Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Just talking out loud on here and then going to bed.
I know you’re not suppose to give in to your enemy, but I must say I fear what might happen at the inauguration Jan 20th. What happened at the US Capital has my stomach in knots every time the TV is on a news station. More and more new videos and pictures are showing up. It’s so unreal to think all of this REALLY HAPPENING? I’m old and basically on the way out in my life-spand, but all of our children and dear grandchildren have decades to live and I FEAR for their lives and sanity. The T man has instilled his selfish and ugly language and thinking into the MOB leaders and followers. These people have nothing to do but demonstrate because of the Corona virus since most are out of work. They’re losers of the election and afraid Biden will turn the tables on them when the CIRUS That is RUNNING THINGS NOW NOW LEAVES Washington. It won’t be a comedy act running things anymore.
I’m fearful for the Biden's and all the others that will be seated on the inauguration stage.
The best thing I saw today on TV was Biden saying he finally found something he and T-man agreed on......It was a memo saying he would NOT be attending the swearing in ceremony. Biden said he was glad he wasn’t showing up, because he DIDN’T want him there. Amin.

Okay, I‘ll stop my ranting for now. Gotta get up early to drive across town to the dentist.

BB: Hope you had a good night at home in your own bed. Slow down and take good care of yourself.

Be safe All.
Dave: I won’t be wearing my Red T-shirt anymore. Just not worth the risk of somebody decking me. Perhaps you should retire your shirts too.

Good morning.
Great graphic Karen. It made me smile.
I can’t wait to show that video to Lu-Ann Kathie. We are sad that we are not headed south and will miss our trips to Disney Springs. Not to mention missing seeing friends.
I think that Arnie’s video went viral shortly after he released it Tony. We, like you for your pups, know their “tells”. 12 1/2 year young Bear always goes to the back door when he wants out. But as he ages he sometimes needs an earlier morning break. 10 year young Katie will come and get our attention and look at the door. Baby Ava at almost 2 is learning from Bear. Her other tell is that she starts pacing from the family room to the door and back.
I didn’t think of your post as a rant Kathie. You expressed a concern, dare I say a fear, that many, many good and decent American’s have. Not only for themselves, their children and generations beyond but also for President elect Biden and Vice President elect Harris. Hell, we live across the river and I too am concerned for my cyber families and friends. Times are very uncertain in America right now. This virus isn’t helping any of us. We can only hope that collectively good will prevail. It’s good for you to open up about things like the current situation. Maybe, just maybe, one other person will read that and know that they are not alone in their feelings.
I'll be back later to see how you’re all doin‘.
But in the meantime, wash your hands a lot and keep your hands away from your face. Even if you did just wash them. Which makes me wonder how I’m supposed to wash my face if I’m supposed to keep my hands away from my face?

Good Monday morning Bunnies.

Welcome back to our humble little hutch, BB. It's a good thing you had that Covid vaccination seeing as they temporarily put you in a Covid ward. You've been missed. Happy that you didn't have anything really serious.

You beat me to it K2, I too was going to post that video of Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's a bit long, 7 minutes, but something I think you all should see. Quite a historical comparison.

I also stand corrected on your sick neighbor. I had thought he was standing and talking to you just on the other side of your window.

Lots of games over the weekend. Have you ever noticed that sure there's some overplayed commercials during the games but overall there are better commercials during the NFL games. YEA BROWNS!

Kathi picked up her new smart phone yesterday. Some Galaxi something or other. Not the top of their line, but still costs a fortune. SOMEHOW I can survive in this life with just my Jitterbug flip-phone.

Good morning, gang! Taking it nice & slow and doing my best to stay out of the kitchen, except for making coffee, that is.

I have a question about this cot sleeping for me. As the cyber family matriarch I am entitled to the biggest bed around with all the bells and whistles that go with beds today. I also deserve a throne (and I don't mean in the bathroom either!) to hear your wishes after you kiss my .... ring! So let's see about readjusting the hutch. Jeez, I was only gone a couple of days and already people were rearranging things to suit themselves.

That video of Arnold's is fantastic and should be made required viewing for all high school students from now on. I saw it right after he posted it and after it ended, all I could say was WOW!

Tell you what kind of area we live in. On TV in the hospital they have faux news, CNN, but no MSNBC! CNN was better than nothing, but I was really missing Rachael Friday evening.
Another example of this area - Last Thursday (after the activity in DC the day before) we happened to pass a gun store in the boonies. The parking lot had about 20 cars in it which is about max. These people are so into their guns. Jimmy was telling us just last week that they can't keep anno in stock, and as soon as an comes in, it is bought. He knows one guy in Texas that has 50,000 rounds for one particular gun, plus others similarly prepared. Tell me this isn't a sick nation after what the orange turd released his demented mind on these weak people. Makes me as sick and worried as you are Kathie and everyone else around here.

Lee - I keep forgetting to mention that the Mecum auction is back in town, but due to the virus, changes have been made. Only those who have been certified as bidders are allowed in the bidding tent. Everyone else has to watch the bidding on large screens outside of that area. They are apparently allowed to wander and look at the cars in the other various tents, as far as I can see. Wish we got the auction on our TV. I really do like to watch it.

Just about time to grab something for lunch, so I'm going to feed the inner me. After hospital food, anything here will taste good. So all you good people take care and stay safe. Love you all! :)

Yeah! Sears tech will be here shortly. This is after scheduling an appointment 2 days in the past week. I really need that washer back. I'm running out of clean clothes and I don't want to upset Tony by running out and buying more new clothes! :D

Had a nice chat with Rita earlier. Can't wait to see this place they are staying at. Sounds beautiful!

Time to go wait for Rafael to get here and get this show on the road!:)

K2, I too didn’t see your post as a rant. I have exactly the same fears. The current videos of the insurgence show that much more violence going on than appeared in last Wednesday’s coverage.

Now Milania is siding with the insurgents in her speeches. Don’t make the mistake of blaming trump for pressuring her to post. She has a brain and can use it. She’s a big part of the cult.

BB, look in K2’s cubicle and you will find your king size bed. I would be willing to exchange my big bed for the cot if you would like.

I am proud of our group. We all picked up on the evils of trump four years ago and kept it going. It caused us to lose cruise critic, but that says a lot more about them than us.

All is good over here.
Dentist appt went smoothly. I thought today he was going to finish things up, but he said he wants to give it 2 weeks to make sure all 3 roots are accepting the filler he jammed in them. He’s very though and precise. Thank goodness.
Art got clean Bill of health from his Cardiologist. Said to watch his Blood Pressure and see you next year. Art doesn’t take any blood pressure pills. Lucky him.
Art is now at the foot doctor for really deep corns on the bottom of each foot. Should have had this done 6 months ago. Men just don’t listen.
Do we went to 3 Dr’s appointments today. And it’s only MONDAY!! Ha ha.
Thursday Art goes for Cataract surgery. And then back again Friday for recheck. Wow. It’s like we won the appointment Lottery!

SAN: You have your nerve directing your siblings to my Hutch cubby. I only have a QUEEN SIZE bed. And you have a KING. I’ll give up my Queen size bed to help BB get a good nights sleep. TSS tss on you SAN.

Dave hope Kathy likes her new phone. You do live in the past buddy keeping your flip phone. But hey, if it works for you that’s all that counts.
Thanks for the support on my WASHINGTON VIEWS. Can you believe that T has yet to call and ask about how Pence and wife are after the mob scene. He’ll never talk to him again. What a cluster F all this is.
I laughed when one of the protesters got turned in by his EX wife. Must have been a bad divorce.

Off of here now. Be good. Be very careful.
Tomorrow at 8:30 am the 50 phone lines open up for vaccine shots for 65+ appointments. I’ll be trying to get one.

$385. later and I have a washing machine again!!! I am a happy camper again. Now I can do laundry. Why am I happy about that? Hmmm ...

Tony - Our group has always been pretty like minded on most things. Isn't that what normally happens in most families?
Thanks for the heads up on K2 stealing my bed!

So K2 just posted and says that she doesn't have my king size bed, so where the he!! is it?

Dave - Don't feel bad about your flip phone. That's what Bert had when he even had a phone. I finally cut it off. Why pay for something that hasn't been used in almost a year? He never took it with him, so why bother? It's a pain not being able to contact him at times and I worry when he goes out for a walk with no phone and is gone a long time. He's just too stubborn for his own good!!!

There sure seems to be an increasing amount of male bashing on here. Art and Bert in particular. Of course, Lee, Dave and I are above reproach.

Pfhifff .....above reproach Give us a break dreamer.

BB: Glad you got your washer back in working order. HOW OLD IS THAT WASHER. I faintly remember you replacing it....maybe or maybe not!
I have a story about my 30 yr old WALL OVEN and how it got fixed in 7 mins after doing a YouTube search. It was priceless! Literally.
I just need to get on the big desktop computer to tell the story. I need the bigger keyboard.
WAIT FOR IT!

Art just walked in. Says the foot doctor was great. No more pain when walking.

Later.

Okay, I'm on the big computer and have a REAL KEYBOARD in front of me that I can use both hands to type! Typing was one of my favorite classes in school.

Yesterday, if you remember, I made a Shepard's Pie for our dinner.
I set the WALL OVEN to heat up to 350F.
I went about my business of making a salad.
I wasn't sure if I missed the BEEP sound of when the oven got to the 350F, but it didn't matter. I opened the oven and YIKES- NO HEAT! Oh geez! The FAN was working, the LIGHT was working, just NO HEAT.
Not a big deal for the moment.
I just went over to the other bigger oven and turned it on. Opened the door and GOODIE I could feel the heat. So that was the oven I used to bake the Shepard's Pie.

Meanwhile, I get out the Oven manual. Yes, after 30 years it was still within a hands reach on the cookbook shelf.
I look for the trouble shooting page. What to do if oven does not heat up!
It says to re-set the "clock". Okay, I do that and tap the areas to start it up again and I get the same thing.......NO HEAT. FAN Working fine, Light working fine.
At that point I call Art into the kitchen. He went into the basement to check the breakers just in case, but he said the fan and lights would not be working if the breaker had popped.
All is good with the breaker!
He repeated everything I did and got NOTHING.
Then I went to YouTube and put in the Dacor oven name and model number and typed "what to do when it does not heat up."

A middle aged looking guy had a video and we watched it.
Take off the front touch screen panel. It just snaps off!
Unscrew 6 screws and take that metal plate off.
Look for a RED BUTTON towards the back. He showed just where it was in the video and PRESS it in!
Before we put it back together we TESTED it to see if that was the problem and
WHOPPEE DING DONG.......IT WORKED!

It took me longer to type this story than it did to fix the problem.
You can just imagine how much money we saved on a SERVICE CALL and LABOR and PARTS (I'm sure the guy would have come up with something more than pushing in a button if we hadn't checked out YouTube!

Art and I SHOOK HANDS and laughed out loud!

I felt like I won the Mega Lotto not having to pay to get the oven fixed.

Art wanted to clean up some DUST on some of the wrapped wires and I said: "Absolutely NOT" That dust has been just fine in there for 30 years and we aren't tempting fate by trying to clean something up that NOBODY can see.
"Don't push your luck"!

So now Wrabbits get your PJ's on and get to bed. That was your bedtime story for tonight! Ha Ha.

BB: I wish your washing machine issue was that easy! Did the service guy tell you just what was the problem?? I bet 75% of your bill was for travel time and service charge and labor.
Out of here for now. It's WINDY and COLD outside. Still NO SNOW, so I can deal with the Wind.

I keep looking at the big calendar in this computer area and know that right about now I'd be dragging out Florida Clothes! :conf05: Note happening this year! :(

NUTS! Ohio State sure got it's butt kicked by Alabama last night. :(

A washer fixed and an oven got fixed. Add Kathi's electronic problems being finally fixed and I'd say that's a pretty good start to the week. I too want to know what the washer's problem was.

I too have heard about gun sales up and ammo shortages. All this brought about by the Buffoon's conspiracy stories. I think that even he doesn't believe them, just another way of dividing people for him.

Bummer on your loss Dave. I was cheering for OHIO.

Good morning. I’m up and waiting for the Covid Vaccine phone lines to open so I can TRY and register for a appointment time. What a crap-shoot this is going to be getting this shot.
They have a random lottery going on if you are signed up to our biggest local hospital. We are already party of that system. Good thing because yesterday it crashed from everyone trying to open a account.

I do know one thing.....the lottery works because a fellow choir member got the notice that he was picked to get the vaccine. Slow but sure soon we’ll all get the vaccine.

Dave it makes me sick to think that the T-man for the past 4 years has shouted his total BS as his platform. He did nothing but hold Rally’s from the day he ran for office until this past Jan 6th. If Hillary had won perhaps things would be a little better. But I doubt he would have backed away even then. I HATE what he has done to our country and even others. I pray Karma strikes him big time.

Not much on our To Do List today. The half bath needs a new flusher system inside the tank. Not sure what you actually call it. A grip to Home Depot might have to be in order. Just one of us will go. Most likely ME. Art doesn’t go into stores much at all. He’s trying to be very careful until he gets the vaccine.

I’m off to get a nice cup of coffee. You all have a good day.

JUST A THOUGHT:
Can you believe this COVID has been around for almost a year now? Unreal. I still remember not being able to buy TOILET PAPER in Florida last year. Crazy. Our whole vacation was wrapped around FEAR of contracting the virus. We can all thank the T-man for ignoring the scientists and saying it was going to just go away on it’s own.

Good morning, everyone! Cloudy raw morning here with no sunshine forecast for today. Good day to either read a book or binge watch some TV.

Kathie - Good fix on that oven. I wish we could have been that lucky. Our problem was the water pump cracked big time. If Bert hadn't caught it when he did, we really would have had a major mess with water flooding the whole area. He showed me the broken part and I confirmed that was a problem and needed to be fixed. I got this washer over 15 years ago when we moved into this house. That was the first service call ever on it! We also have only had 1 service call on the matching dryer when a part in the door that no one knew about broke. Pretty good record for 2 old machines.
Our DIL in NC has told us more than once to never get rid of this washer, as the new ones are terrible. Hers is a front loader and they have no agitator. She has had 6 service calls on it as there are times that the middle of the pile of clothes in the washer don't even get wet, no less cleared. I've heard that from a friend's daughter also. As far as I'm concerned, that money was well spent. Plus tech moonlights on the side and gave Bert his contact info, if we ever need him. He was a very nice polite young man.

Not a lot on the calendar for today. I'm making a pot of chili, if that's ok with K2. It will be only for the 2 of us. Other than digging out a birthday card for a granddaughter who has a birthday today that I forgot with being in the hospital. I've got nothing.

Dave - Sorry for your loss last night, but I was rooting for Bama. SEC! SEC! SEC! Loyal to our league! We didn't even watch the game and truthfully, didn't even know it was on!

Did I ever tell you how much I hate to take pills? Well, I do and right now I have to take 11 or 12 pills a day! Plus inhalers. I don't know why I'm even bothering with food when I'm filling up on pills morning and night. I've got bottles of meds all over the place - bathroom, by my bed and on the kitchen table. Only good part is when empty, they can be recycled, after label is removed.

Hi to everyone I missed and I'll catch you all later. You all know the drill and make sure you stay safe. :)

I've been trying to get a appointment for 1 hr 45 mins. Finally am on HOLD and #39 in line. Estimated wait time 8 mins. I'll believe when it happens! Ha Ha.
I have exhausted the battery time on all portable phones and thank goodness we still have a Land Line in the computer area.
I'll let you know how things work out.
Any bets I get DISCONNECTED?? Ha Ha.

Where is everyone today? Is there a breakfast gathering and I didn't get the invite?? Bummer.

8 mins later and we have a appointment for our first shot on Jan 19th. Next Tuesday. WHOPPEE.

Look who showed up... BB
Hey there's BB: Hi kiddo! Go ahead and make the chili.
Your DIL is right about the new machines. I hated when I was at Jill's and had to use her washer. It adds very little water and when it spins the clothes they are totally wrinkled to the point you can barely shake them out before putting them in the dryer.
And as for the FRONT LOADER....they are prone to getting MOLD and STINKY SMELL around the rubber gasket. I'd never buy one of those.
We have a old Maytag and it's been very LOYAL.
Can't blame you for fixing your washer.

I need to go get some coffee after sitting in this computer room for hours waiting online.
BLESS ME for doing this for us! Ha Ha

The Canada / US border will now remain closed to non essential vehicular traffic until February 21. So a quick trip to or from Macomb is out of the question again.
It’s good to read that so many gizmos have been fixed over the past few days. Some, like Kathie’s wall oven, a lot less expensive than others.
How did we ever get things or get things done before YouTube and Amazon?
The Mecum auction cracks me up Pat. So many classic, exotic and rare collectable automobiles and a ‘94 Chevy “pick em up“ truck?
A good news bad news weekend for your football teams Dave. I do disagree, sadly, but I think that t is so delusional and unbalanced that he DOES believe his theories.
I hope that you and Art bought a lotto ticket too Kathie! Generally good results from the family medical appointments AND Covid-19 shots. I remember coming home early last winter and realizing, once we got home, how serious the pandemic was. I also remember shortages of some of the stupidest things like paper products.

Pretty good record for 2 old machines.
Tony is that line, no doubt directed at two of the guys here, what you meant when you spoke of the bashing of Art and Bert in particular?
OK Madam Vice President of the Belleview HOA, where you at these days.
I hope Bill and Rita are enjoying their digs in FL. Are you able to get the vaccine there? Faster than you might have in MA?
Time to trim the pups toe nails.
You all, PLEASE, stay safe and sanitized.

Ha Ha.....Lee.....I'm still smiling over your last sentence! SAFE & SANITIZED. Ha Ha.

Art just left to get his monthly Allergy Shot. Thank goodness that's a walk in and quick walk out. I asked if he would try and stop by Lowe's for the Toilet Tank flapper and water gizmo. He gave me the "LOOK"! :dizzy: Not sure if he will or not! Time will tell. I don't know which style to buy! DUH!!

Anybody here in the STATES wonder if the Grocery Stores shelves are empty by now. Seems like somebody is threatening a lot of STUFF COMING DOWN in the next 10 days and that people should take money out of their savings to have on hand in case the banks crash and stock up on groceries. Dang this is ALL GETTING OLD FAST.

Checking in from Belleview...dull grey day here and a mood to match.....and nothing much to add to the conversation.....catch up with you another day....
