*BIG CATS INVADE THE CARNIVAL VALOR - 5/26/12*

,

Regina,
Have you and Tommy completed any design projects to your home? We are considering granite, but are waiting for the right time. It is rather expensive and for the same money we can cruise!
Have a great day!

Barb,
No home projects around here. We do need to paint our house though. I guess that will be our next big project. Not to mention the bathroom ceiling where Tom fell though it last Christmas, up in the attic. Just can't seem to get him motivated enough to fix that. Since it is the guest bathroom and does not get used much he forgets that it needs to be repaired.

That is where she makes me sleep.

George,
I agree with you. RCCL Oasis/Allure could improve their itinerary. We enjoy the ship enough to sail Eastern/Western again and again.

Tommy,
Repair the roof. Come on, you can do it before Christmas! Regina will cheer you on!

Sheree,
So tell us about your new home. If you need pointers on decorating, Regina and Tommy can hook you up! They have a beautiful home.

Have a great weekend!

Sheree do not listen to Barb she is the one that can hook you up. She has the beautiful home.

Has anybody started Christmas shopping? My goal is to have it done before Dec. 1st. I hate driving in the madness! We are wanting to buy our daughter an IPad 2 or a laptop. Her laptop no longer works and she can't afford to buy another one. Either way, it is an expensive gift!

Have a great day!

I have no money to start. Tom has me on a strict budget and it does not allow for Christmas shopping until Dec. UGH! I think I am just giving money.

I still do a good, old fashioned Christmas Club. It's not a lot of money each pay ($25) but in mid-October I have $600+ dollars which really helps out! I already warned my immediate family that presents will be boring this year....it's hard to do much online shopping since it's a bit of a pain to get a packaged delivered to our temporary apartment, so I think a good 80% of my shopping will be gift cards. I can be creative again next year! My brothers are trying to get over the fact that I won't be baking. Poor babies....

Regina and Sheree,
I understand about the budget. We don't have a Christmas Club, but do stash money away in a Christmas acct. This really helps us because we buy Santa for the four kids. I wrapped some of the presents yesterday. The oldest is sneaky and there is no place to hide them in this house. I hate to pay shipping, so I will probably just shop sales papers. For the older children and adults, gift cards are the way to go.

I have been in a baking mood lately. The bad thing about baking is I eat the goodies. Neither one of us need the calories. Oh well, it is the holiday season. Bake, eat, and be merry.

We took Mattea (10 y/o) on a cruise in June. She only had 3 meltdowns, but enough for us to know not to take her with us anytime in the future.

G'day all,

Sor ry it's been a few days since I last posted...extensive vehicle issues that cost an arm / leg. We are way late on the christmas shopping...we usually have a pretty good start by now. Went out yesterday and got a small start for Arrielle. The older she gets the more difficult / expensive shopping for her gets. Everything is electronics now. Many home projects needed here as well, a re-landscape of the back yard is probably are biggest objective this upcoming year. Some tile replacements / paint projects on the minor side.

Hi everybody,
George, I am glad we have zero lot line here with very little yard to landscape. I am almost finished shopping for the oldest grandaughter. I ordered American Girl stuff for her. Now, all I need to do is go by Justice and buy a gift card there for her. Then I can start on the other 3 children. Greg is off on Friday. We are planning on going by Target to do a little shopping.

Have a great week!

We use to have zero lot line in our old house. I did not like it but I am sure Tom did since there was less to mow. He has to maintain our yard as well as his Mom's.

George hope that you were able to get your car taken care of.

Our first house had a zero lot line...didn't really care for my neighbor's house being my property line. We've been meaning to re-do the landscape around the pool for years...hopefully we can afford it this year. Arrielle still loves the American Girl movies. We have several Justice stores, but Arrielle didn't shop there because they typically didn't carry her sizes.

You know what they say...anything is possible as long as you have the cash! I thought Tom's mom sold her house?
