Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Safe travels all you cruisin’ kids.
In the start area this morning at 5:00 am. We started the run a tad before 6:00.
The results are in…I could have gone another 5K! I hope the Disney photo folks got some good action shots. Which I will share if we purchase any.
In the meanwhile, Mickey and Minnie are in da house! With their finisher’s medals.

Our thoughts and prayers are going to the folks in The Ukraine and all of the brave men and women who may be drawn into this conflict.
I need to float in the pool now…

BILL & RITA..... have a safe and fun Cruise!

Lee&Lu-Ann fantastic picture of you too. So glad the 5K went so well that you could do it again. Those new PIPES are paying off! LOL I saw the other pictures on Fbook. Looking good.
Enjoy the pool now!

PAT: Hope you made it to get the tests done in time. Do you FLOAT AWAY on Sunday??

Not snowing here now. Really SUNNY. But FREEZING COLD out there.

Got our tests done this morning. Took longer to get to the place as the map Bert used gave wrong directions and took us an hour out of the way! Once I found the right way to go, we got there with no trouble. Test was easy and I already have my results. Bert's didn't come in, so I had to call the place. Seems like the gal there wasn't too bright and sent the results to the wrong email address. Gal I spoke with said she will forward the results to me, but so far they haven't arrived. As Kathie says IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING!!

BB: So glad you got to the place and got the results back too. Now just remember to bring them with you. Take a picture of them and have them on your cell phone too.

I was thinking that we should SUB-Lease all these empty hutches once the cruisers are all gone. we could make a few extra bucks! Ha ha.

I’m signing off for tonight. Good night gang.

Now that Nancy is away on her cruise.......We can talk about her.
1f601.png
Is it just me, or does she have a strong resemblance to "
Grandmom"?

Nice outfits Lu-Ann & Lee. And since you are both holding your finisher's-medal YOU MADE IT. Another good sign is that your photo didn't show you in the back of an ambulance. Congratulations to both of you.

Happy that you and Bert passed the Covid test, BB. Now all you have to do is get to the ship with your STACK of paperwork you need now. I can't remember what ship you'll be on. How's about a refresher class, Teach.

Come to think of it, I can't remember which ship you'll be on and where it's going, Bill.

We've been lucky in the last few days, K2. We've only had rain and a few snowflakes in the air, with no accumulation. I feel both sad and angry about this invasion of Ukraine. People dying just because of one dictator's ego.

So how warm does the pool have to be before you get in KC? When we had our pool it had to be at least 90.

Kathi and I watched the latest "The Amazing Race" which we had recorded, yesterday. I don't care what you people say, I'm still rooting for the old man and his daughter.

Good Saturday, I think, morning.
The 5K was good. More like a 7.6K because we walked 1.3 from the car to the start line. And back from the finish line! Usually you do a route through EPCOT and World Showcase. I guess you still do but they take you behind a lot of the buildings. My guess is the new and much hated CEO doesn’t want anybody to see the “good side” of Disney for free.
I hadn’t thought about the resemblance Dave, but now you mention it… I was itching to come up with a response for your “cooties” reference but I’m left scratching my head. We
With real estate prices the way they are Kathie, we should be able to do really well renting out those cubbies! Make it stop snowing!
Ah, the much maligned GPS Pat. We have had a couple of times that it has taken us to non existent addresses. I’d never get another one built in to a vehicle. Not unless they offer free lifetime updates like my little Garmin did. Fortunately you looked in “spam” and found Bert’s test results.
That sounds like a “road block” on The Amazing Race. I can hear Phil saying “Racers must open cans of Spam until they find their results”.
I can see an opportunity for The Master to come out if retirement for a wager with Bill and Karen on who wins TAR.
I don‘t know what we’re up to today. Or where the day may take us. Any of us. But have a good, safe one. For those water bound Bunnies, get those sea legs back ASAP!

Good Morning Wrabbits!

It's starting to get QUIET in our HUTCH. Hard to believe so many Wrabbits are actually cruising at the same time! Be safe and Cough and Sneeze in your sleeves! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Dave: It's just COLD here today. 22F at 7:30 am. Same right now at 8:11 am. The dusting of snow from yesterday blew away. I am getting tired of this LONG WINTER, but it really hasn't been horrible. Only had the snow removed by ED 4 times. He's making out like a bandit so far this year on the "Pre-pay" fee.

I smell COFFEE coming through the house and back into this computer area. Might have to make this a short and sweet post!

Ha Ha

Lee: How is Katie doing? Did the pups behave while you and Lu-Ann were at Disney? Do they hand out any kind of water or treats at the 5K? And bummer on that LONG WALK from the parking area. Would be nice if they did a shuttle ride! You should stay home and enjoy your pool today and just REST. I'm doing my best to keep the snow from falling on the other side of the Detroit River and your 'Berg! It's hard though. When do you guys start your drive back home? I didn't write down your departure date. All I know it will be a rude adjustment for all of you.

BB: I don't think you look like Nancy at all. I think the picture of her looks more like Marcia. What do you think?
Are Elaine's boys and Gary's kids going on the cruise with them? I'm thinking maybe just Elaine's boys.
WHAT DAY DO YOU LEAVE GIRL? And take half of those clothes out of the suitcase. You'll never need them and it's a pain to drag them around and then have to wash them when you come back home. Ha Ha And try not to hurt anybody with your scooter when going from your cabin to the dining area's.

:emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen: How did your little "Scooter" do on Thursday at the Vet? Did those BP number come down? Hope so. Any big plans today? Hope that eye of yours is back to normal by now.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do today. I have some BILLS to pay and some paperwork that needs my attention that I've put off just a little too long. I managed after hours of trying to get my License renewed online and the car's registration renewed too. The most confusing website ever. But at least I was able to cancel my INSIDE the BLDG appt I made for Monday! My nice Blue Corsair's LEASE is up in 6 months. Lord help me when I have to turn it in. I'm thinking there won't be ANY CARS to choose from. I think I need to start looking now. I'm afraid that the back up on cars and trucks waiting for that "Computer Chip" is going to cause me some issues. Always Something.

Okay I really need that coffee. Be safe and have a fun day everyone! Have cup on me! Ha Ha I'll leave some coffee for all of you!
Tired Good Morning GIF by MOOT
Later gang.

Good morning and happy Saturday!

It's crunch day around here today. Time to get the packing completed and all the medical crap I need to bring gathered. That will be one suitcase by itself at least! This trip will show us whether or not more cruises are possible or if this will be the last.

G&E are off with the boys to get their covid test right now. When they get back, they have to take their dogs to puppy prison for the week, pack all their stuff up and Elaine going for a pedicure. They'll be kept busy for sure.

Dave - We are going on Harmony of the Seas out of Port Canaveral which is less than 1 1/2 hours from us. You drop off your luggage and then go park your car in a huge parking garage. When the cruise is over, we will have to have a porter help us with our bags. We'll have him drop them at the curb and I'll wait with them while Bert gets the car. That will be the easiest way to do it this time. We will be going to St Thomas, St Maarten and Royal's private island, CocoCay. There are 3 sea days, which we both love. Time to just relax and chill.

Kathie - All 3 of Elaine's boys (14,18, & 21)are going, plus the 21 year old's girl friend. Gary is bringing Ethan also. No one has heard from Emily in months, so she's not going. We'll be a group of 9, if we eat together. We're treating them all to Chops on the second night & G&E are treating the whole gang to Wonderland, a very special restaurant, on our anniversary on the 3rd. Rest of the nights, we'll probably eat in the dining room doing My Time Dining. How many each night there, who knows?

Karen - Your sister & uncle are a lot braver than me to go in that pool at this time. I don't care how hot it is outside, no one is going to get me in water in the 70s. We've gotten too used to 90 degree pool water during the summer and nothing less will do!

Lee - That walk before the race and after it should have earned you another medal. That sure was a hike and a half! Too bad the location the race is held in has changed and really not for the better. Sounds very Disneyish by today's standards of all things Disney - You want to see it? Pay, pay, pay!!

Time now to get to work. I've been waiting for Bert to finish getting dressed and it sounds like he's just about done. The hardest part of my job today will be to tell Bert what things I want and need him to gather. Ha Ha! I would have made a good supervisor! LOL

Have a wonderful day, gang and no matter what you're doing, if you venture out into the big wide world, stay safe!

PAT: Thanks for the Excellent informative post. From your post it sounds like you'll have a great time for sure. I hope you get to sit with the luggage when Bert goes to park the car. And I hope HIS walk isn't too far for him. Just in case I forget HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you and your sweetheart Bert on March 3rd! I hope all the Special Dining places turn out to have excellent food and service. Be safe and enjoy the cruise. Sounds like nice ports.

I didn't know that Elaine had 3 sons. Thought all this time it was only 2. I take it the oldest is on his own or lives with his
father. Learn something every day on here. :)

Was the Covid Testing place BUSY? Seems like it would be with lots of folks cruising these days from that area. I'm just glad you found it and got that 'step' out of the way.

It's 25F here in our area and who knows what it is with the Wind Chill. Art went out earlier to put Bird Seed in the feeders and came in looking like he had gone into a deep freeze for hours! He said the wind made it feel really ugly out there. Thank goodness we are having another SUNNY DAY. That really helps when you're locked up inside the house all week. I'm ready for at least 50F temps to be able to get outside for a walk.

I managed to pay some bills on here before I posted this chat. I must say it sure saves money on STAMPS doing online banking. And I love that I get to put in the amount I want paid and when I want it paid. Auto-billing is NOT something I would ever trust. Too hard to get a correction if something went wrong.

DAVE: Any more news on your REFUND? Sure will be a HAPPY DAY once you see that money back in your hands.

Lee: You and Lu-Ann resting up today or are you out and about? A good day for being in the pool. Weather man says it's 82F in Kissimmee right now and going up to 86F. The whole coming week looks like it will be in the low to mid 80's. FINALLY! ENJOY. Hope Katie is doing well.

Later gang. I'm missing out on a MSU Basketball game. Be safe folks.

:bigwave: Bye, Bye to the cruisers.

Kathie - Elaine's oldest son is a very enterprising young man. He lives about an hour away from us. He's a college student, works at a golf course, does trips for different businesses, like recently a trip to Las Vegas. Plus he is working to obtain his pilot's license. He has already qualified for solo flying. That's a very expensive thing, so he has to have a number of jobs to support this "hobby" Like I said, he's very enterprising and has his own place. Their father lives in Kentucky.
Getting on the ship, I will go with Bert when he parks the car, but getting off the ship, I will wait for him at the curb. The parking garage is right across the street from the terminal, so it's really not that long of a walk to get to and from.

We've got everything set to go in the suitcases and it's up to Bert to make it all work. He's always been our master packer, be it for a trip or moving. He's really good at it.

G&E on the other hand, just got back and are finally bringing the dogs to "puppy prison". They are still going shopping for more things they need. Can you believe that? My poor washer & dryer are getting a workout today for sure!

Now I just got a message from M&J that they're going to be stopping over at some point. I really think it's time to start drinking!!! LOL

BB: I don't think you look like Nancy at all. I think the picture of her looks more like Marcia. What do you think?
kathie, the guys were not saying Nancy looks like Pat...they were talking about Darlene...Grandmom....and yep...she does remind me of her a bit...

It’s funny Karen. I don’t know if anyone thought of the resemblance until Dave mentioned it. We hope your fur kid is doing better and had a good report from the vet.
Thanks everyone. Katie girl is doing better each day. We would have skipped registration and the race if we had any concerns about her. We may touch base with Dr. John and get some meds in case we need them for the trip home. Which sadly begins two weeks from today, March 12.
There are NO trams at any Disney park Kathie. Another “blame it on Covid” thing that wouldn’t surprise me to remain in place. Especially if not enough people complain. Another way for the CEO to shave some value from guests tickets and pad his wallet with the savings.
We had a couple of water stations on the run. Across the finish line just past the medals there was more water, Gatorade to replace electrolytes and snack boxes with a fruit roll up, a breakfast bar, some baked tortilla’s and a dip of some sort. There was also a banana stand to get some potassium back into your system.
We hit The Springs for coffee and people watching this morning and then headed over to the Disney Run Expo for their last day. Way less vendors than other years. Then we headed back and Crazy Canuck’s that we are, spent some time in, yep IN, the pool.
Well Pat, with 9 people you’ll have a big enough group to enter the family baseball tournament. Which, as I understand the rules, ends if someone hits the only ball out of the ship.
I have a glass of wine calling my name. See you all tomorrow.

Last check in before we're out of here for a week. We're all set to go in the morning with just the last minute stuff to put in the suitcase.

Had a really nice surprise this afternoon when M&J showed up with Jimmy's cousin to deliver a belated Christmas gift for Missy from Jimmy. It was a quilt made from Justin's t-shirts. Made her cry big time and I cried seeing it too. It was worth the delay in getting ready for our trip just to see this. I think Missy posted pictures of the quilt on FB.

Time now to wrap up the last of stuff and will pack the last remaining things in the morning. Be good this coming week with so many of us gone. Be on your best behavior and if you rent out our cubbies, make sure they are cleaned before any of us get back!!:jester: Mardi Gras is Tuesday :bigwave:I'll miss you all!:emoticon 0115 inlove::emoticon 0152 heart::couple1:

:sign bye:

Pat, have a wonderful cruise! I know you have been looking forward to this for a long time!!

I thought I had posted Scooter's update but maybe I didn't...her blood pressure is still up...the Vet isn't sure the new medicine is doing as good as the pills were...she said if I wanted to switch back to the pill we could...in the end we decided to try the liquid for a couple more weeks and check again...

Lee, not such a crazy canuck when you factor in the fact your pool is heated...ours isn't...but my sister's crazy...I think she'd chip ice off the pool just to say she went in during Feb.

Kathie, glad you were able to get all the car & license business taken care of online...anytime you can avoid a crowded area is a good thing! I was in Walmart on Friday & they had some new masks out for people to take...they are the Honeywell N95...I think they are the ones you were talking about with the weird straps...

Dave, 90 is way to hot even for me....if it's a hot sunny day 78-80 degrees is a fine pool temp...anything over 86 during the summer isn't even refreshing...

Well next week starts a fun project...Barb has been wanting to get her bathroom in her mobile home remodeled...so we are going to start interviewing contractors...I see lot's of wine in my future...so far we have 4 appointments set up for Tues & Wed...anyone want to make a guess how many actually show up?
Enjoy the rest of your evening gang!

Good Sunday morning Bunnies! I will look , but I'm probably not going to see good news about those poor Ukrainians. They just want to be left alone.

It's going to be a sunny but dry day here. And only making it into the lower 40's.

Thank you KC for explaining who
Grandmom is. So no I wasn't saying that BB looked like Nancy. Grandmom was a lady that used to post on the Bunny Board. She usually posted her board name in pink because she had, and recovered from, breast cancer.

Remembering her now K2? We even had a Bunny meet-up in the western part of Ohio with her. You and Art were there. She was on her way to a hockey game, if I remember right.

Lee; Happy to hear that Katie is getting better each day. But it sucks that your Florida vacation is getting close to its' end. No trams at Disney parking lots??? That's nuts. Those places are GIGANTIC.

Time for me to get moving. I need to gas up my car this morning before the next price bump. Kathi gassed up her car yesterday for $3.31 a gallon. Then hit the treadmill. Then mill around smartly.

There ya go friends. Well, those of us who are still on dry land.
Dave, I fondly remember “The Great Bunny Gathering” in Toledo. Somewhere there’s a picture. If I’m not mistaken Kathie still has their travel mugs from the unplanned but everyone brought something gift exchange. I also remember you and the rest of the convoy, at your suggestion, following “The Canadian” to Abuelo‘s for lunch. We had Carl And Marcia with us.
Karen, I would like to place 2 M&M’s at 4 to 1 odds on one contractor showing up on schedule, one being late, one calling to say they were too busy and one complete no show. You have taught us in the past how FL contractors operate.
We heard that in Ontario the yearly license plate sticker renewal is being scrapped Kathie. That will save us $120.00. Oh, did I mention that this is an Ontario election year? We have ave been able to renew our driver’s licenses on line for a couple of years now.
I have a somewhat funny “bill paying“ story. We get and pay all of our utilities, AmEx and Master Card bills on line. I know when they come in and put them on the calendar. Our Master Card bill was a no show about 10 days ago. I asked Lu-Ann if she’d seen it. She hadn’t. I went into the online site and lo and behold we didn’t get a bill because we had nothing on the card! I guess that we really only use it for COSTCO (at home they dropped AmEx and don’t accept Visa like here in The US) and any other spot that doesn’t accept AmEx.
Should run. The pups are ready for breakfast. After Katie’s short walk and Ava‘s long walk.
we’re thinking that today we will park at The Springs and walk the mile trail to Old Key West. Maybe grab some breakfast and then take the water taxi back to The Springs and our car.
Keeping the people of The Ukraine in our thoughts and prayers. A very concerning situation for the entire world.
Safe sailing to all of the Floating Bunnies and a very good, safe day to all of you fine people.

Good morning, another beautiful day here, I have the window open in the guest room & Ginger is sitting on the ledge, tail twitching watching for birds, lizards & other assorted prey in the front yard...

Lee, the odds are now up to 5-1...we have a 2nd contractor scheduled for noon on Tues...time will tell how many if any show up....

Dave, yep Darlene was a die hard hockey fan for sure, she even got me to go to a game with her the time I visited her in Pa.

Nothing much on the agenda for me today either...tomorrow I am going over to Jane's & do a little general clean up in the yard for her, do a quick mow of the front yard...things like that.

That was me most of last night. WOW.... haven't had that happen in a while, but never fun. Going to be a LONG DAY for this Wrabbit!

So Good Afternoon all that's left us on here! Ha Ha.

Dave / Lee: I remember Darlene! It's just been so long since we have mentioned her name on here. I wonder what ever happened to her? I connected with a niece once and she told me she had moved into a different Sr housing home. Not sure where she is now. Hope she's alright.
I remember the OHIO Visit well. It was fun. I have that picture on my OLD computer. Yeah like that will ever get hooked up again. Ha Ha.

Dave you were REALLY UP EARLY. 4:30 a.m. If I knew we could have chatted since I wasn't sleeping much.

Lee: Love all the pictures of you and Lu-Ann that were posted here there and everywhere. What a fun time for you both. Congrats again on completing the 5K run. Our state of Michigan would never end License Renewal Fee's. Instead, they will most likely just HIKE the fees. SAD. It never ceases to amaze me how you find the appropriate VIDEO's to match some of the posted conversations on here. The Toledo one was spot on.
I don't think it's crazy to be going in the pool. It's heated and it's suppose to be in the 80's down there. Enjoy your time in the water floating around. You won't be doing that at home. Just don't fall asleep and fall off the floatie! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen: I'm not going to bet on the contractors showing up at Janes for quotes. I'm pretty sure how it will turn out from past experiences you gals have had. I'm just THRILLED that YOU aren't taking on that huge job. Whew!
The mention of you CUTTING GRASS in FEB is a hoot to hear up hear. Late April or May might be when our grass gets cut for the first time unless there is a major HEAT WAVE all of March!

Hope our gal PAT & Bert and the rest of the gang made it on the ship okay and are unpacking and scooting around the ship by now.

I'm out of here for now. Keep up the nice chatter folks and keep Ukraine in your thoughts and prayers. I think that's another reason I didn't sleep well last night. Watching too much news about how they are suffering. It's all so insane that this can be happening. :(

If you can do a YOU TUBE search of Sat Night Live from last night you'll see the Ukraine choir singing their National Anthem as the program opened. It was very touching. Especially since I know how hard it would be to sing in a choir during these trying times for what their homeland countrymen and women and children are going through.

Another picture perfect Florida day which is from Karen. How do I know? Because the rest of The Belles are off on cruises and don’t care about the weather here.
