Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good afternoon everybunny.
Hey Tony! Good to hear from you. Busy is good, right?
The Jolly Old Elf was, as always, very good to us. Our best gift came to us early. October actually in the form of Ava.
Responsible gifts I think Pat. Too much food or booze alone is not a good thing. All of your bases have been covered. The turkey was and I think will continue to be for the foreseeable future great! With Ontario in “mock down” as Lu-Ann calls it it will be pretty quiet for the Mom and Pop retailers. For example I can’t buy a book at our “non essential” book shop but I can buy the same book at Walmart or Costco. I fear we will see more boarded up businesses in 2021. Please wish Gary and Elaine all the best for us.
We only got about 2” of snow here Dave. I shovelled the back patio for the dogs and swept the front. At 40F tomorrow I’ll let God clear the driveway. Yes, photos of Marvin please!
I send my sympathy to Art. Seems he’s not getting any from you Kathie. It was cold coming off the river this morning. I was sure not to bang the door. Oddly enough the walkways in The Navy Yard hadn’t been cleared. Much to Miss Ava’s chagrin. The odd day of doing nothing is A-OK too.
We zoomed with niece Tiffany and both Lu-Ann’s brother and sister yesterday Karen. That was kind of fun. Way nicer than a phone call!
I did this entire post on my iPad using the Apple Pencil. I write what I’m trying to say on the screen and it converts it to the text you see here. I’m looking forward to learning more about it and using it to edit photos. Technology!! The next thing you know they’ll have phones that you can use anywhere because they don’t need to be plugged in to the wall. ;)
Stay safe out of trouble everyone!

Good afternoon...still on the chilly side here today...went down to about 29 degrees...which is DANG cold for us!

I braved the cold this morning to hit a few stores looking for after Christmas bargains...didn't find much....I was VERY surprised at the lack of crowds in the stores...and even lack of traffic on the roads...guess the cold weather kept most people inside...

Kathie, even though I'm not a fan of crepe's your breakfast did look quite yummy yesterday! Hope Art feels better soon!!

Dave, that is a pretty cool gift....and I'm guessing it won't get filled with candy & whacked with a stick anytime soon...

Pat, nice that you have your own personal left over clean up team....nothing like a couple of growing boys to put an end to left over food...

Lee, hope you had a nice send off for your dearly departed turkey....Christmas is at my house next year & I am really thinking about doing something other than ham...

Tony, glad to hear you & Nancy had a nice Christmas...I know you will enjoy bringing in the New Year from McCloud...

Time to go make some hot choc. or coffee & try to warm up....later gang!

Dinner and a gift exchange was at our house. Lots of love in our home from my bubble. Several of us had tears running down our face at different times, tears of joy and love. Everyone was in a very happy mood

One of my gifts yesterday was a cold shower. Our hot water heater chose yesterday to fail.

Matthew and Patti brought over their new truck. Chevrolet Colorado XR 2 with a small diesel that they ordered on Halloween. They are now a two diesel family. The other one is a Ford F350 one ton pickup.

Hot water heater will be installed tomorrow.

Happy Boxing Day everyone.

We’re still watching “Yellowstone”. Made popcorn this time around.

SAN: I’m doing my best to be a “Lady” and hold back on my comments about your COLD SHOWER GIFT! :D
You guys don’t need to feel sorry for Art. He’s just lucky he has a pulled Hamstring and he didn’t break a leg or hip on that dang bike. If that happens he’ll really need all your “get-well wishes”. Ha ha.
You all sleep tight and you Wrabbits in Florida put on some extra blankets and stay warm.
Back to the movies.

Time for me to shut down this computer for the night. G&E just left with their gang. Boy, can they go through food!!!
Time to get my jammies on and get comfy for the evening. Definitely not going to be a late night. Se you tomorrow as things kind of return to normal, whatever that is these days.

Have a good night and stay safe!

:)

Hi there you adorable Bunnies.

Kathi said she'll try to post a picture. And you a right KC, the Marvin The Martian pinata isn't going to get whacked with a stick. He's just too handsome.

I'm not sure, but I think K2 and Lee have found a trick to get to the top of pages. That's 3 times in a row, Lee.

Hell of a day for your water heater to take a dump, San.

There's one thing BB, with your kids and grandkids around you sure don't need a garbage disposal.

Never did get out the snow-blower yesterday. I was too sore. As a matter of fact, Kathi and I have been taking turns falling in the snow. She told me yesterday that it was my turn again.

NORMALLY we just open the back door and out the pooches go to do their business. And to get them back inside all I have to do is whistle. (We do make sure the 3 steps are clear of snow and ice.) But "Fuzzbutt" likes to hit the steps at a run. BUT the snow on her paws made her slip and crash on them 1 time too many, and now she's afraid of them. So when I whistle all she does is stare at me until I go out and put a leash on her and walk her in through the garage where there is carpet on the 3 steps.

Yesterday Kathi took another face plant, but she didn't get hurt in the soft snow. On Christmas Eve I went down and landed on my rib cage. No ribs broken. But I must have had my arm between the ribs and the ground. Because my right pec, (boob muscle), feels like it's been hit with a baseball bat. Making it painful just to breath.

Someday I'll learn to fall gracefully. :)

So Dave, while you two kids are down do you make snow angels? Great
piñata!
Dang. Bear wants out. He always waits until I’m trying to do something.
Back in a bit.

Good morning, gang! We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave!! After yesterday's chilly weather today's 61 degrees feels downright balmy!!

Dave - Between you, Kathi & Fuzzbutt, I don't think snow and ice are your friend. Y'all need to move somewhere that doesn't get those conditions. I hope all your aches and pains go away quickly. Otherwise, get an x-ray to be sure you didn't crack anything. After all, look what happened to Bill.
Love your pinata. Marvin is looking good!!

San - Sounds like you and the family had a very special Christmas this year. Glad you could all get together. In case I don't catch you before you leave, have a safe trip to McCloud and have a wonderful time with your family. I bet you could make snow angels up there!

Lee - So how long are you going to be eating that turkey? On Thanksgiving M&J brought over a 20 lb smoked turkey that Jimmy had been given by an Orlando firehouse to have Bert cut it up and share with us. They told Bert to freeze their share. Well, now they want us to keep it all, so I told Bert to take out the package that are sliced for sandwiches. So looks like we're going to be enjoying some turkey too here for a while. Plus I still have about a 10 lb half of a turkey in the freezer waiting to be roasted.

K2 - I hope Art's leg is feeling better today. You can whisper to me what you could have said about San's cold shower. I won't tell him, thought I can well imagine what you're talking about. LOL

KC - Good for you trying to find some bargains at stores yesterday. Too bad you couldn't find anything really worthwhile. Back when we were still in NJ there was a store where the entire place was filled with Christmas decorations and stuff. We used to go there bright & early the day after Christmas when everything was half price. I still put out some of those things I got over 36 years ago! They still look good too.
You're right about not getting too many leftovers with our gang around here. All we managed to have left from the jambalaya last night is a soup bowl full. If Bert had given them a larger container to take home, that would have been gone too. They also hit up the homemade cookies and other treats. They've all developed a taste for marzipans and petit fours! Did a major hit on them last night too.

Rita - Time to head for Florida ... Temp on NYE is supposed to be 82 and New Year's Day around 80, but with showers. Then some days in the high 60s and 70s. Better than being up north, right?

Not a lot planned for today. Might head to the Grille for lunch and to watch some of the Steelers game. That's as close as we come to having a plan for the day. Later I think we'll watch the last 2 episodes of Queen's Gambit on Netflix. It's an interesting story.

Have a great Sunday and be a hutch full of good bunnies washing your hands, wearing your mask and keeping a safe distance from others. I know you all will! :)

Well now. As Bear came in Lu-Ann came up from the basement and our friends had called and wondered if we would like to go for a walk at one of the other parks nearby. We did. All masked up! It was actually nice there.
I don’t know if there were bargains to be had or not Karen. Except for walking the pups we didn’t venture out. We will remember the turkey fondly.
Pat, I reckon we could be eating turkey until New Years. I heard that Dave did get an X-Ray. Early reports indicate he has a crack in his butt. :p
I fear that Kathie’s aggressive side is coming out Tony. Could be as a result of the lock down in Michigan.
Not much else going on here.
Hmmm. I wonder what kind of turkey is for dinner?
You all stay safe, sanitized and masked.

Hi gang. Went to virtual church and said a prayer for ALL of us and a little extra for Dave & Kathi.

Dave: Fantastic Piñata. He is just TOO COOL! Like part of the family standing in that chair.
So sorry about you two FALLING ALL OVER THE PLACE. Get yourself some Dog Friendly SALT and start using it BIG TIME. OUCH. Hope you didn't break any ribs. I think I just gave you MORE sympathy than I’ve given Art. Hee hee.

BB: I’d hate to see what your FOOD BILL IS. All I can say if Beet would use a Credit Card that gives cash rewards for all your food purchases you two could make a fortune.

And I’m sure we are “thinking“ on the same wace length pertaining to SAN’s Cold Shower! Ha ha. Think Steinfeld.

KC: So do you have the Xmas tree all down and put away yet or does it stay up for awhile? There was a time when I would keep our REAL TREE up for Jan 7th.....not anymore. Even with the artificial one.
My niece in Chicago area took all her stuff down today and packed it away. She does work LONG Hours and I guess I can’t blame her.

I got to see pictures of my brother George in Chicago yesterday. He looked better than the last tome I saw him. Glad to see that.

The neighbors on one side that have grown kids have their GRAND Dog, Hudson, a Golden Labrador staying over. Hudson has a DEEP LOUD bark when he wants to go back into the house. Bark, Bark at 6:30 am the last 3 mornings. It’s a good thing I really like Hudson. Imopen the bathroom window and talk to him. I call his name and he comes to the end of the deck. I even got Art to see him this afternoon when he was outside.
I think his parent-Owners must have went away for the holiday week. I don’t see their car around, They live about 3 hours from here. He’s a Chiropractor.

Okay out of here for now.

Here’s a picture of HUDSON and me when he was smaller this Spring!

Back from the Grille.
How bout them Steelers?
Negc -- Take back your remark about Ben needing to retire!!! :smiley25:
Getting ready to go to G&E's for more snacks. I am already stuffed!!

Good afternoon....

Tony, that sucks about the water heater going out....didn't you have to work on it just a while back?

Kathie, tree is still up...I usually take my tree down on New Years Day....but I am starting to do some pre-sorting & tossing of Christmas stuff that isn't going to be here next year....and that is some fancy looking cheese board....would love to do something like that sometime...

Dave, don't you & Kathi have Yak's? If so...why are you not wearing them??? We don't bonce as good as we used to....sure hope neither of you did any serious damage!!

Pat, good thing you have plenty of turkey on hand so you & Bert won't have to fight over that last bowl of jambalaya....;):)

Rita, has the packing begun for the trip south? I'm sure you will be glad to hit the road & leave your winter weather behind!!

Another Frosty start to the day here...but it warmed up nicely on the porch this afternoon...I managed to turn the heat off for a while & opened the back door....didn't make it to church today...it was just to cold for me to venture out....and the church is in a big metal building which is cold to me on regular days...I would have had frostbite for sure today....Homemade veggie soup is on the menu for dinner tonite...and maybe a salad as well....catch you all in the morning....oh...I got one piece of good news this afternoon...the Post Office sent me a tracking up date on my nieces Christmas presents I mailed Dec. 7th....they are now in Washington, DC enroute to their destination...she is about 2 hrs away from DC....so unless they get re-routed to Denver or somewhere...she will hopefully get them this week....still no word on the other package that I mailed Dec. 2nd....

Our Neighbor next door ( single guy) just sent me a text saying he didn’t feel good on Christmas Day......he went and got tested and was POSITIVE. He’s not big on Masks, but does have to wear them at work. His Son is a U of M college student. He’s been around on and off since school let out and his daughter too. Not sure how good any of them are a out wearing MASKS?
Be CAREFUL FOLKS....YOUR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS COULD SPREAD COVID TO YOU!
Sure glad I had a mask on when I handed Art (next door) his cookie tray outside his door. That was on Monday. Sure hope he stays Quarantined and doesn't go to work.

Art and I are officially Yellowstone Series junkies. Watched another 5 series tonight. We have 4 more to go and then we have to wait until sometime in August, 2021 for the Series to start again. It will be strange to just watch 45 mins after watching HOURS of these series the last few days. Sure beats watching CNN, MSNBC, etc.

I see that the little T man signed the original bill. Folks will finally get a measly $600 bucks. It's all the "Pork" in that bill that is going to kill everyone. Lots of things that if you didn't read it you'd never know just how badly WE ALL GOT SCREWED AGAIN! SOB's.
Happy for the people who can really use the help.

I saw some interesting video's earlier showing the White House party where the people didn't have their masks on. A kid that worked on putting up the TREE's in all the various rooms was in there with his camera and shooting the trees and the people and he wasn't dressed up or anything and nobody said anything. There were a couple of wreaths on the windows that had HUGE WHITE SNOWBALL looking ornaments on them saying "BE BEST". The kid whispered....I tried my best to remove them, but just couldn't get it done. I love a spy in the White House. Ha ha.

Nite from Macomb.

By the way in case you forgot just WHAT DAY IT IS tomorrow....it's MONDAY.
This time of the year I really have to look at a calendar to make sure I'm on the right day.

I had to take 2 Tylenols and 2 Advils tonight to calm down a JAW ACHE from what must be a TOOTH issue. Can't wait to get a dental appt the first of the year. Joy, Joy. It comes and goes, but when it feels like acting up it really NAILS ME!! Not sure if it's on the bottom or top it runs all over the right side when it's acting up. It's ALWAYS SOMETHING! :emoticon 0140 rofl:

Ahh, I see that the Buffoon and want to be dictator finally took enough time away from the golf course to sign the relief bill. That idiot can't be gone soon enough.

Note to self; Next time I fall in snow, make a snow angel. Thanks for the advice Lee.

"I don't think snow and ice are your friend." Neither is gravity, BB.

Sounds like a lot of you have left-over turkey. We have gobs of left-over ham. We kept out a bunch for eating now, and Kathi got out her suck-em up "Food Saver" machine for 3/4 of it. It was a real big ham we bought prior to this Covid stuff.

Oh yea; Marvin thanks you earthlings for your compliments on his natural good looks.

Hudson is a cutie, K2. Maybe you could doggy-sit once in a while. I'm sure that by now he'd be a great lap-dog. :) Sorry to hear your next door neighbor got Covid. As the medical professionals say; You're more likely to get infected with that virus from relatives and close friends than you are from any other source. Only a few things worse than a tooth-ache.

We too left out our Christmas stuff till New Years, KC. But yesterday Kathi took a few things back down to the basement for another year. You sure haven't had a lot of luck with the post office.

No plans for anything today. Just staying home and maybe watching one of the commercial free movies that we've recorded.

In this weird weather, it actually stayed it the 40's last night and rained. But today it'll head back down into the deep freeze.

Good morning, everyone, as we go into the closing days of this god awful year! I am so ready to deep six this one, as I know you all are also.

KC - Isn't it nice that we are starting to get our normal winter weather back? I used to leave the Christmas tree up until January 6th when the kids were small, but I think we'll take the tree down on Wednesday. Why, you may ask, and I will answer - I want a clear view of the lake for New Year's Eve. There's bound to be fireworks over the water. Hopefully more than 4th of July. I know the fireworks tent was really busy yesterday when we passed it, so people are buying.
Bert had a package he sent out to Colorado and was tracking. It made it part way there and then came back to Florida where it just sat for days, until Bert raised cane with the PO. Then it moved fast and the PO even called him to let him know it was out for delivery!

K2 - Sorry to hear your neighbor has the virus. Good that you didn't get close delivering the cookies. Hudson is so adorable! I hope your tooth feels better today. That was a fine charcuterie board, but not very practical and it didn't have any fig jam on it. That's a requirement for a good one, as well as some honeycomb. See - you learned something new. you're welcome!!

Dave - So are you still hurting? We also have lots of leftover ham in the freezer. I'll dig some of that out Thursday for NYE when the gang comes over for one of their favorite meals - ham, eggs, and French fries all cooked together in the same pot. How's that for not being very fancy? LOL

Lee - Nice that you got to go for a walk with your friends yesterday. You have to do something to not be bored at home all the time.

We went to G&E's for snacks and goodies. They are just starting a 2,000 piece puzzle of all the national park symbols. I wasn't too much help because the pieces were so small and the light didn't help much.

Time to check on my plants outside and hope they survived the cold snap. Bert did cover some, but not all. Have a magnificent day, everyone, and be good!!! :)
