Kathie, Hansel is doing well, today is his 14th Birthday! The vet has Jane cooking "people" food for him for the next month and Jane said he's loving than & cleans his bowl every time.

Mike, I'll take driving thru Cinici over driving Atlanta every time. I always loved driving thru there when we lived in Ohio, if we were headed south it meant vacation had begun, and when headed north we knew home wasn't far away. I'll take a cup of decaf with my cookies, thanks

Lee, for the miles you traveled & the service done I guess it's not totally unreasonable cost, but still Yikes! I like Cracker Barrel pancakes too, had some last week with Barb. I'm like you in using garbage bags, today's can's were from the yard trimmings, we have a community dumpster & once a week or so I will take my kitchen trash can down & empty it into that. I keep the bag until it gets a hole in it because nothing wet or smelly ever goes in it. Most kitchen trash goes in the compost bin

K2, do you use melatonin (sp) evry night or just once in a while. When Fay uses any kind of sleeping pill she wakes up the next morning feelling terrible

Yep, we’re not in Kansas anymore Toto! Well, OK,we’re not in Florida anymore. A little below freezing and windy! At least we didn’t get the snow they were calling for. Ava was all eager to go for her early walk. Until we got outside! She did what she had to do, turned around and headed home. We’re usually out for about 30 minutes. This morning it was 8!
Fortunately Mike, the Subaru dealer in Windsor clearly posts their prices for their scheduled services. I knew going in the price of this visit. There is only one higher fee for service and that comes at 100,000 km which is about 62,000 miles.
It’s a rock and a hard place for Fay. She needs something for a good night’s sleep but it leaves her “off” in the morning. Give her a hug for me. Oh, OK. You can have one too.
As a matter of fact, you can all have a hug. They seem to make most people, me included, feel better. And no, the attractive young receptionist at the Subie dealer did NOT give me a hug when I paid my invoice.
Off to the pharmacy later on to pick up some renewals. Maybe we’ll get a quick walk in by the river. I bet the squirrels have missed Lu-Ann.

Good (early) morning Wrabbits.

I've been up earlier than usual ........ got that dreaded call that my dear Sister-in-law, Joan, passed earlier this morning. May she finally rest in peace.

I'll be out of the loop for a few days once I know when the funeral arrangements are for Joan. I know my nieces have everything lined up, so it should be soon.

We have a viewing tonight here for my Godfather's daughter and funeral tomorrow. When it rains it pours, as the saying goes.

Lee: I don't blame Ava for coming back home so quickly during her walk. It's horribly WINDY here and some kind of sleet going on. 27F now.

Mike to answer your question about the Melatonin sleeping pill. I do not take it every night. Depending how I feel I usually take a 1/2 of a pill and I don't feel groggy in the morning. I just need something at times to shut down the "brain" from reviewing the entire day over and over and not being able to sleep. The kind of Melatonin I take is the chewable kind. I get it at Costco.

Karen: Hope you had a good showing for the service last night and lots of singers. Bless you for embracing your church and all you do for it.

OH NO.......So sorry that Dave is back in the hospital again. If they would just keep him longer perhaps he'd be able to get better. DAMN I HATE THIS for both Dave & Kathi.

Had lunch with my uncle from Ohio, his wife, Wendy & my sisters today. We sat out on the dock over the water, sun was warm but the wind off the lake from COLD! Still had a nice visit in spite of the chill. This is our last remaining Uncle on my Dad's side

I started this about 5:00 and just now got back to it. Have I ever told you I am easily distracted. '
I mentiond t he melatonin to Fay K2, she will get some of the chewables the next time she goes to Costco. Sorry for your losses.
Dave, try to hang in there, I know it is tough, we will be thinking about you. Kathi, this has to be hard on you, please take care of your self.

Another cold start to the day. Ava and I had a shorter walk this morning.
Lu-Ann and the ladies are meeting for coffee at 10:30. They had just started their Friday coffee get togethers when we left for FL. They alternate between the two nicer coffee / bakery shops in town. Me, I’m getting a much needed haircut.
We’ll try to get Ava to The Navy Yard before then. Not a squirrel in site yesterday!
Keeping all of you, as always, in my thoughts today.

Went to the 1st visitation tonight. The choir sang responses to the service.
Friday morning service in church.

SIL’s funeral is next week. Visitation on Tues and funeral on Wednesday. Art and I will be driving with my brother and sister in law that live close by to us.

Got to see Jill tonight and gave her some of the Choc Chip cookies I made The other day. In turn she gave us 4 bags of Downey’s Chips! Not bad!!
KAREN that’s one fantastic family picture. Sorry it was windy/chilly. Nice looking group. How was the food & drinks at this place?

I want to thank all of you for the condolences for my SIL Joan. Also, for letting me post so much about everything. You all are the BEST of the BEST.
Glad I can call you family all these years. Love you all.

Hi Kathie. I’ll have to show Lu-Ann that photo. She wakes up in the middle of the night and reads for, sometimes, a couple of hours or more. I feel so bad for her. At least I wake up between 4:30 and 5:30 most mornings But sleep through the night.
Nobody around here sells Downey‘s Kettle Chips Kathie. Once all of this nonsense between our countries stops we’ll have to pop over to the Waterford area and pick some up!
Holy Cow, I’ve gotta get going. My hair appointment is at 11:00!

FYI: Still can’t get “A” password to work for my E-mail & Facebook Accts.
I could care less about Facebook, but my email acct has pictures, videos, messages, etc, etc in files.
You can’t talk to anyone at Microsoft and the loops to retrieve or make a new password is unreal. If you try to many times and fail you have to wait
24 hrs to try again! Thffff!
I need to find a REAL LIVE PERSON that can tell me if any of the files can get downloaded and then put into a totally new account.
oh well, there are bigger things in life to be concerned about.
