Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good morning Wabbits!

Well that sucks BB that the parents of the kid who tested positive for Covid kept it quiet from the school. Now Elains's son has to quarantine for 14 days. But don't get too comfortable that the boy isn't showing any symptoms. That 14 days isn't just to show he isn't showing any symptoms, it's also to keep other people safe if he's asymptomatic.

K2; I'm sure that there is a better way to get your exercises in than lifting and moving heavy furniture.

Thanks for the picture.......since Lee didn't post it..............HINT, HINT, LEE.

Bill; My secondary team After the Browns to root for has always been the Packers, since I was a young lad.

Turns out those 50+ MPH winds that came through the other day took out its' furry on our shed. (Still waiting on the new one to be built.) We can't see it from the house because of the white fence, so it wasn't until our neighbor told us about it yesterday. One door got ripped off and the panel it was connected to.

Our contractor/nephew is coming over today to board it up. I still don't think he'll build the new shed till next spring. That guy is busier than a one armed paper-hanger.

Oh.......Now I've got to wrap up the Christmas presents for my Virginia daughter and her hubby, and mailed this week. Turns out that instead of staying home during this pandemic, they are flying off to Washington State to spend most of December with his parents. GEESH!

Good morning, everyone! A pretty, but much cooler day here today with a bit of a wind to make it feel cooler.

At least when I go to the cardiologist this afternoon, it will be in the mid 70s. Today's the day I actually see the doctor and get the results of all those tests they put me through over the past few weeks. Should be interesting and hopefully, nothing serious needs to be done.

K2 - Have no fear. I have already been working on Plan B or C for our turkey dinner. We will be able to figure this all out once they go for the COVID test at noon tomorrow. No one is going to be stupid and do something wrong.
Good for your governor shutting things down again. That little butt kisser that we have is going an entirely different route and wants everything open to full capacity and all schools open with no home schooling or virtual lessons. He's delusional and has his sight set on making a run for the White House. Some of the stuff he's coming up with is just plain bat sh*t crazy! :emoticon 0121 angry: He & our 2 repub senators all keep coming up with weird crap and for some reason they reelect them. I just don't get it. :emoticon 0179 headbang: Oh well, as they say - You can't fix stupid!!

That's about it for me right now. Time to read the newspaper and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee before Bert gets out here. Have a wonderful day, gang. Stay warn or dry or whatever it's like where you live. Just make sure you stay safe and keep that mask on! :)

Good afternoon folks.
No, I don't know where yesterday
went. I remember getting up, walking the dogs, bringing the outdoor furniture off the patio on to the little alcove at the back, taking the crate Ava arrived in to the Humane Society, making dinner and getting up again this morning. As I was on my way to bed I did say to myself "Damn man. You forgot to check in on your cyber family!"
I sure hope that family feels stupid for not advising the school that their little darlin' tested positive Pat. They gotta play for the other team because responsible people in their right minds would have said something. Hopefully Kegan tests all clear tomorrow as do Gary, Elaine and the rest of the family. I too think it's a good idea for them all to get tested. I'm hoping that all the news you get at the cardiologist this afternoon is all good news.
Kathie, I applaud your Governor Whitmer and her decision to try to take care of the people of Michigan by shutting things down. I wish our Premiere, Mr Ford, would do the same thing. Bandaids just don't work when you've cut off a thumb! That's a big job to get the rugs done. It's always the moving of the furniture that takes the time. Yes, it was a tad blustery and cool down by the river. The crews were out yesterday morning double checking all of the lights and connections after those storms!
I always used to cheer for two teams Bill. The Bills and anybody who was beating The Patriots. I know, before you get a chance to chime in I didn't often have a second team to cheer for.
Sorry to hear about your shed Dave. Buffalo played 59 minutes and 49 seconds of football on Sunday. That was an amazing catch that sealed the win for AZ though.
After the storm we had here on Sunday there were lots of shingles missing from older homes and lots of fences blown down. Not, however, the fences that Old Guy Contracting just built. That gave me an idea for a tag line on our next T-Shirts. "Old Guy Contracting...our fences stand up to passing wind".
So, today was Pickelball 2.0. With the rising COVID cases in Ontario Lu-Ann, Brenda, Doug and I decided that we would wear masks and play on the end court. We did and nobody said boo about it. Again, I even wondered about going as indoor gathering are supposed to be limited to 10 people and there were about 16 people in the area. Fortunately there was nobody on court 4 and three groups of 4 on the other three courts.
I'll be up early and off to the lab tomorrow. I have my quarterly PSA test and a creatinine test in preparation for MRI. The Doc just wants to be sure that there's nothing evil lurking that he can't feel.
YAY! FedEx is coming up the driveway with our coffee.
You all stay safe, sound and masked. And don't forget your little bottles of sanitizer!

Lee - I wondered where you went off to. Glad it was just one of those kind of days. Love the idea for your next t-shirts. Even Bert had to laugh when I told him about it. Guess that's aguy sort of joke.
Good luck tomorrow on your lab tests.

Now about my cardiologist visit ... Doctor went over all the tests they did and told me all the results. Bottom line is he doesn't see anything wrong and I only have to go back in April for a checkup to make sure all is well. What a real sweetie he was about it all and I am a happy camper. I told Bert on the ride home that I guess he's stuck with me for a while longer. :p

Not much going on around here for the rest of the say. A little too chilly to sit outside on the lanai with a glass of wine tonight. I know I'm a woos ... To us Floridians, anything below 75 is chilly and right now it's 71 here. I'd have to put a sweatshirt on if I went out there! Time for the rest of the salmon we had last night and free up that space in the refrigerator for tomorrow's leftovers.
If I remember correctly, there's a new NCIS on tonight. Can't wait to see what Gibbs has been up to recently.

Heads up to everyone: President Obama is going to be on Stephen Colbert's show one night next week.

Time to watch the news to see what I've missed all day. Have a great evening, everyone. I doubt I'll be back tonight, so I may as well call it quits now. Bye!:)

Saying goodnite from Belleview...long busy day...got the outside Christmas lights up & even got to wear a Christmas sweatshirt it was that cool!! Now I'm ready to snuggle in & watch some new shows on TV for a change....

Hi GANG! Just catching up on my story reading time from you nice folks.

DAVE: Nice of your neighbor to tell you that your shed was ripped apart by the WIND. If it wouldn't change your Home Insurance I bet it's covered under your policy. But with deductibles and the fact that WE ARE ALL AFRAID to even ask about a CLAIM for fear of a increase we all just suck up the costs on our own. ONLY in America do you pay through your A*S for insurance that you don't use unless your house burns down! Nice that the Nephew will board the place up for you!
I have learned to only lift and move what my BACK TELLS me OKAY to move. The sliders I use are a BACKSAVER for sure.

Today I took a break from doing the back of the house. Had to make sure to get the Italian fresh made bread from the Veggie market before the MAD RUSH next week. I'll cut it up in cubes tomorrow and let it dry out so I can make some YUMMO DRESSING. I've given up on the little Cubes you buy in the grocery store this year. Want to make it the way my Mom use to make it for a change.
Also, went to Kohl's and bought a Hand Dustbuster type vacuum to use for picking up things on the floor in the kitchen corners and after I dry my hair in the bathroom. Our old one just wasn't holding a charge for more than 2 mins. It served us well for decades. I used my 30% off coupon & $5 buck loyalty coupon and it was on SALE! Just had to scoop that up.
I drove by Costco and scoped out the people coming out of the place. NO Toilet Paper or Paper Toweling in anybody's cart. That told me not to waste my time because they just still don't have any.

I did put on my NE95 mask at Kohls.
I also just got through spending 1 hour on Google reading and watching videos on how to CLEAN these masks.
DAVE: Since you have the even better N95 MASKS your nephew gave you I think you should learn how to clean it and how many times it will still be good. We all should REALLY be throwing away the PLEATED Blue/Yellow or Blue/White masks after each use. That's why they sell them for about $11-14 bucks for 50 of them!
I learned a lot from my hour on the Google search just now. I will be throwing away the BLUE PLEATED MASKS after I use them and sanitizing my hands before and after I put the mask on. My NE95 masks will be used for more crowded area use. Which should be far and few times.
Glad I took the time to research about those Pleated Masks! Here's a google page with about 20 different sites on how to clean MASKs. Pick one and learn something! :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Lee: Sure glad the Fences you and the OLD Guys Contractors built held up to the PASSING WIND! LOL

KC: Good job getting your lights up. I'm just not sure when or if they will get up here. We still have a lot of time, but when it was 75-80F a few weeks back I suggested it to MR ART and he said it was just TOO EARLY. YUP......same thing he tells me every year. And now it's 35F outside and I'll be dang if I'm helping to put them up in that cold. Time will tell if he does it when the temps are suppose to hit 60F at the end of the week!! LOL

BB: Good for you getting a good report. That's the kind of news we would all like to hear after so many test. I guess my CT-SCAN of my lungs must have been OKAY, because nobody ever called me. I'll have to look up the results on my Portal through the hospital.

I'm out of here for tonight. Going to do those back room carpets tomorrow. Nice feeling when walking through the family room and seeing the super clean carpet.

NITE/

Since this picture is on Public Facebook I guess Lee won't mind if I share it with his fellow HUTCH MATES! Lu-Ann is the photo taker in their family! She does a great job. This is Ava about ready to leap for a Squirrel. Great picture Lee!!

Hey "Woose" it's a few degrees below 75 here this morning. 28 to be exact. You sure have gotten soft since you moved to Florida, Jersey-girl.
1f61b.png

It's doggy groomer day for the pooches. Heading out in just a few minutes.

"Old Guy Contracting...our fences stand up to passing wind". Now that is funny, Lee.

Wearing a Christmas sweatshirt was a good idea while putting up lights, KC. Please tell me that you haven't completed all your holiday shopping.

Starting tomorrow, Ohio will have a 3 month curfew from 10PM to 5AM. I can't remember the last time I was out and about during that time period. Ohioans were mandated to wear masks a few days ago. But does everyone follow that ruling? Of course not. While at the gas station I saw 5 people walk into the store not wearing one. All men between the ages of 40 and 55.

Good show on upgrading your masks K2. With Covid infections skyrocketing in our areas, you can't be too safe. I leave my N95 masks on the dash of my car so the sunlight gets at them to kill off any virus or bacteria. It's parked outside anyway. But always have a mask inside the house also. Those "sliders" are a great idea on saving your back and other muscles. I see the Serbian cook in you is kicking in. I grew up with a Hungarian friend who's mother had 2 full kitchens. One on the main floor and another full kitchen in the basement. And it wasn't unusual to have both going at the same time.

We lucked out yesterday with the gas price drop. We topped off both cars with it being $1.77 a gallon. Since I hardly ever go anywhere, that might last me for most of the winter.

While packing up my Virginia daughter's Christmas presents I almost forgot about a tree ornament we're giving her. It's a round ornament that says "2020", and under that says "Let It Roll". But keep in mind that the two 0's in 2020 were toilet paper rolls.

Good morning from Belleview where it is a Brisk 51 degrees!!! Love it....only going up to around 67 today....

Dave, well....I "would" be done with my Christmas shopping but I keep taking another name off the Angel Trees....I know so many families have had the first year so I just keep trying to help as many as I can....some of these tags are heart breaking...they are asking for things like socks and clothes and not fancy games & stuff

Kathie, you are quite the busy bee with all your carpet cleaning!! That is one project I got done while staying in...cleaned all my area rugs...I'm so glad I don't have carpet all thru the house!

Bill, sending prayer's & good thoughts that your surgery goes well next week

Lee, I think you should go for the shirts....I'd hire old guys fence company in a heartbeat!!

Pat, I missed the launch the other night....I saw it had gone up...but when I went out to look it was to overcast here to see anything...sure hope everyone at G&E's is ok....that is so stupid of the parent's to hide the kids illness!!

Tony, hope all is well with you & the family....I know you must be looking forward to another trip to McCloud!!

Not to much on tap here today...going to go pick up a few last minute things for Thanksgiving....I don't want to be anywhere NEAR a store next week...and then I am meeting my sister's for a late lunch.....Wendy had given us Gift Certificates for Texas Roadhouse for Christmas last year....but before we had a chance to use them Corona hit...we finally are going to get a chance to use them today...stay warm all!

Back from the lab. Good thing I always book head. There was a 90 minute wait for walk-ins. Only those with appointments were allowed to wait, well spaced, in the waiting area.
I guess forgot to share this pic. I was going to save the T-Shirts for the guys for Christmas but gave them to them before we did the fences a couple of weeks ago. These guys, Dave, Lee and Doug, are all in our bubble but in the ensuing two weeks since that photo we have gone back wearing masks indoors!
IMG_4772.jpeg

I'm so happy to heat that you got the all clear Pat! And here I am thinking that if it reaches 50F tomorrow and the sun is out it will be a dandy morning to put on a light jacket and have a coffee out back in the morning! But I do recall being in FL and after 6 warm weeks the temp was 69F and poor Lu-Ann was frozen! It was neat seeing the new crew enter the ISS with "The Child" (Baby Yoda as some would say).

It sounds like a good day out at The Texas Roadhouse Karen. Hmm. Would it be wrong to order a Corona with lunch to celebrate them being open? Around here they are looking at rolling things back again. The wrong things I think. Restaurants, no matter how large, will be restricted to 10 diners. But health clubs can have 50 people. Can I ask if it was a traditional Christmas top or one that would qualify as an "Ugly Christmas Sweater"?
I love that ornament Dave! There are sure a lot of folks coming up with novel ideas to remember what a year this has been. Do you ever have the urge to get the groomer to tidy up your split ends while you're there? I think that staying away from the insurance is a good idea too. Like Kathie said you pay through (insert orifice here) and then they raise your premiums.
I'm having a wee chuckle over masks. It used to be that people had good shirts and pants and kicking around shirts and pants. Now we have good masks and kicking around masks. Count me in! I have a very good FFP3 (European designation) mask that I wear in crowded places or places like the lab this morning. Then I have some 2 and three layer masks. And we always keep a couple of disposable masks in the car just in case.
Any fresh bread is good Kathie. My personal favourite for fresh bread is the Cuban bread at Columbia! I could honestly eat that until I explode. But then I think of the waste of good bread and the mess if that happened. Lu-Ann finds it frustrating that the medical profession only calls you with test results when there's a concern. We have to go to Costco tomorrow for the first time in over a month. It's always a crap shoot (pun possibly intended) as to whether there will be a crowd waiting to get in or not. But we do
need dog food. Other than that I wouldn't go anywhere near the place. Mind you, we don't have the Thanksgiving crowds to worry about here. I still think that you should "invest" in a Dyson Stick Vacuum. You can put the smaller head on and it's a hand held. Lots of attachments to keep your home clean. Although I don't think that I've ever seen a photo of your home that has ANY dirt in evidence. Clearly you don't have dogs...:doggy::doggy::doggy:
Lu-Ann is just about done with her weekly "YAP" with the folks in Kitchener. Then we'll take the kids for their walk and tidy things up for games day where we have mandated that masks will be mandatory while in our house!
You all stay well, stay safe, stay masked and sanitized and, well, stay out of harm's way.

Good morning y'all from pleasantly warm (75) Bellalago! OK temperature right now, but by mid afternoon it will be getting chilly again, plus it's windy out there.

I bet the reason those parents didn't notify the school about their kid having the virus is because they are part of that wacko repub fringe who don't believe the virus is real. I wouldn't put it past them.
Things are really weird here, or maybe I should say weirder than usual here. For example, let's talk about ammunition ... You can't buy ammo here, if your life depended on it! It disappears as soon as sporting goods stores get any in. Sort of like toilet paper disappearing. People in Florida love their guns and keep them handy. I know of no houses in this community that doesn't have at least 1 gun. Some people are terrified that someone will break into their houses and they believe in the old saying "shoot first and ask questions later". Even worse are some of these people won't leave their house without their gun, even if working in their yard or visiting friends! Sad state of things is all I can say. :(

KC - Good for you getting all your decorations up and for once again stepping up and doing something for someone who doesn't have very much. They usually have an angel tree down at the amenity center, but so far we haven't heard of it being there yet. We've got to get checks off to all the kids, so they can take advantage of any sales going on in the coming days. I really don't know what anyone wants this year, as we don't see them very frequently. Parents can do the shopping for their own kids and for themselves too.

Lee - Love the picture of your old guy contracting shirts. They're great! Nice that you're following the rules about wearing masks around others. Have a good trip to Costco. I hope it's not too crowded.

Dave - Good for you to be wearing the better mask whenever possible. I find the most annoying thing about any masks is that it's right across your nose and will fog up glasses. I found some cheap shields that you wear under the mask and it keeps the mask away from your nose and your glasses won't fog. People who have to wear a mask all day at work swear by these things. I just ordered some on Amazon for the whole family.

K2 - You sure are being Susie Homemaker these days between the rug shampooing and the cooking you're planning to do. You're going to put the rest of us to shame. These days I'd rather take the easy way out in food prepping. Totally homemade is pretty much a thing of the past around here.

Negc - Good luck with your surgery on Monday. We'll be waiting for an update from either you or Rita to let us know you're OK. Stay warm up there in the north!

San - I saw a post on FB from Nancy that said it was raining. I hope it keeps up for you. Not hearing much about any fires burning in CA, so I assume they're pretty well under control or are out.

Almost time to start prepping getting the turkey into the oven. Just waiting for Bert to decide to come out of the bedroom once again. I just don't know how that man can sleep this late.

I'm out of here for now. Have a wonderful hump day everyone. Wear that mask, wash those hands, and stay safe! :)

YAY on the all clear for Gary, Elaine and the family.
You want talk weird. We have a product here called Kinder Eggs. Hollow chocolate eggs with a toy inside. If we were so inclined we couldn’t take them across the border because the toys present a choking hazard. BUT, there’s always a but, we can cross the border with all kinds of guns and ammo if they are properly presented along with the appropriate paperwork. I guess it just goes to show you that guns don’t kill people. Chocolate eggs do. Again, I don’t make this up I just report it.
Have a good evening my friends!

Hi gang. Hate to sound like a broken record, but I’m FINALLY DONE with the dang carpets! Dirty water...you bet. Look good now...you bet!
Tomorrow hopefully things will be dry enough to put the rooms back together! WHOSE BIG IDEA WAS IT TO DO THIS JOB?
Oh wait..it was mine! :D
BB: Glad the kids got NEGATIVE results on the Covid testing. Did they have to pay for those tests? Just wondering. Around here some say YES you pay and some say NO. I’ve seen the lines of cars in some cities wrapped around miles of parking lots and streets. Almost insane to think you would make it to the front of the line.

Dave: I bet you wish your daughter was staying home. How did the Pups do at the groomer? Did they get a fancy BOW?

Lee: FANTASTIC T-Shirts you bought those contractors. Great picture of you hard working guys! So nice you all work together so well.

KC: I don’t know where I found the energy to do all this work, but I’m glad to have some things done. The laundry room cabinets need to get totally revamped. I need to make more space for canned goods and pkg food, cereral, etc, etc. Since I don’t go to the corner Kroger store as often as I use to before Covid I need to make room for STUFF! My plan is to not have to drag canned goods or dry goods in the dead of Winter. Veggie market and meat shop every so often is how I’d like it.

Oh my goodness my lower back is telling me it could use a Tylenol! I didn’t strain anything, just a long day.

SAN: How’s it going over your way? Way too quiet. When does your gang head out to McCloud country?

Bill: All the best on your surgery in case I forget to tell you. Have Rita fill us in on how you did? Do you have to stay in the hospital or is it out patient? All the best.

I’m off to the shower! And then I’m going to cuddle up on the couch with one of my soft blankets. Hopefully there will be something good on TV tonight.

Neighbor next door ( single guy) got a new furnace and air conditioner installed today. Since he is very cautious with his money, I think he got one of those special deals that if you buy a new furnace they give you a SWEET DEAL on a air conditioner. Good for him. His Kitties will be nice and warm all Winter.

Nite gang!

Lee - My grandkids (Nate & Jen) LOVE Kinder Eggs. They have managed to get them when people came from other countries and "forgot" they were packed inside shoes and other stuff. Sort of like smuggling liquor on a cruise ship. There is something similar they have here, but to the kids, it's just not the same. Of curse, the whole idea of why you can't get them here is stupid, but you can bring in guns and ammo is beyond reason.

K2 - COVID_19 tests here are free for the most part. If some places charge for them, insurance pays.

Man, does this crew like to eat!!! The boys each came back for 3 plates of food and then tried to eat pumpkin pie. I don't know where they put all that food.

Time now to say good night. I am so tired and I want to relax and watch some TV. See you all in the morning. :)

Good morning guys!

I absolutely loved that "Old Guy Contracting" picture, Lee. And what color of chicken produces chocolate eggs?

Yesterday on CBS I saw a news story from a doctor about Covid, and thought of you BB. Did Gary and all of them do a full 14 days of quarantine? The doctor said that the viris may take up to 14 days to start showing up on a test. If you hit the 14th day and have a negative test, you're good to go. The 13th isn't good enough.

In hospital news this morning the one near us, and the one we go to, is now 90% full.

It's so good of you KC to keep taking names off the Angel Tree. We are all so proud of you.

After all your cleaning K2, is your house now one of those where you have to take off your shoes when you go in? As a kid one of my friends parents put clear plastic furniture covers on everything and even a long plastic mat on all carpeting once you left the kitchen area.

Grocery shopping day. (Seems like we just did that.) The larger grocery store.

Befuddlement. That's the state we're in since yesterday where AT&T upgraded our TV boxes. (They mailed 3 of them to us.) A new unfamiliar remote along with all the channels now having different numbers. AHHH!

Good morning!

Dave - Have fun shopping today. Which shirt did you wear this time? Not that it matters as I assume you'll have a jacket on over the shirt.
Aside from Kegan, the others are unable to quarantine for 14 days at this point. They take every precaution they can to stay safe. Heck, Elaine's other son even eats lunch in his mother's classroom with her, rather than eat in the cafeteria with other kids. G&E told us how thrilled the kids all were with the negative testing. First words out of their mouths was that now they could come here for dinner after all! Just to be on the safe side, the 3 boys all ate outside.

Not much going on around here today. Just wrote out checks & cards to Laurie and Brian's families so the parents can get out and do some Christmas shopping in case they want something that's going to be on sale in the coming days. We gave G&E their check last night and will M&J their check when we see them this coming week. Then that will leave only few gifts for friends.

Might try to convince Bert that we need another trip to Aldi's. They have all the German cookies and candies for Christmas available as of yesterday. Even Gary was asking about that stuff last night. Funny how they look forward to certain things no matter how old they are. I love it!

Time to check out Publix new sale flyer that just came in the newspaper and make a shopping list for Bert's next trip there. But before I go, I have to ask if you have seen the video of the kid offering his help cleaning out the turkey while getting ready to cook it. If you haven't seen it (I have it posted on my page on FB), try to find it. It's got to be one of the funniest videos I've every seen!!

So on that note, once again I'll tell you all the stay safe and take care of yourself! :)

Hi gang! I've been busy putting the back of the house back together and washing all the bedding from the Spare bedroom. Amazing how much dust can be found when you go looking for it on shelves and bookcases! YUK. I think the bookcase in the spare bedroom is going to have to find a new home after the holidays or at least when I can have a garage sale. Not in a hurry, but something to think about.

DAVE: You DO NOT have to take your shoes off when you come to visit. I can always vacuum if you bring in dirt. Now if it's raining and you have WET SHOES I think you'd take them off on your own!! LOL
Art and I take our shoes off in the garage, there's a area for shoes, or at the inside of the back door if they're Flip-Flops! Jill and family are use to taking shoes off at their house, so they take them off to be comfortable when they come over.
Art's Mom had those Plastic covers on all the furniture in the main living area....which NOBODY ever sat on to begin with. Sure glad that went out of style decades ago! LOL

BB: Nice that the dinner went off good for all of you. Hopefully, everyone will continue to NOT have the Covid bug! Just pay attention to any symptoms the next few weeks. You never know even when people have been tested.

Comcast/Xfinity has some type of new smaller BOXES you can get FREE and I could save a few bucks by getting them for our TV's. Trouble is I just don't want to go through all the trouble of hooking them up and then calling and waiting on line forever to get help when the TV's don't work. Been there done that before. For now I'll suck up the few bucks extra charges. Besides, I bet you have to make a appointment with all this Covid stuff going on. The lines at Comcast in the GOOD TIMES use to be out the door with no empty seats inside. They can't do that now. o_O

Art is due back from his biking any minute and then we go to get his SHOT in the EYE! Amazingly the shots are working to shrink the anurisum that started all these shots.

Not sure if you folks have ever bought these delicious sweet breads in a box that they sell at this time of the year. Our Italian Veggi Market has them and they are to die for. Sliced and toasted or just plain. Look for them and try them. You'll be hooked! About $4.99 - $6.99 in a big square box. They all taste the same to me, so I buy what's on sale.
Gran Panettone Italian Cake, 35.25 oz: Amazon.com: Grocery & Gourmet Food

Okay, I'm off of here for now.

SAN....Are you okay? Hope so. Give us a HELLO.....it's good exercise for your fingers! LOL

K2 - I buy Panetone every year. I love it. I get the original, but they make other flavors also, like chocolate chip. I like it buttered or I have used it to make French toast. Believe me, one slice done that way is plenty. Bert tries to tell me each year not to buy it, but I still do. They carry it at Aldi's too!
The other thing we like to get this time of the year is stollen which is a German Christmas bread loaded with fruit. Bert's mother used to make 3-4 of them every year at this time to give to family or friends. It's a yeast bread and I don't have the patience to make one of them. I do like to make a brandied fruit cake with lots of fruit and lots of brandy!! LOL

Dave - I forgot to mention before that where we lived in NJ everyone had those plastic slip covers on the furniture, if you had any type of plush upholstery in the living room.

Now I'm getting hungry, so I'm out of here for now. :)

Good afternoon Bunnies!
We were a tick later getting to Costco than we wanted. There had been a crash on Front Road and it was closed so we had to detour around using some of the more rural roads. Obviously I wasn't going to work because we were enjoying the drive, slightly over the speed limit, and were passed by those in too big a hurry! Costco wan't too busy and we got what we went for. And then some. Lots of TP and paper towels, both on sale, so we picked up a "one per customer" pack of each. I did have on my "good" mask.

Got the pups to The Navy Yard for their walk. We parked up town so Katie could look in all of the stores. Yes, she loves to look in store windows. Not too hard to tell she's Lu-Ann's dog!
Ah, Panetone. You ladies sure know how to get a guy's mouth watering! I have never had French toast made that way. It sounds like a possibility for the future.

The best Stollen we used to be able to get around here Pat was from, believe it or not, Costco!
