Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Now how in the name of blazes does the temperature go from 70F at this time yesterday morning to 35F this morning? Literally half of what it was yesterday!
GGGood MMMorning. No, I’m not mocking anyone with a speech impediment, my fingers are cold and stuttering after our shorter early walk.
I can almost see a mischievous twinkle in your eye with some of your replies Mike. And that’s always good. One step, literally, at a time for Fay. Her physio will gradually increase her strength.
Oh, I hear Lu-Ann stirring. I best go see how she is doing this morning or if she needs anything as she starts to move about.
Be good today everyone. See you all later.

Kathie aur George ke liye Message

Kathie ko George ki funeral (church send-off) ke liye duaayein di ja rahi hain. Mausam kharab hone ki wajah se log fikar kar rahe hain ki sab safely church pahunch paaye ya nahi.

2. Karen ki Truck ka Issue

Karen (flgirl51) ka truck accident ya damage ke baad repair shop mein hai. Insurance company bahut der kar rahi hai aur estimate sahi nahi de rahi. Karen ka rental car renewal par hai, isliye wo kaafi pareshan hain aur Monday ko call karne ka plan bana rahi hain.

3. Lee (A’Burg Guy) ka Currency Update

Lee bata rahe hain ki Canada aur US ke beech currency exchange (1.40 ratio) ki wajah se unhe US mein rehna kaafi mehenga pad raha hai. Wo mausam ko lekar bhi alert kar rahe hain kyunki temperature mein 95 degree ka bada fark hai.

Good afternoon from sunny & cold Belleview! The wind has calmed down from this morning but it's still 45 feels like 42 degrees!

Kathie, glad you were able to get Art's Dr. appt. changed, it's crazy the wait times on phone calls lately. Another reason I'd rather text or email someone instead of calling

Mike, glad to hear Fay is improving even if it's not at the rapid pace we would like, slow & steady works too! Lee, sorry for the roller coaster weather you had to experience the last few weeks. Not exactly the warm balmy Florida weather you were hoping for. Tonight is our community potluck, with a Super Bowl theme. Not sure how many people will brave the weather & come out. I haven't gone in a few months so I decided I better go tonight before people think I've moved out. I've got bbq meatballs in the crockpot & they are smelling pretty good. Nothing new on the truck, trying to just stay calm & let the repair shop & insurance duke it out, but I have a feeling it's going to cost me more than just my deductible when all is said & done.
Stay warm & have a good day all!

Happy Good Morning GIF by Lucas and Friends by RV AppStudios
Help yourself to a hot cup of coffee.

I have nothing to post about today.
It was 4 degrees this morning and wind chill was below zero and we both decided to stay home and not go to the church service for the latest departed member. Sometimes you just have to look out for one's self.

MIKE: YIKES 14" of snow .... that's like 4x as much snow as we got here in our area. I hope your son found a snowblower in your garage to help with the driveway. Hoping each new day for FAY is a better one. And for you too.

Lee: I'm feeling bad for you & Lu-Ann having to put up with the UP and DOWN weather lately in your area. I'm sure you two will make the best of it since it's still much better than being up North! ;)

Karen: Those meatballs sound good. And if they all don't get eaten up they make great Meat ball sandwiches for you. Do you put Grape Jelly in the crock pot with all the other ingredients. The first time somebody told me about using Grape Jelly w/meatballs I just rolled my eyes. But it's the BEST thing!

Out of here for now. There is a nice freshly made Blueberry Muffin waiting for me in the kitchen.
It's a new recipe that you use fresh Ricotta Cheese. No milk or water. Can't wait to see if I like the texture or not. At least they look good. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: I'm going to freeze some of them.

Kathie, I've done the grape jelly meatballs before, but this time I just did a bag of frozen meatballs & a bottle of Walmart Honey BBQ sauce and they taste pretty yummy. I'm hoping for leftovers to make a meatball sub with melted cheese.

Sorry Paige, I’ve tried to run parts of and your entire post through “translate” and am getting everything from German to Indonesian and languages in between!
It was breezy here too Karen. Bright blue skies looked so beautiful and sunny until you stepped out in that breeze! Those meatballs sound delightful! Enjoy your party! Your community friends may well think you’ve moved if they keep seeing your rental and not your truck.
Kathie, Lu-Ann and I have had a couple of chats about the weather here. All we can do is smile about it. It’s so much better than home. I checked our doorbell camera earlier and it was snowing so hard you could hardly see the end of the snow covered driveway. I think you made a good call to stay safe at home.
Hi Mike.
Take care everyone.

Karen, I hope you had a nice turnout for your potluck, if not bring home a lot of it.
Thanks for the coffee Kathie. My son shoveled all of the snow with an old fashios snow shovel, he took his time and rested a lot. I hope you enjoyed the blue berry muffin.
Lee, I could translate it b ut when I copie/ pasted it, it wasn't in english any more. I translated Paiges's post, hope it stays translated when I hit t h e post button

Mike: Nice try buddy. It looks a lot like "AI" translated that post.
I have enough trouble reading and commenting on posts, yet alone in a foreign language! Ha Ha. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Bless your SON for using a good old fashion shovel, but 14 inches and drifts, etc is a lot of snow to shovel by hand. Then again, it would be one hard job for a snowblower too.

I must say that the Muffin was actually good. I don't praise my baking or cooking, but these were good
! :clap002::emoticon 0136 giggle:

Off to watch a basketball game now.

Tomorrow morning, we get to BOTH go and support the skin doctor. I have no idea why they want me there. It says follow up.

Good night Wrabbits. Behave.

Good morning from a balmy 34F Amherstburg. (He slaps himself) I mean a balmy 34F Kissimmee. But compared to home where it’s 9F and snowing, well, I’ll take it. Sunday is only supposed to reach a high here of 46F!
I think the answer to “why they want me there” is in the “support the skin doctor” part of the sentence Kathie. ;) Safe travels! You should treat Art and yourself, depending on what time your appointment is, to lunch out.
I know we don’t usually get a lot of snow Mike but I still prefer the shovel vs the little snow blower we have. It’s a little old, gotta be 35 years old, Toro snow thrower. I didn’t even start it this year because the rubber primer button and pull cord need replacing. Gentle hugs to Fay!
Now, with that sense of humour and a twinkle in your eye I’m not sure if you’re pulling my leg on the translation or not!
The best way to have leftovers for your meatball sub Karen is to hold a few back BEFORE you go to the potluck.
I’m going to see if I can rouse Ava. She seems to know when it’s colder than she likes and stays in bed! Then that throws her breakfast off schedule and backs up whatever plans we may have for the morning. The pool ISN’T part of those plans today.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good morning from frosty Belleview!

Lee, I think I figured out the reason for our cold Fl weather, one of our residents recently returned from Wisconsin and they forgot to close the door behind them!

Kathie, good luck to you & Art at the dermo Dr. today. Your blueberry muffin sounds pretty good!

Mike, bless your son's heart for shoveling all that snow the old fashioned way! Hope he wasn't to stiff & sore the next day. I got about the same translation from Paige's post, very confusing

There was a very good turn out for the potluck last night, 33 people! One of our newer residents was hosting for the 1st time & people really showed up to support her, it was great. Tons of good food and I even managed to bring home 4 meatballs, just enough for a sub.

"Supposed" to hear the final decision on my truck today, I messaged my contact at the repair shop last night & he said he spoke to ins. adjustor and she said the truck is repairable at this time & he is supposed to talk to the appraiser today and go over everything with him. Not exactly sure what that means but I guess I will find out.
Time for another cup of coffee and some breakfast before I head out to church, stay warm all!

Good to know (about the Wisconsin resident) Karen. Maybe now Floridians will stop blaming Canada. I bet the board was pleased with the turnout last evening. I’m glad you had enough meatballs for a sub.
We met our friends at Outback for lunch. I put on a brave face but didn’t find the lunch special that good. Eric had today off as part of Disney’s long term employee recognition party last night. 30 years with “The Mouse” and he shows no signs of wanting to leave.
Well, Ava is looking for an afternoon walk so I best get organized.
Hi to the rest of you fine folks.

Still no word on my truck, I am getting beyond aggravated & of course the repair shop blames the insurance company & the insurance company blames the repair shop:mad:

LEE / KAREN…. Those low temps just shouldn’t be happening down there. Time to find more heavy blankets for bedtime. Heck, use them during the day too. Hang in there and I hope you all have a bottle or two of wine handy to keep you warm and happy.

Hi Gang!
All went well at the Dermo Appt. They took out Art’s stitches and injected a spot he has a habit of picking at on the lower back of his head. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:
He just looked at the 2 spots on my face that he zapped last time and froze the thumb that has a small stubborn wort that likes to pop up every so often.

Funny Story about the waiting room at the
Dr’s office
:
There was a lady that was signing in as we walked in. Standing behind her she said to the receptionist she was early and her appt wasn’t until 11:00 am! It was 9:45 at that moment!
When we were leaving and checking out at the desk …..guess who was in front of us again! Yup the same lady. After the lady left the area the receptionist said “ sometime I wonder why we bother making appts! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Okay, that was ‘Story Hour’ for today.
Now try and stay warm.

HELLO TO MIKE and FAY too!

Oh Karen I can’t blame you for being more than frustrated. It never seizes to amaze me on how SLOW things are in Florida. You’ve shared so many times that workers don’t show up and don’t even call to tell you they’re not going to show up.
Not sure my BLOOD PRESSURE could handle that if I lived there. I hope they get back to you soon. Lord only know if they actually say the truck is repairable how LONG it will take to get it back to you. I can think of lot of excuses on why it would be taking so long! Let’s hope that DOES NOT HAPPEN.

Kathie, I called my dermatologist and asked for a refill, she said I havent' been there for 1 1/2 years so now I have to make an appointment and one of my kids will have to take me. I'm glad your Dermatologist visit went well. I just hit the translate to english button.
Karen, glad you had a nice turnout and everything went well. I'm sorry about your truck.
I'm not pulling your leg Lee, that is a copy and paste.
Our lows Friday is minus 3. We will have very cold temps thru middle of next week.
Have a good night

Not sure this will help the temperatures across the country, but it sure can help warm everyone up. I'll be the first to say........15 degrees here is getting old fast.

Karen, I take it NO WORD on the Truck....again today. :(

Lee: I suggest you buy some ground beef and make a pot of Chili to get you through the chilly day. You can buy those Pkgs of powder helper to save you from buying lots of expensive spices. Oh and buy a loaf of crusty bread to go with it.
Or for a simpler suggestion, just buy a can of Tomato soup, cheese slices and make a bowl of soup w/grilled cheese sandwiches on the side. It'll keep you busy until things warm up from the 50's & 60's.

Mike: How are you doing today down your way? I know your kids are taking good care of you while Fay is doing her best to get home. Just make sure to use your walker when moving around in the house. Hopefully, all the throw-rugs have been taken up for safety sake. Take care buddy.

I pass by the thermometer on the wall, and the little RED LIGHT is constantly on and saying "GASING". I feel like putting a sticky note over it, so I don't have to be reminded of how high the bill will be when it comes due! :emoticon 0104 surprised:

I'm going to get bundled up and go to the Dollar Store ($1.25 +) to buy some sympathy cards. I buy more of those lately than Birthday cards! Then pick-up a prescription for Art. And a side-trip to the bank. Always something!!

Keep busy.......it helps to stay warm!!

A funny thing happened on the way to the keyboard earlier this morning. I was just sitting down to catch up with all of you when I heard Lu-Ann cry out. I jumped up, bolted down the hall and she was just waking up. Seemed she had a nightmare that woke her up too! So, my early routine kinda went sideways.
I have a phone dr. appointment with my cardiologist at 4:45 today Kathie. It was supposed happen December 17. On December 18 I called and asked why I didn’t get the call. “Oh, you missed your appointment”. “How in the H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS do you miss a phone appointment when they call a cell that’s always in my pocket! Needless to say my phone never rang. I guess we’ll see what happens today. Why do I bother to make an appointment? We popped over to Columbia in Celebration for lunch. A nice Cuban Sandwich and salad. Don’t worry, We have Trader Joe’s Tomato Feta Soup for dinner as outdoor temps cool off. Be safe running your errands.
I can’t believe the insurance company and repair shop are still doing a dance Karen. All the while stressing out one of the nicest people they will ever deal with. It was 33F at 7:00 am here. I went from long pants, a light hoodie, sweat jacket and coat to my shorts and golf shirt to walk Ava just now. It’s 65F in the sun but feels warmer.
It’s good you have the family close enough to be able to help you with snow, appointments and the such Mike. I’m not sure what translation program I tried but I wasn’t getting as clear a response as you did. More gentle hugs to Fay.
If you’re reading along Paige, “Hi”.
Well, that’s about it from here for now.
Have a good afternoon everyone.

Lee, glad LuAnn was ok & just had a bad dream and not fallen out of bed or anything. Hope you had your phone appt. this time
Kathie, I think buying sympathy cards is a sign of our age these days, our circle of friends is getting smaller & smaller.

Repair shop messaged earlier he talked to the adjuster today and will get my truck moved into the shop for a complete disassemble "soon" and he should know something next week. So I still don't know what's going on and I'm going to be without a vehicle in another week. Jane did say I could use her car but I told her to check her insurance first, they might not cover me driving her car
