Let's Play BALDERDASH!!! (copyrighted game name)

Thank you, Funnel... I like an honest person....yippee, another point for meeeeeeeeeeeee for copoclephily!. But who is counting, right?

postiler:

1. Effective management of a vineyard

2. Someone who scribbles on paper

3. One who sets fence posts

4. One who writes notes in the margins of textbooks

# 4. One who writes notes in the margins of textbooks

Now, I'm going with # 4, but # 2 is kind of, sort of, maybe, the same answer. LOL

Yes, Glo-ree-bee certainly did kinda sorta have the right answer so I'm giving her a half point. The real answer was in the margins of a textbook which seemed to be common when I doublechecked that was closer to the real answer....so Glo....why didn't you guess the right answer? Even if you'd chosen your own, I could have given you a full point! :)

So...full point to Tobyn and Corky, who also had Funnel bestow her with another for that vineyard!! Come one Funnel...give me a definition that will fool both of them!!

rippier:

1. A ceremonial double edged sword

2. Stretching a cord to its limit

3. Insane repetition of meaningless words

4. Unlike the bustier, the rippier is full bodice and girdle combined for men

Going to pick a good word for tomorrow...Funnel put your thinking cap on! :)

Hi to my Balderdash friends!! :)

I think for
rippier I will go with:

# 3. Insane repetition of meaningless words

Oh no! Not again! :madd::bang::biggrin:

The easy way for rippier would be to go with the flow and say #3 but I'll say #1 instead.

Going to pick a good word for tomorrow...Funnel put your thinking cap on! :)

I feel all empty... it takes almost all of my energy to guess (and get busted by Tobyn or Corky).
But one never knows...

/Erik

Oh dear, Funnel! Hate to say you got Tobynized!~! and both Corky and Tobyn chose the correct answer with repetitive words but...tomorrow is another day... try for one of these...

infundibulum:

1. A channel for cooling air in a jet engine

2. Rocky ledge under a cascading fall

3. The web of skin between the thumb and index finger

4. A funnel-shaped passage in the heart

Good luck!

Bread says it sounds like a medical term so of the choices presented, she said go with 4. A funnel-shaped passage in the heart. TRUST ME she says . . . . . . .

:madd:
It's OK, I'm used to this now...

For infundibulum I think I'll trust Bread, #4.
Let's hope it's not one of Tobyn's tricks!

/Erik

I had thought that #4 was maybe a definition Funnel had made up!. Since he has chosen it maybe not so I will agree it is #4 - a Funnel- shaped passage to the heart.

Are... you... really... sure...? :whistle::scratch:

/Erik

lol
Well...Funnel..you are back on track!!! You, along with Tobyn (or should I say Bread!) and trusting Seagrandma have scored a point for the FUNNEL shape in the heart..and yes, you might think I am leaning that towards Funnel but he already indicated his comprehension of that word in his definition email to me before I posted the definitions to choose from.............AND, Corky..you gave Funnel a point for his engine cooling definition!! woohoo...the competition sharpens!

As for fewtrils (FYOO-trills)

1. Curly stray hairs by a woman's ear

2. Small ornamental knickknacks

3. Japanese rice basket

4. The small openings in the lattice of a trellis

Bring it on...bring it on...and Funnel...send more definitions!!

4. The small openings in the lattice of a trellis

Now doesn't this run the gamut fro hair, to knickknacks, to basket, to trellis . . . . .what to pick, what to pick. . . . .

Eeny, meeny, miney, moe . . . . Lets go with #4 two days in a row! #4. The small openings in the lattice of a trellis

Hey, Funnel...2 points...good for ya, keep going!!

YES!
Thank you Corky! :thankyou:
What a great round, 2 points! That has to be my personal best!

I didn't mean to scare you Seagrandma... or did I?

My guess for fewtrils is #4. I have to admit that I don't understand all the words in the explanation, but I'll go for #4 anyway. Maybe 'cause I trust Tobyn this time... or...

/Erik

Welllll....NONE of you guessed right, but then that is not surprising to Tobyn and Corky who guessed their OWN answer....HAH! Funnel, you fell off the track and got Tobynized again but fear not, as Tobyn is going on vacation for two weeks... (HOW COULD YOU LEAVE US!!.. we'll have to find a replacement....perhaps we should make a general invitation on the board.) Mom, you gravitate to my silly definitions when I fill in remaining gaps. Of course the right answer was knicknacks.

harquebusade:

1. A lady of the evening

2. A difficult trick that is done on a trapeze

3. Announcing store specials in a flyer

4. A dominate party in an abusive relationship

Ha-ha-ha...only MY answer made sense to me, Seamom.
