Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

A good Sunday morning to you all.
It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. Yes, we celebrate Thanksgiving when the harvest is at its best and almost done. What a concept. Anyway, we’re getting together with friends for dinner this afternoon. There will be 6 of us. There were only going to be 4 but plans changed so now we are 6. We had picked up a dessert dessert for four. So, we hustled up to Costco for opening and found a beautiful caramel apple cake that will likely feed 100 people or more. It is from Costco after all. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I too often wonder how we ever got the “extra stuff” done when we worked Kathie. But it seems that there was a lot less stuff to go wrong. We didn’t waste countless hours on electronics and things were far better made. Case in point…your alarm system.
Anyway, time for me to hit the treadmill.
I hope all of you are doing well. Everyone have a wonderful day.

Enjoy your dinner w/ friends Lee & Lu-Ann. Yum!

Hi gang!
Sitting on the deck right now enjoying a PURE MICHIGAN DAY!

I baked an Apple Cake, did a couple of loads of wash, cut down the Hostas leaves out front on the walkway to the front door. Then cut down the Lily of the Valley leaves on the side of the house.
Got Art lunch.

Made myself an Old Fashion and am on the deck making up a grocer list.

Art had a good night. Took off his bandage dressings and took a shower. His groin area on both sides is EGGPLANT PURPLE. Must have put a tourniquet on both legs to stop blood flow while doing surgery.

Reminded me of what my thigh looked like after my knee surgery. Art’s throat is much better.

Mike & Karen hope you are having a good day.

Karen: How was garden clean up at church? Hope you got a few folks to help you.
Hope the guitar lady is still helping the choir out.

Later gang.

I too often wonder how we ever got the “extra stuff” done when we worked Kathie.
Lee, Kathi did you ever stop to think that it takes you much much longer to do things than it used tol
Lee Yes, we celebrate Thanksgiving Do you celebrate July 4th???

I tried to edit the above but I was too late so retyping it here

I too often wonder how we ever got the “extra stuff” done when we worked Kathie. Lee, Kathi, did you ever stop to think that it takes you much much longer to do things than it used to Kathi, Don't you think you should have made the grocery list before you had your old fashion ?????

Yes, we celebrate Thanksgiving. Lee, Do you celebrate July 4th???
Happy Thanksgiving
Hi karen

Has any one checked the full moon this past week?

Quick check in, Barb goes in tomorrow for her outpatient surgery. We have to be there at 8:30, much better than the 6 am time we had before. I'm sure it will be a long day for us but I will try to check in once we get home

Well, I just lost a nice post.

Karen: I’ll be adding Barb to my prayers tonight and hope that all goes smoothly with her surgery on Monday. It sure has been a rough long time for this to heal. Not easy on Barb or you. Take care.

Mike: I liked your remark to Lee about celebrating 4th of July! I often think our Lee is more American than we are! Ha ha.

Out of here for now. It’s been a long, but productive day! I’ll sleep good tonight.

Good morning.
I see our Dave’s “Marvin” popped up under today’s birthdays. One more reason I wish they’d get rid of that so called feature.
I’m a little later getting here this morning. I was looking around for Kathie’s lost post while Ava and I were out on our early walk.
You sure did have a busy and productive day Kathie. We were saying yesterday how this crazy warm weather is mucking with the plants. Things that should be done and ready for trimming back are still growing and in some cases blooming! How was that old fashioned?
We’ll be keeping Barb, indeed all of you, in our thoughts and prayers today Karen. When you get a chance let us know how things went.
We do celebrate July 4th Mike. But we do it on July 1 and call it Canada Day. ;) Actually, between the 1st and 4th of July there are usually some cross border celebrations between Windsor and Detroit.
Dinner last evening was wonderful. Definitely no shortage of food, drink and most importantly, laughter.
You all have a fantastic Monday!

I'm not one to do "Heavenly Birthdays", but it was heartwarming to see our Dave's Marvin on that crazy pop-up.

First off to answer Lee's most important question: How was the Old Fashion? It was perfect! Made with love! Sad thing is I don't have any more "Premium" Bourbon to make any more! That could be a good thing! :emoticon 0136 giggle:

Karen: Thinking about Barb this morning and sure hope all goes well for her. She could use a break from all this. You take care of yourself during all these stressful times.

Lee: We have Petunias that look perfect and then there are other plants that just can't handle the cold nights. Hate to see all them all gone soon. Have I mentioned (at least a thousand times) I HATE WINTER.
Good to know your dinner get together went off well. Nothing better than FRIENDS CHATTERING and EATING together.

It's chilly here this morning, but temps are rising SLOWLY. It's bright and sunny and that makes a difference.

I need that 2nd cup of JAVA. JOIN ME. Later folks. Bottom's Up!:beercheers:

Nothing says Thanksgiving like 72F and taking the day to give thanks that I had lots of window cleaner and paper towels to clean the windows inside and out. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Hey, it’s gotta be done.
Lu-Ann got out the indoor Halloween decorations to add a festive touch to the house.
And now, a nice glass of wine.

Barb's surgery went well, we got there a little before 8:30 and they were taking her to surgery about 9:45, surgery was a little over an hour and by 1:00 we were headed home. Thanks for all the prayers, they are sure working! When I dropped Barb off to park the car she went inside to wait by the elevators for me, as she was sitting there the elevator opened & out walked 1 of the nurses who hast taken care of her both times she's been in that hospital! She is the sweetest thing & gave Barb a big hug & asked how she's been doing. That really got our day off to a great start

I', glad Barb's surgery went well. That was very sweet of the nurse.
Our grass was cut this morning, I will be cut 2 more times which is par for the course. when I cut t he grass some time in November was the last time I cut it.
I hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather, I t hink it will end here in a few days.
I hope you enjoyed your wine Lee, it sounds like you deserved it.
I joined you for coffee Katthie and the coffee was very good.

Coming back to read the report from Karen on her sister Barb. Sounds like it went smoothly. Hope this does the trick. Watch it closely!

Mike: Our lawn just got the final weed & feed for the long Winter on Friday. I think it will be getting cut a few mire times. And soon we will see all the Maple tree leaves falling big time. That reminds me I need to BUY SOME of those paper lawn bags.

Lee: Our windows need getting done too. Come on over any time. Ha ha.

Good morning.
Thank you for dropping by with an update on Barb Karen. Hopefully she’ll now be on the road to a full recovery. Awfully nice of that nurse to take a moment to brighten both of your days!
I may try to get the fall fertilizer down here Friday Mike. We’re supposed to have light rain Saturday and Sunday so that will help take it into the ground. After that I may need another cut.
I’m hoping that takes care of the outside of the windows until spring Kathie. I know sometimes the insides can be done on a nice winters day if the glass isn’t too cold. I did do both inside and out yesterday. The west, north and south got done before lunch and the east got done after lunch. I just worked where the direct sun wasn’t. The houses on either side cast a little shade on the north and south. Lu-Ann cleaned the baseboards to keep herself busy.
Today is games day here. Which reminds me, I best get some beer for the guys!
Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone.

Good morning!

Not much going on over here today.
I really should give the outside windows a washing if the temps get decent. I use a extension rod and it does a good job on the windows I can’t reach. The inside windows can get done anytime.

Lee: Have a fun time with the “Games” today.

I’m on hold with my Orthopedic Dr’s scheduling office. Need to get a injection in my Left Knee. It lasts quite a long time. Last injection was 18 months ago. I’m still not ready to get a knee replacement!

Okay, got an appointment for tomorrow ( Wed) at
8:15 a.m.! It’s a tad early, but you take what you can get.

48 degrees here @ 8:47 am. Brrr. Sunny/blue skies make it bearable. Hope it warms up so I can do those darn windows outside.

Karen: Hope Barb is doing well today. You take care!

Off to get some coffee.

Lee, we have our lawn fertilzed 3 times a year, front and back plus weed killer and crabgrass killer/preventer. I used to do it all, then Fay did it a few times, now we hire it done. That is why we saved for our old age. I hope you had an enjoyable game day and you got your beer.
Kathie, hope the knee injection goes well. I have had them in my hips and back but never knees.
It got into the 70s again today. I can do that until May then warm up.

I know you’ll be up early in the morning for your appointment Kathie. We hope that the shot gives you relief!
We don’t have a huge property Mike. I don’t mind at all cutting the grass, trimming and doing the fertilizer while I can. It keeps me a little active which is a good thing. There will come a day when we’ll look for a younger person to take care of the yard work.
There were only six of us for games day. But I like that size of a group. We played Uno Flip, had a few snacks, beverages and laughed.
Fingers crossed that Barb continues to get better Karen.
Have a good night everyone.

Never did get those DARN WINDOWS done today! :emoticon 0104 surprised: There's always another day. They'll still be there!:emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Made to Costco and got a pkg of Leaf Bags and a few other items. It was a CROWEDED today. The Sample Ladies were out in full force. Art came with me and made the rounds to most all of the Samples and I just went and got the items on my list. I've learned to make a list for COSTCO, or the final bill will be out of sight! Ha Ha.

Mike posted: That is why we saved for our old age.
You've got that right Mike. Can't take it with you, so might as well make life easier for yourselves. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Out of here for now.
Gotta get up at 6:30 am. That'll help me get ahead of morning Rush Hour Traffic to the other side of town!

Good morning.
No doubt you are safely on your way by now Kathie. I have two “grocery lists”. One for the regular grocery stores and one for Costco because if I don’t have a list we end up with way too much unnecessary stuff in the cart. Lu-Ann hates shopping with me for just that reason. If the list has 10 items I make ten stops. I’m a hunter. My sweetie is a gatherer and leaves no aisle unvisited. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Good morning Karen and Mike.
Have a good day everyone.

Got in and out of Dr’s office fast. Numbed my knee and gave me the “cocktail” mixture of 4 different drugs. Didn’t feel a thing. I took this dear Dr a Banana Bread. (He’s Serbian, but doesn’t go to our church)
A gal in our choir gave me his name and the guy is so nice! He gave me his cell number when I first went to him and said just CALL HIM if I have any concerns. Never had to do that.

Lee: I am a LIST PERSON TOO. And I make 2 lists. :D

I am also a HUNTER. I can make it through all of Costco before Art get’s through the stuff on the first wall when you walk in ! He’s way too slow for me.

I packaged up my 1/2# pkgs of ground beef and vacuumed sealed them. Got 12pkgs.
Always good to add to spaghetti sauce!

Today I’m using 2 packages for Shepherd's Pie. It should be Ground Lamb, but that’s hard to find so Grnd beef will have to do.

Later gang.

Karen. I see you’ll have temps in the lower 80’s for a couple of weeks. NICE!
I’m ready to come down. Tell Barb she needs to heal and give up the guest room! Haha.
If only you didn’t have the kitty I’d be inviting myself! Ha ha.

Later
