I just came to see how everyone’s Sunday was going and…OOPS! I popped on as usual this morning. Typed a few lines that would solve all of the world‘s problems and, it would seem, lost everything in cyber space. DOH! Not enough coffee at that early hour.
Thanks for the good news update about Hansel Karen. We’re hoping Ava’s latest meds will do the trick for her.
The beauty of churches is found, often not in the building, but in the parishioners who care about and for their church.

Since Covid Hiram Walker no longer does their “open to the public” tasting tours Kathie.
Thanks for missing me Mike.
Funny how, decades later, paths can cross. There is a Parkinson’s event this Thursday just up the road in the town of LaSalle. As it turns out one of the speakers is a chap I went to high school with. I searched his name and sure enough it’s him. We graduated in 1972. In a strange twist, Dan’s last name is “Parkinson”.
Well, that’s about it for now. I’ll try not to be so daft tomorrow morning.

Hey LEE.... I just missed you. Crazy about your friend Dan's last name.

Mike: Hopefully all is well with our Lee and he's just taking the day off to make up
PROTEST SIGNS for the next protest in Windsor, Ontario. (right across the Detroit River).

Church was unusually well attended today. I wonder if folks thought it was Palm Sunday or even EASTER! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I'm off to Costco, yes on a Sunday, I need some flour & eggs. Wondering just how much that will cost me. Our choir's annual Palm Sunday Bake Sale is next Sunday, and I need to bake a few things. Not doing the usual Nut Rolls this year. Going to make Apricot Kifle.
Mike knows what they are! :smiley24:

Karen you could send up some of your HOT FLORIDA TEMPS please.
It's 45 degrees here now.

Later all.

Never made it to Costco. I hope they still have some coffee left on Monday when I go there. Hopefully, the hoarders haven’t bought all our favorite brand!

Good morning.
Let’s see if I can get this note written and hit the “post reply” button without getting distracted.
We’re off to Costco this morning too Kathie. There’s a couple of non perishable things we need to pick up that aren’t meant for a family of 4 or more to use in a few days before the best before date.
We’re expecting a little drizzle mid day. With the temps and wind chill we’re lucky it’s not snow flurries! April sure has been unkind so far.
So, with that I will hit the “post” button. But not before I wish you all a fantastic Monday

Good Morning All.

Lee: We got a weather alert that it might snow! Not unheard of this early in April.

Dinner with family tonight at a Mexican restaurant tonight to celebrate my brother's 80th Birthday. WOW.... how time flys!
Mike: There will be cake & ice cream & coffee after at the house. I'll think of you while eating.

Karen: Any projects on your list this week?

Out of here for now. Gotta get to Costco and post office. Later gang.

Lots of coffee at our Costco this morning Kathie. As usual we found a couple more things than we wanted / needed. The big semi trucks were blocking part of the parking lot off loading stuff for the garden centre.
Have a piece of cake for me too. And Mike. And Karen.

Good evening, finally getting a chance to check in!

Kathie, I would gladly send you some of our hot weather, 90 degrees is just way to hot for April. Luckily the mornings & evenings have been cooler, but as I sit here typing my A/C is humming along. Happy 80th Birthday to your brother!

Mike, I did sleep quite well Saturday night, I crashed about 7:30 and slept till around 6:30, would have liked to sleep a little bit longer but seems that once I'm awake for more than 10-15 mins. I'm awake for the day.

Lee, it seems to me the older I get the easier I am to get distracted. At least that's my story & I'm sticking to it! What a small world to be meeting up with an old high school buddy, hope you have a nice time catching up.

Yesterday was a busy day, picked Pat up for church at 8:45 and didn't get home until nearly 3. Pat, Pamela, Colleen & I ended up going out to lunch with Rev. Lisa, it was a fun time & Rev. Lisa even bought our lunch, which I know wasn't a small bill.

Today I worked on the back fence, replacing some of the old warped boards with some that I took from inside the fence, the back patio was double fenced so I've been using boards from inside to repair the outside. Tomorrow I will spray cleaner on it & hose it down & hopefully it will pass inspection from the compliance committee and I can put off buying a new fence for another year or 2.

We did get some sad news this afternoon, Rev. Lisa's mother in law passed away last night, she was 101. Up until a few months ago she was still going strong but over the last month or so she was becoming more confused & had been having breathing issues. She was a sweet, funny lady & will be missed.
And that's about all the news from Belleview, we had a rain shower come thru earlier I may go out on the porch & see if it cooled down any. Have a great evening all!

We had snow showers come thru here Karen! So, I’ll join Kathie in asking for a little warm air please. We see a lot more plastic or composite fences here. But I imagine they would “green up” pretty quick in the heat of FL. Condolences to Reverend Lisa. There would be a lot of memories after 101 years!
Have a good evening everyone.

To be 101 is amazing to me. May the dear lady RIP.

Karen you can always come up to PURE MICHIGAN for some cooler weather.
At 10:12 pm Monday it is 27 degrees outside and because of the high cold winds they say it feels like 7degrees. Quite a difference from 90F!

Birthday celebration for dear brother was perfect. We have now found a new Mexican place to eat at. It's been there for years, but we always go to one of it's "sister" locations closer to us and I must say this place was much better. The margarita was perfect and on special for
$4 bucks. Can't beat that.

Lee: ALL IS OKAY. Deleted on my end too. :smiley24:

I have a 10:30 A.M. FaceTime phone call with my primary doctor to see if the new dosage of a med I'm on it okay for me. YUP, gotta love not having to get in the car to drive 25 mins to say "Yes Doctor the pill is just fine! DUH! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Out of here for now. The final game of the NCAA Basketball playoffs is on and I'm missing it.

Nite all.

you are welcome Lee. Fay wants to make a trip to Cosco soon. She has Pattie take her, she doesn't care for two roundabouts in a row. We were predicted to have snow flurries but didn't get them.
Sorry about Rev. Lisa's Mother in law Karen, sounds as though she had a very good long life. While you are sending warm temps north, send some my way also. If I knew you did Fence work Karen, I could have used you on a few jobs. I never did like putting up privacey fence. glad you slept well.
I had a Dr. appt today, got home and collapsed and sat on the couch and slept for 3 hours. I feel wide awake and great now. We are still in a flood warning.

24F but feels 12F. Let me check the calendar. Hmmm, it says April but the temps say February. Those temps have sure curtailed Ava and I going on our early morning walks!
Our Costco was surprisingly quiet yesterday Mike. That suits me just fine. Well thought out roundabouts do improve traffic flow. Problem is most places don’t think them through. Plus, drivers aren’t educated on proper use of them. They were brining implemented when Lu-Ann was at The Region of Waterloo Health Unit and all regional employees were brought “up to speed“ on roundabout etiquette.
FOUR BUCKS for a margarita Kathie! I hope you got a couple “to go“ to put in your fridge for today. I’m glad you had a good time at your brother’s birthday celebration. Were you cheering for The Gators or The Cougars? Our Pat would have been thrilled with the final score.
Good luck with your fence Karen. Hopefully the cleaner will do the trick. Sometimes I think every community should have a compliance committee.
So, after realizing that I don’t quite hear some ranges of sound as well as I should I called the hearing place in town yesterday and booked a test for this Friday morning. Like most men I reckon I’d find an excuse to say “pardon me?” if I missed part of a conversation. Or I’d come back with “I heard you but I’m ignoring you” if someone asked if I’d heard them. Damn, I’m falling apart! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Lu-Ann has a hair appointment at 10:00 so I’ll drop her off and walk Ava around The Navy Yard. Betty’s salon is only a block away. When Lu-Ann is ready I’ll pick her up and, if we have time, maybe we can have lunch at Bucketlist or Caffeine & Co. I say “if we have time” because today is games day.
Well, I’ve finished my coffee so I’ll wish you all the best of days and hit “post”.

Good morning! Sorry about the snow flurries & cold temps you all are having, I'd send some warmer temps but they seem to be missing here this morning too. No fence cleaning today, it rained again during the night & the wood needs to be dry before applying the cleaner, can't say I to disappointed as all that crawling around on the grass yesterday did a number on my back & hip!

Kathie, now you've got me curious as to what you & Lee were up to with your "deleting". :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Glad you had a nice dinner last night. For Barb's birthday last week she wanted to go to our local Mexican place so we did but they just seemed "off". Food & service wasn't quite as good as it usually is, we'll give it another try before crossing it off our go to list.

Lee, hopefully you will have enough time to grab a quick lunch before Games Day. There are quite a few PVC fences here in Florida too & for private owners they seem to hold up well. We are not allowed to have them here, only wood, which is just as well because the lawn guys & their weed whackers would have them ruined in no time.

Mike, hope you were able to fall asleep last night after that 3 hour nap, I would probably be up for the rest of the night.

Since I couldn't clean the fence I worked on repotting a few plants and trying to straighten up the patio a little bit, can't do much out there till the fence is cleaned as I had to move my pots so the cleaner didn't get on the plants & kill them. Now I think I'll have that 2nd cup of coffee & chill a bit. Grey & dreary here today, would have been a perfect day to put up fence boards instead of the blazing sun

Howdy Wrabbits!
SUNNY and 37 degrees. It was only 25 degrees early this morning.

Karen we'd love to see just what this fence looks like BEFORE and then AFTER in case we have to stand up for you if the Compliance Committee doesn't approve of your hard/good work. They better approve the fence, because they don't know how tight this Hutch family is when it comes to covering for one another.

The deletion had to do with politic views, and the fact that folks coming INTO the USA might have to go through more rigorous exams with stuff on their cell phones, etc. Not sure it's totally a law yet, but one never can be too safe. It's crazy. End of story.

I'm taking a BREAK from packaging the ground meat I bought at Costco yesterday. So glad I have that FoodSaver vacuum machine that keeps the freezer frost out of the pkgs. I weigh out 1/2# amounts and mark the bags and seal them and they go into the basement freezer. I bring upstairs so many pkgs when I'm running low.
Bought a Kirkland brand Masters Ham piece yesterday for Easter dinner. I just don't want to be anywhere near Costco this coming weekend and the week of Easter. Too crowded in the parking lot, yet alone the inside of the store.

On the way home from my brother's house we saw where the construction on an Amazon or Costco Outlet is supposed to be. Not sure which business is going in there. I'll have to ask Jill. She was the one that pointed out the area a while back. Just what we DON'T need on HALL RD. (Lee...knows how crazy HALL RD is)

Lee: I was tempted to order another one of those $4.00 nice 8 oz margaritas, but I was totally full from the meal. I haven't had a GOOD margarita in a long time. I don't like the overly sweet syrup type. Fresh squeezed limes are more my favorite.

Okay, back to packaging the meat!

I need a fresh cup of Coffee ASAP.

Mike: We’ll be here!

Just popping on to let our FLORIDA GIRL that she must have sent the WARM FROM Belleview by “Pony Express”.
It’s 30 degrees here at 10:35 pm.
Saturday it’s suppose to get in the 50’s and Sunday the PONY EXPRESS will arrive with TEMPS hopefully hitting 60!

Like the old Motel 6 ad says Mike, “We’ll leave a light on for ya.”
Another start to the day feeling below 20F! I put the garbage out and we had just enough precipitation to cause all of the panels in the garage door to “pop” as the door went up.
We sure do recall Hall Road Kathie! No, not sure if a Costco or Amazon would add more unwanted traffic volume to the area. You sure get a lot of use out of your Food Saver.
Best laid plans don’t always work out Karen. When Lu-Ann got up there was a note from Betty asking if she could push her appointment to 11:00 from 10:00. That really mucked with the timing of Lu-Ann’s PD meds, my exercise plan, Ava’s walk and a light lunch before games day. As usual, we adjusted the day and everything got done. I hope your fence dried out enough for you to be able to spruce it up for committee approval.
We have folks coming over for coffee and brownies this afternoon. Michelle is one of Lu-Ann’s friends from the Parkinson‘s Community. Her husband Steve goes to dance with her so we’ve gotten to know them both a little. They’re good people.
OK, enough yammering away from me this morning.
All of you fine folks have a wonderful Wednesday!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

Lee: I hope that there are leftover brownies after your visit. Cut the pieces smaller that you put out for the guests and hide the rest of them to eat later or tomorrow! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Just trying to make sure you have some leftovers!
Taking meds on time is important, but I'm horrible at doing it. The hardest "pill" for me to take is a TINY, TINY Thyroid pill. WHY, you may ask?? Because I have to wait 1/2 hour before eating anything after I take it. I must say if I had to rely on being alive by taking this pill at the same time every day, I WOULD BE DEAD.

And yet again it's freezing outside here in PURE COLD MICHIGAN. Suppose to start to get better and by Sunday we might see 60F. (a regular Heat-Wave for us)

Just got the "REMINDER CALL" from the hair salon for my appointment tomorrow at 11:00.
Lu-Ann and I both on the same haircut schedule.
Art is going to get his "few" hairs cut today. For him it's more his mustache, wild eyebrow hairs that make it look like he got a haircut. I really think he should ask for a 1/2 price charge since he is bald on the top. :emoticon 0136 giggle:

Okay, folks I'm out of here for now.
Karen, Mike, Lee hope you all have a good day.

As we walked along The River this morning I said to Lu-Ann “it’s a tad chilly!” She replied “it needs to go up 15 degrees to even get close to chilly!” Can‘t argue with that.
Now we’re home we can start the Ghirardelli Brownies for later. We get the big box from Costco and keep them on hand. Quick, easy and who doesn’t like a fresh brownie.
I’m pretty good at remembering my 5 meds. All because of this heart thing. I take 2 before bed and three in the morning. I rarely miss them because I set them out at night and take those ones and then the morning ones are ready.
Anyone else want a quick coffee with us before we start our chores? Dang, I have to fit my exercise in there somewhere too.
To quote you Kathie, ALWAYS SOMETHING!

K2-Mich

Lee you do a good job on taking your meds on schedule. Bless you.
Let me know when those Brownies will be done. I really could drive over
and get one or two! Ha Ha.

Lord help us when the prices start going up EVEN HIGHER than they are. I hope folks realize that when prices go "UP" they very rarely go "DOWN".
Covid issues had the Dollar Store raise prices to $1.25, can you even imagine what they will be soon! And we know they won't be going down. I bought a few extra Alum Pans the other day at our Dollar Store. I know the price of Alum is out of site already and will only get worse. Oh well, I have plenty of regular METAL BAKING PANS that I can use instead of throw-aways. Time to get creative with saving money. Just glad I'm not 30 yrs old and would have to be "Creative" for decades. My time is way more limited. ;) :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: :emoticon 0136 giggle:

And with that...... my coffee is waiting for me.

K2 I have to wait 1/2 hour before and after I eat with my thyroid pills and the darn things are so small they stick to my tongue. I get a big drink of water and force them down. It is the pills that I am careful with. That warm brownie sure looked good.
Lee, I don;t know what your temps were but I believe I would agree with Lu-Ann being a tad chilly. I like it around 80 if I am just sitting. I take my meds when I get up and when I go to bed. I skip my noon pain meds, I stay in my chair so it doesn't bother me, if I had to get up and move around it would be a different story. I like Costco Chocolate chip cookies. Oh yes, thanks for leaving the light on for me.
Karen, I very seldom have trouble sleeping, staying awake is a different story. I hope the fence cleaning passes inspection. What kind of fence is it?
I'm going to have that cup of coffee now K2, join me any one.
