dei6360, I would not have served the wine if I asked and they said no. I was in their public place and under their supervision. My goal is not to be public and push my agenda into everyone's face, it's to have the ability when I feel it appropriate to share a glass of wine or whatever occassionally (very occassionally) with one of my teenage or young adult children. Once again, I would only do it with my own children, in my own home or in a special restaurant or on a special occassion and then only in small or moderate amounts. I'm not "Bar hopping" with my kids.
I've spent way too much time on this so I won't be visiting this thread again.
