Re: Weekend Open House - Part 2
Hoping this one doesn't get lost......
Good Morning. Yes it is a good morning and we are in a beautiful place to remember and to share memories of a beautiful woman. Thank you Charles for having us all together. It has been wonderful to read all of the tributes and to see all of the photographs that have been posted. I hope those of you that have posted photos don't mind if I steal one or two of them. I was in the process of making a FRIEND word book for Mary Ann but now I will make the book about my friend Mary Ann and keep it for myself. Not that I need a book to remember Mary Ann....she was unforgettable!
I have my two little furry friends with me this morning. They are over the moon to find themselves in Hawaii. They are looking for Mary Ann and Pucci though and it is very difficult to explain to them what has happened. They brought some of their favourite biscuits to share with their pals...Potato and Duck treats. I think they believe that the biscuits are for ducks as well as dogs and don't realize they are made with duck! LOL
As I type this I would love to sip away on the morning Mama Duck special...a double Cappuccino please! It was one of Mama Duck's favourites and it's one of mine too.
My last visit with Mary Ann was at Christmas. No she wasn't here with us (how I wish that had been so) but she sent us the most beautiful arranged bouquet of fragrant flowers. I gasped with delight every time I walked through my living room and every time my eyes fell on that bouquet I felt like I was receiving a hug. The bouquet lasted well into the New Year...in fact the greenery lasted into February and in all that time I felt like Mary Ann was here with me. This tender gift was just one in a series of many lovely surprises that came from Mary Ann....but
the real gift was Mary Ann. She always gave herself completely and freely and I loved her for that.
Mary Ann, We love you and we will always miss you but you will be in our hearts and memories forever. Aloha 'Oe dear friend.
