peck box. (so worth that price).

I’m trying to only eat veggies and no starches or pasta, bread etc for awhile.
I still haven’t had any of the Lemon Pie. o_O
Muggy as all get out tonight. I opened the back door and it felt like I was walking into a sauna.

Our Italian Traveler will be flying home tomorrow. I don’t envy her having to spend all those hours sitting on a plane!

Have a good Sunday.
I hope our KAREN is still adding us to her prayers.

NIGHT FOLKS.

Good Sunday morning to you all.
I guess the car companies aren’t making enough $$$ to give away “good” swag to their employees both past and present Kathie. Kinda neat with the three generations of the guys being at The Cruise. Those veggies would have cost us twice that! Hard to believe that Ashley’s trip is coming to an end already!
They said we are supposed to be cooler today, Sunday, Mike. This morning there are 7 blooms on the hibiscus. But I fear the 2 of the 3 front baskets are done.
Ava and I didn’t go for our early walk. She’s a funny little thing and clearly indicated that she wanted to go in the back yard instead. I took her out and I think she knew that it was uncomfortably humid already. Seems it already feels around 90F. Cooler my butt! The all night rain they forecast never happened so the moisture is just hanging in the air.
My heart aches for my sweetheart. This hot humid weather plays havoc with her Parkinson’s meds. She just tries to smile and keep going so as not to worry me but I can see the effects. I’m sure it’s not just folks with PD whose meds act up in this weather.
Well, that said, all of you have a really great Sunday.

Sorry about the temps messing with Lu-Ann’s meds. Can’t be easy at all. She and Donna are mentioned each night in my prayers along with everyone else.
Right now I’m on the deck and there is a really steady breeze blowing. If could only stay this way all Summer.
I really need to get into the kitchen and start cleaning those yellow peppers I bought yesterday and fixing the meat to stuff them. Just too nice out here to do it!
I asked Jill if Ashley had to go to work tomorrow (Monday) and she said YUP! Since she just started the new job she was lucky to have set it up from day one that she had this trip planned and paid for and they still hired her! Hope she gets some sleep on the plane. Manny is going to be freaking out when she walks in the door later tonight!
Okay back to taking in the peace and quite of the yard. There should be somebody starting to cut their lawn any minute now. It never fails!

Get out and enjoy the break in the heat!

I was going to cut the grass but didn’t want to disturb you Kathie. ;) Oh to be young again and return from a trans Atlantic flight and go to work the next day. I’d say “those peppers will keep” but we know they won’t last long. Your prayers are appreciated as always.
We wanted to do something aside from moaning about the heat so we drove out to Viewpointe Winery on the north shore of Lake Erie for a small bite to eat and a nice cold glass of white wine. They are pet friendly so Ava was able to join us. It was a nice change.

I think our hibiscus are thru for the year Lee, hate to see that. The crepe myrtle blooms are all faded, No flowers to look at out the back window. I hope it cools down some and Lu-Ann's meds returns to normal, glad you had an enjoyable time this afternoon.
Thanks for the prayesrs K2, I could use all the help I can get. You made a big haul with your veggies and fruit and at a very good deal. I had a big dish of spaghetti for dinner today.
I sat out side for a while. Fay came out and sat with me. After about 10 minutes she said it was soo hot so we went inside. I was enjoying the heat. We have a lot of grape tomatoes on the vine but pretty sure something is eating them as sure as they ripen, maybe that darn cardinal. Have a good night.

Airplane Landing GIF by Safran
ASHLEY LANDED AT DETROIT METRO AIRPORT! Almost home. Manny will go CRAZY NUTS when she comes in the door!

I don’t envy her having to be at work at 6:00 a.m.! Yikes!
Chilled White Wine is the best! Especially at a Winery. :clap002:

Mike: Our cherry tomatoes are very few this year. I planted them too late and it didn’t warm up soon enough.

66F here at 9:30 pm Sunday. Nice change.

Lee: Ava should enjoy a a nice cool walk on Monday morning!

FYI: The peppers got stuffed and vacuumed sealed and are in the freezer for a hearty meal in the Winter months. Just need to cover them with a
tomato type sauce and bake them!
Meanwhile, I’ll buy a few more to make and enjoy during the season!

B7DE1A09-787B-4E0A-A22C-FA08F4FCA584.jpeg GOOD NIGHT WRABBITS!

59F here right now at 6:43 a.m.! Now that's the first time we've been in the fifties in a long time. Refreshing. Do not fret..... by 4pm it will be 78F. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Back later. Too early to chit chat for me.

Enjoy the morning coolness.

Well for some reason, in spite of being up at 5:30, it seems I forgot to stop by and say “Good Morning”. Maybe it’s because I was so excited at the 60F temperatures and open windows?
Ah, to be young like Ashley again. A week in Italy, a transatlantic flight, the accompanying time change and still be at work at 6:00 Monday. And throw in debriefing the family AND Manny time when she gets home. Remind me again please Kathie. What is it that Ashley does?
You’re already looking forward to hearty winter meals. I don’t know if that should concern me or not!
Another 6 hibiscus this morning Mike. I had a good look at the plant when I cut the grass this morning. There’s a few unopened buds.
Yes, after our trip to The Navy Yard and a quick stop at the grocery store to pick up something for games day I got the backyard trimmed and cut. It was a lovely 72F with a bit of a breeze. It always looks so nice when it’s freshly cut. Tomorrow morning I’ll do the front. Even trimming it shouldn’t take me more than a half hour or so. It’s supposed to start raining around 10:00 so I’ll be out “8:30” ish. It’s a work day so the neighbours will be up. Besides, my mower is battery powered and doesn’t make much noise.
Coffee? Why, yes please.
Have a good day everyone.

Fay and I sat outside for a short while. It is 86 degrees but it doesn't feel like it. We only saw one couple walking, looks like death valley our there.
Ah, to be young like Ashley again.
Ah, to be young again, I'll take middle age. It's nice you are still enjoying the flowers Lee.. we are getting a few knock out roses but nothing else. Have fun mowin your lawn.
Mike: Our cherry tomatoes are very few this year. I planted them too late and it didn’t warm up soon enough.
We got our cherry and grape tomatoes in late also but there are a lot of grape tomatoes on the vine and more than enougk cherry tomatoes for us. 59 degrees is downright cold. How is that mosquito bite????
Have a good evening

Mike the BITE left a black & Blue mark that is still there. Stopped itching and dripping!

Lee: Ashley did work for Penske doing coordination - Supply Chain Management. 4 years.

She now started to work for General Motors Orion Location ‘Dangerous Goods Subject Matter Expert. I’ll have to ask just what the heck that means in English!

Chance of rain 85% on Tues. Art’s already NOT planning on going biking.

Had our first watermelon and it was nice and sweet. It was very Round and DARK DARK Green skin. It was not a seedless. I won’t be buying that kind again even though it was sweet. Just two many tiny black seeds to pick at.

02ED386B-473D-4405-982B-0A6516A683A2.jpeg GOOD NIGHT!

Good morning.
We made it out for our early walk just ahead of the showers. It seems they are arriving shortly after 7:05. We so need the rain.
That bite looks even nastier than you described Kathie. I always wonder if a watermelon is seedless how do they keep growing them? From your description it sounds like Ashley’s experience in supply chain position led to her current dangerous goods expert designation.
I think with the forecast the mowing of the front lawn will be saved for a drier day Mike. They have started to pull some of the spring and summer flowers out of the beds at The Navy Yard.
Not much planned here today. Especially if it rains all day.
You folks all have a great day.

POURING RAIN at 10:47 am. On and off, but this looks like it’s sticking around.

Lee: Art loved the shirt! Good catch on finding that pic.
A sure sign Summer is close to ending when PLANTS are pulled from Navy Yard!
Your picture was not too big. Big is good! Looks great on my Big monitor screen.

Took a picture of this EGRET
in our creek early this morning. The other day he was up at the top of our neighbors tree! Crazy bird! Very graceful when flying!

A good day to cozy up to read the book I have handy. A bowl of Popcorn would be nice to nibble on while reading.
Pop Corn Eating GIF

Enjoy your day. Back later.

Nice picture Kathie! Egrets are such regal birds.
We went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription for Lu-Ann. We took Ava figuring if it stopped raining we could have our walk by The River. Well, that didn’t happen. It’s just pouring here and has been most of the day.
I’m glad Art liked the shirt. Their ad popped up on my news page.
