Good morning!

Lee, please wish Lu-Ann a Very Happy Birthday from me as well! I hope that whatever you do to celebrate her birthday turns out to be just a perfect day!

Remembering all those who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our country free, may they ever Rest In Peace!
Yesterday in the church Parish Hall they had a table decorated in remembrance of all our POW's. I had heard of such tables before but had never seen one, it was VERY Moving! There was a framed explanation on the meaning of each item on the table, I wish I had thought to take a picture.

Still hot & dry here, pool temp is up to 90 now, but so far still feels refreshing when you first get in. Ice cream social at the clubhouse today, I need to get busy & get my mini cupcakes made.

Really good Bloody Mary!
We’ve gotta do something about the consumption of Bloody Mary’s before noon Kathie!
I have passed your wishes along to Lu-Ann too Karen. There is a lot of information about POW and MIA tables and their significance.
Bucket List Coffee in town is now open Mondays. Lu-Ann wanted to go there for one of their nice breakfast sandwiches so off we went. We did a little grocery shopping and came home to get Ava and take her to The Navy Yard. I got the back grass cut after that and then, being a nice day, took Ava for a walk along The River through Fort Malden.
Time to think about getting ready for dance.
Have a good rest of your day.

Testing. Something not working???
Other than your font being smaller than usual it looks like it's working to me

Had a good turnout for the ice cream social today, I made a doz. mini cupcakes & ended up bringing most of them home. There were sooooo many cookies, cupcakes & treats brought there was hardly a dent put in any of them.
Spent about 45 mins in the pool it felt so good, now I am ready for a nap!

Karen: Sounds like a refreshing Ice Cream Social!
Nice you got into the pool to cool off

Everything works fine when sending posts from my iPhone. It’s the iPad that doesn’t show the choices for Font sizes, color, bold, etc etc. I tried signing out and shutting down and can’t get anything to show up.
I like sending POSTS from the iPad better than on this cell phone.
Oh well, at least I didn’t delete the entire site!

Bought a new American Flag and it’s nice to see it flying high. Bright and crisp!
Watered the plants and pots around the yard and put out the 2 metal Swans. It’s really beautiful outside.

Breakfast was good. Got to go over and see the family and Manny. They were planting veggies in Jill’s new garden area.

Out of here for now.

Look what I came across earlier on. Longboat Key site. When we use to stay on Longboat we would go to Broadway Street early in the morning and look for Peacocks strutting around on the street and some standing on porch railing. They are so beautiful.

The sky was fire engine red this morning at 5:50. Really pretty. Of course “red sky in morning” generally means rain isn’t too far out.
I’ll be sure to pass you greetings on to Lu-Ann too Mike. She does thank you all.
How about Audrey Hepburn singing the Julie Andrews penned tune from “My Fair Lady”?

Peacocks, while stunning, are really loud Kathie.
Left over cupcakes? I’ve never heard of such a thing Karen.
Not much else this morning.
Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Hi GANG!

Lee: I was wandering around EARLY this morning and saw that same PINK GLOWING SKY. WOW.... it was brilliant.

And yes, Peacocks are very loud. I think I've related this story about Peacocks at a home about 1/4 mile from our subdivision when we first moved here that had Peacocks in the yard. It was all farmland around here and our sub was just being built. We would hear this HORRIBLE cries that sounded like a CAT SCREAMING. Art walked the creek and the land that was still not developed and traced down the sound to a lone home set back from the road that raised Peacocks. Not sure if the Township or owners got rid of the Peacocks, but it was a lot less noisy once they were gone.

Sun is shining, Art is biking and I will be trying to transplant some Clover Plants today. I bought some potting soil that is very light and airy and hope it works. The Clover plant has little bulbs that basically lay on the top of the soil and then the green leaves and white flowers shoot up from them. I took one and put it in a pot that had other plants in it, and it took off and is doing so well I thought I'd try some more in another pot. I'll try and get some pictures of this project so you all can see what they look like.

Enjoy the day and stay safe out there.

Wow….. I kept hitting keys and FINALLY I can again see the heading with FONT SIZE, BOLD, COLORS, SMILEYS, and so on!

It’s the little things that make my day! :clap002:
Might be able to sleep with the windows open tonight if we don’t get any stinky outdoor fires!
Karen: You do excellent work on anything you touch. The bench is adorable.
Love the decals and pots! Kudos girl.

It’s supposed to rain throughout the day. I’m going to finish up my fruit and yogurt and get my fertilizer spreader out and get some fertilizer down. Why so early you wonder? I’m off to Jim’s to get more done in the basement. We’re hoping to get at least three doors hung. And some drywall painted. Drywall as the result of another last minute design change. Which we said we wouldn’t do but did anyway. This is why it’s taking so long and Dave, Doug and I are getting more frustrated. Thanks for being good “ears” for me.
Lu-Ann mentioned yesterday was Rita’s birthday. A gentleman never tells a lady’s age.
I’m glad you got your screen sorted Kathie. It’s always the simple things with electronics that frustrate us all the most.
I can’t think of any modern actresses that have the dignity, class and ability of those classic women that graced the silver screen Mike.
The more I look at that bench Karen the more I appreciate the work you put into it.
Best get on with things.
You wonderful people have a fantastic day. Whatever the day brings your way.

Good afternoon!

Lee, I don't blame you guy's for getting frustrated, it's one thing to help out a friend but it's reached the point now I think you all are just being taken advantage of. Maybe Jim needs to PAY a contractor for his next project and then maybe he will realize what a dream team you guys have been!

Kathie, glad you were able to finally get all your settings to your liking! It's the little things that make us all happy at this age I think!

Mike, there are a few project's I've tackled that I wouldn't do again, but I will pretty much try any household repair/project at least once. One of my cherry tomato's is starting to turn pink, hopefully in a week or 2 there may be enough ripe to put in a salad. It's still loaded with blossoms too.

Thanks for all the kind words on my bench, it was just re-done with scrap material I had laying around. Jane was happy with it so that was a plus. We did agree that when it starts to fall apart again it's time to let it go. The bench is probably 20 yrs old or more.
Rev. Lisa was back today from being away from her Mom's funeral, my heart just goes out to her, she has just been dealing with so much between her Mil passing, several parishioners passing & then her Mom and having to move her Dad up here to an assisted living facility. Then we found out today that another member of our church passed away last night, he turned 103 last Sunday! She really needs a break!

Still no rain here to speak of, it rumbled last night & rained just enough to barely get the road wet & then quit. 93 degrees here now & feels like 101, even the pool isn't refreshing when it's that hot!

I think it rained till 3:00 today, why am I not sure, I was sleeping.
Our Knock out roses are beautiful this year and there are a lot of flowers. There is a tree hanging over in our yard called orange something and it is very nice but I'm going to have Michael trim it because it is shading that area and nothing will grow.
Karen, it seems like when it rains it pours. I'm sure Rev; Lisa's parishioners are a great help for her. 93 degrees is a bit warm.
Lee, maybe your group will think twice before helping Jim again, come to some kind of understanding. While you are fertilizing your yard, you can fertilize ours. We will have plenty of coffee and donuts for you and the entire yard is only a quarter of an acre.
Mock orange and rose of sharon is the name of the trees that are shading our yard.
Have a good evening.

Late check in!

Crazy BUSY day. Best thing was I got my hair cut and as usual I feel like a new woman. Now remember I said "FEEL LIKE" not that I am a new woman! Ha Ha. :emoticon 0136 giggle: :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Had yet one more siding guy out today. He's sending out his contractor to measure tomorrow (Thursday). Seems like a waste of his time to just come out and see what we and our house looks like. Oh well, we're good listeners.

Another estimate is coming on Friday. It's getting boring to listen to them give me their speeches!

Lee: I must agree that JIM is gone way too far with this basement job. And it's YOUR BOYS fault for going along with his changes. I'd have to put my foot down and just say enough is enough. I know it's not something you Boys would do, but it sure would be nice if you could.

It rained here in the late afternoon. Just enough to wet the grass. We had a mist earlier when I was driving home from the East side of town.

Karen: So are you going to set up a Veggie Stand as soon as that Tomato turns RED. :emoticon 0136 giggle:
I still need to buy at least 2 tomato plants, but it's still early up here. Plenty of time to get them in the ground.

Mike: So glad your Knock-out Roses are doing so well this year. My little rose bushes in front made it through the Winter really nice. And the Clematis Shrub is in FULL BLOOM and doing great. I'll try and get a picture up here soon.

I have a morning Dr's Consultation with the PAIN DR tomorrow. I'll listen to what he has to say about my MRI xray, but I want to do the Physical Therapy first and see if that helps the back-pain. If I get my CORE MUSCLES stronger perhaps I can pass on any pain shots. LESS IS BEST!

Take care you all. See ya when I can get back here.
