Spot on Mike! After Ava and I had our walk by the river I came home and got the front grass cut. I have a full yard waste bag to put out! I capped my morning off with, you guessed it, a coffee.
When Lu-Ann got home I put on my shorts and we went for a walk along the river through The Fort. Just a beautiful afternoon.

I know Karen was hoping to cut back on screen time but it’s not like Kathie to pop on and say “hi”. Ya, I know. I worry too much…

Hi Gang!
Busy today.

I called the hospital this morning and they had a cancellation and I got a
7:15 pm appt for my MIR! It paid to call and ask if they had a better time than NEXT week at 10:30PM! Yippee.

I’m about to get checked in.
Later gang.

Beautiful day today!

I’m in Pink Scrubs and waiting my turn! I’m the only one in this room right now.

Lee: Sounds like you had a swell day. It sure was beautiful!
I bought a potted hanging plant today for the front porch. I’m going to take it out of the hanging pot and put it in a bigger pot that is on the front porch. Not spending a lot on flowers this year. They’re outrageous in price. Way worse than last year. I don’t know where these stores think we’re getting our money from to pay the high prices. And the darn TARIFFS haven’t even started. Duh!

Mike: I hope Fay bought you a treat while she was out shopping! :)

Karen: Hello to you. I’m wondering if you started to paint those metal chairs yet!
Not sure if a brush or a spray can would be better!

Talk more tomorrow. Gotta go!

Sorry for the small print.

Good that you’re done with the MRI Kathie. I hope they can determine something and more importantly come up with some relief for you. Yes, flowers are just stupid expensive. Lu-Ann got 2 hanging baskets and one small pot and it was $100!!! We sit the hanging pots in plant stands. It adds a little colour to the front of the house.
Have a good evening everyone.

When I was finished getting that MRI.... I went to the 5th floor and saw my lifetime friend from church. We've known each other since we were 3 yrs old.
He's in the hospital on IV antibiotics for a WOUND on the heal of his GOOD FOOT. Yes, he had the other leg amputated a few years back and now if the antibiotics and surgery Monday to do debridement of the infection doesn't work, he may have to have this leg amputated too.
He's diabetic, way overweight too. All kinds of things going against him.

Makes my backache seem like childs play.

Take care of yourselves, folks. I'm off to bed. It's been a long day.

A huge flash of lightning followed by a clap of thunder jolted most people out of bed just around 6:00 this morning. Me? I was already up. Ava? She must have known it was going to storm because she’s still in bed. Hopefully Lu-Ann is still asleep or got back to sleep.
I’m so sorry to hear about your friend Kathie. You are so right about trying to take care of ourselves. What is frustrating is when those people who do take care of themselves get saddled with a disease or condition that changes their lives and the lives of those around them.
Well, aren’t we off to a cheery thought this Thursday morning.
The wind is coming up so I best go make sure the plants didn’t blow over! Everyone have a wonderful day.

New Pope GIF
There is a new POPE. Now to find out WHO he is!
Happy for the Catholic Christians.

I wish All ELECTIONS could be this easy and without all the expense of the ones in the USA!

Got the results of my MRI on my Portal this morning. Great views of my back!! Ha Ha. I don't have a clue what they mean. I can't figure out the written transcript either.

I need to go back to medical school and brush up on MRI films! I might have skipped out to go to the beach when I was supposed to be in class. :emoticon 0136 giggle:;)

I have nothing more right now, other than it's COLD OUTSIDE AGAIN. 50F Brrr.

Enjoy your day folks.

Will you be using the great images of your back for Christmas Cards Kathie?
We saw that the new Pope, Leo XIV, was an American. Reports indicate that he is progressive and will carry on the work of Pope Francis.
Is there no good time to go to Costco? A little after 9:00 the parking lot was already full and the store was jammed! Anyway, we got what we needed, got out and headed home. I managed to get the back grass cut and am currently enjoying a glass of red wine with my sweetie.
I hope you are all having an equally nice day.

Good afternoon, in order to keep myself occupied & off the computer or cell phone I've taken up crocheting again. Not totally sure that's going to be a better substitution as I sit for hours crocheting until my eyes are crossed & my fingers cramped. Not that I'm that good at it, half that time is spent pulling out & redoing my work, but I'm getting there.

Kathie, good for you on calling & getting an earlier MRI appointment, squeaky wheel get's the grease! Diabetes is a cruel disease!
I will be spray painting the chairs, but I'm going to wait for a while & just stack them in the back corner of my patio for now

Lee, have a glass of wine for me as well! I bet the rice crispy treats were a hit for game day, I haven't had them in ages.

Mike, I'm with Fay on shopping, I used to be able to go out & shop all day, now if I need to go to more than 1 store I put it off as long as possible!

Had our early Mother's Day yesterday with Wendy, got to spend a couple hours in the pool it was nice & hot & sunny!
Worked at Jane's a little bit this morning, wanted to get more done but we got side tracked with her teaching me a new crochet stitch. Oh well, there is always next week.
That's about all the excitement from Belleview, still no rain, they keep showing it in the forecast but it never makes it to us. Have a great evening all!

I wonder if the art of crochet is becoming a lost one Karen? I remember my Grandma and Mom used to crochet beautiful afghans. You rarely see them around anymore. A shame really.
I enjoyed a wee dram of wine for you. I’m only here to help.

It is cloudy and the temps are falling fast. I was going to sit out side for a while but changed my mind/
Fay use to make afghans years ago and we still use the ones she made.
Lee. if it isn't too late, I'll join you with a glass of wine, If is too late, I'll drink a glass by myself.
Karen;, a day in the pool sounds great. glad you got to spend time in the pool.
K2, Hope your MRI went well and nothing serious showed up and glad you got a better time.
My SIL is a devout Catholic, I will ask him how he feels about the new Pope/ He was commision to do a painting of a Pope year ago.

Never too late Mike!
That’s quite an honour to be commissioned to do a painting of a Pope.
As bright as it is it has been a cool day here. But I’ll take the sun over clouds any day.

Mike: Did your SIL ever finish the painting?

Just saw that Lee popped on for a second. Hello there. How was the WINE?

I made something totally new today.... Cheese Crackers from an 8 oz piece of Irish White Cheddar cheese that we've been slicing away slowly. Thought it was time to try something different with it. Well, it turned out rather yummy. I need to perfect the THICKNESS a little next time. I rolled it as thin as I thought I could, but it really needed to be even THINNER.
Next time I'll try the Pasta roller machine that I gave to Ashley & Jill to use.
The crackers were actually very tasty and would go with a nice glass of deep Red Wine. ;)

Not sure my X-Rays would look that great on X-Mas Cards Lee. And I've given up on sending cards lately. At over $.61 cents (not sure what it cost for a stamp these days) it's just too expensive.

Karen: I'm so happy you're taking up crocheting. What are you making if I may ask? Jill actually does knitting at times in the Winter. She made some nice Baby Blankets for Baby shower gifts.

Okay, I need to move on here. You all have a good evening.

I’m sure glad I popped the plants in the garage last night! It’s only 36F but feels like 32F! We should see the mid 60’s under bright sunny skies.
Mike, it doesn’t matter when he was commissioned to do the painting, it is still quite an honour! He must be very talented.
Those cheese crackers sound like the perfect accompaniment to a nice glass of red wine Kathie. Ray from “Just Cork It“ called last evening. Our batch of Cabernet Sauvignon is ready. We’ll pop down on Saturday to bottle it. I know what you mean about the cost of cards and stamps!
The price of a Hallmark card is ridiculous and then at least a dollar for the stamp. We rely on American Greetings e-cards now. I think we pay $30 for a two year “membership“ which allows us unlimited and personalized cards. That’s about the cost of 5 nice cards and stamps.
Being Friday Lu-Ann is off with the ladies for their Friday coffee and gab. They rotate weekly through the shops in town.
I’ll say “hi” to Karen before I wish all of you a good, safe day.

Hey there Wrabbits. I don't know how the day got away from me, but it did! DUH. I'm still trying my best to catch it! (Had to say that before Lee or Mike jumped in on it) Ha Ha

Need to get myself together and remember that today is only FRIDAY and NOT Saturday. I have some things to get at the grocery store and tomorrow I'm going to pick up an Antipasto Salad for the Mother's Day combo Mark/Jill's 29th Anniversary. They opted NOT to go out and we'll be doing Pizza's on their new outdoor Pizza Oven. We all get to put on our own tops on dough that Jill will have ready for us. What a great daughter we have. Simple and fun.

Last thing we all would want to do is go to a restaurant on a Holiday and have to choose from a set menu and pay a lot more than normal. (whatever 'normal' is these days)

You all have a good evening.

Karen:
Double crochet and then single crochet into the back loop of the first chain! Ha Ha.

knitting GIF
Enjoy!
