Let's Play BALDERDASH!!! (copyrighted game name)

I'm thinking gurgle and jigger...so, though I'm probably totally off base and against my better judgement I'm going with #4. To empty any small quantity of liquor from one bottle to another

Yippee!! 3 points at one time?? :thankyou: Man, that is great!!
Okay, for jirgle:

1. The fringe on the edge of a Norwegian vest worn in the 1800s

2. To move hither and thither

3. From the old English, a dance move

4. To empty any small quantity of liquor from one bottle to another

5. Toilet flushing mechanism

# 2. To move hither and thither

Yippee!! 3 points at one time?? :thankyou: Man, that is great!!

You're welcome, Corky!

OK, for jirgle I have to say #4 as it has to do with liquor (that can never be wrong... :boogie:).
Only thing is that I don't really understand the explanation; "To empty a small quantity of liquor from one bottle to another"??? Liquor is for drinking...

I am so lost......

And that is... #6... ???

/Erik

I am in total agreement with Funnel...if I were to jirgle, it would go into my mouth, not another bottle, but alas, I only write what's on the card...so those of you picking # 4 get a point and Beryl gets an extra one courtesy of Corky, though, that liquor is sorta going hither and tither!

For aleuromancy:

1. Performing one of the arts of magic

2. Emergency removal of toxic material

3. Leading the nomadic lifestyle of a gypsy

4. The practice of sending messages hidden in pastry dough

I'm going to have to get tougher on you, all!

my nan used to do this.. read the patterns left in the flour bowl after making dough.. she was also a dab hand at the tealeaves....:cheer:

Wow red stripe! You have a well rounded family. Because I have absolutely no clue what so ever about this one, I'll TRUST you and pick #4 . . .

I haven't a clue

For aleuromancy:

1. Performing one of the arts of magic

2. Emergency removal of toxic material

3. Leading the nomadic lifestyle of a gypsy

4. The practice of sending messages hidden in pastry dough

And since I would love to do this, I'll pick: # 3. Leading the nomadic lifestyle of a gypsy

Okay...my grandma used to read tea leaves too....though not messages in a pastry bowl! She used to be able to charm warts off of people as well...but it had to be a full moon! Still, I'm going with the magic of it all and choosing

#4. The practice of sending messages hidden in pastry dough

Yea! Another point! I knew the liquor couldn't be wrong.

Over to aleuromancy. I'm totally lost here.
Red seems to be very sure about #4. Beryl too. Hmmm... the only thing I thought sounded totally wrong was #4!

Make or break, I'll go for #4.

/Erik

ohoh...glo-ree-bee and corky....gave Beryl two points on top of the one she got along with Red, Funnel and Tobyn when they picked the pastry dough which is correct! That was almost too easy.

Now for wanwierd:

1. Usual, normal

2. Unknown loss of energy

3. Bad luck, ill fate

4. Someone with a strange or an unhealthy pallor

This may be trickier...all believable

wanwierd:

1. Usual, normal

2. Unknown loss of energy

3. Bad luck, ill fate

4. Someone with a strange or an unhealthy pallor

I'll be the first to jump in and #2 unknown loss of energy.
Okay, who am I giving the point to?

Darn.. I was waiting for someone to make up my mind.. just my bad luck that you and I are the only ones playing.

I can see that waiting for inspiration from the rest of you is not going to happen..

so taking my wording in the last post as an omen.. and after having to have the bad luck to live next door to the (evidently) deaf dog owners.. I will chose "Bad luck"

I think that was #3

scrolling.......
yep.. #3

Darn.. I was waiting for someone to make up my mind.. just my bad luck that you and I are the only ones playing.

Sorry Red, no help from me... but thank you for helping me with one point for the word yesterday!

#1 seems to be most unlikely for wanwierd so therefore I choose that.
