Have been starting to look at the on-board indulgences. With the DGDs in tow, we were interested in the beverage packages. Currently, HAL is offering four, pre-paid beverage cards. A 15% beverage service charge will be automatically added to all beverage purchases and will be deducted from the value of the card at the time of purchase.
$50 Beverage Value Card - Purchase for $45 and receive $50 toward soda, espressos, non-alcoholic beverages, wine, beer and spirits.
$100 Beverage Value Card - Purchase $90 and receive $100 toward soda, espressos, non-alcoholic beverages, wine, beer and spirits.
$50 Non-Alcoholic Beverage Card - Purchase for $45 and receive $50 toward any soda, espressos and any other non-alcoholic beverages.
$50 Soda Beverage Card - Purchase for $25 and receive $50 toward soda purchases only.
You can use any of the cards for sodas/pop/soft-drinks; but you'll only be getting a 10% discount unless you use the Soda Beverage Card! So, it looks as though the DGDs will each be getting Soda Cards. Either thay make them last, or they learn to drink iced tea!
Note - From what I've found, if you have any credit left on the card at the end of the cruise ... *poof*
It isn't carried over, but if any of your original purchase price is left, it can be credited to your on-board account. (i.e. - Buy a $100 card for $90. End of cruise, you have $12 left on the card. Only $2 can be credited to your account. - If you have $9.90 left on the card ... no credit to your account)
