We decided to cancel our Disney World Trip :D

We were just about to make reservations for Disney World, when DD Stephanie announced that both she and her boyfriend Andrew would rather spend their vacation money on the July cruise with us instead of going to Disney World... they couldn't afford to do both.

DW JoAnn and I really didn't want to go to Disney World by ourselves (we've been there so often). JoAnn already took the vacation time end of April, so we needed to decide what to do... I did my research :)

We're finally booked on one of our "dream vacations"
We are REALLY excited and busting at the seams about this since we've talked about going there since forever !! X(

I guess you can tell where we're going by the picture :lol

We're staying at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort for one week. 4/27- 5/4
We booked NONSTOP roundtrip flights from Newark-Honolulu-Newark ( 10 hrs. 40 min ::o )

Now the planning stages begin :D
 
:thumb Sweet vacation Herb and I'd much rather go there then Disney myself :lol Have fun with the planning!
 
Suhweeeeeeeeeeeet!!! Man, oh, man....that looks wonderful. And non-stop from Newark? Fantastic! Don't know if I can handle 10 + hours in a plane at one time...but I would give it a shot for sure. It is all daytime flying or over night?
 
Hey, isn't that about the same time it would take to fly there from down here?

I love Hawaii - - it is a long flight - but it doens't seem that long -

Keep us up on the planning - - we hope to go back sometime soon.
 
We have cancelled 4 cruises booked from last Oct-next Sept (supposed to get back to FLL today from our Miracle cruise) so I was all ready to feel sorry for you, then you pull this trick! :grin I think you made a GREAT alternative plan! Sure looks like a beautiful place to vacation. Enjoy BOTH your countdowns and glad it all came together so quickly! (tu)
 
Sounds like you made a good trade there Herb although Wakki looks more like Deisney Land than it did my first trip 25 years ago. Save the Disney Land trip for the grandkids. I had to wait for the greats but it was worth it.
 
Anytime Hawai'i is mentioned, I become GREEN with envy! Wonderful choice, Herb and JoAnn - I know you'll have a fantastic time. I'll say Aloha to Waikiki Beach for you when I'm there next month. :grin

I am pretty sure U two WILL enjoy your hiatus to the Tropical Paradise called Hawaii. Well all except for the plane ride anyways. :grin Enjoy that short countdown. :thumb

I will be going to the same resort in April, with my daughter and her B/F. Not for a full week, me just 5 days, them for 8 days. I am going to try to cram as much as I can in those few days!
