*BIG CATS INVADE THE CARNIVAL VALOR - 5/26/12*

Happy belated Thanksgiving all. Survived dinner with both families over yesterday, and then proceeded to spend from 8 pm last night, until 2 pm today, partaking in the madness that can only be known as BLACK FRIDAY!!!!! The changes to stores to open late last night really changed the turm-out...complete insanity! At wal-mart, a bunch of grown men went to blows...and then to jail...over video games! Just goes to show you can take the person out of the trailer park...but you can't take the trailer park out of the person.

hope everyone survived the weekend. It's back to work and time to diet! As usual ate to much, but dinner was great! My husband is a very good cook.

Regina,
We ate too much also. Back to sensible eating so we can do it again Christmas! LoL

Sheree,
We booked aft on deck 7.

George,
We opted not to go out in the madness for Black Friday.

Any recommendations at these ports of call? I haven't researched anything yet. Have a blessed week.

Barb, what a smart woman you are. We opted not to shop on Friday either. Just a quick stop in to Publix to pick up a bottle of wine to take to Tom's brothers for our Thanksgivng dinner number 2.

Still eating Turkey salad today for lunch. I am about to turn in to a big fat turkey. (Shut up George! no comment from you on that remark)

I am turkeyed out and it's time to toss the leftovers now!

We locked in our interest rate today at 3.5% with no points - so we are really happy. Now if I can find a cheap cruise rate.....

G'day all,

Sor ry it's been a few days since I last posted...extensive vehicle issues that cost an arm / leg. We are way late on the christmas shopping...we usually have a pretty good start by now. Went out yesterday and got a small start for Arrielle. The older she gets the more difficult / expensive shopping for her gets. Everything is electronics now. Many home projects needed here as well, a re-landscape of the back yard is probably are biggest objective this upcoming year. Some tile replacements / paint projects on the minor side.

George what does it take to plant a couple of cacti.
Jim congrats and sorry that you wont be cruising with us.
Barb hey
Sheree I hope the house construction goes smooth.

Tommy,
Hi! You are so funny! Waiting for George's response to your landscape idea.

Sheree,
Congrats, that is a great interest rate! I believe our rate is 3.75. I agree toss the turkey!

Regina,
You went to two dinners???? You are so popular! We were invited to my sister's house and son in law's mother's house. We visited my sister before going to dinner. We to the other grandparents' house to be with the grandchildren.

Have a blessed week!

Yes - hope you are over the flu George...and Regina, hope you are over camping. I truly don't understand why you subject yourself to such pain! Yuck! I need my air conditioning/hair dryer/controlled environment that is free of creepy crawlies!

I finished my shopping today - yay!

And, the house is going well. Greg should be posting more pictures tomorrow on his FB page. We now have shingles on the house. We were lucky enough to get inside on Saturday. It was really cool to stand inside the house and just dream about where things would go and what needs to be done. It was only about 8 months ago when we decided to get things together so that we could get the house on the market. It's hard to believe in just over a month, we'll be in our new place. Thankfully the weather has been really good here. And they said that once we are "under roof" there is not much that the weather can interfere with. We've been under roof for over a week now, and all is well.

What is everyone planning to do for the holiday?

Glad to hear the house is coming along well and fast it seems. Building is so much fun.

Sheree camping in now in an RV. So I am am making oprogress. It has it's own shower and toilet. Yeah!

Yes, all kinds of electrical outlets and a combination microwave convection oven, a fridge, tv and a "Queen" size bed. So much beter than a tent. Even room for one of the dog crates.

Sounds like Anne's kind of camping...why is "Green Acres" theme running through my head?

George,
Sorry to hear the family has been ill.

Regina,
Where did you go camping? I keep telling you to camp at Jetty Park!

Sheree,
Wow, it sounds like your house is being built quickly! I know it must be exciting. I was so thrilled to move from the studio aptmt Greg and I rented.

We just returned from NC. My uncle (Mom's brother), passed away on Dec. 10th. He was the patriarch of the family and will certainly be missed.

Just sent out cards today. Hope everyone gets them on time.

I need to get busy catching up chores.
