Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Night from Belleview....to much running around today has boggled my brain...so I will check back with you all tomorrow...Scooter did get a good report from the vet...her blood pressure has come down, so the vet is going to keep her on the same dosage & check her again in another month...since the lower blood pressure hasn't helped with the pacing & yowling she said it would be ok to try the CBD oil....especially since we've pretty much ruled out any physical cause for it...I ordered some the vet had suggested, so fingers crossed it helps....Sweet dreams all!

Morning Bunnies!

Great picture, KC. 49 years ago? You must have gotten married when you were 15. This CBD oil is sure getting wide acceptance.

Hope you get a warm and dry day today, K2. We're suppose to be like that, but the weekend brings the flannel weather. (I'm not ready for that.)

Lee, I liked your Bunny spaceship for the "Bunnies In Space" cruise. If I'm not mistaken, you sure sound like you are biting at the bit to get your Florida trip going. That would be fun to learn about your town's history of rum-runners.

Happy to hear that you didn't have a $300 "New patient fee", BB. I've never heard of such a thing. Looks like the 1/2 dose Moderna booster now has FDA approval. But there's a few more steps to get it into people's arms.

In a bit, Fuzzbutt needs to go to the vet for one of her yearly shots. Other than that it's a mill-around-smartly day.

Good morning!

Dave, sounds like you had a pretty nice birthday! Your family never fails to come up with the coolest gifts! Were there a lot of exotic flavors of ice cream? I need to look into that, I think my brother would get a kick out of something like that!

Pat, as if Dr.'s don't already charge out the wazoo now they are adding on fees like a car dealer? How crazy is that!! Glad you like the new doc, but just hope you don't get any surprises in the mail down the road!

Lee, sure sounds like there is a lot of interesting history & information in your new little town! Looking forward to hearing some of your interesting tidbits you learned...
And let the trip planning begin!

Kathie, did the ladder survive it's night in the wilderness? Lucky you live in a nice neighborhood...a lot of places that ladder would have been gone before you ever realized you'd left it outside...

Negc, so far we've not received any ransom demands from the
natives so I'm guessing you & Rita didn't slip off to a deserted island with all your winnings....

My sisters ended up coming over to swim yesterday...water is getting a bit brisk...but Barb will swim until she has to chip ice I believe...
Wendy & my sisters are coming for dinner tonite...I took the easy way out & ordered Sonny's BBQ for everyone...and Barb is going to pick it up for me on her way here...
And I'm finishing up all the little things that need to be done before I leave on Sunday....I decided to do something fun & surprise my great niece by coloring my hair purple...as that is currently her favorite color...it's temporary Dollar Tree stuff and my hair feels stiff as a board...but I think she will get a giggle out of it...not sure if I will get back later or not...but have a Fantastic Friday all!

Good morning, everyone! Another **perfect** day here in our area with temps hitting 90 once again. We do have a COLD FRONT heading this was for Sunday. Temp should drop to about 84!! brrr ....

Karen - Glad Scooter got a good report from the vet. Our cat occasionally wonders around meowing or yowling. Other than that there's nothing wrong with him, so we write his "talking" off to just being a weird cat.

Lee - There's another new place that open near Margaritaville. It's a German beer giercarten called Krush Brau Park. Most of the place isn't open yet, but they will have entertainment in their fest tent, a restaurant with authentic German food a park in the back with shops and a petting zoo. It's being built where the old Jungleland Zoo was. Check it out.

Karen - I like your hair! Missy had her hair colored with a permanent dye. Hers is now BLUE. I do have to say I think it looks great and is holding up very well. If I don't catch you before Sunday, have a safe flight north and enjoy your time with family.

Dave - If I get a bill in the mail for that $300 fee, I will be ready to spit nails. I'm wondering if that charge is for those that either have no insurance or not the right kind. We shall see.

Kathie - What are you up to today? It's not like you to not at least pop in here to say hello. You out buying monuments?

Enjoyed our dinner last night with our friends. Funny part of it was they asked who my new doctor was and when I told them they started to laugh. Seems they go to the same doctor or his associate! They love that office, so that made me feel better.

Need to get Bert's butt in gear. We have to go to BJ's and/or Sam's to pickup the cold cuts and imported cheese we need to make my world famous huge antipasto that the kids have been asking for recently. Back in NJ, I used to make this all the time, but in recent years, that hasn't happened. We'll make up for it on Sunday.

Have a wonderful Friday, everyone. Here's a hug for each of you!:smilehn:

Its Friday GIF by telenet
Like that really makes a difference for this group! Ha Ha

Karen ... you are totally the HIPEST Aunt around. LOVE the hair color. Good for you doing that as a surprise! Have a safe trip if I miss telling you.

BB: Antipasto's are always a crowd pleaser. Love mixing up all kinds of stuff for it.
NO MARKER hunting today. It's drizzling outside. Just not in the mood for that today.
Did a couple of loads of wash and got it all done and folded already.
Glad you liked your new doctor. Let's hope you don't get a bill in the mail. I hate to see you go Jersey on the place! :emoticon 0111 blush:

I made some Peanut Butter ACORN cookies last night. Using Peanut butter cookie mix and then adding a Hershey Kiss and a small Choc Chip on top. I'll post a picture later. Tonight for dinner I'm making a rolled up veggie beef roll. Kind of like Rolanden (sp?) but grilled quick to keep the meat as tender as possible. Saw it on Fbook and went to the butcher and he got me the thin slices of beef. Something different. I go all the veggies slivered up last night, so it'll be a easy job later today.

LEE: So how was the history lesson yesterday on Rum-Runners? Here in Detroit they had a group called "The Purple Gang" that ran whiskey back and forth over the Detroit River to Canada. Wonder if they ran into each other at times. Ha ha.

DAVE: You try any of that Ice Cream yet?

The Water TANK that is being built up 24 Mile Rd about 4 miles from here is moving right along. Amazing how this group of workers are like Busy Bee's getting that thing up so fast. Need to get you more pictures of that too.

Today is FLU-SHOT DAY for us. We're off to our local Kroger's to get them as soon as I get off this computer. Bummer that they DO NOT offer GIFT CARDS! :(

Out of here for now. Be safe and wear your MASK in PROTEST of the Jerks who don't believe.

Busy day here getting The Ark ready. You know, just in case...
I had two virtual doc visits this morning. One from Tom, the urologist, just checking in to see how things are going. Pun
intended. The other from Cardiac Rehab to, once again, see how things are going. They are all pleased wit the progress I'm making both with getting treatments underway and my recovery from the heart thing. Ave was to the vet this afternoon for her annual checkup and a distemper shot. Rabies has another 2 years to go.
Kathie, you can get those cookie kits at Costco. They make darned fine peanut butter cookies and the Hershey Kiss is a neat add on. All in one big box! Good for you two getting the third shot!
It looks like Krush Brau is a fair bit east of M'Ville. Their site says that they are currently closed! If you do get a bill let me know. I'll bring my best suit and a briefcase and pay the doctor a visit. He doesn't need to know I'm not a high priced lawyer from Canada.
That hair looks great Karen. I'd do the same thing but, well, you gotta have hair! A good report for Scooter. That makes it a little easier to get away to MD. Safe travels if we miss each other between now and your flight.
Dave, we are indeed looking forward to heading to FL. It looks like my goal of being ready for the Princess 5K will be realized! So, you would NOT be mistaken. A "mill around smartly day". I like that!
It looks like we may just be staying at La Quinta Inns on the trip. My beloved Drury charges a $40.00 pet fee. When we first stayed there pets were free. Our regular Drury's, where we know most of the staff, often waived the fee for our "rescue dogs". As new people came in we were paying the fees but now $40 is just a little bit too much!
Some great stories about the Rum Runners back in the day during prohibition. The author of the book presented some really great tales about Amherstburg's past. So much history for a little town on the Detroit River!
Gotta get a move on here. Lu-Ann is out with The Grey Ladies. Our friend Lisa is visiting as well from Ayr along with her Grey, Shiraz. They were heading to a winery (can you believe it!) for lunch and then terrorizing merchants in Kingsville about 30 minutes or so from here. It's on me to feed the beasts! And myself.
All of you please stay safe and masked. See you tomorrow.

Well we escaped Mohegan with only a small loss off the top instead of a scalping. Overall it was a fun time but it was strange to see so few people in the casino and one of the restaurants we had planned to dine in is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Not difficult to understand since there were so few people. On the way home we stopped at our favorite restaurant in Providence and came home with some of their fabulous apple strudel which will complement our breakfast for a day or two.
Red Sox vs Houston tonight. Hoping they can play as well in this series as they did against the Yankees and the Rays.
Had to spend some time updating the names and addresses of my football pool players since the list was apparently a casualty of the auto accident and subsequent work on my laptop to get it working again.
Enjoying the continuing good weather we are experiencing and wondering how much longer It will last.
Next week I have my final checkup with my eye doctor and can finally end up using those pesky eye drops.

Did all our running around for today. We went to BJ's & Sam's looking for imported provolone cheese. Neither had what we wanted. Bert decided to go to the Publix by G&E on the hopes they might have it, as they are a "higher level" store (whatever that is) than the one by us. Well lo and behold, they actually had it! Did I ever tell you how much I hate our Publix? Well I do, time and again.

Kathie - Good for you getting your flu shots today. We're waiting until after we get our booster shots, which hopefully will happen very soon. Sorry you had a dreary day, but I guess that's part of "Pure Michigan", right?

Lee - Nice that the grey ladies got a day for themselves. How about equal time for the grey men? I'd protest, if you don't get your day.

Bill - Glad you got to come home with your scalp this time. Sorry your favorite restaurant was closed though. Someday this covid crap will be over and life will return to normal, whatever that is!

Taking the easy way out tonight for dinner and letting the kids decide dinner. OMG! This may be a major mistake. The kids voted for frozen Red Baron pizza!:emoticon 0132 envy:Oh well, a promise is a promise!

Almost time for this gourmet dinner, so I better get off this computer so they can set the table. Have a great evening, everyone, and stay safe!:33:

With the pandemic going strong and people staying home watching the boob-tube, the birth of multiple pay-for channels sure has increased. So many have been cashing in. Disney Plus, Hulu, Paramount, Peacock, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, plus all the podcasts, and on & on. Some $5 a month and other around $10. Can you imagine how much you'd have to pay on top of what package you already pay too much for.

So my newest pet-peeve is watching one of my regular channels, say ABC, and they run an add for a show or series that looks interesting but it ISN'T on ABC. It's on one of those channels that you have to pay extra for. GRRR.

It got to 82 degrees here yesterday. But that is going to crash now. The weather people say that that will probably be the last time we see 80 degrees until spring.

My goodness I never imagined you in purple hair, KC. But I like your sense of humor. Have a safe and fun trip tomorrow.

Today I should put together our new wheelbarrow. It's one of those that has 2 wheels. But it arrived in a box needing to be put together.

Stay safe bunnies. And if you can't be good, at least be funny when you're misbehaving.

Good Mid-morning gang! It rained early early this morning. Sin is out there for now. Looks nice and clean and fresh on peoples grass!

Dave: I have to agree with you about the advertising of movies that are on PAY to VIEW type channels. I’m not buying into it. Plenty of FREE movies to watch.
Hope you don’t have any EXTRA SCREWS leftover after putting together your new wheelbarrow! Is it GREEN OR YELLOW?

Bill: Watched that Baseball game with Boston/HOU. Nice game, but Boston just didn’t have enough to pull it off. They get another chance today.

I’ll be watching Michigan State Univ (MSU) playing good college football.

Lee:
Hope it was still dry when you went for your walk with the pups this morning. Take advantage of this nice day. It’s suppose to rain AGAIN this evening.

Karen: Are your sisters going to stay over at your house to watch the kitties for you while you’re gone? How long will you be in Maryland? Be safe and have fun. Hopefully theynall have been vaccinated.

110 people died in Michigan from Covid this past Thurs & Friday. We had 1,050 new cases pop up too. People are just being reckless. Sad.
Pat: What’s on your to do list this weekend?
I just booked a pedicure and a basic manicure with the new gal I found at a salon 1 mile away. Did it online.

Okay folks you all know the drill. Stay safe. Don’t let your guard down now. We’ve all managed to stay alive and out of the hospital this long……keep it going.
My one dear friend from choir has been taking care of her STUPID brother who was in the hospital for 5 weeks with a bad case of Covid. His wife said they didn’t need to get the vaccine. He listened to her and now is a mess. Thank goodness my friend was in Germany all the time he was in the hospital. What a thing to have to come home to after a nice vacation. So be careful gang.

Later. Time to change the bedding from the washer to the dryer. And then put some new sheets, blankets etc, etc on our bed.

GO GREEN GAME @ 12:00 pm!

Good morning from Sunny Belleview!!

Dave, if cable wasn't included in my Hoa dues I would look into some of those streaming services...both my sister's have them instead of cable & pay less than $20 a month...

Kathie, Barb may or may not stay here while I'm gone...she hadn't decided as of last night...if she doesn't stay here she will come in Mon & Tues to give Scooter her meds & to make sure they both have food & water....really isn't any need for her to stay if she doesn't want to....

Bill, glad to hear you came home with scalps intact....sounds like a nice get away for the 2 of you!

Pat, so how was last nights "gourmet" dinner? Red Baron pizza is ok for a frozen pizza...I usually keep one in the freezer for when I don't feel like cooking...course I usually jazz it up a bit with fresh toppings...

Lee, I don't blame you for switching hotels...$40 is crazy to charge for your pups....

Dinner last night was ok...Sonny's carry out does not seem to be the same quality as Sonny's eat in....food was luke warm & I had ordered the pick 2 pork plate with ribs & pulled pork & got 2 little baby ribs with barely any meat on them...oh well..the company was good so that's the important thing! Got all the papers signed for the lawyer last night too & emailed them to his office....I will mail the originals when I get back...
All packed & ready to go...just have to put my zip lock bag of toiletries in the bag tonite after I put my eye drops in my eyes for tonite....printed out my boarding pass....happy I'm in A group boarding...not happy to be #52 out of 60....so much for paying for early bird check in....
Time to finish up a couple more chores here & then I have the rest of the day to relax....I'll be offline till thurs so play nice....and to paraphrase Dave....Be good....but if you can't be good...then Post Pictures.... :)

Good morning, all you nice people! Another pretty one around here, before we get that cold front tomorrow which will bring out temps down into the mid 80s from the 90 we've seen all week.

Dave - In a way we are very lucky with all those pay channels, between Gary and M&J, we have Netflix, Disney +, Hulu and a slew of others. They all pay for some of those services and share with us. Outside on the lanai, we have a firestick connected to the TV and thanks to Gary's IT ability, we was able to log us into a number of those type channels. We just don't have the network add on ones that you see all those commercials for, plus we don't have HBO, Showtime or any other premium movie channels. With all those channels, what do we watch you may ask. We basically watch CBS, HDTV and the food network!!! You can't teach an old dog new tricks. LOL

Kathie - Not too much on my To Do list this weekend. Top of the list is to watch the GATOR game at noontime and then eat leftovers tonight for dinner. Tomorrow will be our huge antipasto salad. It will take the better part of an hour to put it all together. I do hope I remember to take a picture of the finished product. G&E are coming over with the boys to help consume it. Might also order some wings from Publix to make sure there is enough food for everyone.

Karen - I can see the excitement in your fingers as you did your post. Have a fantastic, safe visit to and in Maryland. Can't wait to hear how your purple hair was received. Surprisingly, the Red Baron pizza with everything on it was really very good. The plain pizza, not so much. I would definitely get the combo one again to keep handy for those I don't want to cook nights. Since you mentioned Sonny's BBQ I was tasting some. We always got the family feast. Only problem here is that the closest Sonny's is over a half hour away in St Cloud. It would be cold by the time we'd get it home.

Time for me to get a few things done around here before the game starts, so I will get out of here for now and hope for a GATOR win after I grab something to eat. Take care all.

:cheerleader::bigwave::cheerleader:
GO GATORS :cheerleader::bigwave::cheerleader:

Watching some MSU "Go Green" football. (they're behind at half-time) :(

Later going to get my nails done. Toe nails & Finger nails. Haven't done the hands in I don't know how long. (A manicure never lasts very long with me because of all the Kitchen and Garden work I do)

I'm actually "planning" on going to church tomorrow. We have a Choir meeting after church and I'd love to get the scoop on just what's happening as to REHERSALS. Have had those in almost 2 yrs. We had a few people in our church pass away and they donated to our choirs treasury. We now have $15,000 + in it. Lordy we needed money like that when we use to FLY to silly places like Omaha, Nebraska for a weekend Choir Concert. Ha Ha. I don't think I know of any other church choir that spends thousands of dollars on a choir concert weekend. Well, we've been doing it for decades. Way before I was 15 and joined. Those were FANTASTIC plane and BUS trips. WOW.

Okay, back to the game.
I won't be cooking tonight. Art is going to have to do the Soup and Sandwich routine! Ha ha

Sin is out there for now.
Kathie, sin is everywhere. Can I get an "Amen". :emoticon 0136 giggle: Enjoy your mani - pedi this afternoon. 17 - 9 for the Spartans in the fourth! I hope that some of that corn is for Art!
Good afternoon everyone. Our usual trip to the Navy Yard this morning. Then Lisa and Razzie popped over for some a) coffee and nibbles and b) wine and nibbles. Then the ladies headed into Windsor shopping. I tidied up and got half the grass cut. I forgot to recharge both batteries so I've got them on the charger and I'll have a go at the rest in bit.
Pat, it's so nice that you have family ready and willing to help you consume any food that you may need help with. Sometimes frozen pizza will do the trick. It's quick and usually less expensive than the fresh made stuff from a pizzeria. Like today. It was good to toss a frozen one in the oven and cut it into bite sized squares to serve with the cheese, crackers and beverage of the hour. Gators are a TD behind in the fourth.
Agreed Dave. All the ads they run across the bottom of the screen are for shows on the networks "premium" service. I admit that we have Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime and, for now a free year of Apple TV. We keep Amazon because it's cheaper than paying shipping on stuff we order from them. When the free Apple TV runs out, we'll cancel that service. Cable is stupid expensive here in The Great White North. We cut back to the basic networks, US and Canadian which are still $52 a month. I have my Formula One streaming channel that is about $3.00 a month. Disney+ and Netflix are about $10 each per month.
Again Karen, safe travels! I hope they recognize you at the other end with the "new doo".
Coffee has been consumed so it's time to see if the batteries are ready to tackle the last wee bit of the yard.
Yep, masks, clean hands and, well, you all know the drill...

Someone forgot the defense in Gainesville and our quarterbacks sucked big time ... 4 interceptions is totally unacceptable. Turned the game off after the 4th interception and put on HDTV!! Pathetic showing for the Gators!:(:emoticon 0130 devil:

Time to go sit outside for a little while and read.

Have a good evening, everyone. I hope yours will be better than the way we feel around here right now.:sadhn:

I thought that the farmer that setup his CORN display with the back of the truck tilted was quite inventive! Good for sales for sure. Hey at least you could see the CORN from the entrance to the pole barn area.

It's F'ing FREEZING here tonight. 59F and dropping. I have no clue how I will survive another year here this WINTER. Time to get a Sauna for the basement and throw some play sand around the area and pretend it's the beach!

Nails turned out really good. I haven't had finger nail polish on in I'd say 2 years. Feels
weird, but looks good. Now to remember to put on rubber gloves to make this last longer than a week! :emoticon 0111 blush:
As Told By Ginger Nicksplat GIF by NickRewind
This is just about the color I got! Called Dutch Tulip Red!

Pat: Sorry your team didn't fair so well in the football game today. Like you said... our MSU Spartans WON. It wasn't pretty at all, but a WIN is a WIN. They are 7 & 0. Not a bad record.
Have fun making your super-duper Antipasto Salad for the gang.
By the way I saw the latest pictures of Missy & Jimmy's house. WOW.... they really are moving along. That stone work on the front looks great. (Too bad EL' cheapo won't let you get it for your house) :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: Love the roof tile color too. You can tell they've upgraded the colors in that subdivision since you moved in. Looking good!

Karen: I showed Art the picture of your hair color and he said "Tell her it looks really good"! So there you are kiddo. If Artie likes then you're okay. Have a safe trip.

Lee: Good to know you were able to cut up the pizza for some snacks. Great idea.

DAVE: If this weather continues like it's going Kathi will be able to TRY out her new Snow blower Toy sooner than she thinks.
200.gif
YOU DID SAY SHE BOUGHT THE BIGGEST ONE .... RIGHT?? LOL

Night all............from Pure Michigan!
Sure glad I changed out the bedding to a warmer comforter early today! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Saying good night from Belleview....we are leaving at 7:30 in the morning for the airport, so I won't get a chance to check in before I leave....catch up with you all on Thursday!

Hoping there's not a mob awaiting you at the airport KC.

Yup it's fall around here. Starting in the 40's and not even getting into the 60's today. Definitely not a shorts day, which is why I'm staying indoors.

You are so right K2 that people are getting reckless in protecting themselves and others from Covid. Happy for you that the Spartans won. Your mention of your manicure made me think of deal-breakers in dating in my younger years. Long fingernails was one of them along with fake eyelashes, nose rings, or multiple earrings in each ear. It's a heavy plastic green wheelbarrow.

Nice to have an IT in the family isn't it, BB? Sorry about the Gators' performance. Is a "firestick" anything like a dowsing-stick?
1f601.png

Lee; I've learned with all my battery powered tools that it's best to recharge their batteries when I put that tool away, so it's always ready to go. I like that idea of bite-sized square pizza pieces.

Kathi ordered a new Halloween shirt that arrived yesterday. It shows a witch riding her broom, with the caption of, "Why yes actually I can drive a stick".

Slowly working on my collection of ice creams. First was "lemon bar". Now I'm working on "darkest chocolate".
