Scooter rental
Okay, after much consideration and lots of scary stories I have decided not to rent scooters. I kept thinking I should since we did it there in the past. I have however realized that if I fell and hit my head I could possibly become crazier than I am now ,and that my friends would not be good. Also at my age my bones would break just at the site of a motor bike.

I can't wait, either! Once my cabin is PIF tomorrow, I thought I would give myself a break from trip planning. Instead, I have begun browsing excursion information and lining up tentative itineraries for Bermuda. I haven't been there since 1991 and I am excited to go back. This cruise was a more or less last minute decision, but I think it was a good decision. My mom, who will be accompanying me, is sitting in 3 feet + of snow in Maine...she is ready to leave TOMORROW!

really not sure what to do about excursions. we have been to bermuda a few times before and think we may just want to grab a cab tour, or just take buses and ferries and explore on our own. been to most of the beaches already and would like to see some things we hadn't seen before. trying to find that out of the way surprise place. i keep researching the island and hope something will pop up.
if anyone comes up with something interesting to see , let me know.

I booked my dinner at the pinnacle and I purchased a beverage card and a voda tonic set up for our cabin and was already charged. HAL rep. told me I would get a full refund if I cancel the request ahead of time. I only did this so I could pay a few things off ahead of time. I know it's the same amount of money, but it feels less painful this way.

Not interested in pre booking any beverage packages. I'm kind of shocked that you can pre reserve at the Pinnacle and I'm not sure I like that at all! I would much prefer to be able to do that once I board and can make plans with friends. However I guess if you snooze you lose so probably no dinner for me at the Pinnacle. What I really want to know is if I pre book a shore excursion will they charge my card immediately and if I change my mind about excursions can I cancel. My line of preference does not charge my card until sailing and I can cancel 24 hours prior to the excursion time....how does HAL handle this? If they charge my card at the time of booking I suspect we will not be doing any HAL shore excursions....though I suspect excursions in Bermuda are pretty easy to arrange on your own.
