It was starting to get late, and slowly but surely the beach was becoming more deserted. We noticed that the group that had rented Villa "C" had departed, so we decided to go inside, take a tour, and take some pictures.....
On the first floor there is a hot tub. The bathroom is also on the first floor.....
This is the view from the hot tub.....
These are the loungers on the first floor porch.....
On the second floor you'll find a table and chairs, along with the counter area where the snacks are kept.....
It's now 3:30pm and the last tender back to the ship is at 4, so it's time to head back. Last look at Captain Morgan's and the Villas until we're back in July.....
Looking out, we can see a very full tender heading back to the Pride.....
I'm leading the way back.....
Another view of the I Wish I Could Stay Here Forever Bar.....
The Carnival Pride is out there waiting for us.....
Our balcony is in the middle of this picture on Deck 6.....
Looking up at the whale tail.....
Once back on board, I went up to Guy's Burger and got myself a "Ringer". Patti and Ryan went back to the cabin and ordered a room service snack of veggie platters, Caesar salad, and grilled cheese sandwiches.....
I started off with two shrimp cocktails, and an order of tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.....
Patti started with the tomatoes and mozzarella, and we both had the lasagna.....
Ryan had the chicken noodle soup, and an order of the jumbo fried shrimp.....
For dessert, Patti had the apple pie, I had chocolate ice cream, and Ryan had orange and lime sherbert. Ken Byrne wowed the crowd with his rendition of "New York, New York".....
Afterwards, we all decided to head to the casino and gamble for a few hours. When all was said and done, I had lost $200, and Ryan had broken even playing blackjack. Patti was tonight's winner, winning $100, playing the slots. Way to go Patti!! We were exhausted from the day, so back to the cabin we all went. Tonight's towel creature was waiting for us.....
Also waiting for us was our Diamond invitation from the Captain, Francesco Borgogna.....
Coming up next: Our short, but very enjoyable stay in Freeport, or how to have a blast without leaving the pier area!!
Thanks for taking me on another tour of your cruise. You do such a fantastic job narrating, along with the amazing photos. I love all the pictures, especially the sunset photos.
Our final port of call on this cruise is Freeport.....
We awoke at 6:30am and we were already alongside the pier in Freeport. The port area is very heavily industrialized, and is just not pretty at all. The sun is rising over the cargo containers.....
Looking forward from our balcony I can see an ambulance, and realized that it probably was the reason we had docked so early. I later found out that a crewmember had appendicitis, and had to be transported to the hospital.....
Here are a few shots of the port area taken from our balcony. Here is Senor Frog's.....
Here are some more port views. The Freeport sign.....
I guess we are docked in the right place.....
We won't be leaving the port area today. Patti and Ryan will be getting off around 9:30 to do some shopping. I will be getting off around 11 to meet them at Senor Frog's for drinks and lunch. Here are Patti and I at breakfast.....
As I mentioned earlier, Freeport is an industrial port.....
This is the Grand Bahama Shipyard. This is where many of the Carnival ships go into dry dock.....
I made my way to Serenity, where I would hang out for a few hours, until I made my way ashore. Patti met me there to get the camera, and then she and Ryan debarked. Here is Ryan checking out the retail map.....
