Made the dentist appt for my cracked tooth. (or whatever is wrong with it) TUES: 2:30 pm!
Works for me.
Seems like the dentist and his wife are OFF to FLORIDA "again" from Wednesday until next week. Glad I could get in to get started on whatever it is he'll be doing. I'm sure he'll be happy to know I'm still supporting his remodel projects on the Florida home! Ha ha.

It's just starting to sprinkle rain here. Good day to get some things done in that dining room. Time to sort out what is NOT going back in the cabinets.!

Right now I'm off to the lighting shop to order the fixture for the dining room.

And somebody asked when the Kitchen Project is suppose to start..... Sometime in MAY when the cabinets are suppose to come in. The contractor doesn't start until the cabinets are checked to make sure they are in one piece and all there! Seems like a logical policy! :clap002:

Enjoy your day folks.

Nothing says that Spring has arrived more than the sound of power lawn mowers at 9 am. The landscape company arrived in the complex this morning and the crew is circling the houses on their riding mowers even as I write.
Rita is off to the travel agency for a few hours and then we will take a ride to the Toyota dealership to see if their inventory contains something suitable to replace
her RAV 4 that was totaled a year ago on Easter Sunday.
Dishes and utensils were dry when I removed them,Pat, so perhaps they have corrected that deficiency. So far, at least, we are very pleased with the Bosch. Now if GE appliances would just stop sending me reminders to renew my service contract with them for the dishwasher that no longer graces our presence and telling me that I should want to renew the policy because of the excellent service they provide, all would be well in my world.
Another chilly week ahead according to the weather people, but at least, today is bright and sunny the flowering trees are blooming.

Women Pregnancy Test GIF

And the good news is we’re not pregnant, um, I mean “positive”. :p We’ll test again in a couple of days. Just to be sure.
Darn fine job on Franklin Dave!
It sounds like a nice Easter for you and The Maxwell Family Kathie. Did they know that there was a catch (putting stuff back) to the dinner invite? The gentleman who tested positive after the wedding said, like the priest, it started with a scratchy throat. Are those “Old Thyme Moroccan Rolls”? Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Good luck for a quick fix at the dentist.
That’s great to know you can see The Doc even earlier Pat. Let us know how it goes please. Our salmon recipe is virtually “odour free” too. I think that’s what puts lots of folks off of sea food.
Speaking of which Nancy, as a member of the buckwheat family, can you eat Sea Grapes or are they a decorative plant?
My rule of thumb is no power equipment before 9:00 am or after 9:00 pm Bill. Hard to believe that crash was a year ago!
Looks like lunch time approaches. Treadmill has been tread upon, dogs have been walked, our second coffee has been enjoyed. This afternoon is games day. We were all at the wedding and as of today are all negative. Still, Lu-Ann an I will distance as best we can and wear our masks.
Back later to check on everyone!

Good afternoon. Went to Walmart this morning and sure did buy more than I planned, and got al but one thing on my list. Just call for a refill of one of Bruce's Rx's to the Dr.'s office.

Jennifer called yesterday and said that on Saturday she and Max went to her cousin Becky's for the day. She brought home a couple of boxes of photos and spent yesterday posting some on Facebook. She said they went to see her Aunt Barbara, Bruce's sister, but she was sleeping. On Friday she was moved from the hospital to a nursing home and Becky found that she needs to get a different Medicare/Medicaid plan for Barbara to be able to go to Hospice now. So since Barbara hardly eats anything Becky is paying for aids to be with Barbara at least during the day, because of course the nursing home is not able to have someone with Barbara all the time.

Dave Franklin looks real nice.

Lee, no the Sea Grape is not eatable.

BB, sea grapes live mainly right next to the ocean and since we are only a couple miles from it we do get salt air.

Will be making ham and beans for dinner tonight.

Yesterday Bruce cut a lot of our Sea Grape and put the branches out to the road and I figured I would need to call the garbage company and tell them we have load for the claw truck. Well I got up at 7:30 and it had all been picked up. Nice. Yesterday when Bruce was cutting the Sea Grape he at one point had me go and pull on a rope to make sure the branches fell towards out house and not the neighbors. Well it came loose and fell and hit me in the back of my head, my face and my shoulder. I came in and took a couple of extra strength Tylenol and by bed time I was not hurting very much. And today all is okay.

All have a great day.

Pulmonologist - Check
Cardiologist - Check
Podiatrist - Check
Primary care doctor - Check
Eye doctor -Check
Vascular Surgeon - New addition to the list

Did I ever tell you how much I hate going to doctors? This is why!! Podiatrist said that I have very poor circulation in my legs and that is why this infection has not healed. He wants me to have a scan of my legs. I had this done years ago, but he feels a new scan is called for. That will be next Thursday. So how will you be celebrating your Cinco de Mayo? Grrrrr .....

Good morning.
I was awake at 12:30 and felt like I’d slept all night. I did drift off and on and got up at 5:00. I fear it’s gonna be a long day!
Thats quite a list of medical professionals you support Pat. And you didn’t even mention the dentist. I sure hope that they appreciate you!
I looked at Franklin again Dave. He made me smile. Again.
If you can’t eat sea grapes Nancy can you make wine with them?
We’ll be lucky if temps hit 50F today. The next two nights could see lows around 30F! Brrr.
There may be a trip to COSTCO in my future. Oh boy.
I’ll check in later to see how everyone’s day is going.
Have a good safe one.

Ah yes, time for Mother Nature to change her mind again. For the last 3 days the temperature has been 80 degrees. Today's high will be around 50. And tomorrow it'll be around 40.

You are such a social butterfly amongst the medical crowd, BB.

So that's what Sea Grapes look like, Nancy. And they do look like grapes.

K2; On Easter, were your relatives standing out at the end your driveway with signs that said, "Will work for food."?

I'm SO happy to hear that, so far, you've tested negative for Covid, Lee. How soon can you test again?

Speaking of Covid; An exceptionally nice man here in town who owned a landscaping and nursery has passed away from it. Sadly, he was an anti vaxer.

Hey Bill, the wonderful smell of freshly cut grass smells all the sweeter when someone else is doing the mowing.

Oh yea; Jack is catching on to this housebreaking a lot quicker than I expected. Not perfect yet, but only has rare oopses.

Well I was wrong about sea grapes as they are edible. "Sea grape fruit is edible, sweet with some acidity and an unremarkable flavor. The most common uses for the fruits are for making wine or jelly."

Good morning! Sitting here waiting for the technician from the overnight breathing gizmo to get here. Machine is due for service, I guess, as I didn't call him. He's due at any time, but it's ok if he's late. Bert still isn't dressed, even though I woke him over an hour and a half ago. Man loves his bathroom!!!

Lee - We could have chatted all night together. I woke up about 1:30 and then couldn't go back to sleep. Only difference between you and me is that I stayed in bed until 8 hoping to catch a few winks, but that never did happen. So I too will be dragging today. Glad it will be a rather slow day.

Nancy - Interesting facts about those sea grapes. I wonder if ABC Liquors or Total Wines carry sea grass wine, or is it strictly homemade?

Dave - You did a fantastic job on Franklin! It looks great. I'm glad Jack is getting with the program and getting the hang of not dirtying inside (most of the time)

A car just pulled in the driveway, so that must be the technician. Better close this now ...

Good Morning Wrabbits!

Dave: Just love the nice job you did on FRANKLIN! Now I just hope that JACK doesn't piddle on him! Ha Ha

BB: Hope you get the sleeping machine gizmo all cleaned up and it fits better for you.

Nancy: I did a google of Sea Grapes and there are recipes for making wine from the berries. Just too much work if you ask me. Better to just buy your favorite wine.

KC: How's things going with that bathroom remodel?? Moving along this week?

Lee: Bummer on the "sleep issue". I was up at 2:00 am and went from the couch to the bedroom. Thank goodness I was able to fall right back to sleep.
We REALLY need to look into buying a new mattress. My HIPS are telling me they need something to support them. Hate that aching feeling. I'm sure it's just the arthritis that is slowly creeping through my body, but a new MATTRESS would really help!

NEGC: Good to know that the dishwasher is doing a good job. I actually can't remember which dishwasher I picked out. I think it's time I call and make sure the things have come into the warehouse by now. How's the travel agency doing these days? Keeping Rita busy?

Karen, we changed out the panels on our 1st dishwasher in our old house. The one we have now works fine, but doesn't have changeable panels. And there is so much BLACK on it that it would stand out like a sore thumb with the other stuff going into this remodel. I just can't wait for this to get started and get DONE. I have nightmares thinking about everything that can go wrong and all the DUST! At least we'll be able to open the doorwall and kitchen window and back garage door to air it out.

I changed out the bedding in our room and need to throw things into the washing machine.
Nothing better than fresh clean sheets! :clap002:

Dentist appt at 2:15 pm. Lordy, I'm not looking forward to this. I just hope he can fit a crown onto this tooth and that it doesn't turn into a big deal. My dental budget is at ZERO right about now!

You all take care and you BELLE's enjoy your warm weather while we CHILL OUT up here!

46 degrees and gloomy outside right now. :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

82 degrees and sunny outside right now!

Tech wasn't here very loong. Just long enough to take the numbers from the machine and to give us new supplies for it for the next month or two.

No one is going to be here tonight except Bert & I. Can't decide whether to cook or go out for dinner. More of these decisions, decisions, DECISIONS!!! Decision right now is to decide what to have for lunch.

Kathie, omg....talk about a golden oldie!! I've been gone from there 9 yrs now so that pic is really old!!!
Good luck on the tooth & the kitchen remodel...it's a toss up which will end up being the most painful...

Dave, Franklin looks quite dash....now you just need a comfy chair next to him & you are all set with a nice place to set your drink...tell Kathi thanks for posting the pic!

Pat, take advantage of a night alone & go out someplace really
extravagant...glad the Dr. is checking out your circulation...that is nothing to mess around with!

Lee, sorry you didn't sleep so good last night...I was dragging this morning too, but for no good reason...I slept till nearly 8...

Nancy, you are officially our Sea grape taste tester...wonder how you can tell when they are ripe?

Bill, a working dishwasher is a thing of beauty for sure...even though I don't use mine much, I sure missed it when my old one quit working...

I haven't heard anything from Barb so as far as I know Wes hasn't been over to do any more work...he told me last week he was going to try to get it finished up this week, but I don't see that happening...he needs to get the dry wall up so I can paint...I want to do that before he puts the new flooring down...
Pot luck dinner tonite at the clubhouse...I made rocky road brownies...they are ok...but the mini marshmellows didn't melt like I thought they would...instead they all floated to the top of the pan...but it turned out kind of cool..they taste "crispy" like they were roasted over a camp fire...I put choc frosting on them so they didn't look so funky...
Got some plants re-potted on the patio area...have a couple more to do, but it's to hot out there to do anymore today...there is a book & a glass of tea calling my name from the back porch...enjoy your day all!

Good afternoon. This morning I went to Staples to see if they had Gold, Silver and White crayons, as Bruce needs them for a project. Then on to the Post Office to mail off a couple of switches that won't work then to the veggie stand. I was only planning on buying tomatoes and cukes but also got fresh by color corn, carrots, green onions, mushrooms and 3 more succulents and 4 pots.

Just did some dishes that have to washed by hand and fixed a grape salad for tonight's dinner. The rest of dinner will be easy, hotdogs, corn on the cob and beans.

Since I am running out of the gel for my hands I decided not to put any on this morning will do this evening only.

I have no idea how to tell if the grapes are ripe and I don't plan on finding out. I will not be the taste tester.

All have a great day.

The drive to the dentist was 24.5 miles ONE-WAY. But well worth it. I was in the chair and got numbing injection (yes, I'm a chicken) and was out in 10 mins! Doc was able to fill the tooth and said we'll just see how long it lasts. It was worked on last August. If it gives way again we'll go to Plan B.... a crown! :emoticon 0101 sadsmile: I'll be able to run for Queen Elizabeths' job with all the crowns I've gotten in the years! Ha Ha

It's still gloomy and COLD here. 46F and dropping even lower tonight. Brrrr.

Karen I love that picture of you!

Off to make us some dinner.

A busy group today. And that’s good.
We did hit COSTCO after Lu-Ann’s PD meeting. Their first in person meeting since COVID. One of the other couples in attendance was also from Amherstburg.
With cloudy skies, wind and a temperature around 43F it’s time to doze off in front of the boob tube...
Have a good evening everyone.

Howdy! Not really much to gab about this morning.

Only about 40 degrees today, but about zero percent chance of any rain.

Not much on my agenda today. Want to, and need to, get on either the treadmill or bike this morning. My exercising has pretty much been on the back burner since Jack showed up.

Absolutely loved that picture of KC before she retired. Ya miss the office life, KC?

Sounds like you lucked out with that tooth, K2. Hope the filling holds up.

Hope all of you Wabbits got a good night's sleep last night.

Good Morning Wrabbits! So it’s back to Winter temps the last few days! 36F here in PURE MICHIGAN this morning! Brrr!

Dave: I too hope that the “filling” holds up. It’s going to take hours to go over the CoPays for both myself and Art once the bill gets to us! I always go over and make sure we don’t get over-billed. I don’t suppose the Rich & Famous bother doing that! Ha ha.
Good to know you’re going to get back to your exercise routine. If the weather ever gets back to the 60’s I’ll be able to do some biking around the neighborhood. I’m still looking for a new bike. I need a FRAME that is a few inches smaller height wise. I have to be able to put my feet on the ground for safety sake. Nikes are hard to come by since Covid hit. Supply chain issue!

I’m enjoying my coffee & Toasted English Muffin while watching Good Morning America.

Karen, glad your Pot Luck worked out and your Brownies were a hit.

I’ll be working on washing glass shelves for the China cabinet and putting items back in it today. I brought some boxes home from Costco the other day to put items for a future garage sale in them.

I’ll be back later to see what the rest of you were up to today.
HAVE A GOOD DAy!
