Let's Play BALDERDASH!!! (copyrighted game name)

I'm betting that the pronunciation is a trap...this has nothing to do with animals or their feeding troughs or gymnasiums and contortionists. That leaves embarassing noises and food preservatives....hmmm...often humorous and unusual words about things we would rather not think about is the name of the game here...sooooooo

I think you hit the nail on the head Beryl . . . . But I'll go with the other one and choose #3 . . . .SOMEONE is going to get a point here! ! !

I can just hear a new song coming on ---- The winds in my bowels are making music for all to hear. Could it have started from the frijoles or the Caribbean beer? What ever the cause I give warning today. Stand back from the rear so the rush from the gusts won't blow you away!!!

Oh no, not again! :duh:
I'm almost feeding you with points, Tobyn!

For borborygm I would guess #1. This one I am pretty sure about (What...? Have I said that before...?).

/Erik

LOL....all the regulars have been accounted for ...and how could I have resisted giving you a word for polite company..."Pardon me, but those beans caused me to have a borborygm!

...and Seagrandma, you liked Glo-ree-bees's def again plus I think Glo-ree-bee should get a bonus half point for creating the winners a song about borborygm!....and that cheeky Tobyn...getting a point for choosing his own? That works earlier in the game to sway but you came in late for that one to confuse others.. I'm keeping an eye on you!

I'll get glozing started to give an extra game in for Saturday:
glozing (GLOW-zing)

1. .............wait a minute............not one person has sent in a definition yet....guess I'll get back to that later............

Glozing (GLOW-sing)

1. Overly senstive to taste

2. A short intermittent sleep in front of the fire's embers

3. Putting putty in-between a piece of glass/window and frame

4. An automobile window mechanism

What's it going to be?

Seamom, I am going to have to take #1. Overly senstive to taste
I think you will understand why . . . . . .

Yes! I knew I was correct about borborygm!

Glozing...
I was almost going to guess #3 but I think it's to close to Glazing. Hmmm... let's go for #1 instead.
Sorry, I would have liked to choose one that is not taken, but #2 and #4 does not "feel" correct to me (I bet one of them is ).

We who have played are anxiously awaiting the big news of the correct definition. Do I hear a drumroll as the curtain arises and the answer is -----

this one is interesting.. perhaps it is a language thing? but I do not see the definition that I would have picked..

To smooth over.. gloss over a situation? so i am lost and must cry
"uncle"

I'm just getting over a lousy migraine today...new weather system coming through. Guess I should have checked the weather report before I had a glass of red wine! So today I'm OVERLY SENSITIVE TO TASTE....so I'm glozing. A point to all the wise ones........ Corky! cheeky point to yourself and leading Beryl astray with the puttying which I believe is called GLAZING. Seagrandma gives Beryl a point for the cozy embers definition.

Now...for dronkship :) :

1. A ship that is listing

2. A handmade vessel used for floating cargo down the river.

3. Collective term for professional shoe repairers

4. The flat bottomed boat that skims shells off of shallow water when tide is low

5. A ship designed to transport fruit

Okay you busy beavers! Pick one!

Since all but one has something to do with a vessel . . . .I am forced to choose 3. Collective term for professional shoe repairers. If I lose a point on this, I am going to feel real stupid. :)

Yes! Another point!

Dronkship?! Have no clue...
I am sure it is #3 but I'll go for #2. Why? Don't know!

Hope you are feeling better Seamom. Red wine is dangerous, you should try pure Absolut Vodka instead...
