Good morning and happy Saturday!
It's crunch day around here today. Time to get the packing completed and all the medical crap I need to bring gathered. That will be one suitcase by itself at least! This trip will show us whether or not more cruises are possible or if this will be the last.
G&E are off with the boys to get their covid test right now. When they get back, they have to take their dogs to puppy prison for the week, pack all their stuff up and Elaine going for a pedicure. They'll be kept busy for sure.
Dave - We are going on Harmony of the Seas out of Port Canaveral which is less than 1 1/2 hours from us. You drop off your luggage and then go park your car in a huge parking garage. When the cruise is over, we will have to have a porter help us with our bags. We'll have him drop them at the curb and I'll wait with them while Bert gets the car. That will be the easiest way to do it this time. We will be going to St Thomas, St Maarten and Royal's private island, CocoCay. There are 3 sea days, which we both love. Time to just relax and chill.
Kathie - All 3 of Elaine's boys (14,18, & 21)are going, plus the 21 year old's girl friend. Gary is bringing Ethan also. No one has heard from Emily in months, so she's not going. We'll be a group of 9, if we eat together. We're treating them all to Chops on the second night & G&E are treating the whole gang to Wonderland, a very special restaurant, on our anniversary on the 3rd. Rest of the nights, we'll probably eat in the dining room doing My Time Dining. How many each night there, who knows?
Karen - Your sister & uncle are a lot braver than me to go in that pool at this time. I don't care how hot it is outside, no one is going to get me in water in the 70s. We've gotten too used to 90 degree pool water during the summer and nothing less will do!
Lee - That walk before the race and after it should have earned you another medal. That sure was a hike and a half! Too bad the location the race is held in has changed and really not for the better. Sounds very Disneyish by today's standards of all things Disney - You want to see it? Pay, pay, pay!!
Time now to get to work. I've been waiting for Bert to finish getting dressed and it sounds like he's just about done. The hardest part of my job today will be to tell Bert what things I want and need him to gather. Ha Ha! I would have made a good supervisor! LOL
Have a wonderful day, gang and no matter what you're doing, if you venture out into the big wide world, stay safe!
