Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good morning. Got a good nights sleep last night. Got my shower and have been doing so much work I am sweaty. I now have 4 bags for Salvation Army, with towels, sheets , pillow cases. Guess you could say we had way to many of them. With it just being the two of us I want to get rid of as much as possible. With the bags today it means that closet is almost bare, which to me is good. I just wish I could get Bruce to get rid of things.

I will drop the bags off after my appt to get my new hearing aids. Got the call from them yesterday afternoon that the aids were in. It has only been 3 weeks since ordering.

All have a great day.

Good Thursday afternoon folks.
Pat, you nailed the doctors spot on. Come early so you can sit even longer. All that aside I hope your appointment goes well. You know that we expect a full report!
Again Nancy, hats off to you and Bruce for donating to the one charity that I believe does the best at getting things to people truly in need.
We did have a nice walk this morning Kathie. The vet did a good job on Ava’s nails. No sanding required! There were two northbound and one southbound freighters on the river. The southbound freighters travel the channel the other side of Boblo Island so often you can only see the top of the wheelhouse. I recall buying tons of the 1mil plastic drop sheets at the dollar store when we did our kitchen in Ayr. We covered everything we could think of. It helped a lot. Plus Rudy and his crew put up heavier barriers everywhere they could. Don’t forget to block your heating / cooling vents in the kitchen! The dust will get in there and blow all over your home if you don’t block them.
Big or small grocery store Dave? Any special items on the shopping list today? Now, I’m being serious when I ask this. Did the homeowner water the fresh concrete? It seems it can generate heat as it “cures” and if it’s cooled it will crack.
Dinner tonight is BBQ’d veggie burgers on fresh herb and garlic buns.
Safe camping Bill.
Did your interweb problems get resolved Karen? Hope you’re doing OK.
You all be good.

Lee: Heads up on the COVERING OF THE HEAT VENTS. I'll add that to my list of things to do.
Bought some of that plastic drop material at Lowe's. I'm not going to open it until I see if our Dollar Twenty-Five store has any. If they do, I can always return the Lowe's stuff when I'm up on "HALL RD"! The nightmare hwy! Ha Ha. Please feel free to post any suggestions to me. Even though we've been through this before in our other house and new granite and flooring in this house, you can use all the suggestions to make things easier.

GAS went DOWN to $5.27 at our Kroger's today. While I was on the local roads earlier, I couldn't believe the huge amount of traffic out there. It's excessive to say the least. Of course, we do have TONS of road detours and construction going on and the cars have to work their way around all that.

Lee: Glad you got to see the Freighters. You're lucky to be so close to the water to see them. We have drive to Lake St Clair about 45 mins from here and then there's always good sightings up at Port Huron. With gas prices we haven't done some of our DRIVES OUT to the waters edge! Miss that.
And as good as the Salvation Army is I'm not a big fan. I'll get some facts together and then post another time.

PAT: Hope all went well with your WOUND DOCTOR Appt.

HEllo to Karen!

Okay gang.......everyone take care and let's hope the Florida Belles stop by and give us some updates. :clap002:

K2 I know that Salvation Army does some things that I don't like but they do help locally whereas Goodwill seems to send many items elsewhere and so much of the money earned goes in the pocket of the guy that owns/started it. And the other more local places that I have been in are so dirty.

After getting the new hearing aids I did drop off the bags and headed home and to Publix well the rain started real bad so since home was closer I just went home and got soaked from the car to the house. In just over 30 minutes we got 2.28 inches of rain.

All have a good night.

Just a quick "Good Morning" from me today.

Never have dealt with a "wound doctor".

We went to the smaller grocery store, Lee. And as far as I know the neighbor never sprayed down the fresh concrete.

A granddaughter is coming over this morning to help Kathi weed, and dig out a cactus that the granddaughter wants. (We've been trying to kill that thing for years, but it keeps coming back.)

Last night's January 6th hearing was actually refreshing. For once the people acted in a bipartisan fashion.

Good morning, fellow bunnies! Once again, yesterday slipped away before we knew it.

Wound doctor changed the dressing on the sores on my right leg. We don't know where they came from, but doctor says they are getting better. Then he wrapped the lower leg in gauze which the nurse who comes to the house will change. This leads to something very funny, at last to me. The nurses order materials the doctor wants used and it is delivered to our house. In the past week, 2 huge boxes of supplies have arrived. Bert ended up settling up a 6 foot table in the living room to see what att the ordered. OMG! I feel like I can open a medical supply pharmacy right in my house!!LOL

Part of what made yesterday slip away was when Elaine called to say she was going to surprise Gary by coming up for his birthday. We had already told Gary we were taking him out for dinner, so we added more people, as her youngest son was also with her. We took them to the new Italian restaurant and everyone was thrilled with dinner and have lots of leftovers. Today they are all off the Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins for the day at Disney.

We were impressed with last night's hearings. They are definitely being much more honest about everything and aren't just pointing fingers to blame others. I just hope tat keeps up. Unfortunately, as already mentioned everywhere, the people who really need to hear all this were watching FOX news last night that did not cover the hearings.
Better get a move on right now. I have a home health nurse coming over within a half hour and I need to clean off the table where she puts her medical bag. Have a great day, everyone and remember - It's the weekend!!! Do something fun!!!

A late good morning. Since I did not pick up my Rx yesterday I went this morning so I could avoid the rain this afternoon. I did pick up a few things while at Publix then went to a different Walgreens and got what I wanted there, then it was to Winn Dixie for a few things.

I see that as of Sunday the US will not require Covid testing for flying in to the US. I will not cancel the appt I have until a lot closer to the date in case it changes again.

All have a great day.

It sounds like everyone is doing well. And that is important.
I had a fun trip to the dermatologist to have a couple of spots removed from my cheek, my face cheek, to be sent to the lab. As you all mentioned they want you there a minimum of 5 minutes early so they can be 65 minutes behind. I think they are in cahoots with the parking lot people.
I’m gonna cut this short. We’re heading to one of the garden centres about 30 minutes from here. They are having a car show, some food trucks, live music and sales on many of their plants. I’m hoping for lots of cars, good food, good music but a slim selection of plants…
Have a great rest of this Friday folks.

IT WAS A "LONG DAY". Got a lot done and I'm dead!
PAT: Loved your post. Sounds like you got some good doctors looking after you now. Happy about that.

Karen: Time to get the dust bunnies out from under your Cubbie! :emoticon 0111 blush: :emoticon 0152 heart:

I'm off to hit the sheets! Have a fun SATURDAY gang.

Night Sleep GIF

Good Saturday morning Bunnies!

Should be mostly sunny and warm here today. Great weather for the little whippers to get outside and play some ball. Or at least just put down their "devices". (That kinda goes for the adults too.)

I love the words, "food trucks", Lee. You know what they are selling is probably not good for you, but damn it's good.

Speaking of food; The granddaughter that came over yesterday to help Kathi do some weeding, and walk the pooches picked out pizza for lunch. Pizza Hut pizza. At least one of their employees has a sense of humor. When they went to pick it up, the guy was wearing a T-shirt that said, "Nobody has a sandwich party.".

Yes, If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be pizza.

My only goal for this morning is to hit either the treadmill or stationary bike.

Saturday Night Party GIF by myHQ
Like that really makes a difference to our HUTCH! Ha Ha. Everyday is like Saturday to us retiree's!
There are times when I wish I was STILL WORKING! Why??? Because it would mean I was younger! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Dave: I like Pizza too. Did you ever try making pizza on the BBQ? Look it up or try and find a video about it on YouTube. Too long to explain on here, but it's really good. Just takes a little extra prep time.

We're supposed to be creeping into extremely HOT weather by next week. Like the 90's. That's just WAY too hot for me. As much as I love my times in Florida I really couldn't live there or in Arizonia. 3 months would be my limit. But I sure could take 3 months
(Feb,Mar,Apr) there soon. :emoticon 0105 wink:

I have nothing more for you fantastic people now. BE SAFE and I'll be back..........

Good Morning Movie GIF
Coffee's on me today. Pour a cup and enjoy!

Good morning. Only plans for us today is going to BJ's soon for a few things. Then will watch NASCAR later.

K2, you do kind of get used to the heat if you live in Fl long enough. I have been in the South much longer than I was in the North and I sure could not take winter's in the North anymore.

Supposed to get rain again this afternoon. We really don't need it. So far for the month we have gotten over 11 inches.

All have a great day.

Good morning, gang! Today is a completely blank slate for us. Nothing is planned or required. I wonder how we will survive this!!!!
Our crew is still here. They had a so-so day at Discovery Cove yesterday and due to frequent t&l, they got vouchers to come back and do all that they paid for, including swimming with the dolphins. Considering how much this costs ($259.pp!) I think they're nuts, but, hey, that's just me thinking of more constructive ways to spend my money.
They'll be heading back to the new place around lunchtime and after they do their4th or 5th load of laundry. Why it has to be done here is weird. They have a washer & dryer at the other house. Guess they want to keep expenses down, so dump it on us!!

Dave - You had mentioned about the feelings in your legs after the stents went in. Was it a tingly type feeling and did it ever go away? Or do you just get used to it? Right now, it is driving me crazy every time I move my legs.

Kathie - Once again you are making me laugh. You b*tched all winter about the cold weather and snow. Not you are doing the same thing with the prospect of 90 degree weather. The is just no satisfying you, lady! LOL Be thankful you won't be shoveling snow this week!

Nancy - We need to make a run to BJ's too. I also want to stop at Restaurant Depot to at least pick up this month's flyer before all the early month sales are over. Enjoy NASCAR today.

Lee - Sorry you had to have a few more spots frozen off. I swear these doctors can find something every time, if they want to. I haven't heard of anyone being told, no, you don't need anything frozen off Have you?

Time to see what this crew is up to around here that I don't know about. How can you need to clean out the inside of your car every time you visit when you're only riding in the car for an hour or so? I just don't get it.

Our next door neighbor is having a garage sale of lots of tools, and who knows what all else. The guys are all heading that way to check it out.

Have a wonderful day, no matter what you're up to. Just stay safe!

NEWS FLASH::: Just found out the reason the guy next door is having a garage sale is because they are planning to put the house on the market next month! I figured as much. Know anyone who would like to live on a lake, have a boat and living in a very unique (spool) house? If they have at least $800,000. send them this way! Who knows, he might even throw in the pontoon boat to sweeten the deal!!

Ha Ha.... no pleasing this Northern Gal when it comes to weather. If I could find SUNNY and 72 degrees all the time I'd love it. They say that SanDiago is like that. It was HOT there too when we vacationed one year. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

PAT: If your family can afford to spend $259.00 PER PERSON on a theme park, they can do their laundry at their other place. Ha Ha. I bet it's just not connected if they're having the place gutted and remodeled. Any idea when they MOVE OUT for good?:emoticon 0122 itwasntme::clap002:

I've been taking knobs off the cabinets. WHY.....I just don't want to see them end up in a land fill. Somebody may want 36 Nickel colored knobs. I'm going to try and GIVE them away on one of those local sites.

Out of here for now. Later gang.

KAREN: YOU ARE officially MIA! Hope all is okay with you and your family. How's your SIL doing?

I was thinking about this;

Like the O.J. Simpson trial was, the live January 6 hearings are this summer's gotta-watch soap opera. Next one is Monday morning at 10 and then another one Wednesday evening.

No BB, I don't recall any tingling in my leg after they put in the stents. But I'm guessing it's due to your muscles getting more blood and oxygen than they are used to, and will be only temporary. Much like the tingling you feel after your leg falls asleep and then starts coming back to normal. But if I were you I'd mention it to your doctor.

My diagnosis is solely based on using SWAG. (Scientific, wild a$$ guess.)

Never have tried to make a pizza on the grill, K2. Sounds good. And don't worry about your complaining about air temperatures. It's our job as humans to complain.

Lee; It may be time to put the Mounties into action in the hunt for KC.

Another load of gravel was put down at the neighbors yesterday. And one of the workers said that the driveway is scheduled for cement on Monday.

A short summer for Jack. In a couple of weeks he's going to school. Kathi signed him up yesterday. This time she gets to do the dog training.

Now all I need to do is find a miniature cap & gown for him when he graduates.

Good morning. Got a pretty good nights sleep but was awake too early. We may go out to lunch today. Other than that will watch NASCAR and will fix cheese steak subs for dinner.

Looked at the cruise for Sept and we have 91 days until sailing. Spent most of the day yesterday looking at the Juneau web cam. And the high for the day was 53, so am glad I have bought the heavier clothes. Been in Fl for so long that I can't take cold very well.

All have a great day.

Good morning! I hope your day is off to a fantastic start. We've got a blank slate here for us today - nothing going on, no one coming to visit, no place we have to go. Nothing!! I don't know whether that's good or bad. Time will tell.

Dave - I will definitely be asking the vascular surgeon about this timgling in the legs. You might be right about having something to do with the musclesin the lower legs. We shall find out on Tuesday.

Kathie - That's funny that you think 72 would be the perfect temperature. For me, that would be too cool and I'd have a sweatshirt on all the time.

Nancy - I got a great night's sleep also. Slept through for 8 1/2 hours! It's been a long time since I was able to do that. Enjoy NASCAR today.

Well, that's about it from me right now. If something exciting comes along, I'll keep you posted (like the news that our neighbor is selling their house). Otherwise, have a wonderful day, no matter what you have planned.

Good ALMOST AFTERNOON.
We've been up early and busy moving the big refrig into the foyer. It wasn't easy, but it's done. Much better than having it anywhere else right now. Got it all filled back up and it's humming......at least it is for now! NO ICE since there is no water connections! DUH!

Kids are coming over to help take down the Microwave. Not quite positive on just where it will go. I have a few hours to think on that one.

It's 73F and SUNNY!

DAVE: How fun for Jack to go to Summer School with Kathi! Hope he's a quick learner. What are some of the things that he needs help with?
And regarding the Jan 6th "summer series"..... I'll watch them only because I don't know how to record show on our "Smart TV"! Ha Ha. I think I should join JACK in Summer School! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
And the other reason I'll watch them is that I'm sure they won't be having re-runs.

Nothing will come of these investigations no matter how much they have on all these CROOKS, LIARS, etc. Lots of money spent to just write it down in a history book and give the big TV channels something to YAP about for weeks.
You notice they've already stopped talking about the 19 people that got murdered in Uvalde. SAD how quickly it becomes OLD NEWS.

PAT: Enjoy your FREE DAY. But something tells me that some part of that gang of yours will spoil your quiet day. Glad you got some sleep last night. If I slept for 8.5 hours Art would be calling the funeral director thinking I was DEAD! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Negc has posted a lot of nice pictures from the Fishing CAMP. I haven't seen a single picture with a fishing pole or fish. Mostly just sitting around the beautiful camp house and grounds.

Karen thinking of you girl. :emoticon 0152 heart:

Lee: How's that construction job that your boys went to look at for the small deck? Did they like your QUOTE! HaHa

Nancy: You will be the most READY CRUISER once the time rolls around for your Alaska cruise.

Off to buy some BEER for my Hubby and Mark. Sunday is not a good day to go to Costco, so I'm just buying a 12 pack at Kroger. Close to home.

Later gang. Enjoy your Sunday.

Good afternoon.
when calls the heart hearties GIF by Hallmark Channel

I have dispatched a detachment of The Mounties Dave. Which, as you can see, set the fair young ladies of The Burg’s hearts a-flutter. The Mounties are headed south as we speak. They always get their man so I hope they can find our Karen.
We bought a ticket on our $50 million dollar lottery Pat. If we win how much cash do you think we would need to offer your neighbour AND, as Mr. Roger’s said “would you be our neighbour?”
The doc didn’t freeze these spots off. He froze them, scraped them to send to pathology and “cauterized” the two spots. From the smell I thought he was cookin’ hot dogs. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Anyway, I have to keep the spots clean and dry until at least Monday. That does seem like a bunch of money to swim with dolphins. At least the kids got a rain cheque!
We picked up the lumber for the deck job this morning Kathie. Not sure when construction will actually get under way. The weather guessers here can’t seem to predict anything properly of late. Yesterday was pretty nice in the morning. Then, just as we were getting ready to go up 100ft (tethered) in the ReMax hot air balloon, the winds came up and grounded the rest of the days flights. Our realtor’s office had a client appreciation BBQ in the park beside Fort Malden right on the river. Would have made for some neat pictures!
So that’s what SWAG stands for, eh Dave, I agree with Kathie about the grilled pizza! Top notch stuff. Who will graduate with higher marks? Kathi or Jack?
I didn’t see too much NASCAR this weekend Nancy. I was streaming my F1 event from Baku, Azerbaijani. It was not a good weekend for the Ferrari fans.
Sure hope Bill is working on some tall fishing tales for us!
Have a great afternoon everyone.
