Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good afternoon, everyone! Taking it easy once again today. Leg feels nice and warm like it should, so I'm a happy camper. Upper right leg, where the stent is hurts a bit when I walk but that was to be expected.

Lee - Loved the picture of you and Lu-Ann with your escorts from Cinderella's castle. Great shot. Glad you didn't have to get up so early again this morning.

Dave - Thanks for the report on Pepsi/Peeps and for saving the rest of us from trying it. Unlike Bill, I really do like peeps and can eat a whole package of them in one sitting. Done that a few times in my life.

Kathie - Glad you blood work went well. I just got put back on my thyroid meds again. Youe nut rolls look really, really good. Good idea making them in batches instead of all at once.

Karen Sorry your yard sale didn't generate more $$$. We have one coming up next week and I think we are going to take a pass, as we really don't have a heck of a lot to sell. Not many people want a REAL deep fryer these days. So much for $100. shot to heck! Made the best french fries ever though!!

Nancy - Sorry your hand and neck are still hurting. Did you ever try coating your hands with Vicks and then putting on a pair of disposable gloves that would hold the heat in? I'd be looking to try anything that would make things better. Good luck.

Not much going on around here today. Having leftover chicken pot pie that I made a few weeks ago and put in the freezer. Might boil some baby potatoes to go with the pot pie. I think it's almost time to head for the lanai and a nice glass of wine while sitting in the shade. The water pill the doctor put me on requires that you stay out of too much direct sunlight. That's ok as it's too hot in the sun right now anyway.

Enjoy the rest of your afternoon, everyone!

A busy group of folks.
So sorry to hear that Scooter has had a rough go. Tough on you as well having to get to the ER vet in the middle of the night.
It sounds like you are on the mend Pat. That’s great news.
God you have some direction with that leg of yours too Dave.
Agreed Bill. Dave saved us all a trip to the grocery to search for “Peepsi”.
Your aches and pains sound like they’re getting worse Nancy. Hopefully you’ll find some relief soon.
Wow! Look at this pic Lu-Ann came across from the year you and Art stayed in Calabay Parc Kathie. Pretty good return on nut rolls for your church. Well done.

Heading to The Poly to watch fireworks from The Magic Kingdom and then the Electric Parade on Bay Lake.
See you all in the morning.

LOVE THAT PICTURE of our EXTENDED FAMILY. You all are so special to me and Art too.
God willing we will get to see each other again in Florida next year...... if not sooner. Ha Ha. No we're not planning a surprise trip. Just wishing out loud.

Karen: So sorry to hear that Scooter is having a bad time of it right now. We all know how horrible those UTI's can be. And when you can't let somebody know just what the heck is bugging you it's got to horrible for Scooter. Hope she has calmed down by now.

And BUMMER on not getting much sleep and then having to do the Yard Sale.
Tired Sleep GIF
Hope you get to bed early tonight and get some rest.

Kitchen is cleaned up for today.
Going to try and make it to church tomorrow. And YES.... I'll make sure to put in a good word for all of you.

NANCY: I'd be trying the VICKS on your hands and then the gloves like PAT mentioned. I have a friend that rubs VICKS on the bottom of her feet almost every night before she gets into bed for the night. I have a jar on my nightstand in case I can't breath through my nose at night. Works like a charm. All the best to you.

DAVE: Hope your leg is better.

BILL/RITA: Hope you two are staying out of trouble. It seems to find you guys! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Lee: How were the Fireworks? By the way, how much is GAS down in that area these days? Ours is $3.09 at Kroger. Some stations are ripping folks off by charging $3.35 a gallon.

OUR SNOW is TOTALLY GONE. ALL MELTED by 5:00 pm. We had the fluffiest 2 inches of snow and it's all gone.

Night gang. Be safe and hug each other a little tighter tonight. ;):emoticon 0100 smile: We all have a lot to be thankful for.

Good Sunday morning Bunnies!

I'm going to go out on a limb here Lee, and say that you & Lu-Ann have more fun now than you did 15 years ago. And that means the time spent together and time on your own, doing things. Am I wrong?

I'm with you Bill, I'm not a fan of Peeps. Or candy corn, for that matter.

Something tells me that taking up a sideline of being a profitable baker is not in the stars for you K2. As tasty as they are. Sorry about the MSU game.

Poor little Scooter, KC. It's heartbreaking seeing our fur-babies when the are in any kind of discomfort. As tired as you were after the middle of the night visit to the emergency vet, it sure was nice of Jane to help you pack up after your garage sale.

BB; If your leg is warmer, that means your new stents are working. YEA! I'm beginning to see a pattern here, when you are visited by those northerners. In the pictures, you always have a glass of wine in your hand. Are they a bad influence on you?

OR....

Is it the other way around?

Good morning. Been awake since 4 something and up since just after 6. It will be a long day.

They never ran the Xfinity race yesterday, due to rain and snow, so it is now scheduled for 8 pm tonight, after the Cup race.

Probably will go out to lunch.

All have a great day.

For the first time science forever, guess who actually slept in this morning! I didn’t open my eyes until 6:25. Of course my first thought was “l’m late.” Then I thought “late for what?” I’ve still managed a mile walk with Ava, a 1.4 mile walk with Lu-Ann and our coffee, our 7 minute morning stretch and breakfast.
Dave, I like to think that Pat is a bad influence on us! We didn’t even know where True Blue was until she and Bert took us. And then dragged poor Art and Kathie along too! I can’t think of a more appropriately named winery for this group to meet in.
I always feel bad for people who paid good money when any sporting event is cancelled because of weather Nancy. I‘m starting to think you may want to consider a good old fashioned “witch doctor” to try to get some relief!

Fuel here is right around $3.12 per gallon Kathie. That’s without any rewards programs. Circle K (Shell) offers 10 cents off per gallon for the fist 100 gallons if you join their loyalty program. Maybe I will remember for next year. The weather up north has been crazy this winter. Ice and a bit of snow in the morning and gone in the afternoon!
How’s everyone, people and pets alike, doing in your home today Karen?
Now that you’ve been on dry land for a bit Bill, how long until you sail again?
Best get a move on. Just like home we have laundry and house keeping to tend to.
Have a fantastic Sunday everyone.

I have not tried the Vicks on the hands as I can't wear disposable gloves. I once tried Vicks on the feet for coughing but after an hour had to take off the socks. Unless it is real cold my hands and feet get extremely hot if I have anything on them.

Good Sunday morning, everyone! Another perfect day here in **PURE** Florida!

Dave - I dislike candy corn also, as well as conversation hearts. We always buy both, as the grandkids will eat anything. Yes, my right leg is warmer, so I knew the stents were working within a very short while. And definitely, it's all these "outsiders" who are making me always have a glass of wine in hand. Doesn't matter if they're here or not, it's all their fault. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Lee - Nice to know that you actually slept in a bit his morning. I did too! I wore my trilogy mask last night and slept until after 7 this morning. Bad me then proceeded to go back to bed and slept until 8:30, I swear that I am turning into Bert and his sleeping habits! This is not good!
Remind me again when you will be heading north again. I lost the paper I wrote it down on.

Karen - How's Scooter today? Hope she's feeling better with the meds.

Nancy - Have you ever tried emu oil on your hands? Some people swear by it for the relief of pain. It's worth giving a try. By the way, if you can't use disposable gloves, you can always use plain cotton ones at night. Bert used to have to do that and it worked.

Kathie - Glad your snow all went away. So how was church this morning. Thanks for the prayers. We all need whatever ones we can get.

Bill - So how are you and Rita doing? I really need to talk to Rita about when you can come up for a few days. Hopefully, we can get together before Lee & Lu-Ann head north again.

Not much happening here today. The highlight of the day may be when our friend stops by to pick up some herbs from my overgrown herb garden. I have got flatleaf parsley, curly leaf parsley, oregano, rosemary and basil growing out of control. Either I give it away or Bert will just cut it off and throw it away, if I can't use it all.

I see that it's just about lunchtime, so I better get a move on and see what I can find for us to eat for lunch. Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone, no matter what you have on tap for today.

Gas around here dropped several cents a gallon while we were on a cruise and are generally in the $3.19-$3.29 region but the station closest to us is $3.09 and has been for the past several days. We filled up there yesterday and was the first time we had to put gas in the RAV4 since before we drove to Tampa for our cruise. Next one on the schedule isn't until September when we are doing a r/t sailing to Greenland and Newfoundland out of NJ. Following that will be our family cruise on Adventure of the Seas where we will celebrate Christmas onboard. It ends December 30th so we may then stay in Florida for the next three months, God willing.
Sorry your yard sale
wasn't that successful, KC. When we were at Ft. Myers the community had an annual White Elephant sale where we actually found a couple of good bargains. One of the parks near here is advertising a similar event this weekend but I don't think we will bother to check it out.
Glad to hear the stents are doing the job, BB. Our calendar is pretty wide open (I think) but check with Rita to confirm. We definitely would like to meet up with our Canadian friends again before they head back north to the frozen tundra. Speaking of which, the folks back home are being told to brace for a bad storm beginning Monday night.

Last night's TV would have been a vast wasteland (IMHO) if it wasn't for the Celtics-76ers game on ABC. 76ers led by as much as 15 points in the second half, but the Celtics pulled out a last second comeback victory to win by 3 points. 76ers made a stupendous shot from the back court that went in but didn't count because time had expired before the shot. Seemed a bit strange to see Doc Rivers coaching the opposing team after all his successful years with the Celts. The Celtics new coach has done a terrific job and it is exciting to see this team on the court.

Las Vegas Wine GIF

PAT..... not sure if it's the WINE or the STENT that's making your leg feel nice and warm! Ha Ha. Enjoy!

Church was good. Not a lot of people for some strange reason. It's sunny, no snow, no ice and 43F. I guess folks just wanted to stay home! Ha Ha. Choir loft was slim with members too. Oh well, YOU ALL ARE GOOD TO GO FOR THIS WEEK. I put in a good word for all of us.

Lee & BB: Good for both of you for getting a tad more sleep. Especially LEE. You just get up way too early! Ha Ha. I bet even AVA was glad to sleep in for a change.

Okay, everyone enjoy your day. I need to grab a sandwich. Art is out biking with his buddies. They didn't go out yesterday morning because of the snow. Which was gone by 2:00 pm.

DAVE: I was so ticked off at the MSU OVERTIME LOSS yesterday. They had that game and just plain old GAVE IT AWAY. SAD. I sure would hate to be in the locker room and have to listen to IZZO screaming at them.

I would not be able to go an hour with cotton gloves on my hands as they would be so hot, they would be coming off in about 15 minutes.

But 15 minutes would be better than nothing. Just trying to help seeing as how nothing you are doing now seems to be working.

I lost the paper I wrote it down on.
That’s what happens when you have too much wine Pat. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Sadly, we head home on March 11. We had more friends from home fly in yesterday so we have a couple more get togethers on the calendar. I have to decide if I should get The Subie’s oil changed before we head home. I may call our dealership and seek their guidance as the mileage will be close.
Yes, only I could wake up at 6:30 and feel like I’d wasted the whole morning.
We haven’t seen real TV since we got here Bill. All they have are TCL TV’s with all kinds of streaming services. Thank heaven for The NFL site showing The Super Bowl.
We bought a light fixture at home that came with really, really thin cotton gloves to screw the bulbs in without leaving finger prints. I bet they’d be ideal for the Vicks on the hands thing.
I do hope that everyone is having a good Sunday.

But 15 minutes would be better than nothing. Just trying to help seeing as how nothing you are doing now seems to be working.
Actually used Blue Emu before getting the diagnose of arthritis and it did not do anything. I don't think I really want to try something that is on the greasy side with knowing that I would have to take the gloves off so soon after putting on. i would not be able to touch anything and that does not work.

Today was "Forgiveness Sunday". So before the clock strikes midnight I am asking for your Forgiveness!
It's the start of Orthodox Lent on Monday. I don't get all into this strict fasting so I'll start off good and then continue to be my good old self and take my chances with the MAN upstairs later! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

I had a good Sunday Lee. Hope yours was good too. WOW another couple of weeks and you're back on the road. You guys might just try RESTING a tad for a few days before you start back home. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
You guys coming back home means WINTER is ALMOST OVER. WOW, I might survive another year of not being by the Gulf waters and SUN. This better be the last year I do this. Dang Covid messed things up big time for me.

Karen: I hope you got some rest today. And I'm hoping that Scooter is doing better. Thinking of you both big time right now.

Out of here..........
Good Night GIF

So what you’re sayin’ Kathie is that Lu-Ann and I are kinda’ like the groundhog? When we head home winter is - or should be - almost over. Now, why or how can someone who does as much good and cares about others as much as you do need forgiveness?
Geez Dave. I didn’t think I’d ever make it to the end of your post. Hope all is well my friend.
As I do for the rest of you.
I best get a move on. A couple of last minute things to tidy before Jim, Gail and Latte arrive.
You fine people all have a great Monday

Good morning. Well I fell asleep last night during the Xfinity race and woke to see the winner climb from the car and then it was right back to sleep.

No plans for me today, but I may fix a macaroni salad.

All have a great day.

Good morning, another foggy day here in Belleview, hopefully it burns off soon as I have running to do this morning.

Dave, Good Monday morning to you as well! Hope the wound Dr. is able to get the problem with your legs cleared up quickly.

Kathie, extra prayers are always appreciated, I was bad & didn't make it to church yesterday. Your nut rolls look delicious as always!

Lee, my goodness your time in Florida is almost over, it seems like you just got here! So glad I had a chance to meet up with you & LuAnn this year.

Pat, once you get those stents in your other leg you will be ready for Bert to take you out dancing! So glad you are noticing improvement!

Bill, my goodness, no cruise planned till Sept now? That a long stretch between cruises for you guys. The Greenland trip sounds amazing though.

Scooter is doing better with the UTI, thanks for asking everyone. But now the antibiotic she is on is messing with her digestion big time. I am going to call my vet this morning & see if I can bring her in for the antibiotic shot. It lasts 2 weeks & she's had it before with no issues. Sure am glad I get cash back on my Capital one card!
