Hi everybody!
Sheree, a zero lot line means you have a very small lot which means less mowing, yard work, etc. We had an acre in NC and it was a chore to maintain.

Bad news ...we can`t make this cruise. Hope has to work. I did try but it didn`t work. I will check in now and than just to give George a hard time. BTW as of yesterday I am off probation at work and the Intrim is now off of my title. With a 5% raise. Here is my new title

Congrats Jimmy - but I am sorry that you can' t make it. We are not booked yet either. With my recent job change, I have picked up a hospital with some union employees. (This is a new experience for me.) Anyway - I am trying to find out when negotiations are before we book. Greg has gotten approval for the time off - I need to figure it out to see whether or not I can go.
Congrats on the official new title Jim. Sorry you will not be able to cruise in 2012.

Thanks Regina - things are busy but they are going well. Tomorrow is ground-breaking day on the new house. We're excited!

Regina, we are being told that we'll be done in late January.....we are hopeful that it's true since we are paying an arm and a leg for our short term apartment rental!

Ours was 4 months...which were arguably the most miserable 4 months of our lives, living with my mom and her husband. Sheree...I wish we would have done what you did, and do a month to month lease...can't put a price on your sanity!
We were lucky, we stayed in Toms Mom's senior park while ours was being built. She was up north. All we had to do was pay the utility bill, the phone bill and the lot rent. We were able to save money while building. Then I just spent what we saved on new stuff for the new house.

Good news - we've got our vacations approved - so I think I'll be getting us booked in the next week or so!
Ahhh...the rent thing. It's a nice little apartment. We're paying a touch more than our mortgage in rent, so that is a bit of a pain because it does feel like we are seeing our money fly out the window. But....it is the price of sanity! We've got a living room, dining area, bathroom, bedroom and small kitchen downstairs, and then a loft upstairs that we're using as an office and the laundry room is off that. I am glad to have a laundry in our apartment versus having to go somewhere. The good news is that we are just off of I-90 so the commute to work is much easier. Also, we are about 8 minutes from the lot where the new place is being built. They've been working on it for about a week know. It's looking good so far! Once I get the blog up and running, I'll send you guys a link.
Well, good luck with the family dinners. It'll be just the two of us, and I don't plan to get out of my jammies all day. It'll be a resting day for us.
So - what types of cabins did you reserve? Barb, you said an aft? We may want to do that again. I hope the airfare prices come down. We're going to try to do Southwest so that the baggage fees don't kill us, though we do get some perks with Continental, including our first bag free. I guess we'll see.

We will only have the Mothers over so it will just be the 4 of us so that is not so bad.
