time wasters

We all gave up on the idea of a paperless office years ago. There is always lots of it lying around, so what better way to while away the endless hours between lunch and home time than to try a little origami? This fabulous site will guide you, whether you are a novice or a burgeoning expert, in to the soothing world that is paper folding. Then, take your finished items home with you - so you can show the family what you did at work today!
Among these there there is a butterfly for Mariposa and a bat for batbreath, oops. I mean Duskbat. Really good follow along demo.at Origami Now.

If origami isn't your bag then hours can be spent creating your own flowers then seeing what they would look like when you “grow†a plant featuring them. You can even send them to your friends and colleagues as a measure of your productivity for the day. You will not notice the minutes, let alone the hours, zooming by with this site. A blooming marvelous time waster, if you forgive the pun.

The idiot test
This will take you a long time to complete for two reasons. Firstly, there are lots of “questions†to answer. Secondly, if you get something wrong you have to go all the way back to the beginning. If you have any sort of work-shy tenacity then you won't be able to resist starting all over again.

Convert boring units to real objects as you type!
A guaranteed complete waste of your time in a mindless and enjoyable way, this site allows you to type in any measurement. Then, you will get the equivalent conversion for three real objects. Great to see what your height and weight convert to.

Screaming Beans
Watch the tin of beans fill up and then click on it until it explodes. The beans don't like it of course, and one little guy starts screaming and screaming until you have to put him out of his misery by clicking on him. Then another little bean discovers his mushy mate and starts screaming his little head off too. No problem, squish him too! Be careful, though, they get faster and faster!

Have fun.
