Patti and Ryan went into Senor Frog's, which was rapidly filling up with "thirsty" cruisers, and got a table for three. They ordered up their first round.....
Ryan is enjoying his very first "Senor Frog".....
I leave the ship to go join them.....
Now that Ryan is 18, it is legal for him to drink in the Bahamas. Patti and I looked forward to having a few drinks with him in a "controlled environment" lol. We had wanted to do the same thing with Kevin last year on the Liberty, but sadly, we never got the chance. I had a strong feeling that he was hanging out with us today. Ryan and I share our first drink together.....
The Party Master gets the crowd ready to party......
They will be competing against one of the waitresses, who will drink her beer with a straw. The Party Master says that she hardly ever loses.....
The contest begins.....
The contest is over. Her beer is gone!!!
The guys can't believe it.....
We had our "lunch", which consisted mainly of chicken tenders and nachos. Patti left us to head back to the ship. Ryan and I still had about a half hour of quality time together!!
We hung out in the cabin until it was time for the VIFP party in the Taj Mahal Show Lounge. The party was not that crowded, so there were plenty of drinks and finger foods available for those that attended. I was not surprised that it wasn't crowded as it seemed to me, that there were a lot of new cruisers, or almost new cruisers on board this week. Anytime I was at a bar, or in the casino, I saw many, many blue and red S&S cards, as opposed to gold or platinum. I know that most seasoned cruisers avoid the spring break cruises like the plague, but having a wife who is a teacher, and a son who is a student, dictates that we sail at peak times. Here are some views of the party.....
The party ran true to form. First he acknowledged the Gold and Platinum members, then came the video where everyone cheers for the ships they have been on.....
Then Jase introduced some of the Senior Staff members.....
Then all the Diamond members on board this week were called up on stage. There were only 3 of us, myself, and a couple who had just become Diamond.....
Jase interviews me.....
Then interviews the other couple while I look on.....
We posed for a couple of pictures, which were given to us for free.....
Jase invites everyone up to dance, and the party wraps up in under an hour.....
Afterwards, I went to the casino to play for a couple of hours, while Ryan put on his bathing suit to go ride the slides. Here, Ryan steps into the Green Thunder.....
Tonight, Ken Byrne wows the crowd with his rendition of "My Way"......
Ryan joins the waiters to dance "Gangham Style"......
Leaving the Dining Room, we passed the Alchemy Bar, which was pretty busy.....
I made my way to the Taj Mahal Show Lounge to see the Playlist Production of "88 Keys". Tony, the piano bar piano player, was on stage warming up the crowd.....
Here are a few shots of "88 Keys" I did enjoy the show.....
After the show, I made my way to the Butterflies Lounge to catch the late comedy show starring Diane Ford. I remember seeing her on Showtime as one of the Ladies of the Night. I enjoyed her show as well.....
Back to the cabin where Patti and Ryan had ordered some room service grilled cheese sandwiches and veggie platters. Yum!!! Here was tonight's turn down service and towel creature.....
Coming up next: Heading back to Baltimore. Our final sea day!
