Good evening cats,

Yes, boss man is in the house...lol. Glad to see some old faces back on with us. We have records to set here, so we need all the help we can get. I'm thinking a new server might be in order by the time this thread hits its stride.

I got an email from someone who has been following our group here, she can't cruise with us, but she is having fun following us (well maybe just me).

Michelle, thanks for the email, I just don't like cruising in the winter. But, never say never!

Denise, did you ever open those pictures I sent you? It's all about Karma girl! As a show of good faith you should send me a copy of that tape and then I'm sure you will be able to open those pictures. If you can't, I will burn you some software to open them...not that your deserving though.

Any new bookings lately?

Almost forgot,

Cheeky and Phizer, congrats to both of you. Hope you both are as happy as the ole ball and chain and I am...Hope she don't see this!

It took me forever to read all the posts from yesterday. Good job Yogini on teaching us our new terminology. You crack me up.

I was happy to hear from you Michelle and Kay. Its about time girls! Mumsie will be back on the boards in about 3 weeks, as soon as she gets new glasses. It's driving her crazy not being able to read these, but maybe I will read her some this weekend.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the well-wishes! Yogini, the certificate is on the way in your email a little later today. Just gotta get a few things done before Shabbat.

As for my kitty cats .... ends up it's not 6 months. I could never do that. Ends up it's for 30 days. It's still bad, but doable. And you can go visit them every day (all day if you want) and they come out of their cages together. Not the best, but I can accept it. Costs about $5000 to get them there, though.

In the end it comes down to the fact that he's very close with his family in Australia, he has a great job .. good friends. I have almost no family left .. They all died young. So I'd be leaving my brother, aunt and mother (and I don't speak to my mom). I also have to keep in mind that his dad isn't the healthiest, and it would be a shame to be so far away from him.

So ... Just when you were wondering if I had CHUTZPAH (a lot of nerve), I can now confirm it. I called my ex (who left me a day before our official engagement), to find out where the diamond wholesaler was, where we went! LOL .... So he wished me a mazal tov and I was on my way! Screw him, and better diamonds for me!

So when Phizer comes in December, we'll be OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL!

Ok, I'm out to do my stuff .... talk soon,
xoxo Cheeky

Well it is Friday afternoon and almost time to go home.....

<img src=http://addictscove.com/icon/yogini.gif> , I can't believe you are still here!!

Well all have a good weekend .......

Hey y'all,

Greetings from the frozen tundra. It was 101 degrees here today, with no relief in sight.

Sorry I haven't had much time to post, I have the second part of that exam tomorrow and I have been studying for the better part of two weeks now. Wish me luck, I'll let you all know tomorrow how it goes.

George..
Good Luck I know you can do it !!!!!... I have a test in Nov. and passing it will mean I will be headed to better places :) :)
Have a good night everyone

Happy Saturday!!!

Good luck George and you too Jim!!!!! Nice here today, around 70, just got back from my morning walk, whew..lol. I'm going to get Rae to post today, so look out for her, ok?

I'll check back in later.

Kay

Hey y'all,

Well, I just got back and the test went great. I'm confident that I did quite well. I was quite wired when I got home, but now that I've had a chance to sit down, I have hit a wall. I'm going to take a nap and then I will check in later.

Good Morning y'all,

Just checking in with everyone. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Right about now Sheree and Greg are getting off the Paradise, I'm sure post cruise depression has set in already. Remember sitting on the pool deck of the Glory waiting to get off the ship, most depressing feeling in the world. It's hard to believe that it's already been over for about a month and a half now. How many days till the Mariner...

Denise, Chris, Julie, Doris...Arrielle got your card and was all excited. She has put it in her special "treasure box" . She is writing you all back a letter, probably be out in the mail tomorrow. Anne says hi and wishes we lived there so that we could make the get togethers. She was depressed when she seen the photos of you all last weekend. If it wasn't for our jobs, we would move out to Florida. Just have to wait until we retire, then we plan on cruising four times a year.

Jim, I want to go do some scuba on the next cruise, can you possibly give me a crash course when I get there? Always wanted to try it, just don't have anywhere here in the desert to do so.

Well, it's football day....I hope your Seahawks lose David. I'll check in later.

Good Evening All Big :kitten!!

I hope everybody had a great weekend!!

After this weekend's holiday...it looks like there won't be another for Cheeky & Phizer (and me now too since I am officially an honorary jew thank you very much for my certificate Cheeky!! ;) lol!) until Chanukkah (December 20th), so plenty of time for research to give you guys some new vocabulary words to learn for that holiday!! LMAO!! Believe it or not...there really is a Judaism101 website! It's website address is www.jewfaq.org!!! I'm kvelting!! (And probably kvetching too...but I gotta look up the definition for that before I know for sure!) But for now...here's this...

Sabbath-Related Greetings

Shabbat Shalom (shah-BAHT shah-LOHM)
Hebrew. Literally, sabbath peace or peaceful sabbath. This is an appropriate greeting at any time on shabbat, although it is most commonly used at the end of a shabbat service.

Gut Shabbes (GUT SHAH-biss; gut rhymes with put)
Yiddish. Literally, good Sabbath. Like shabbat shalom, this is a general, all-purpose shabbat greeting. It is more likely to be used in general conversation or when greeting people, while shabbat shalom is more commonly used at the conclusion of a service.

Shavua Tov (shah-VOO-ah TOHV)
Hebrew. Literally, good week. This greeting is used after Havdalah (the ceremony marking the conclusion of shabbat), to wish someone a good forthcoming week.

So I guess it would be appropriate to say to Cheeky & Phizer "Shavua Tov" after this past Shabbat for their upcoming week!

SHAVUA TOV TO YOU ALL AND GOODNITE!!

;) Yogini

Hi everybody! We're home from the Paradise, and as George predicted (he's so wise) we have post cruise depression! I'll try to do a review in the next week and most likely will post it in the old neighborhood, even though I don't go there much anymore. We had a good time, and got some good news about a possible second smoke-free ship, which is nice for those of us who really enjoy that environment. We had a long trip back due to volunteering to be bumped for $300 in travel vouchers, meal vouchers and a first class upgrade voucher, then our re-booked flight was oversold and delayed in taking off out of Newark. Almost got more vouchers but we really wanted to get home at that point. Loved St Thomas (about the 5th time there) and stocked up on jewelry much to my husband Greg's dismay. Nassau was very nice as we ventured over to Atlantis and donated to the casino. The other port was Casa De Campo, Dominican Republic and we had to wonder why Carnival chose to go there. There was nothing near the terminal - your only choice was to purchase a tour from Carnival (hey, it all makes sense now.) Overall a great time, but I am not looking forward to the laundry! I've either had too much Diet Coke or I am just an insomniac because after going through my 100+ e-mails I had to come here and catch up. This after getting home at close to 11:30 PM. So, first I have to thank y'all (I am trying to start using that phrase) for your well wishes before our cruise, and second, say congrats to Cheeky and Phizer - how exciting!!! I am also laughing (respectfully, of course!) at all the Jewish information that is being posted! The only thing I say all the time is "oy vey" and my husband looks at me like I am nuts. Don't ask me where I picked that up! The story about people not seeing snow makes me laugh too. A few years back I was visiting my brother in West Palm Beach at Christmas and my mother and I were picking up fried chicken to take on his boat. The girl working at the chicken place made some comment about it being chilly (mid 70's) and we told her that we had a wind chill of thirty below back home. The girl looked at us and said "Thirty below what?" And couldn't understand how it could possibly be that cold in the US. Ah - the pleasures of living where the seasons really change! So, we're even more excited about going you guys next year, especially now that our airfare is paid for!!! We saw the Voyager in port and can only imagine what the Mariner is going to look like. Oh - and count me in on the ice skating competition. I think it would have to be hysterical on a moving ship! Ok - that's it for now as my Diet Coke is apparently wearing off now and I must go to sleep! More later - Sheree
