Checking in to see if there is any news on Dave, & ditto what Lee & Kathie said, people are amazed when I tell them about our group & how long we've been chatting together.

There was an actual CROWD at choir tonight, 13 of us were there for practice, Brian was thrilled to see so many people back, now hopefully we can stay healthy for a while!

Good morning!
Guess who slept in this morning? If you call 5:57 “sleeping in”.
So here we are. Laundry, pack and tidy day. Looking at the weather last night it “should” be a good drive home. I thought it funny that the temperatures at one point yesterday were, as you headed north, 10 degrees lower at each destination. Kissimmee was 71F, Atlanta 61F, Florence 51F and Amherstburg 41F.
Enjoy your visitors Mike!
That’s a great jump in choir numbers Karen. I‘m sure it takes the pressure off of everyone.
Did you get to your biscotti Kathie? I enjoy making it. Both sweet and savoury. As long as it’s dunkable it’s all good.
All right Dave. Enough lallygagging in hospital. You get yourself better and home.
Speaking of coffee…I’m sure I heard someone mention coffee…I may just fire up a cup.
Have a grand day everyone.

Lee & Lu-Ann: A bitter sweet day for you two packing up and getting ready to hit the road home. Thanks for taking us along in your vacation! Hope Disney Springs can survive without you there. :emoticon 0105 wink:

This is the back road into Windsor Palms that we have called home for the past three weeks. If you zoom in that’s our house at the end of the street. OK, I’m lyin’ like a cheap rug covering fake news. That’s the clubhouse.
Subie is fuelled up and ready to go. Last load of laundry is in the dryer. We’ve figured out what clothes we need to pack in the hotel bag for the temperature drops as we head north. I’ll pack what I can this evening so only that hotel bag will have to go onboard in the morning. Yes, I promise to check in nightly from Atlanta GA, Florence KY and home on Monday.
Keepin’ Dave and Kathi in our thoughts too Kathie. What kind of biscotti?
Be good folks.

Kathi Allen: As usual THANK YOU for the update.
Grumpy is a good sign that he‘s getting better. Glad they
are keeping him a few more days. Beats running around to
doctors office to check things. Let it be taken care of in the hospital.
TAKE CARE KATHI.

A bit grumpy :)
How would we know the difference Kathi. LOL.
Thank you so much for the update. He’s missed. How are you doin’?
Mmmmm. Pecan Bourbon biscotti do sound yummy!
Just got out of the pool for the last time this trip (Fingers crossed). Towels and suits are in the laundry. The housekeeper certainly isn’t going to have a lot to do when they get here tomorrow!

Wow.... what a day. First Washington B.S. and now I thought my computer died on me.

I think losing my laptop computer would have "almost" been a worse tragedy! Ha Ha.
I called Hewlett Packard, and a VERY NICE gentleman helped me get it to turn back on. Whew.

I'm off to get a glass of RED WINE and then try and catch the 10 O'Clock news and go to bed. I've had enough stress for one day.

Lee & Lu-Ann please drive safely on the way home. NO SPEEDING or ROAD RAGE. Here from you soon. :emoticon 0152 heart::canada:

Safe travels Lee & LuAnn, toot the horn as you pass thru Belleview on I-75 & I'll wave from the front porch!

Kathi, thank you for the update on Dave, tell him we miss him & hope he's back with us soon. And please, PLEASE take care of yourself, being a caregiver is very draining and it's easy neglect yourself!

Mike, what was last nights dessert of choice with the Tierneys?

Kathie, omg, that pecan bourbon biscotti sounds delish! Wish I had a couple to dip in my coffee right now!

Never turned the computer on at yesterday, I was at the church from 9:30 in the morning until 7:30 last night helping cook & clean for our Mardi Gras dinner. There were 3 of us standing at a regular kitchen size stove browning chicken & sausage & sautéing onions, peppers & celery to put in jambalaya for 100 people! Talk about a Math lesson! The recipe we had made 8 servings so everything had to be multiplied by 12 and then divided by 5 based on the number of pots we had to put all the ingredients in for the finished dish, by the time we got all the meat, veggies, & rice cooked & in the pots to simmer we had about 45 mins. till the doors opened at 5 to serve. Luckily I was working with my friends Pat, Pamela & Colleen and we made it thru the project still friends. I think Pat's recipe was wrong in the original servings because we had soooo much jambalaya leftover we could have cooked half as much and still had plenty!
Today is a pretty slow do nothing day, need to go get some grass seed to plant in the bare spot where I took out the 2 bushes on Thurs, (another dumb move) and pick up a birthday card for Pamela. Then it's watch TV & chill!

SAFE TRAVELS Lee & Lu-Ann!

Karen: You truly are a SAINT for doing all that cooking. Trust me, I worked in our church hall kitchen for our choir events that served 350 people and it's CRAZY! BLESS YOU FOR MAKING IT WORK! Get in that tub of yours and soak the day away! :emoticon 0140 rofl:

What happened in Washington yesterday was despicable. I watched a YouTube video of the ENTIRE event, not just the screaming part, and it was building up from the moment Pres Zelenskyy shook hands at the front door of the White House. Our so-called Pres T greeted him with a "I see you're all dressed up today"! And then proceeded to shout it out so the PRESS could hear him. Then inside the Oval Office for the press meeting a reporter shouted out a question to him, right in the room mind you, "DO YOU EVEN OWN A SUIT". Lord help us if this is how we treat people these days. So sad.

Okay, moving on.................................................
I now have ART'S Runny Nose Cold. It's not a ache and headache type cold with chills etc. It's just a blow your NOSE COLD that will make the Tissue company rich by the end of the next few days. I took a hot shower last night and used VICKS and a hand towel around my neck pinned in place and went to bed. Still drippy this morning, but not as congested.

And to think I wear a mask in the grocery stores. Oh well, this too will pass.

Kathi please take care of yourself while running around to the hospital tending to Dave. Give him our HELLO's. We miss him big time.

Church elections today, but I'm not going to be there. No use spreading germs. And singing in choir is not going to happen either.
Always Something!

Have a good day all. Look forward to coming back here tonight to see how our TRAVELERS did.

It's SATURDAY! Not Sunday. Ha Ha. Yup, I really do have a cold!

I wondered why our Karen was taking a day off and just resting instead of going to church! :emoticon 0140 rofl: :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Okay folks, glad I got that straightened out.
I can just see TONY and BB (Pat) laughing their heads off for my mistake! ;):sign missu: two big time.

Have a safe trip Lee. Thanks for the pic , I thought the building was you house when I first saw it but now I realize it's to small. If you drive backing up to Can. do you think you can fool the temps for 1/2 the trip. That way you will be bringing Fl. temps to fairfield??????
Thanks for the update Kathi, take good care of yourself.
Maybe your choir will stay full now Kc

I'm off to get a glass of RED WINE Just a glass K2;)

Some times I think I'm losing it, I typed the above yesterday evening, this is happening more and more.
I wouldn't worry K2, I get my days mixed up also, come to think about it, start worrying. I think that entire episode was planned to make frump look tough.
I hope you start to feel better soon.
I hope you are having a pleasant drive Lee Lee, Lu-Ann and Ava, if you would like to stop here we would lo ve to see you.
Karen, tierneys brought small individual bundt cakes, chocolate for Tom and me and strawberru gluten free for Fay and herself. I don't know about Fay's and Charlottes but mine was delicious

can't find the reply post button. found it.

Here we are! Patiently waiting for our beloved 5:30 kickback to start at The Drury Atlanta Airport. We pulled out of the Panera on 192 at 08:00 am. Like the Swiss railway we were right on schedule. We got in a bit ago after 71/2 hours on the road including lunch and stretch stops. I walked Ava, got our stuff up to the room and now I can sit for a second or three. Were hoping to be underway tomorrow at 8:00 to beat the crazy Atlanta traffic on our way to Florence, KY.
That sounds like a real course in math gymnastics to get the food all figured out and prepped Karen! Well done to all of you.
The Bundt cakes sound good Mike. It seems like you always have a nice visit with Tom and Charlotte.
It must pi$$ your moron of a, nah, he’s not worthy of being called a leader…Anyway, that more people around the world support and respect President Zelenskyy more than they ever will him Kathie. I hope you’re following your own advice and drinking LOTS of water.
HI Dave! And Kathi.
Well, that’s about it from here.
Good Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise we’ll see you all tomorrow from Florence.

20F here at 10:05 pm Sat.

Good to hear from you Lee. Hope the Drury's wine hour didn't disappoint.

I'm feeling much better, but this darn NOSE DRIPPING at it's own will is driving me nuts.
And YES, I'm trying to get a little extra WATER in me. Funny because I have a Urologist annual appt tomorrow after noon. And you all know they want a "sample". Ha Ha. I have no issues, you just have to see the Dr once a year to be able to get the prescription refills. CRAZY. We'll just sit and ask each how's things! DUH!

Karen: Say a few extra prayers for all of us tomorrow and especially Dave.

My 88 yr old Sister-in-law is not doing good. She's on 3 times a week dialysis, had Covid and was in and out of the hospital 3 time in Dec. Life's been hard on her ever since my brother had his stroke and passed 7 yrs later. She did get good news that her Auto Accident has finally come to an agreement on what she will get. Too bad she's in such bad shape now.
Moral to the story is don't SAVE TOO MUCH.....you'll never spend it.

Can't talk about the MORON T-man anymore. He's beyond my time. The world is starting to shut down on him and he continues to CUT USA BENEFITS. Bast&ard. Ooops did I say that, yup I did.

Mike: Your desserts sounded yummy.

Good night all.

I took another one of my HOT showers and now it's time for VICKS! It does the trick.

KATHI: Thanks for the heads up.
Sometimes I wonder why they send somebody home so fast.

Give our LOVE and CONCERNS to DAVE.
Please take care of yourself during all this. :emoticon 0115 inlove:
