We were notified the night of March 29th, but I've been having issues with my C*$% nose again and have been on the Board very little except to post the weather.

Personally, this is non-issue for me...and, hopefully, the same is true for you?

It looks as though sunset will be 8:20pm on May 31st in Hamilton. It might just be worth going to the Lido that night! :boogie:

I need some advice. I love forts. And this trip I was planning on visiting Fort St. Catherine and Fort Hamilton.

How navigable are those forts for us folks that are mobility challenged? (Right now I'm using a cane. I can do stairs if there is a railing. I don't do well without a railing.)

Thanks

c

Charles, I seem to remember steps at both forts, but I could be wrong. I visited them 25 or 30 years ago, so I'm not totally sure.

I found a couple sites that may help you and anyone else on the cruise. They are:

Bermuda's disabled and handicapped

Access Bermuda - We're Getting There!

While the sites are geared more toward wheelchair tourists, there is some other information there that you might find helpful.

Here's a link to information on Fort Hamilton:

And here's one for Fort St. Catherine:

Hope these help!

Quack - Quack !!

Ahoy there from Locust Grove, VA! Having a C@s Mini-Meet with Nieciez & LeatherNeck! Having a gr8 time. Wonderful food and even better friends! Have to head back to the Wolverine tomorrow to pack up for my relocation to VA. Have been doing a bit of sightseeing in DC the last couple days. That was the good side. On the other hand ... the traffic is horrendus (sp?)!!! Yesterday it only took 3 hours to go 42 minles from Arlington to Locust Grove ... OMG. Thankfully, my drive to/from wurk is against the ruish hour (i.e. - Rush hour going in - I'm going out / Rush hour going out - I'm going in. My drive is only about 7 miles. Start wurk on the 11th!

More later ...

Quack - Quack !!

Hi everyone - haven't been here in awhile so thought I had better catch up on the goings on!

Calgon - Congrats on the new position and also on finding a short term rental. Good that you have a reverse commute so you won't get stuck in that horrendous traffic! The Northeast has some bad traffic in and around the metro areas but nothing in my book will ever top L.A. - ugh. I hope you get settled and enjoy your new position!

As for the port change we don't care at all! If we are cruising then we are all set - it's about the ship and the company for us!

I got us a great airfare from Boston to JFK so we will be flying both ways - a real treat for us as we will be home in just over an hour (I think it's about 40 minutes in the air) and since we live about 10 minutes from Logan it will be great after the cruise. We are flying into NYC on Thursday pre-cruise and I need to find a place to stay!

We are looking forward to this cruise so much!

In my April cruise all I have to do is drive to the port that is always a plus for me. dh will drop me off and pick me up I am so looking forward in meeting both old friends and new it is getting closer.
