Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good evening folks.
Yes, the lead story on the news here has been the smoke and how it is reaching not only our neighbours to the south but Greenland and Iceland as well.
I never seem to reach out to my old high school at the right time for their reunions Bill. Last year should have been the 50th reunion but there was still this little thing called Covid effecting gatherings. Erindale was brand new when I started grade nine so we were the first full graduating class.
Art “looked at you like you were nuts” (anybody else hear Tony laughing?) but did he stay off the bike today? I sure hope so. It sounds like you had a nice visit. It’s the company, not the food that people remember Kathie.
If the smoke makes it to FL I wouldn’t be surprised if DumbSantis taxes Canadian visitors because of it Pat! Seriously though, I hope it doesn’t because I think of you and your breathing issues. Did you get the rains sooner or later?
Does the grocery store ever call you if they’re short of ice cream to ask if you have any extra Dave? Funny, no matter how advanced electronic gizmos have become we still do what we did with our first computers. Unplug them, wait a few minutes and plug them back in.
Hopefully you’re finally going to get some relief from your aches and pains Nancy.
I’m waiting to see the finished paint job on Linda’s shed too!
I reckon we’ll be off to the grocery store ourselves tomorrow. Other than that I don’t know what mischief may find me.
You all have a good one.

Good evening. Well got the shot for the trigger finger and for some reason the middle finger went numb too, but it was over by about 3 1/2 hours and the index is coming out of the numb. The Dr was running very late today and when he was finished he apologized for the lateness. How many Dr's actually do that. Don't go back for 6 weeks. Also canceled my appt for tomorrow because it was to see how the injection went with the Pain Specialist, but since what he did was a test for a different thing tomorrow would not be worth it. So after I do get whatever for my neck I will see the Dr.

PT was not bad and I have set for my next two appts which I was told they are the last approved, so I know the second one will be evaluation.

Well in the last ten minutes we got .66 inches of rain. Enough.

Saw this morning that desantis points have gone down to the negative, his is at -19. I know things can change but that tells me people are not liking what he is saying.

All have a good night.

Not much to gab about today. Didn't do nothing, and never left the house due to the smoke in the air yesterday.

Like you K2, our worst smoke is today and tomorrow. In the meantime it's recommended that people stay inside without any doors or windows open. Plus set your furnace/air-conditioner fan to "ON" so it will run all the air through your filter. Pets won't be pleased but they should only go outside for potty breaks. No walks. One doctor recommends not using your bathroom fan or oven fan if it vents to the outside because your air/heating system will replace that air with the outside polluted air.

How can you be friends with that lady K2 for 54 years when you aren't 54 years old yet?

Somehow I CAN believe that you graduated from high school 65 years ago, Bill.

BB; I often think the high population in Florida was made possible by only one invention. Air conditioning.

Lee; Plan B to get something to work.......give it a good smack.

Hi to the rest of you Bunnies!

TRY to be good.

Good morning! We have a "marginal risk of severe weather" today. What the heck does that mean???

Lee - Your comment -
Art “looked at you like you were nuts” (anybody else hear Tony laughing?) totally cracked me up. I'm sure Tony would have been all over that remark. Good call on your part. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Kathie - I thank you for calling our attention to the fact that your internet isn't working. I have trouble with my connection all the time. Seeing as how Gary moved, now I have to wait for Wesley to come back from Texas to figure out the problem.

Dave - I definitely don't blame you for staying in the house with all that smoke out there. Seeing pictures from NYC is so unreal. It looked like something out of a science fiction movie with that orange sky!
I could not imagine living in Florida without AC. It totally amazes me how many people put the windows down in their car instead of using the AC. I think most of those we see here that do that are from Puerto Rico where they didn't have AC in most of the homes. That's what they're used to. Heck, we're so used to central AC that I don't think I could stand a window AC any longer. Especially the noise when it's running.

Bill - You're lucky your high school still exists. Things changed so much in Jersey City that people stopped sending their kids to the school I went to. Tuition got too high and the area was no longer desirable. There also were fewer Sisters of Charity in the school. Thus it closed. They now have group reunions clumping various classes together every 5 years. I only found out about the most recent one because a childhood friend went to it. She said that each class honored had only 1 table of alumni. I don't thing they know I'm still alive!

Nancy - I can't even imagine your monthly calendar with all those doctor appointments penciled in, plus the PT appointments. You must fill the whole month with things! We never got a drop of rain yesterday. Skies got real dark, there was lots of thunder, but nothing came of it here. We swear that Lake Toho has something to do with storms here. They seem to go around the lake and regroup on the other side. Really weird.

Missy just pulled in the driveway, so I better post this before I forget it!

The comcast guy looked around outside came back inside and looked at the wiring in the basement and that was it. The STUPID INTERNET CAME BACK ON without him doing anything. HATE when that happens.
Now I get to return the Modem I bought this morning at Best Buy just in case it was the issue. I HATE COMPUTERS. WHY???? Because I don't know enough about them to fix them! :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

PAT: When I wrote that sentence, I was thinking that our dear "TONY" would have jumped on that ASAP! Ha Ha. Miss that guy more and more.

Later gang. I need to go get a bottle of water and HYDRATE! WOW... that a jug of water!
Water Stay Hydrated GIF

Good afternoon. This morning went to Walmart and had a list of two things, $200 later I was leaving. I did get fruit and just made a fruit salad, got the meats and cheeses to make Antipasto salad and some other things.

Looks like the afternoon rain is getting close, who knows.

My index finger was not numb this morning but where the shots went in does hurt some, especially if I bang it.

I moved to Florida when I was 16. My Dad had bought a small motel on Clearwater Beach. We had 12 rooms, and the only thing between us and the beach was the road and parking lot. When people would stop in and ask where our pool was we would tell them across the street and it stretched for 1000 miles. I had the one bedroom in the owners apt and if an ac unit would go out in one of the rooms, mine a/c would be taken out and pit in until we either got it fixed or replaced, so I did go at times for days without ac. But having been used to the heat of Albany, NY I was okay. Most of my friends did not have a/c in their homes. They had been born in Fl so were used to no a/c. Now there is no way I can go without a/c.

My high school class is planning on having a reunion this Sept. it is 55 years since we graduated. And last year they torn down and rebuilt almost all of the school, while school was going on. So they used a bunch of trailer for classes. One thing for sure was when I went there were a bunch of rooms without a/c and because the buildings were so close there was very little air flow.

Found out yesterday that I only have two more PT times so they are next week. The DR would have to request more from the insurance for me to get more. So the calendar won't be as full of appts.

All have a great day.

Is today the day we have a pity-party for the Buffoon and his legal troubles? NAH, I didn't think so.

I HATE COMPUTERS. WHY???? Because I don't know enough about them to fix them!
:emoticon 0101 sadsmile:
Don't worry about it K2, I can barely use them. At least it's working.......For now.

BB; Our problem with wildfire smoke in the air may be coming to an end. The winds picked up a little yesterday pushing the smoke away from this area by late Sunday. And come late Sunday or Monday it's suppose to rain for the first time in over 3 weeks. That should wash the smoke residue off of plants, lawns and trees. I may just get out of the house next week. Is Eisenhower still president?

Well, that's it from me this morning.

Good morning.
Back from my 1.5km walk with Ava. Yep, already.
One thing lead to another yesterday and all of a sudden it was time for bed.
I did giggle in sympathy at your internet problem or “nonproblem“ Kathie. We had a car like that. It would act up until it went into the shop and then it would run just fine.
That sure sounds like an interesting and fun upbringing you had Nancy. Boy, there’s sure not many of those Mom and Pop motels around anymore.
I love the terms, like marginal chance of weather, that the weather guessers keep coming up with Pat. I’d be predicting a 100% chance of weather. I just wouldn’t commit to what kind of weather.
From what I see Dave, there are gusts of wind in Florida being caused by trump‘s lawyers running away from the buffoon’s defence teams. I do feel bad for him. OK, you caught me, no I don’t.

Don’t know what today may bring. We are trying to find a place that does actual prints of photos. We hung up our 5K medals and want to put a couple of 5” x 7” “action” photos in frames with them. It seems this digital age has effected places that provide that service too.
You all have a fantastic day whatever it brings your way.

Good morning!

Where do I start with what's going on here? Guess I should start at the beginning ... Bert complained the other day about having trouble with his "man parts", so Missy took him to Urgent Care yesterday morning. They told him he had to go to the hospital for an ultra sound, so they went to Celebration. Got there about 1:00. They finally took the ultra sound and after about 5 HOURS decided to do a CT Scan. To get the results of that, it took until after 12:00!!! The result was (1) He needs to see a urologist. and (2) HE HAS A BROKEN HIP!!! Seems that from his fall last month he must have had a hairline fracture that they couldn't see due to swelling. The CT Scan showed it. Missy called to tell me all this after 1 AM. She also said that they planned to transfer Bert to a different hospital where they do their orthopedic surgeries. They were supposed to call when they did this, but so far no call. I am a nervous wreck at this point.
Missy said he was very lucky that he went to the hospital because where the fracture is, if it got any worse, it could have ruptured a major artery which could have killed him! That's all I had to hear at that hour. Needless to say, I didn't sleep at all last night due to worrying about Bert and not knowing what's going on. Missy stayed here with me last night and will take me to the hospital when we know the surgery is completed.
Please say a prayer that the surgery goes well and that Bert comes through this ok.

That's all I've got this morning. Have a good day.

Pat, you know that we’re sending even more prayers and hugs than usual for Bert, you and the kids. Sending lots of love your way Momma Bunny.

Hugs to BERT and to PAT. Oh my goodness, I feel so bad for BERT. He's the one always caring for you PAT. Good to know they'll be transferring Bert to a hospital that does the Hip replacements. They've come a long way with that surgery. I feel so badly for both of you. So glad that Missy was able to take Bert and stay with him. Take care of yourself Pat, this will all work out. One day at a time. Hugs kiddo.

Like DAVE said it's getting a tad better outside. Cloudy here in our area, but the Sun should burn through soon. 70F right now. I actually opened the window in our bedroom bathroom for the first time in days. My Air purifier has finally made it to 100 good
particles of clean air in the house. Should be interesting to see how fast it goes down once the outside air get around the house. The electric company must love me for running that thing 24/7.

Detroit has Taylor Swift here again tonight. The amount of people and money being spent on that event and
souvenirs has to be mind boggling. Parking in some places were $80 bucks. And on top of all that the Detroit Tigers are in Town and had a game last night. More traffic.
I didn't read the newspaper yet to see how Taylor did. I do know that she gave a HUGE DONATION $$$$$$$ to the Gleaners Community Food Bank. She wanted the children that were getting Breakfast and Lunches in school to have food during the Summer when school was out. She really does care about others. Gleaners is a huge food bank in the Detroit area.

This is for the guys! :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Taylor puts on a 3 hour show. WOW.

Lee: I bet this morning was a perfect morning for a walk. Ava is one lucky pup to have you take her on her daily walks. What are you and your O.G.C. guys going to be doing next?
Anybody go into the one neighbors huge pool lately? Is that thing heated?

Jill and Mark got the electric fence put in around their property yesterday. Mr Manny just needs to be able to RUN FREE and know his boundaries and be able to get off the long leash. They really didn't want to do it, but the system they got has 10 different levels of letting him know when he's "Crossing the Line"!

Note: Their subdivision doesn't allow fences.

I'm out of here for now. I need to go and buy some GRASS SEED and Potting Soil. We have a major grass issue down by the street grass. Seems the roots from our pretty Maple trees are killing the grass. It looks horrible. But then the grass everywhere around here is SEEDING and it all looks horrible. We NEED RAIN BADLY. Haven't turned on the sprinkles for this year yet. Water is very very expensive around here.

Karen: What are you up to girl? Getting some pool time in? I'm going to make that Ramen Noodle salad today. I'll let you know how it turns out. As I remember it was always good.

PAT: TAKE CARE and hope Berts surgery will go smoothly for him. So glad he had Missy take him into the hospital. You know he had to be hurting to do that. Prayers going out your way.

Later gang. I need a COFFEE BAD.

Bert's in surgery right now. Missy & I will head for the hospital in a little while, because he'll be in recovery for about 3 hours. No need to rush there right now just to sit in his room and wait. Trying to keep things light here, but it's really hard when you are worried.

There are times when I think my calendar is more full now than when I was working, BB. With the various doctors' appointments, PT, cribbage, haircuts, family birthdays, anniversaryies and reunions I need to write them in my calendar or I'd never remember all of them.
Another gray and perhaps rainy day in store for us though the smoke has moved further south so that is less of a concern.
Nancy, I share your feelings about the apparent drop in DeSantis's approval rating but it still bothers me
that there are still so many who appear to have drunk the koolaid that he and Trump dispense. Hopefully the recent indictments will cause at least some of the Trumpers to recognize how they have been bamboozled. Though I realize that as they say "there's no fixing stupid".
Blacklist seems to be heading towards a final resolution as Reddington appears to be closing down his network and may be preparing himself and everyone for his ultimate demise. I hope that the writers do a good job of bringing the series to a suitable and credible conclusion.

The previous post must have been floating around for awhile since I missed all the posts which preceded it. Otherhwise I would definitely sent Rita's and my prayers for a good result for Bert's hip surgery. Since I've been there and done that, I can empathize with the pain he has been suffering. The PT I am doing is to deal with the continuing problems my hip has been giving me but I think I am beginning to see some progress.
Taylor Swift gave three concerts here a few weeks ago, one in the middle of a multi-hour downpour so I'm not surprised to hear that one of the concerts in Detroit lasted three hours.
I guess it is understandable why her fans are so devoted to her as she really seems to be a consummate performer who gives her audience all that they could reasonably expect from her and then- more!
Rita was in a town about twenty minutes north of here yesterday and the sun was shining but as she got closer to home the skies opened and it poured buckets. I had the reverse situation when I left the house for my PT session in pouring rain and arrived at the hospital to sunny skies. On the way back home all I could see were black clouds and hear rumbles of thunder but I managed to get home and inside before the raindrops fell. Looks like more of the same today . At least we have been rid of the irritating smoke for the time being.
Today will be a bit challenging as we try to fit in both a birthday party and a christening celebration without disappointing either of Rita's sisters who are the grandmothers of the two babies who are the object of the celebrations. Wish us luck.

Pat, sending Prayers & (((HUGS))) for you and for Bert's surgery! That is major scary that he went twice to the hospital/urgent care to get checked after the fall and they never found the broken hip.

Good afternoon. This morning I needed to go to Publix for a couple of things and Bruce said he needed me to help him at Lowes, so we went to Lowes first and he only got one thing he needed. Then to Aldi's and he got what he needed and I got what I needed. Then he said how about stopping at Ace so we did and after finally getting help they didn't have what he needed.

Lee, try this for photos: https://www.shutterfly.com/prints/?...fdR2s3QI6yKFj9UC0LBoC62AQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
I have bought from them and been very happy.

Lee, when my Dad had the motel on the weekends my Mom and I were the maids. Glad we only had 12 rooms to do.

Pat, glad that Bert was able to get to the hospital and they found his problem and now fixed. Neighbor across the street had had both knees replaced and both hips, with the second one being a problem and she had to have a third surgery on it and get another hip. But both now doing very good.

Dinner tonight will be Antipasto salad.

All have a great day.
