Thanks for the shutterfly suggestion Nancy. One of the few remaining camera shops does prints from a thumb drive or phone and you get them in a few minutes!

Good evening. A few times today we have had some thunder but no rain. Have watched the Xfinity race qualifying, then after an hour Cup practice and qualifying and now getting ready for the Xfinity race. don't know if I will make it thru the whole race or not. These later starts are hard on me.

All have a good night.

Lee; CVS makes photos from your cell phone pictures. Not sure about ‘sticks’. I’ve made photos from my pictures that are on my cell phone to my printer. I have photo paper.
Still don’t know how I pulled it off! I’ll have to try it again. Ha ha .

Lee: I went into my photos and clicked on the one I wanted to print. Then I pressed a square icon to send it and when that page came up I pushed upward to find an area that said PRINT. I had the photo paper in the printer and it made a semi-gloss photo for me.
Not sure any of this will make any sense to you! My cell phone is an Apple.

Lee: Here’s a picture of what the second page looked like after I pushed upward to see more.
I choose “PRINT WITH HP SMART! ( that’s the kind of printer I have)

Not sure any of this will help you. Try a CVS drug store or Walgreens if you have them by you!

So happy BB that Bert's problem has been found and corrected. Sucks though that he's an hour away. Please keep us up to date on his recovery. And ALSO how you are doing. I have no idea how long a recovery is for a new hip. Weeks, months?

I looked up in the sky last evening and saw an unusual sight. It was almost completely blue. The rest of the wildfire smoke should move out of this area today.

I see that the Buffoon has reverted to his usual behavior when he's in trouble.......turning it into a reason for fund raising. He never misses a chance to put bucks in his pocket.

I do enjoy a lot of Taylor Swift's music Lee, but this old fart would have difficulty lasting through a 3 hour concert.

For now, it's off to meet the day.......OR.......go back to bed. Place your bets boys & girls.

Good morning.
Wanted to see if we had any good news updates about Bert.
Thanks for the photo info as well Kathie. Problem being we have an older printer that does an “OK“ job on photos and I don’t have any photo paper. Our printer was top of the line back when we got it but we rarely use it for anything more than “documents” so haven’t upgraded for ages.
My money is on ”back to bed” Dave.
We started to watch the latest Avatar movie on Disney last night. It wasn’t that great so we stopped about 1/2 an hour in. That means we missed the final 2 3/4 hours of the 3 plus hour film. Betcha you wouldn’t last through that either Dave.
Ava and I did a 1 3/4 km walk this morning. I don’t know if we’ll get out much today because it’s supposed to rain all day.
Be good folks.

Good morning. Well I did not see the end of the race last night. Fell asleep.

Guess we will be going to lunch and I think that today I want Longhorn. Then this afternoon is the Cup race.

All have a great day.

Good morning, everyone! Beautiful morning here, but we know that's not going to last. We ran into torrential rain on I-4 coming home from the hospital yesterday.

Speaking of the hospital, the one Bert is in is HUGE. They even have a Disney building which is the children's hospital. We might have to explore it today!

When we got to the hospital yesterday, Bert had just gotten back in the room. The nurses were still getting him settled in. He was still so groggy and still high as a kite from the meds. It really was funny to listen to him. And no, before you ask, we did not take videos of this to show him later. He finally couldn't keep his eyes open, so we left to let him get some sleep.

We'll be getting ready to head for the hospital in a few minutes. Hopefully, by now they've gotten Bert out of bed and starting to walk around with the walker. That's going to determine when he'll be coming home. I'll keep you posted ...

Dave - Glad the shies are clearing up by you. Now you can go outside once again, if you want to.

Lee - Had you seen the first Avatar movie? Missy said that if you haven't, you're not going to understand or like the second one. She actually sat through the entire movie and actually liked it.

Kathie - I love your lil t picture. I wouldn't be surprised if the powers that be don't eventually get a court order to dig exhume Evana's body, if it's even there.
By the way, even before he got hurt, Bert was not able to do any breakdancing! LOL Man has never been a dancer of any kind.

Just about time to get ready to head for the hospital once again. I'll try to stop back later. have a wonderful day, gang!

Glad to hear that Bert has that new hip and hope his recovery period is not too lengthy. I simply had the fracture repaired and am still having mobility issues a few years later though the PT is helping. May find out this week how much longer it will be covered by our insurance and what will be involved in continuing it.
Yesterday we managed to make it to both the christening celebration and the 1st birthday party without getting drenched by the occasionally heavy rain showers. One outcome of the visit to the christening party was a decision to join Rita's youngest sister and her family for a week in Aruba in mid August. Looking forward to spending some time on one of our favorite islands.
My memories of the 1st Avatar movie are vague but enouth to avoid seeing it.
It is very sad to see that Trump still has so much appeal to so many Republicans that few of his likely opponents for the nomination have the gumption to call him out for his misdeeds.

So, is Bert home yet? It’s amazing how quickly the medical community gets people up and on their feet after major procedures.
Yes Pat, we did see the first Avatar movie. Heck, we even visited Pandora and rode the banshees at WDW but, the first half hour of this movie just did nothing to hold our interest.
”Aruba. One Happy Island” as I recall their license plates saying Bill. We sure enjoyed our stops when we cruised there.
Most NASCAR events have that effect on me Nancy. ;)
Finally getting some much needed rain.
Hi to all the rest of the gang.

Hi Gang!
Pat hope you got to talk with Bert earlier today. How’s he doing? Hopefully, the hospital is work on his “other issue” while he’s in there. Saves a lot of running around that he really can’t do now.
Tell him that Art & Kathie said HELLO and wish him a speedy recovery. Hope G&E make the effort to go see him. ;)

Lee & Dave … you two really do get up EARLY! o_O Bless you both.

We have had a WET, DREARY and cold day here! It would have been a good day to have a pot of STEW or SOUP!

Bill: Glad you made it to both celebrations. I liked Aruba when we were there years ago. Food in town was great at certain restaurants. Not sure I’d be in a rush to visit these days. They have there drug issues. as much as the USA I guess.

I watched Novak win his 23rd Gran Slam. He’s one talented and giving person. Does a lot for Serbia and the needy families and schools.

Made a batch of Blueberry scones after we had Blueberry Pancakes for breakfast. I over bought on SALE BLUEBERRIES! Ha ha.

Karen: You doing okay girl?

Off to get my sleepwear on and a robe. Time to get comfortable.

By the way Art did see
Avatar 1 and said it was the best movie he had seen in a long time. Go figure!

GOOD NIGHT FROM WET & COLD MICHIGAN.

Tired as can be, but wanted to give you all an update on my man. Bert is doing great! They had him up this morning and while we were there this afternoon gal said that he might be going home tomorrow. Missy has been trying to get everything ready for his homecoming. She's washing the sheets and blanket to make sure there is no bacteria in the bed. We will have to make some adjustments though. He was told that he needs to sleep on the left side of the bed, so her will get his good foot out of bed first. Problem is that I have to sleep on the left side of the bed with all the equipment I need to use. We are going to have to turn the bed around, so he can be on the left side and If I sleep on the foot of the bed, I too will be able to get out of the bed on the left side. And no, Kathie, we are not going to be sleeping in separate bedrooms. I know you will suggest that. We will make this work. Only problem will be where the heck will the cat sleep????
Almost forgot to mention that Gary came to see Bert today too.

Time to get off here and see about getting ready for bed. Tomorrow may be a big day around here.

First up; Congratulations Lee! Last night a Canadian won Canada's Golf Open for the first time in half a century. And WOW what a final putt he made to do it. A 75 footer. (I'm lucky to hit a 5 foot putt.) And the crowd went NUTS.

Hoping to hear more updates on Bert, and you too BB. It would be so nice if he gets to come home today. The cat....It will sleep anywhere it damn well pleases. :)

Aruba. That's a nice destination to look forward to, Bill. Lucky you.

Thanks for another great picture, K2.

Scooter still doing good, KC?

Yes, our skies are clean, and we got our first rain in over 3 weeks yesterday. I was beginning to think we lived in a desert.

So many people, including me, just wish the Buffoon would go away. But his creepy need for attention just will not let that happen.

I get a kick out of his habit of showing off his shiny jet to show people how super rich he is. What he doesn't tell people is that it's over 30 years old. And he didn't even buy it new. A European passenger airline did. And then they sold it to another airline in Mexico. (Hauling around the Orange Man's favorite people....Mexicans.) THEN the Buffoon bought it, slapped on a new paint job and put in golden seats.

What a guy.

Great news to start the day Pat! Slow and steady once Bert gets home. I sure hope that the kids are there for both of you!
Yes Dave, that was quite the moment when Nick Taylor dropped that putt from, oh, the next county over to win The Canadian Open. By the way, how's Kathi doing?
A good showing by the Hendrick Motorsports operated Garage 56 NASCAR based Camaro in the 24 Hours of LeMans Nancy. Driven by Jimmie Johnson (NASCAR), Jenson Button (F1) and Mike Rockenfeller (Endurance racing) they put on a VERY credible drive to finish.
Hi everyone!

RISE and SHINE WRABBITS..... it's another COLD 54F temp in Pure Michigan. But at least we got some rain that helped bring down some of the air pollution and watered the STRAW-LIKE GRASS!

PAT: Amazing how fast they kick people out of the hospital these days. Don't even send a HIP REPLACEMENT patient to Rehab. Crazy. Hopefully, they will send out somebody to the house to make sure Bert is doing what he's suppose to be doing. All the best with the BED situation.
Just happy the operation is done and Bert is on his way to recovery.
PS: Nice that Gary did get to visit his Dad.

DAVE & LEE: I watched the Canadian Open and saw that LONG WINNING PUTT. FANTASTIC. The ground was wet and it was raining and he pushed it a little more and it worked.
The two players were tied and it was comical how they had to keep RE-Playing that 18th hole. BACK AND FORTH. At least they drove them in a cart to the tee and they didn't have to walk in the rain. He sure made CANADA PROUD!

TORONTO (AP) — Nick Taylor tossed his putter into the air and jumped into the arms of caddie Dave Markle after he made a 72-foot eagle putt to become the first Canadian in 69 years to win his national open, and he doesn’t remember any of it.
He did have a BLANK look on his face when the ball went in for a few seconds. And then realized what he had done! WOW. He'll go down in history.

Equally as good was the Tennis Match that NOVAK (the Serbian) won. It was his 23rd Grand Slam. Great match to watch.

I got a 8:00 a.m. call from one of my doctors that the appointment TODAY needed to be cancelled. Well isn't that ducky. After 4 REMINDER e-mails all week and weekend the DOCTOR had something come up! Lordy, now if I called and cancelled I would be billed a cancellation fee. Wonder if I can do the same to the dear doctor! Not a chance.

Okay, I'm off to make some Cream of Wheat w/Blueberries on top. It's cold enough to make something warm this morning.

You all have a good day.
PAT, I know you will be happy to get your "MAN" back home. Amazing how fast all that happened. Glad it worked out for Bert and hopefully he will be pain free and back to his old self real soon. Make sure he drinks lots of WATER! Ha Ha.... you had to know I'd throw that in sooner or later.

Good morning. It should be a quiet day. Will be doing laundry in a bit.

Pat, I hope things go well for Bert. I know it may not be easy BUT it may be best for you two to sleep in
separate bedrooms for awhile, as with changing sides may make it very hard for both of you to sleep.

Yesterday Bruce defrosted the freezer of the fridge in the garage and so I pulled out a couple of things to fix this week.

All have a great day.
