Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

DEGREES and dropping even further through the night. The GAS company is going to love everybody jacking up their thermostats!

Good Night from PURE "COLD" Michigan.

Good Monday morning Bunnies!

The working-folk are really hating this day. Still recovering from a couple of holidays. Speaking of which, hope you guys are whittleing down your supply of leftover holiday food. Kathi has finally reached the bottom of the pile of Christmas cookies.

Thinking of you KC!

Thanks for checking in Bill letting us all know that you made it to Florida. I wasn't sure if you or your car would get there 1st.

I feel so sorry for you poor Floridians having to endure 70 degree temperatures today. Tough it out, you wimps. Our high will be 30.

If you told us K2, I forgot. When is or was your Serbian Christmas? Good grief, studded tires for a bicycle. Good call on getting that knee checked out again.

Lee; Your mention of grocery shopping reminded me of a news story from yesterday. It seems that the average person visits their grocery store 14 times every month. In for a jar of this and maybe the next day going in for a couple of cans of that adds up, I guess.

Keep wearing those masks, Wabbits. They also reduce your chance of getting infected with the flu.

10 degrees here in Michigan! Brrrr.
But at least it is SUNNY.

IT’s early I have nothing for you dear folks this morning. Good day to take down the Christmas tree.

Dave: Serbian Orthodox Christmas Eve services are Jan 6th. Christmas Day is Jan 7th.
I DOUBT that we will be going t9 either of the services Since I haven’t been going i to church on a regular basis lately. It’s always very crowded and I’m sure the people that come once or twice a year to church WON’T have any MASKS on.

You all take care and hope to be back later.

Waiting to here from the transport company re the status of the Prius, Dave. Delivery is supposed to be either today or tomorrow.
Lee, I guess the Patriots took out their frustration over last week's loss to the Bills by thumping the poor Jaguars yesterday. We were able to watch the game at a local Eagles lodge since the local station was only carrying the Miami game.
Went out to the Ocean Grill overlooking the ocean last night after the game and had a great meal. It was nice to have it still light at 5 or 5:30.
Kevin has been great in helping us get settled in and has been chauffeuring us until our car arrives. The condo is very nicely equipped if about anything we might need during our stay and the Publix, CVS, Walmart and a fruit grove which offers oranges, fruit and all sorts of fresh produce are only a very short drive away.
Not missing those 14 degrees days, K2. In fact, I think that very shortly I will go out for a pleasant walk around the property. Our living room window looks out on the golf course and reminds us of the house we stayed at our first years in Ft. Myers. This place has two swimming pools and a club house which we will visit over the next day or two. Slept in late this morning but hey, we are on vacation so I guess it is allowed.

Good afternoon. Had a buys morning with taking Bruce to get his INR test and while at the Dr's he talked with one of the nurses about getting dizzy this morning. His INR was low so the nurse called the Dr and it was decided for him to take 10 mg as soon as we got home and to pick up an injection to take as soon as I get it from the pharmacy and go back in tomorrow at 9 for a new INR test and then talk with the nurse practitioner, had to move his appt with the PC to later in the morning tomorrow.

Negc we are getting a Whirlpool, which one thing that is nice is the full time for a wash is 1 hour, of course the dishwasher has to be delivered.

The Instant Pot worked perfect yesterday and the chicken was delicious.

In working in the bedroom yesterday I moved a bookcase and partially used a shoulder so now it is hurting. So will put some Bio Freeze on it in a bit.

All have a great day.

Christmas "STUFF" is packed away for another year. YIPPEE.
It went fast since we didn't put too much STUFF all over the house.
"Less is Best"!

Still freezing here. We're up to 25F! A regular HEAT WAVE.

Thinking of making us a Quiche for dinner tonight. I have all the fixings and a salad added to round things off. Trying my best to NOT STAND on this darn PEG LEG of mine.

I get to go to the Ortho doctor tomorrow to get a Gel injection.

Up DAVE.... it's just a band-aid, but if it stops the pain I'm all for it. I'll be sure to let you know if it works. The Cortisone injection didn't to a thing! :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

Waiting to do a ZOOM visit with my niece for some
stupid demo she is doing to make a few BUCKS before she goes back to college. I already told I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANYTHING. She said I wouldn't have to. She gets paid by the interview not the sales. DUMBER than DUMB if you ask me.

Take care everyone. You know the drill.

BILL: Sounds like you got out of town just in time. Big snow headed to the East area. Enjoy the area and the warmed.

Dropping by to say a quick “Hello”.
Ontario is headed back into another lockdown. I feel so bad for small business owners…
Back later my friends.

Quick hi and good-bye around here. Bust day for us and now I'm waiting for Bert to get back from Publix with some wings. Just in the mood for them tonight. See you all in the morning when things should be quieter around here. Have a great evening and behave yourselves!!

Good morning Bunnies, and welcome to the 1st Tuesday of the new year.

Kathi and I both got sticker shock using our new prescription cards yesterday on our new medicare supplement plan. There's a $480 deductible a year on name brand drugs. (We only use those when there is no generic.) So her first prescription cost us over $500. And mine will also be over $500.

BUT, then the deductible will be taken care of for the year, and next month both will be back in the $100 range.

Are we Bunnies playing hide & seek? Seems like everyone is scattering all over the country. (This is going to be a tough round.) Bill is hiding in Florida, as Lee will be shortly. I've no idea where KC is hiding. We finally found BB recently.

Nancy; For those like me who had no idea what you meant by an "INR" test, The test measures how much time it takes for your blood to clot and will determine if you’re receiving the right dose of blood thinner. You're welcome.

No Christmas stuff left up for Serbian Christmas, K2? I'm going to tell the priest.

On Friday they are handing out Covid tests at a park here in Massillon. The City already has a plan on how you need to enter the park in your car. And will have police traffic control there. They will only be handing out 1 test kit per car.

Tomorrow I've got a visit with the surgeon who cleaned out one of my carotid arteries. Testing to make sure it's still clear.

This morning, I'm off to the treadmill and start watching another movie.

Sure is nice that since we're in to the new year many TV shows we watch are back to showing new episodes. And network news anchors are back at their desks.

Good morning, gang! Chilly morning here, but better than a lot of you are having this morning. So who has snow on the ground? Would you believe they had snow flurries up in the Panhandle of Florida yesterday?o_O It's chilly here right now, but will get back into the 70s this afternoon.

Dave - That's a healthy deductible both you and Kathi have to kick off the year. I sure am glad mine is much lower.

Not a lot going on around here today. stay safe, everyone, and behave your self!

Good “Freezing Cold” Morning Wrabbits!
Let’s just say I wish I was in Florida or a Caribbean Island right now!

I really have to get serious about buying those MEGA LOTTO tickets this year!

I’m seriously thinking of setting up my closet as a cave to crawl into and ’hibernate’ until about April! (If only that would work)

Dave: That’s a real kick in the butt for your prescription out of pocket. I’m sure you’re aware that you can ”change plans” once a year. I think it's in late November - early December. Start doing your homework.
I just figured my out of pocket prescription costs and it comes to roughly $320.00 a year. The UAW medical/prescription plan is a blessing to me. It’s a trust plan and they have a huge amount of money in it and it’s protected from greedy CEO’s stealing it. Thank goodness!

Last night I got through binge watching the series “EMILY IN PARIS”. The best part of the series was that it was easy to follow, a light story and the fact that they filmed it on the streets of Paris was fantastic. There are so many aerial shots showing the city. There is more than just the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Beautiful historic buildings. Wow.
It was on Netflix and if you have that on your TV it’s worth watching! I wish it never ended.

Out of here. Hope you all have a fantastic day.

Lee: Don’t over think the PACKING for your Florida trip. You must know by now that you don’t need half of what you think you do. Mix & Match.
LESS IS BEST! Nobody cares if you wear the same shorts or top 3 times in one week!

Missy's here gathering up the last of their stuff from the bedrooms & bathrooms that they didn't take the other day. As of right now, on Friday G&E's cleaning lady is coming to clean the house for us. That will be great, as I can't do it and I'll just leave our bedroom & bathroom for Bert to do next week, as there is still stuff hidden away in our room.

Temp has creeped up to 72, better than yesterday, but still kind of cook to my way of thinking.

Good afternoon everyone.
No, I don’t know where yesterday went.
We are supposed to soar into the mid 30’s under sunny skies today. Everything is covered in ice after the wet snow we had turned slick as temps dropped and a little more snow landed on top of it. Hopefully the sun will help get rid of the ice. I did get about 1/3 of the patio cleared so Katie and Ava could make it to the grass. Ice and long legs don’t mix well.
Cardiac Rehab was great
today. Tomorrow I have my final stress test before I graduate next Tuesday. If the hospital is still doing sessions seeing as "gym's" are closed for 21 days effective tomorrow. Yes, our moron Premiere (kinda like a governor) decided that now that the horses are gone it would be a good time to close the gates to deal with Omacron.
Hopefully Bruce is doing better today Nancy. Or at the very least the doc can get his meds on track.
So football watching Bunnies, what do you all think of Antonio Brown’s latest stupid move?

It even looked like your Tom Brady tried to calm him Bill. Both of our teams seem to have clinched a playoff birth. Remember what I asked you about not using up all of the warm weather, OK.
As a fella I worked with used to say about temps yesterday and today "It's colder than a hooker's heart". We enjoyed Emily in Paris too Kathie. Did ya know that she is drummer Phil Collins daughter? If you like a good mystery that twists and turns every step of the way try any of the Harlan Cobin series. The recent one, Stay Close, is a real thriller! Yep, I'm trying to take as little as possible. Which may be easy seeing as most of my stuff fits a body that was 25 pounds heavier and not as "buff" as my current one. :p
Well Momma Bunny, I agree with staying safe but behaving ourselves? Ya, we still have a little snow (and ice) on the ground. It was a different walk for the pups today because they salt the path through the park and along the water so heavily... They did look stylish in their winter coats though. I'm starting to get a real hankerin' for some "Crazy Good"... That's so nice of G&E to have their lady do your place.
Dave, if it's anything like here when that have free home test kits, the people line up so early it's nuts. Then they run out so fast. If you and Kathi go I hope you're able to get a kit. I hope that all goes well with your trip to the surgeon tomorrow. So what "treadmill movie" is tickling your fancy this week? That's some drug plan deductible my friend! I reckon if we had to pay for Lu-Ann's PD meds and my heart meds I'd be back in hospital because that would give me "The Big One" for sure.
Speaking of meds, the pharmacy just texted. Lu-Ann's prescriptions are ready. We both had to jump through hoops to get a 3 month supply to cover us while we're away. Kevin, the pharmacist, finally decided to simply bill OHIP and the insurance company as if he were filling them on a regular cycle.
My gosh, I've rambled on, haven't I?
Anyway, you all know the drill. Hands away from the face, masks social distance and so on!
Have a fantastic Tuesday.

Good afternoon. It was a busy morning with two Dr appts for Bruce and two places for him to pick things up at and then finally having lunch out. At the heart Dr he was told to quit using ointment on his neck as that can cause problems with INR so will be looking to see where I can buy Tiger Balm which he was told to try. And then the PC told him to start taking a multi vitamin so will see which one is the best for that.

All have a great day.

Wow! We're almost back to having our house back to just us once again. I'm not going to get used to it though, as G&E and the boys will be moving in in about 2 weeks. Is it time to take up serious drinking? LOL

Lee - Looking into having a glass of Crazy Good in the not too distant future. It sure would taste good right about now.
Bert read that book you mentioned . He said that the author has a new one coming out in March that he is looking forward to. Bert's got to stop at the library tomorrow. Just before I got sick, I had just gotten the new Janet Evonavich book from the library, but was too sick to ever read it, so I had Bert return it. I just had him put in a request not for it and the library notified him that they have the book read and waiting for me tomorrow. Now that the heat will be returning, it will be perfect for reading out on the lanai.

I took some leftover sauerbraten out of the freezer for dinner, so it's just about that time. I'm also going to say good night at this point. I'll see you all tomorrow. In the meantime, behave yourself and stay safe!

That Janet Evanovitch book was pretty good although it pretty much followed the usual plot pattern as previous ones.
Gas prices are all over the place down here ranging from as low as $2.09 to as high as $2.45 a gallon, all within a 10 or so miles radius of Vero.
Kevin, Rita and I took a ride to Ft/ Lauderdale to
check out a place for folks to say before our February cruise and got a good price at the La Quinta where we can leave our cars for the period of the cruise and there is shuttle service between the hotel and the pier (round trip) for a reasonable price.
Weather has been ideal although when we went out last night for pizza I could have taken a light jacket for the brief times we were out of the car.
Don't worry,Lee. There will still be plenty of good temperatures left when you arrive.Prius arrived around 10 am. Over the past few months I have regularly had to put air in the front passenger side tire, so I think that tomorrow I will get a new pair of tires.

Lee Posted: So football watching Bunnies, what do you all think of Antonio Brown’s latest stupid move?
Well, I think the guy is a TRAIN on a track to NOWHERE. He's been trouble on other teams from what I was reading. There are good PLAYERS out there just waiting to get out on the field or get picked up on a team. "Don't let the door hit you on the way out A. Brown".

Bill: Glad your car showed up okay. Nice that you're checking things out. I'm not a big FAN of you and Rita going on a cruise, but hey you've been around the block a few times and you are Triple VAX'd. Have fun paying for those tires!

BB: If I was BERT I would be looking for all the STASH you have in your Bedroom and put it in a box and then put it in the trunk of the CAR or a place in the garage. I'd WANT THAT BATHROOM / SHOWER/ TUB, SINKS, TOILET cleaned by the cleaning lady so Bert wouldn't have to do it. That's not a easy job. And as long as the G&E are paying and mooching let the cleaning lady CLEAN AWAY. And besides, she could CHANGE OUT the bedding and save Bert even more work. The man deserves to have that all taken care of.
Now don't get on my case. It's just a suggestion! :emoticon 0115 inlove: :emoticon 0152 heart:
guy whiskers GIF
Get Cappi busy vacuuming! LOL

Dave: All the best at the doctors appt. Hope you pass the test!

Little Mr Art rode his bike through a POT HOLE on the gravel road today that was Filled with ICE. His front tire went BANG INTO the hole and the HANDLE BAR on the right side went BANG into Art's rib cage. YUP, he's hurting. Should have never been on that road when you can't see where the HOLE ARE. Oh well, I gave him an elastic binder that has velcov on it to hold him in tight so when he walks or gets up his chest has some support. Also, gave him some GEL that is like Motrin for the soreness. He'll be hurting for a few days. I'll just leave it at that!

This is the best example I could come up with. Ha Ha

Nite all.

Morning Bunnies! Got your Powerball ticket for tonight's drawing?

No doctor's visit for me this morning. Got a call from his office yesterday saying they needed to reschedule it for the beginning of February.

K2; From what you've mentioned for a while, you and Art have the best medical insurance coverage than any of us. He sure was lucky getting a job where he was a member of the United Auto Work's Union. As for our Medicare supplement, we did change plans for 2022. We liked the plan I've been on since we retired, but to keep our great family doctor and her nurse practitioner we had to change since her doctor's group decided that they would no longer accept our medicare advantage plan. So we had to switch to a medicare supplement where we could go to any doctor or hospital we want. Even the Cleveland Clinic.

It's going to seem so quiet at your house for a couple of weeks, BB. And it's so great G&E are having your house cleaned. You could get used to that.

Lee; In my never to be humble opinion Antonio Brown was paid way too much to pull a childish stunt like he did. Wow, you're 25 pounds leaner now. Have you noticed how much easier it is to move around? As for my latest treadmill-movie; It's "Jumanji". A light and hoaky flick starring The Rock. But it's fun to watch and makes you smile and laugh. Never thought I'd like it.

Now Nancy, you get to explain to this dummy what a "PC" is. (Besides a computer.)

You're braver than I am, Bill. Taking a cruise at this time. Sounds like your gas prices are in a good zone.

OK KC, since you haven't posted in a while....It's time for me to start a rumor.

RUMOR has it that you joined a cult and moved to their commune in Tahiti. Have you found a handsome surfer dude that tickles your "fancy" yet?

Good morning!
Mid 30‘s F here at 6:00 am. But wait. It will feel like 5F when the winds blow in this afternoon!
I see that we are pretty well unanimous on the antics of Antonio Brown. Stupider still is the last report I saw that Bucs management say he is still part of the team.
Poor Art! I guess the good news is that he has gotten his seasonal bike mishap out of the way for now. I do hope that he’s not feeling like an apple or banana! You know, a bump on the outside leaves a bruise on the inside. Katie, it’s no wonder your signature says “always something”.
We enjoyed Jumanji too Dave. When you consider each character is portraying somebody else it’s even funnier. We didn’t think the follow up was as good though. Danged medical appointments being switched on you.
Ya, I’m not too sure about boarding a floating Petrie Dish for a while Bill.
I’m sure the day will come when our health care will be “privatized”. Right now it’s good that we can see any doctor we want. Mind you we do have to wait for specialists unless it’s a real emergency. The wait times here aren’t as bad as they were in Waterloo Region. Even worse in Toronto.
It‘s rumoured that a certain missing bunny HAS been in touch with her hutch mates. I believe that The RCMP may also have tracked her down. The Mounties ALWAYS get their person.
When Calls The Heart Nathan GIF by Hallmark Channel

That said, you all stay safe and well and have a Wonderful Wednesday
.

Good morning, gang! Happy Hump Day to one and all!!

Lee _ OMG! That's going to be some temperature drop you're going to have today. Stay warm and don't let those puppies get cold. I'm be so ready to get out of Dodge.

Time now for my humble opinion of Antonio Brown ... The guy has been an idiot as long as I can remember. He was a nightmare when he was with the Steelers and things have not gotten any better since. Why these teams continue to keep him, is beyond me. Maybe he's got pictures? LOL

Kathie - Sorry to hear that Art hurt himself. Seems like he does that annually around this time of the year. You need to take better care of your man, ya hear?

Dave - Thanks for the reminder about the Powerball ticket. I had forgotten about it. Now to just hope we win something. I'm getting tired of constantly losing. We bought instant tickets for everyone for Christmas. For the $100. spent, winnings amounted to $45. Definitely not the best return on the money.

Bill - Glad to hear that the Prius made it to Florida. Nice that you checked out a place to stay before your cruise. I will definitely be picking your brains about how your cruise goes, as we plan out cruise in February. As of right now, we do not intend to cancel it. We need a vacation!!

This is so funny these days around here in the morning. We got up before 8:30. While I finished getting ready, Bert made me a cup of tea and got out all the things I use first thing at the kitchen table. He also puts the TV on. All this prep is so that he can go back to bed for a couple of hours. He's now been asleep for 2 hours, so I really think it's time for him to get up. Time to hit the intercom!!!

Have a super day, everyone, and stay safe.
