What's Your Favorite Christmas Movie?

The holiday season is a great subject for movies, which range from heartwarming stories of love and redemption to slightly more hilarious tales of mischief .
Mine is the classic from the black-and-white era, "Miracle on 34th Street... this Christmas movie makes you feel all warm inside.
Another movie is Walt Disney "One Magic Christmas" This is a real tear jerker. It’s about an angel who must show a mother the true meaning of Christmas with an overall uplifting message.
What is yours?

I LOVE three but I think I'd place "Miracle on 34th Street" in the #1 spot followed closely by "It's A Wonderful Life" and "White Christmas".

My all time favorite is "A Christmas Carol" with Alastair Sim.

My favorite is Miricle of 34tj Street , the old black and white one and White Christmas which I w2atched last night. Such costumes and the dancing. and of course the music.

A Christmas Story, and, Ollie Hopnoodles Haven of Bliss

I know, I know...Ollie Hopnoodles Haven of Bliss isn't a Christmas movie, but, it is one of my all time favorite movies.

My all time favorite was a 78 record with the Christmas Carol on it. Long lost now unfortunately

The Christmas story with Ralphie is now my #1.. "You'll shoot your eye out,

It's really hard for me to pick just 1 favorite but I really like "It's A Wonderful Life" and a "Christmas Carol"; these 2 are just a notch above "Miracle On 34th Street."

This is a toss up for me as love the "Miracle on 34th Street", "White Christmas" and "It's A Wonderful Life".

My DH loves "Scrooge".

My number one favorite is A Christmas Carol with George C Scott....Mark bought me the copy..and I adore it....DS Stephen bought me The Grinch Movie..I love it *BECAUSE* he bought it for me... the Jim Carey film...:) lovely question.....:)..Joanne

A Christmas Story ..."You'll shoot your eye out"..... with the original Miracle on 34th Street a close second....(I've been watching that one since I was knee high to a grasshopper!)

national lampoon's christmas vacation, is a very very funny movie.

I agree! When my sisters children were small we saw that movie every Christmas, it was kind of a tradition.
Another funny Christmas movie is "Santa who?" with Leslie Nielsen.

Scrooged with Bill Murray then A Christmas Story (the one with Ralphie and his BB gun) and the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas ( I know its technically not a movie, but its still great to watch even if you are not playing Drink Who).

National Lampoon Christmas Vacation
One Magic Christmas
Santa Clause
White Christmas
Holiday Inn,could go on but these are most favorite.

Love A Christmas Story with Ralphie.

Hands down - "Mixed Nuts" with Steve Martin, Madeline Kahn, Juliette Lewis, Adam Sandler, Rita Wilson, Anthony LaPaglia, Rob Reiner. It's a corny movie but very funny.

Years and years ago on TV, there used to be a movie called The Story of Silent Night. I believe it was 30 minutes long - perhaps 60 minutes - in Black & White, and gave the story of how that poignant Christmas song came to be written.

I've googled and googled, but have no longer been able to find that version. It was beautiful. It probably dates back to the late 1950's or the early 1960's.
