Let's Play BALDERDASH!!! (copyrighted game name)

I would have gone with #4 until I see the others and their answers . . . . So I will be forced to go with #2 like Funnel said . . . . .

Your actually willing to trust funnel with his record....................

Ohoh...is there no fooling you guys any more? Yup..ALL of you are correct

Pleonast

2. A person who uses more words than necessary (and REd...what do you think I was thinking when you submitted TWO fake answers!!.........Red the pleonast !!!).

Okay...here is the selection for carriwitchet:

1. A broom stick for a wee witch

2. A small axe-like tool

3. A bag for carrying witches in

4. a puzzling question

Cast your spell!

it could be that Dot.. as every time I see that Seamom has posted.. I worry that she has cut me off at the knees for my antics:hammer:

4. a puzzling question

I haven't got a clue but my instinct says #2...a small axe-like tool....so I'm going with that!

4. a puzzling question

1 and 3 sound just plain silly, so now have to decide between 2 and 4 . . . . . Think I'll go with #4.

Yes! We all got a point each for Pleonast!

Carriwitchet just has to be no 3!
Turst me (not?)...

Wonder if Red got another extra point now...?

/Erik

Oh dear, Funnel...I'm afraid you have given Red a point in this one. And my mother and Beryl have given points to Tobyn for the axe! You must watch out for Tobyn, saying the two witch definitions were silly and his own was not! He's becoming wicked, which makes the game more fun!

carriwitchet

4. a puzzling question

Red 2, Tobyn 3

As for groaking, is it:

1. feeling growing pains

2. the sound frogs make

3. To stare at someone dining with anticipation of something to eat

4. Scratching private places in public.

I think it is the one that is a common dog trick.. and a pet (pun) peeve of mine.

I think I'll go with Seagrandma on this one and say #1

although I was swayed by the seagrandpeoples choice.... I still stick with my first choice.. although I see I did not give the number AGAIN:hammer:
scrolling down......

#3... Einstein was always doing this until I retrained him

I don't think it's 2 or 4 (is there really a specific word for that...???) so 1 or 3. Hmmmm... the word almost "sounds" like something is groving and cracking at the same time so maybe no 1 is the correct word.

It may make or break, I'll go for no 1!

YIKES...I failed to send in a definition so I am behind the power curve here.

Hmmmm ... choices...

1. feeling growing pains

2. the sound frogs make

3. To stare at someone dining with anticipation of something to eat

4. Scratching private places in public.

Let's see....

1. Feeling growing pains...I don't think it has anything to do with growing... that is a sneaky ruse!
2. Sounds frogs make...that is croak.. another try to fool us!
4. Scratching in private places publicly....I thought that was crotchety.. so by the process of elimination it's....TA DA

#3.....To stare at someone dining with anticipation of something to eat!
