Good Morning Wrabbits!
Happy Good Morning GIF by Demic

Got up and filled the PILL BOX up with a weeks' worth of meds! Saw that I needed to get refills called in to a couple of doctors. You don't get talk to a LIVE PERSON when doing this at most of my doctors' offices. Now I just need to hope they got the request. I could do
AUTO - REFILL, but I like to have control of when I need to re-order.

So, it rained late into the morning. Stopped around 6:30 am. So far it's staying dry!
Art, hopefully, will get his groups bike ride in before the rain is supposed to start in the afternoon. Smells so nice and fresh outside. I had 3 windows open through the night and it was perfect for sleeping.

My BACK is still not behaving. Takes a couple of hours lately to WAKE UP and not punch me in the backside, then I'm basically able to move around and get things done.
Yesterday when walking around Partridge Creek Mall my back let me know it was time to
GO HOME! Good thing I'm not a big time shopper! I went home willingly. :emoticon 0136 giggle:

I have 3 RIPE BANANAS that are waiting for me in the kitchen to make Banana Bread. I make about 3 loaf pans and freeze 2 for future use. One stays on the counter for Mr ARTIE to chip away at.

We have dinner with the family for Ashley's Birthday tonight.

You all have a good day.

WELL, I did it again. Wrote this note at about 6:15 and forgot to hit “post”.
A tad damp this morning. Ava and I headed out on our early walk but she was quite uneasy. I suspect she sensed the rain in the area.
Always good to get a thumbs up from the dentist Kathie. And the “freebies”. How the heck did Ashley get to 26 years young? Where does the time go? A very Happy Birthday to her.
Yes Mike, I too hope that your seeds transplant well. I’m sure there are ample planting suggestions on “Google”.
Have you seen any much needed rain Karen?
There was quite a backlog to check in at the lab yesterday morning. All down to one dear old soul who showed up without her health card. Then she gave the girls at the desk a hard time for how long it was taking. They were trying to check her in without it. Once I got my wrist band I barely turned the corner to the lab and they called my name. From there the day got busier! I took my sweetie to breakfast at Anchor Coffee. We left there and headed to the nursery, stopping at Costco. Found Lu-Ann’s “weeping pea“ and headed home. Planted the tree and I cut the front lawn. Ava to The Navy Yard, back to Windsor for the Parkinson’s Dance class, home and about a 1/2 hour of ping pong after dinner. No wonder I dozed off during last night’s episode of Brokenwood Mysteries on Acorn TV!
Anyway, all of you fine folks have a great day!

k2. Glad you are enjoying the gourds. That is what I started, 2 have germinated.I",hoping to start some sunflower and Hibiscus seeds soon. Fay gives the kids and grandkids cash. She has done that for years. I hope you get rested. I have a good idea about your back, hope you can get some relief.
Enjoy Ashley's Birthday
Lee. I h.ope your test results are satisfafactory. I used to be pretty good at ping pong, I wona ping pong tornament in a school that I taught in years ago against much younger players. It sounds like you had a very busy afternoon.
Fay just got home with some peat pot and sunflowere seeds. We used to plant sunflowere seeds every year. most years we would get some from the seeds that fell.

Lu-Ann and I don’t play competitive ping pong Mike. It’s one of the things doctors suggest for Parkinson’s patients. We’re waiting for our hibiscus plants to come up. They always seem so late to pop up.
Today was games day and Lu-Ann and I pulled out “Boom Again”. A trivia game based on questions from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Pat suggested that trivia game a while back. It’s good fun and can be played by 8 people in two teams.
Have a good evening everyone .

I should have been clearer about playing ping pong. We just try to keep the ball in play and react to where it goes. Even if it bounces twice we try to keep it going as long as we can.

Good evening!

Mike, I too still have the little blue gourd ornament you gave me & every year it goes on the tree! Hope the seedlings transplant well!

Kathie, Happy Birthday to Ashley, how the heck do these kids grow up so fast? The crocheting is coming along slowly, I'm working on a Granny Square afghan but the arthritis in my right ring finger decided to act up again so I had to put it away for a while.

Lee, hoping you get a good test score! One good thing about posting here, even when we forget to hit submit our post is still there waiting when we come back.

We FINALLY got some much needed rain here late Sunday night early Monday morning, we could use a LOT more, but I'm happy we finally got what we did.

Worked at Jane's this morning hauling off a load of tree trimmings & then mowed her front yard. Came home & chilled for a while then met Barb at the pool, water temp is down to 84 degrees from the rain but the sun was hot so it didn't feel to bad.
Tonight was our last meeting for the Episcopal Church Women's group & it is always a dinner meeting at a local restaurant. There were probably 20 or more ladies there just wish more of them would show up for the actual meetings.

Church tomorrow morning & I'll be going early to add some fresh garden soil to one of the flower beds, then maybe make a trip to the plant nursery for some summer flowers plant in there.
Now it's time to kick back & relax a bit, have a great evening all!

Nice BUNNY Chatter on here today. :clap002:

Our Birthday dinner w/Ash and family was perfect.
Ashley liked all the gifts we got her and the "$$$" in the card!

It was a nice family evening. Now I'm out of here to catch the 11 O'clock news.
I'm getting a nice mug of warmed milk with Ovaltine in it! YUM.

A’Burg Guy

Good morning!
Wow, I didn’t know that Ovaltine was still out there Kathie! I remember, I think, it coming in a dark glass jar. Now I may have to go looking the next time we’re at the grocery. It sounds like you had a good time celebrating Ashley’s birthday.
Yes Karen, it’s almost like the “forgotten post” is there to make us go “Doh!” when we log back in. Is your ladies group just from St. Mary’s?
Did you get all the rain down your way Mike?
We’re taking our neighbours in to Windsor to try “The Twisted Apron” restaurant this morning. We had been telling them about it and they had never been so we set today to go. Of course, it may rain.
If it does rain that will dampen my plans to cut the back grass today.
Time to think about getting Ava her breakfast. She was clearly ticked off that she missed her Navy Yard walk yesterday because of the rain and games day. We’ll take her when we get back from The Apron. As long as it’s not raining.
Have a wonderful Wednesday folks.

Good Afternoon. YIKES......another morning gone forever! Time fly's when we're busy.. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: or is that suppose to say "having fun". :emoticon 0105 wink:

Lee: If you hurry you can get that GRASS CUT. The sun just showed up over here in our neighborhood, but it's HUMID outside and supposed to rain later.
Hope your neighbors enjoy the restaurant. :)

I got my bills in order and am here on the bigger monitor getting ready to enter them into the banks "bill pay" system. Love saving money on STAMPS and writing out checks.

Karen: I listened to Rev Lisa today and at first I thought she was getting "Political", but then it all came together and that wasn't the case.

You all get outside and take in some FRESH AIR if you can and enjoy the day,
that means you MIKE and Fay too!

Kathi Allen, if you're reading along please hop on and tell us how things are going for you. Miss your photos that you would post for Dave. Take care and know we think of you and Dave often. :heartbeat:

The Twisted Apron was a hit! Daniel and Sara both enjoyed it as did Lu-Ann and I. On the way home we drove back along the Windsor waterfront. Beautiful pathways and sculptures all along the way. We took Ava to her Navy Yard and when we got home. I did get the back grass cut and bagged. Right you are Kathie. It’s getting pretty warm and humid.
Tomorrow morning I’d like to be at Home Depot shortly after they open. I ordered some black slate for the front garden. If it’s not raining I can get it down and still have time to get Lu-Ann and Ava to The Navy Yard before we head to our PD meeting in Kingsville. My old high school mate’s wife is the facilitator and we told Dan and Leslie we’d be there.
I hope you’re all having a fantastic day.

It is sunny now after a rainy and cool mornng. Our tulip poplar tree is starting to bloom along with our knock out roses. I may get on the lawn tractor tomorrow and look things over.
Glad you had an enjoyable time Lee.
I hope to get outside K2, want to get some seed starter that is in the shed and planat some sunflower seeds. I'm going to ask Michael to order me some hydrangia seeds from Amazon. He has AMazon prime
Kc, nice to know that you are enjoying the little gourds, hoping to get around 100 more this year but will be satisfied with just 20.
Have a good time in Kingsville Lee.

LEE.... are you sure you haven't been cloned and are now a KAREN C.?? You made me tired just reading all that you did today. You're like the "Every Ready Battery" guy! Ha Ha. Better to be busy than not!!

Mike: Do you have a "Helmet" you can wear while on that Lawn Tractor. Please be safe. Make sure that FAY is close by!!

Good Morning Wrabbits!
It’s sunny, humid and going to be 81F by 3:00 pm here. Too hot for me, but better than snow! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
You all behave and have a nice day. I have 3 RIPE Bananas that need to be made i to a Banana Nut Bread. Hate to turn on the oven, but hate to just throw away these bananas!
Later.

I bet the reward of a home filled with the smell of fresh banana bread makes turning the oven on worthwhile Kathie. I only wish I had our Karen’s energy! What a nice compliment. Thank you.
After we all had breakfast we headed to The Navy Yard for a stroll. It was quite busy even at 9:30. When we got home we spread the 200 pounds of slate in the front. Then I cut the front yard before it got, like in Kathie’s area, feeling like the mid to upper 80’sF. Too hot for me. I’ll grab a shower and we’ll head to Kingsville for the meeting.
We took three hydrangea shrubs out of the front Mike. They just never did well. That’s where we put the weeping pea.
How did your church gardening go Karen?
OK, I’m going to finish my coffee and get my butt in gear.
Have a good rest of the day.

Good afternoon, decided I'd better get busy posting before I got side tracked again, seems to happen a lot lately!

Kathie, you're making me hungry with your fresh banana bread! Glad Ashley liked all her gifts, buying for the grown up grandkids/kids/nieces is a challenge for sure!

Lee, sounds like a nice day trip with your friends yesterday. I don't believe I've ever heard of black slate for a front yard, is it like mulch? Time for a google trip I guess. And yes, the ladies at the dinner Tues. night were only from St. Mary's.

Mike, growing hydrangea's from seed sounds like a lot of work, I like "instant" garden flowers. I do shop the clearance section at Walmart, Home Depot & Lowes, a lot of times I can pick up some nice plants that just need a little extra love for a cheap price.

Got 5 bags of soil put in the flower bed at church yesterday morning, then cleaned up changed clothes & made it in time for the 10:30 service. After church ended up going out to breakfast with Pat & Pamela, we hadn't done that in a while.
Tomorrow Carmen, (the lady in charge of the flower gardens at church) and I are going to go looking for flowers for the bed I just refreshed.

Jane is coming over in a little bit to cut Barb's hair & trim mine, I'm letting it grow out for a little while but it's starting to look pretty shaggy. Then of course we will be heading to the pool. And that's about it from Belleview, hope you all have a great day!

Banana Bread looks and smells good.Nice I was able to have the windows-open and the slider open too. No WIND - No POLLEN! :clap002:
Karen you sure put in your time sprucing up the church grounds. They’re so lucky to have you as a parishioner. How long does it take you to drive there from your house?
Enjoy the pool! Oh….and I bet your hair looks nice with the trim!
Lee: We need a picture of the Black Slate! Like Karen asked….it this like a mulch and the Color is Black Slate?
Okay…everybody can have a slice! Ha ha. Hope it tastes good and is moist!

Kathie, the church is about 1-1/2 miles from my house, depending on traffic it usually takes less than 5 mins. to get there. I purposely looked for a church close to my house so I could be active in it
Banana bread looks delish!

K2-Mich

Wacky Wabbit
Good for you Karen on doing research for a church close to home! If I became a Catholic or Lutheran I could “Almost” walk to them. Too late in life to be doing that! Ha ha.

I froze one of the Banana breads and then cut the bigger ne in half and froze 1/2 of it. Otherwise, Art would have one of them gone ASAP! I should have him make this B-Bread and see if it would slow him down! I doubt it.

All the windows are open, ceiling fans are on. Tonight any time from
11:00 - 2:00 am we’re suppose to get severe storms. Wind, rain, hail and they said possible tornado! I bet the CREEK out back will be rising.

I didn’t do any planting because of the fear of the storm destroying them. I pulled all the front porch plants close to the door.

Going outside to check if I need to bring anything into the garage.

Is that banana bread I smell Kathie? Well slice me a piece and slather it with butter! Join me in a piece with coffee Mike?
IMG_1198.jpeg
Yes, the slate is used like mulch. I have to rinse the new stuff and it will be black like the older slate in the picture. Lu-Ann’s weeping pea is in the back left corner.
Somebody just stopped by…It’s Kathie getting ready to batten down the hatches. We’re supposed to get thunderstorms between 10 pm and 2 am as well. That may rinse the slate for me.
Have a good evening my friends.
