a solution to the old guy by himself just occured to me............ladies when they stare use your best deep male impersonation voice to say " hello fellas" followed by a wink and watch tnem scramble to get back down to the other deck. Do ya think it would work?

Guess I'll have to find the sunglasses and wait on the stairway by the sign with the bubbly and give it to the first gal to pass by. But then, will she share it with the others?

(Remember, I promised not to go up there and besides I just might get one of those deep throated welcomes, as bebcat?? suggested-- OH MY)

Hey Coffeecups, no problem mon, I’m a hard guy to offend. This subject is just my pet peeve on the boat. I can’t stand people who get their jollies by making others uncomfortable. You sound like a great guy, just find a lady to escort you up and join the party. Maybe I should amend my post by stating that it’s the single guys with no purpose other than to stare at boobies that are most unwelcome. The reality is that every guy who comes up unescorted is immediately suspected as a perv or covert picture taker until proven different. Happy sailing!

yes, your main concern was originally mine too!

by the way, looks like this thread is just about finished.

Wow..... everyone is still hanging out in the topless thread! That must mean something...
Well, our cruise is only 4 days away and we cant wait anymore.
Oh one other thing.... the answer to this whole topless dilemma.
The first official Carnival Nude Cruise!!!!! You think they'll go for it?

If they get enough people clamoring for such a cruise and then all the legal and moral issues taken care of -- yes it could happen. It would take a grass roots effort to get enough people together and DEMAND it. It is the squeaky wheel that gets the oil.

ps of course this would not be my cup of tea.

probably lose my job since I'm supposed to be a role model to young persons

There is a nude cruise on the Carnival Legend Feb 7-15, 2005. Prices START at $1100.00 inside and go up quickly. This is May and the boat is already mostly sold out. Only a few balcony rooms left. With a boat selling out eight months in advance at greatly inflated prices, you would think someone would schedule more adult orientated cruises.

Wow, almost sold out.... I knew Florida was a hip state..... but this is way cool !!!!!!!
I would LOVE to hear the jokes the cruise director will come up with for THAT cruise!!!
WE WANNA GO ! ! ! ! !

I want to read your review if you go!

somojim, I'm sure it will quickly become an annual cruise and then more frequently. Then other cruise lines may follow

oh my a nude cruise....are you serious? hmmmmm i think i will pass on this one. am a bit of a prude for totally nude OR is it clothing optional?!?!? lol :)

Now Sophie !!!!! If it WERE clothing optional..... would you go? Remember, this isn't the same as topless sunbathing on the funnel deck!!!!

Snowmojim, I tried to look up the Carnival nude cruise for Feb. 7-15 2005 on the Legend.
I looked on Carnival.com and it didn't come up. Where did you find this cruise listed?
(relax folks, I'm not springing for $1100 per person for the lowest catagory cabin)

mike-suz - i would have to pass on nude cruise. but can't wait to read your review on it!!! lol :)

Reminds me of a cautionary tale one cruise director told in his disembarkation talk. Seems that on the last night of one of the short "party" cruises a guy stuffed all his clothes in his suitcases, threw them outside his door and went to bed nude. He slept until "last call" and ran off the ship and through customs. He had nothing to declare.

No, a cruise director actually told that story on one of my cruises. Whether it actually ever happened, or is just an anecdote from the handbook for new cruise directors, I don't know. Kind of like the story of the tattoo someone got in Cozumel with the legend "Satin Rules" written above a charicature of a red devil.

Yes, I heard that story too on one of my cruises. In fact, I think I heard it more than once. It may be a standard story (real or not) to impress upon passengers the importance of not putting EVERYTHING out the night before.

It might have been on the Inspiration out of n.o. a few years ago.
