Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

I was trying to use my laptop to write to the hutch. I finally gave up and am now using the desktop. I have notice Michael and Pattie not having a bit of trouble using t he laptop.
We had about 1/2 inch of much needed rain yesterday with a lot of wind. Some areas around here got a lot of wind damage. I guess we were pretty lucky.
Karen, my parents picked dandelioin greens when I was much younger. I remember going into a large yard and picking them in early spring. I would never eat them. My Mother (Czheck) told my Father (Greek) they fed the pigs the dandelions and my Father replied tonight you are going to be the pigs. My sonDinner is gave his battery operated mower to his sister, he bought a riding mower. She will use if for the tight places.
Good news on your back K2. One less thing to worry about. Your coffee will never taste t he same.
I think 60 is a mite chilly Lee although Fay thinks it is fine. Pattie's dog isn't as large as a coonhound but he looks like one. He is also very friendly and Pattie is trying to train him not to jump on people. It's a good thing she is patient???? with him. She finally got him to walk with a leash, she said he would almost pull her off her feet and once he started to smell something he was hard to handle. She is a little by little training him

Karen your Dinner sounds yummy. How nice that Barb bought the battery mower. Hope it does the trick for you girls. And hope it's easier to run for you.

Got all my errands done and delivered.
Best part was I got to see Mr Manny! Ha Ha.
I texted Jill that I was going to drop by and she sent me a message back to be REALLY QUICK going into the house because Mark was on a business phone call and she didn't want Manny barking if I took too long to get from the car into the house. I got inside and the he wasn't barking at all. But he sure wanted to let me know he was SO HAPPY TO SEE ME! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: After he calmed down we went for a walk and he MARKED EVERY TREE on the way. His pee pee tank was empty, and he was still trying to mark trees. Too funny.

I stayed long enough that Ash and Jill got home from work and Mark came out too. Temps were just perfect to sit out on the deck.

Lawn man (Ed) just came and did the 1st cut of the season. Joy, Joy!

Mike and you other Dandelion people..... I had a Italian girlfriend back in our 1st neighborhood and she took me Dandelion Greens picking. We went to a Divided highway with 3 lanes on each side and a huge center green space. I asked why we are here with traffic on each side of us? She said: "Because NO DOGS come to do their "Business" out in this area. Makes sense. We picked bags of the nice FRESH GREENS and she showed me how to Sauté them in olive oil and garlic and lemon juice on top. I must say they were tender and yummy. We didn't pick the yellow part.

Lee: I'd buy at least a year's supply of the bags for Ava while they're still $1.25! We all know the prices are either going to up or the Dollar Stores are going to go out of business. Not sure if Canada gets direct shipments for China or if they use to come through customs at the USA borders.
My blood pressure goes up just thinking about how the "MORON" has put a halt to the FAIR TRADE we have had with CANADA for decades. He's such a piece of SH*T. Yup that's what he is. Now watch me get deported.

Out of here for now. Be good little Wrabbits. Hugs to all.

I could really go for one of these right now! Only thing is that it's 8:30 pm and I'd fall asleep on the couch and be up at Midnight! Ha Ha.

Just passing through.
It’s raining here right now and it woke me up! More water in the creek! o_O The ducks will love it.day
The lawn just got fertilized on Monday and got cut yesterday, so it should look nice after this soaking for a few days. Then it will be out of control until that fertilizer wears off.
You all have a good day. I’ll be back later. Enjoy a cup of fresh brewed coffee!

That coffee sure smelled good this morning Kathie! Thanks for getting it ready while I was out - between the rain storms - with Ava.
Some days Ava is the same on her walks as Manny. She stops and sniffs every other dogs “pee mail” along the route and leaves a reply. Even if it’s only a drop. If you need it, we have a spare room…
I mostly use my iPad these days Mike. I like my Mac but it’s older and slower. Hmmm. Sounds like me! It takes patience to train any pet. I’m sure Pattie will have the pup walking nicely beside her in no time. The storm the other day brought down lots of trees not too far from here as well.

Lu-Ann’s cold is on its way out Karen. It seems to be following a similar pattern to the other folks we know who have had something similar. That’s a good deal on a battery mower! We got one after my heart thing so I didn’t have to try to pull start the gas mower. That taco bake sounds darned fine to me.
We’re hoping the weather doesn’t get too nasty today. We’re supposed to be meeting a fellow I went to school with and his wife at a quaint little coffee shop about 35 minutes from here. I may have mentioned seeing Dan at a Parkinson’s event last month. Lu-Ann and Dan’s wife Leslie got chatting and set up a coffee date.
So, I best feed the beast and get my sweetie’s coffee cup ready. A clean one from the shelf. ;)
Have a great day everyone.

Been busy "ON HOLD" making a few appointments.
Managed to 'snag' a 10:30 P.M. MRI appointment at our local BIG Hospital.
YUP..... I said 10:30 P.M. at night. I've done that before and it's nice and quiet
at the hospital and since it's about 15 mins away I really don't mind staying up and
going at that absurd hour! No traffic for sure.

I went to the larger Dollar Store in our area and was able to pick-up a few more of the
folders I use for each and every doctor I go to see. Needed a few more and bought EXTRA since who knows if they'll have them in a few more months! I love keeping notes, copies of test orders (x-ray, MRI, etc) paid receipts, etc inside the plastic folders. Some folders have a nice zipper area too.
Works for me. I tape the doctors Business card on the front of the folder to make sure I have the phone numbers, address, etc. I take the folder with me for each appt. I think it also shows I mean business when the doctor walks in and see's it on my lap! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:;)

Lee: Thanks for the spare room offer. You never know when we might need it!
Have fun with your luncheon get together.

Rain has stopped for now, but not for long. We even had some good thunder rumbles earlier.

You all have a good day!

Good Afternoon, kind of bummed my eye Dr. visit did not go as well as I'd hoped. Pressure only dropped a very little in my left eye but went up in my right eye. He is changing me to a different drop and will recheck pressure in a month. If it hasn't dropped by then he said the next step is to refer me to a glaucoma specialist. Hoping & praying the new drops do the trick. Had my sister drive me this morning because I thought they would be dilating my eyes and turns out it was only a pressure check. Same thing next month so I won't have to bother her to drive me.

That is a bummer Karen about your eyes, hope the new drops do the job.
K2, Fay keeps track of everything. I think she could tell you what we had for dinner last month and about anything else that happened.
I still like my desktop Lee, it is more thas fast enough for me. Michael liked th battery operated lawn mower because it was so light and smaller and he could get in the tight spots and maybe he liked it because it was another tool.
Any coffee left K2?
Only 31 days til June.

Always have a few cups left of fresh coffee Mike!

I made a pkg of Banana Muffins from one of those Martha White pkgs I got at the Dollar Store. No eggs needed. Just 1/2 cup of milk. I smashed a rather RIPE banana we had into the mix. They turned out great, except the SUGAR content is crazy sweet. Art of course LOVE THAT!

Karen sure hope the new drops work for you.
Do you wear SUNGLASSES while working outside at home & the church? Just wondering if that could cause any of the issues with the pressure.

Rain continues ON and OFF..... just like the SUNSHINE. DUH.

Robin is still sitting on the nest in the corner of the hangover. Hope she has eggs that hatch and they'll be okay.

Good morning.
I forgot to hit post earlier - again. They say the mind is the second thing to go. I can't remember the first.
I suspect that you're the talk of the medical community for being so organized when you go in for an appointment Kathie! Now, add a few chocolate chips to those banana muffins and I bet both Art and I would sit down and enjoy a few with a cup of your coffee.
I sure hope that your new drops help with your eyes Karen. I'm on drops every night as well. The eye doc is hoping that they will continue to control the pressure. I hope you do wear sun glasses when you're outside!
Our battery mower forces me to cut either the front or the back on different days while the batteries recharge. I can do both on one charge if it's just a trim. Lu-Ann likes that because she worries about me over doing it.
I was reading that Royal Caribbean is taking the libraries out of their ships. That got me to thinking about Dave and Eddie leaving a couple of bucks in an envelope in a book with each other's name on it. They did that, as I recall, if their sailings were fairly close to each other.
Coffee with Dan and his wife Leslie was nice. Dan brought a high school yearbook and we looked back 24 years and remembered some of the "cast of character" we went to school with.
That's about it from here this morning. It looks like a beautiful morning for a walk at The Navy Yard.

Good morning, another bright sunny day here in Belleview as well. The morning started off cool but temps are expected to reach near 90 before the end of the day.
Lee, sounds like a nice visit with your friend Dan, I'm not sure I could recognize more than a handful of old classmates from a year book. That's pretty much my plan for Jane's yard with the battery mower as well. Her front yard isn't as big as the back but together it's to much physically for me to do in the same day. Did once & quickly learned my lesson!
Kathie, those Martha White muffins are really tasty and the fact you don't need eggs or oil is a major plus! I don't generally wear sunglasses while working outside but I think a trip to Walmart to get a decent pair of polarized ones will be on the agenda for this weekend.
Mike, some people like Fay & Kathie really have a knack, I try but I just never quite seem to get and STAY organized for very long.

Hoping the drops do the trick, I'm also cutting back on coffee & wine AND I was reading the back of the bottle of nighttime cough medicine I take occasionally when I can't sleep and it said to consult a Dr. before using if you have Glaucoma, so that may have been causing problems as well. I didn't take a full dose, but I would take a "nip" maybe 4-5 times a month. Also going to be limiting my computer/phone screen time as I know that isn't good for your eyes either.
Jane is coming over this afternoon to spend the night, I finally am getting her to go to the ladies crochet/knitting group at church tomorrow. I think she will enjoy it.
My 15 mins. of computer time is up, so checking out for now, have a good one!

Sunny here in Pure Michigan for the most part right now around noon time. Might get a few very scattered showers.
The GRASS loved the rain and it's nice to look out the backyard and see it all GREEN. I checked on the Robin and Papa was standing on the rim of the nest and later Mama was sitting deep into the nest. They must have EGGS! :clap002:

Karen: YUP.... good move going and getting a good pair of sunglasses. Especially living in Florida! You might want to try MELATONIN, of course I'd call and ask the Dr if it would be okay first. Here's a Google site I saw and am passing on for reference only. I'm only a Wrabbit Hutch Doctor! Ha Ha.

Well, I guess I took longer than 10 mins to finish my post after getting that Melatonin site for Karen. So, here's the rest of my post. DUH!!

Karen: Trust me, I'm not ALL THAT ORGANIZED. I still have a stack of papers to go through sitting on the big dining room table. I need to do that job and just get it over with. I'll wait for the next BIG UGLY RAIN DAY! (always an excuse) :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Lee: Excellent day for a walk at Navy Park. And good move only cutting one area of the lawn. No use over doing it, since the grass will be there forever! Hope you two are feeling better these days.
Glad your meeting with your old schoolmate went well. I actually found my yearbook from Junior High School and added that to the pile of things to look over on the dining room table! I wish I could find my HIGH SCHOOL yearbook.

Wow.... I remember Dave and Eddie putting the dollar in the books when they took were using the same cruise ship. You have an excellent memory buddy!
Do you remember us all talking about "Tours by Eddie". Wonder how he's doing these days and just where they are living. I know they were thinking of selling the house years ago. I know he was having computer troubles the last time I called to chat. I'll have to see if that phone number still works.
He gave Art and myself the BEST EVER TOUR of NYC. So glad we made that trip and the trip to Seattle to see the West Coast Bunnies that one year. Thos were the days!

Mike: What's going on in your neck of the woods? Hope you can get to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee these days before it gets TOO HOT. You need one of those coffee containers with a lid on top so you can take it with you. Not sure if you use a walker, but they must make HOLDERS for those that could help you out.

Our Fr DAVE was on my mind a lot last night. Had a few things I would have loved to rattle his mind about and he's just not around to ask. Bummer. I sure do miss his posts and hearing about the Pups and Kathi and those wild and crazy Grandkids. Hope they're all doing good.

You all behave yourselves and enjoy the day! Later gang. ;)

K2, it very seldom gets too hot for me to sit out side or drink coffee. I do use a walker but even with a walker sometimes it is difficult to get out and I just as soon stay home. I do miss going to Texas Roadhouse.
I though I heard thunder, looked outside and yep, it is raining.
Karen, you might like to use a wide brimmed hat. I have one and like it b ut very seldom use it. I got it when we were going to Fl. Enjoy your evening with Jane.
Nice that you got to enjoy ;your visit and coffee with Dan and his wife. Sometimes old memories are the sweetest.

Good morning everyone.
Seems the day and indeed the weekend is going to be wet off and on. I feel so bad for workin’ folks that wait for the weekends to get things done.
It’s always nice to pop on and see the chat.
Oh, I hear Lu-Ann stirring so I’ll sign off for now. See you all later on.
Have a fantastic day friends.

Partly sunny and cloudy so far. 51F brrr cold degrees. Mother Nature is toying with us lately up here! We get 85F and then we get WIND and RAIN and now 51F at noon-time. A nice 75F would be my preference. :sunflower:

My back is still giving me issues in the mornings and later in the evenings. Can't wait to go and get that MRI and have the doctor tell me straight out what's going on. I was able to go back on "My Chart" medical system and see x-rays from 2022 and 2023. But they mean nothing to me. The written results mean even less. So I'll just wait it out.
Good thing I bought another bottle of Aleve when I was at Costco the other day. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: It helps.

Art's out biking and I'm going to make Stuffed mini green squash w/ a tomato sauce. My grandmother used to make these and when I saw some nice fresh looking squash at the store I bought them. The house is soon going to smell of garlic, onions and spices! :emoticon 0136 giggle:

You all be good little Wrabbits and stay safe. Hugs to all.

So THAT is what smelled so nice when I was out cutting the grass Kathie! I had to get the back done this afternoon because the weather looks pretty damp for a few days. It was already a tad long and, like the front, needed bagging.
I do hope you have enough Aleve to get you through this back problem. I’m guessing that even with a good cushioned mat in your kitchen standing cooking is not the best for you. TBE’s. I often think of how we kidded Eddie about those. And TBT’s on the west coast with Tony.
More power to you Mike for enjoying real heat. I‘m OK with hot but throw in humid and it just drains me. They do say a hot drink like coffee will cool you down better on a hot day than a cold drink will.
Cutting back on coffee AND wine Karen? I guess I should have you define “cutting back”. A smaller glass and mug perhaps? I like Mike’s suggestion for you. A nice wide brimmed hat or cap when working out in the sun! A good tip for all of us actually.
We went to the smaller grocery store this morning. Holy sticker shock! We got a few things but likely won’t be in a hurry to go back. Too bad. They always had nice produce.
I think on this cool, damp day a nice afternoon coffee may be in order.
Be good. Good and safe everyone.

It is cool and wet here today and will be the same for a week or so.
Can your electric mower cut high grass Lee? I was going to ask my son that question but forgot. He liked it but prefers the riding mower. I'm afraid no matter where you go prices in grocery stores are going to be higher. I took your suggestion and had a cup of coffee.
K2, I think I may have the same back problems that you have, I hope not. I don't know what half the stuff if not moere that is on my chart. All of my reading state that most things are okay, my doctor doesn't seem to concerened about the ones that are barely out of the suggested areas.

I guess that depends on what you’re thinking when you say high grass Mike. I don’t know think it would fare very well in taller “wild grass”. It did pretty well today with the thick, damp stuff this afternoon. But I don’t think it was longer than around 6” in any given spot.

Dinner was…if I must say…delicious. :clap002: I told Art it would probably cost
$19.00 at one of the local restaurants we go to! (If not more these days!)
We had Sour Dough Buns that Jill had made for us. :chef:
Karen if you go to church sing nice. WAIT…..what will happen now that the choir director/organ player has retired? :crying: Inquiring minds are wondering.

Nothing on TV tonight. Bummer.
